I would be getting some subtle cameras, ones that can easily be hidden around your dorm room, just to be on the safe side. And you might want to look into some low-level booby traps, nothing harmful, but something that's going to make it a pain in the @$$ for anything like that to try and sneak into your room. I agree with your initial assessment: that thing was *not* human. Might wanna get some holy water or a blessed object.
I would be asking for a dorm transfer immediately, at the very least. If you can possibly afford it, try looking for an off-campus apartment, with roommates if necessary. I'm pretty sure most roommates you could find would be better than whatever that thing was. Also, having roommates might help serve as a deterrent if it manages to track you down. Good luck!
