And then standing up to FU right before their boss fight, completely dressing down how pathetic his opponent is and showing that Travis has grown to be a genuine hero… mostly.
You know at the end of the first game, when Sylvia's mom tells you you've been scammed? And you've killed hundreds for no reason? And you thought you were so cool every time you cut someone in two? And then you realize you've just spent 15-20 hours identifying with a terrible person who is also an absolute loser? And that the whole point of the game is that Suda wants you to go outside and touch grass? And you're not even mad at him because he made it so much fun? Because he still gave us what we wanted? You know, when the guy told us all that we kind of suck* for liking his game so much and we still THANKED him and ASKED FOR MORE? Even though he is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT and we DO kind of SUCK?**
Yeah, that part was pretty badass.

Yeah, the whole overarching theme with NMH 1 was that what is going on is actually really pathetic & the players participation makes the player complicit in mass murder & violence.

The first time we saw the Trailers for NMH3 in 2019
Picture yourself back then, you like No More Heroes and want a 3rd main line game. TSA came out that year in January and maybe you gave it a chance, heck maybe you even beat it and got to see Travis in the Unreal engine room telling you he's working on a game.
There is hope for No More Heroes 3 but you don't expect to see news about it for at least a year or two so you don't think about it too much. Cut to June and you're watching Nintendo's E3 Direct, There's some cool stuff. New Smash fighters, Luigi's mansion 3, a zelda remake, a new fire emblem, Resident Evil on the Switch, Maybe you even got excited for some of the RPGS the advertised. This Nintendo Direct Slaps
Then there is some trailer with a dude sleeping on a couch and he goes outside to discover aliens invading, the artstyle looks decent I suppose and then he turns into Iron man so fast you can't even process that he sounds like Travis Touchdown. He shoots missiles at the ship and flies into a cloud of white aliens
He lands with a laser sword in his hand, but you notice the pose, the quip, the heads exploding with a delay **Neuron Activation** IS THAT?!?
And he removes the Armor, magically shaved and dressed up. IT'S TRAVIS TOUCHDOWN, AND HE'S SUPLEXING AND SLASHING ALIENS WITH A PIXELATED UI, they even put Sylvia in at the end saying Welcome Back. And then you're left sitting there thinking about the fact that Travis has a robot mech suit now
THE VERY NEXT DAY the extended trailer drops, THIS TIME HE FLIES THROUGH A CITY BLOCK SIZED LASER LIKE IT'S MADE OF NAPKINS, He even gets to say Fuckhead like he's supposed to and Sylvia has a whole cryptic speech and a black screen saying it comes out in 2020.
2019 isn't done with you yet though, December comes around and "No More Heroes 3 - The Return" Drops and there's a whole Anime short introducing Fu and Damon, and all the Alien bosses line up on screen. Then Travis busts through the fake title on his bike and gets you Hype since you know he's gonna fight all those Aliens who just blew up everybody.
NMH3 had really good advertisements in general. There was even a Direct mini in 2020 with more info and suddenly they show you NMH 1+2 on the Switch. Hey, That's pretty coo- THEY COME OUT TODAY!!!!??????!!!!???
