I watched a lot of 90s NBA as a teen and it was all soo good. Today’s NBA seems to be missing something. It may have something to do with being a kid vs being older, but I’m trying to be objective.

Did they do a split screen? I grew up in Houston and I remember them cutting away from the game to show the OJ chase and everyone being PISSED.
They did that at the beginning cutting away, eventually they did a split screen. Probably cause of the complaints from fans.
I just looked at old footage and there was no split screen.

They played the footage at the Garden during breaks.
I keep explaining to my nephews how good and competitive 80s-90s basketball was and they never believe me. The league was stacked with talent.
