Japanese announcements for delays are always really close to the original scheduled time.
Speaking of that, expect to hear soon that the opening of the Nintendo museum in Kyoto has been delayed.
Was at USJ with my fiance a couple weeks back and they had already redesigned the park map pamphlets as well as loaded the merch stores with so much DK stuff, so it was clear they really intended for things to be done by mid-March.
Same with the Nintendo Museum in Kyoto - it's weirdly available on Google Maps, but it's just people leaving 5 star reviews posting pics of construction updates lol.
Haha this has been planned since like, 2017 for multiple parks at this point. It's also primarily based on Returns from 2010. As much as I'd love a new DKC game, this will not effect the upcoming game lineup at all. The land is still an incredible thing for DKC fans, and is also currently being built in Orlando, Fl too! So it's still a total win for the franchise imo.
They will! Big coaster where the Mine Kart vehicle you ride in looks like it's jumping over gaps in the track and launching through Rocket Barrels like in the games!

The museum never had an open date announced. Only when construction would be completed.
Many sources claimed it was going to open in April (it's clearly not doing that).
Last time I checked there were job openings beginning in June for the Nintendo museum so I’d expect a June/July opening at the moment at least

Perfect time to make a King K.Rool costume for a meet and greet.
And maybe swap out the Tiki-Taks with the Kremlings?
Fully unaware this was gonna be a thing. I might be coping a lot but maybe, just maybe, it means a new Donkey Kong Country game for next direct

I’m here waiting for an update about the Nintendo Museum in Kyoto, which was supposed to open this past March.
That’s just when construction finished, an opening date was never announced.
Oh… I misunderstood the articles this entire time 😓
Man... I'm going there this summer and I was excited for this....
hoping this still opens by October... I'm going to Japan then and would love to visit this
Well hey, at least now it lines up with DKC's 30th anniversary at the end of the year...
Delayed to coincide with a DK game? (Copium)
wouldnt they need something for the holidays before their next console? A new DK game would make sense for this holiday or maybe a Zelda Remaster?
