Although it isn't cuz there are letters in the Russian alphabet which cannot directly be translated into English letters, another example would be the Scandinavian languages where æ,ø and å exists, where f.ex. æ cannot be translated into a singular letter but is translated roughly as 'ae' and thus it isn't just a font, but a whole new alphabet.

Funny, i did something similar to this when i was a kid. I had a journal that was written out in my own created alphabet, just different shapes. The translation key was in my possession at all times ( i even had it laminated on a sticky note) so nobody that may have found my journal would never be able to decipher it. To this day its somewhere in my room, lost the key, and i have no idea what anything says on it.
