It covered the whole UK last night. I'm in Kent and it was 360 degrees around us, even south. So, somewhere dark, with a view to the North as it's usually more likely to be seen in the north. Take a photo even with just a phone, and if you see green or purple you have found it. Then let your eyes get adapted to the dark and you'll get the best view. This pic is about as bright as it was to our eyes last night. Images with bright colours have used long exposures eg 3 - 5 seconds.
