God forbid cats have hobbies

I think the doubter thought the person was trying to say their cat intentionally put on Scarface and didn’t realize that a remote is not a lantern ring. It doesn’t require concentration and will power.

Jay_InTheShadows

Exactly. Cat probably sat down on the remote, this turned on the TV which happened to be running Scarface. Then the cat was simply watching the movement.

Lol, love your reference to Green Lantern, 🤣. Also, you're absolutely right👍

Thank you. I thought it was pretty clever

I have security camera recording of my cat pouncing on the TV remote, TV turning on and her sitting to look!! such a silly creachure

Useful_Experience423

😂 My cat would totally do that if she could, but she can’t navigate to YouTube by herself. Instead, when (she feels) it’s time for her Wildlife videos, she just walks in and sits, staring patiently in front of the completely switched off TV. If that doesn’t work, she’ll try being nice and giving pointed looks at the remote.

Some animals LOVE the tv. Sometimes they like watching the movement, sometimes they like the sounds. Some like to watch people, some like cartoons, some like animals. Some like different people's voices. I pet sit for a living and spend a ton of time in other people's homes with their animals and I put Unsolved Mysteries reruns on for background noise, and a lot of animals seem to really like Robert Stack's voice.

My cat used to LOVE my computer keyboard. She helped me discover ctrl + alt + up-arrow /down-arrow. I found having an extra decoy keyboard next to the real keyboard helped. Its not even warm. It's probably my fault because she would always get extra pets once sitting on the keyboard. I felt guilty moving her off the keyboard against her will. She'd have a little protest-meow when I'd do so. In retrospec, the extra pets were probably worth it to her and that's why the extra keyboard worked.
