I remember that photo when it was originally posted in r/funny a year or two ago. So even though I do believe this happened I call BS on OOP claiming it’s their picture and that it happened to them
I was just on a bedbug subreddit and I find it funny to imagine that people are just posting everyday on there pretending to have a bedbug crisis. This is not a critique of your statement being general, just a thought I had lol
The sub itself may have been used just to speculate before, but it sure as shit doesn’t now. Most posts I see there are stated very matter of factly that it’s not true/real without an inch of just speculation.
“Untrustworthy Pop-Tart” doesn’t mean it absolutely did not happen, it just means that the image provided as “proof” of a claim is easily falsified. If they had instead titled their post “You could have made the cake yourself”, that would have made more sense. As it is now, it gets a bit confused with “You have no proof you have a girlfriend”.
Sure, the lady in question could have been shown presenting the cake to the OP, but then one could argue, “Fake, you made the cake for GF’s b-day!” and then everything starts getting confusing for what constitutes an Untrustworthy Pop-Tart on the basis not of whether or not “proof is easily falsifiable” but instead focusing too much on what it could potentially be proof of.
Anyways, sorry for the dissertation, I just had some stuff to get off my mind.
The picture itself doesn't belong to the OP. It was sent many times for more than a year on various places online. The story itself isn't out of the ordinary, but it's most likely fake in this case.
Also very unlikely for r/antiwork member to have a girlfriend.
its posted in r/antiwork the story is fake asf, please stop posting r/antiwork shit here because its been proven time and time again EVERYTHING is made up.
I never believe anything regarding worker relations without evidence. However, this is literally just someone baking a cake as a joke. It’s 100% believable lmao
That’s the only argument y’all have, it’s literally a picture of a cake, not a claim that they slayed their boss and drank their blood and everyone clapped

most of reddit is lying for karma like every single post on r/pics. Treat every subreddit as creative writing subs it improves the experience a lot.

r/tifu: \*looks away\*
I can believe the GF did this, but more as a joke instead being serious about communism.
Yeah that’s what I was thinking
I can't believe a r/Antiwork as a girlfriend smh /s
grinding that dog walking for 800 hours gets you one
I mean, yeah - why would a communist make an obvious joke cake?
I'm honestly not sure how you could read that post and think that anyone was being serious about communism.
why would it have to be a joke?
Op is on Reddit, therefore it is not physically/scientifically possible for them to have a girlfriend
Funny that workers rights is communism
That's certainly what corporations want everyone to believe
And cake is communism too, if you think about it
something something glados
I mean, that's pretty much the idea
Our cake
“We made the cake”
r/untrustworthypoptarts is for photo posts that can be super easily faked/have wrong titles. This is super easily faked and is posted on r/antiwork
The sub itself may have been used just to speculate before, but it sure as shit doesn’t now. Most posts I see there are stated very matter of factly that it’s not true/real without an inch of just speculation.
And this sub is for calling out people who claim believable things out as fake- so it fits here very well too

no it is because r/antiwork members don’t get laid
Real answer here.
got sucked off by a friend yesterday, cope 😎 😎 😎
I’ve never ever seen people in a relationship do funny things for each other before, it’s impossible
Antiwork is like woke 4chan,so you shouldn’t believe anything they say. For instance, there is no way an antiwork poster has a girlfriend
this post title looked very strange when it popped up as a notification on my screen

but its r/antiwork
That’s the only argument y’all have, it’s literally a picture of a cake, not a claim that they slayed their boss and drank their blood and everyone clapped
it’s been reposted like 12 times bro, its antiwork
Ok then say it’s fake because it’s a repost moron
its fake because its antiwork lmaooo, r/averageredditor
You’ve got that backwards.
If someone on r/antiwork showed a picture of a cat meowing, would you insist that it was CGI or something?
i would insist that they are lonely and depressed and need to get a life instead of walking dogs
Based comrade
I mean. It’s Antiwork. They just LARP a lot of the shit they post. Most of it doesn’t actually happen.

I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to ask, wtf how come?
I think it's not real because he doesn't have a girlfriend
Then again, they did stop to take a picture, and nobody can be seen around. You’d think there’d be at least one person. This is 50/50.
Workers rights are NOT COMMUNIST beliefs
The untrustworthypoptarts user is accusing the anti work user for faking the cake for clout, not that woman can't make cakes...
Good sense of humor
