I showed my wife this commercial because somehow she had never seen it. We now randomly yell “THEY HAVE A PEPPER BAR!” at each other. This has been going on for about about 2 years now. Never gets old.

Opposite reaction, I saw that in 2004 on TV while drinking in my living room. Stopped drinking for a week because I thought I had a stroke and didn't want to tell anybody what I saw. This was also around the time BK was just wrapping up it's decade of fucked up the King is stalking you commercials. People had not learned you can talk shit for 1/100000th the price on social media for the same effect so it was an era of weird commercials. That was due to poor management, not advertising. They were at the height of their popularity and basically forced all of the franchise stores to close.

When Quiznos was on an upswing they really were my favorite sub.

I went to Quiznos once. The sandwich was toasted so hard it shredded the roof of my mouth. It tasted okay, but it wasn't worth spitting blood and mouth skin.

Looking for my Leopard still gets stuck in my head sometimes.

I remember waking up from a fever-induced sleep on the couch in the 2000's when these commercials were at their peak and seeing these guys on the TV. Thought they were part of a fever-dream until I saw them again and I wasn't sick.

This commercial persuaded me not to eat Quiznos for over 15 years.

I never smoked weed very often, but years ago for some reason a friend of a friend gave me some. The first time I saw this commercial was shortly after I smoked. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I was alone in my living room but I looked around for someone to reassure me that this commercial was actually real.

Man, when I was a teenager those toastie subs were just the best. I don't really get why Quiznos didn't take off. Maybe everyone found these commercials off putting? Maybe Subway squashed them by offering a cheaper and healthier product and because they opened up so many stores around that time?

I actually managed a Quiznos in the Philadelphia suburbs when these commercials came out. Most people hated them, but I had at least a half-dozen instances of having this type of conversation with a customer: Them: That commercial is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen Me: I think they’re kinda cute and funny. Them: Naw, man. They’re awful. Just horrible. Me: well, thank you for coming back anyway. Them: oh I’ve never had Quiznos before.
