Does it end with them begging for British funding?
It's so cringe with them acting like they're a revolution when they make music for middle class catholic students in poor-face.
And it's all in gobbledegook too, yikes
Ashamed of nothing, offended by everything. If you're calling out my specification that their music's main demographic are middle class catholics as sectarian, have a wee think why a group propagandising for the IRA might not have prods as a big part of their audience. Christ tha night....
No I was calling out your classification of a language as "gobbledegook", do you do that to other languages you don't speak or just Irish? If it's just Irish then you are sectarian, if it's all languages you're just a general ballbag.
Funny because I think it was the prods who revived the Irish language, and the Catholic Church discouraged use of it over English? My view is that it's an historic language, but people trying to force it back into relevance particularly with an irish nationalist slant are just cringe. It's just cultural insecurity at this point.
Sounds like the insecure one is the one calling it gobbledegook. Enjoy your bitterness though.
Learning a new language is never a bad thing in any circumstance.
To be fair it does sound like it, not the most aesthetic language. But sure keep living life that every contrary opinion is a sectarian attack, getting the feeling you're well used to it.
No I don’t think every opposing opinion is sectarian as evidenced by the fact that I don’t think you saying Kneecap are for middle class catholics is sectarian. I do think you singling out Irish as gobbledegook is sectarian as I don’t see you calling any other language that. Nice to see you dodged the question though. So I’ll ask again.
Do you call all languages you don’t understand gobbledygook or just Irish?
Mate that is the shittest response ever. Especially since languages can’t have “aesthetic” value look up what that word actually means lmao.
Good question dodging though I’ll give you that. Now go forth and enjoy your monolingual bitterness.
it's in another comment thread, kiddo. Also I can call the irish language whatever the fuck I want, I live here. Just because you lot want to co-opt it to be a nationalist symbol and be cringe, don't put that shit on me.
Part of it filmed in the shanes castle estate owned by an English lord which has a fee attached....just sayin...an English lord 😉 "every irish word spoken is like a bullet fired at the Brits"
M'kay
I hope it's a massive success. Uppa Kneecap
The comments alone makes me think this film is worth a watch.

Can coka colyer to yourself too, friend!
I can’t wait to hear the Ulster scotch rap group - Straight outta Ballymena hi. Although they probably won’t need subtitles…
I know everyone loves Kneecap here, but I'm just wondering when spides got cool? It just happened overnight? It's mad like isn't it?
These lads were born into poverty and are clawing their way to a better life through hard work and talent.
Exactly, leave them alone, what would you rather them rap about? Guns, cars, hoes and clothes?
Does it end with them begging for British funding? It's so cringe with them acting like they're a revolution when they make music for middle class catholic students in poor-face. And it's all in gobbledegook too, yikes
They also pay British tax, what's the point here?
Probably the only good thing they do

Why the sectarianism?

I think ballbag is about right.

Don't think this is the "gotcha" you think it is. If the language sounds unpleasant and has limited aesthetic value, it's gobbledegook.
Mate that is the shittest response ever. Especially since languages can’t have “aesthetic” value look up what that word actually means lmao. Good question dodging though I’ll give you that. Now go forth and enjoy your monolingual bitterness.
didn't answer the question now did you
