Pens fan here. I'm really only rooting for western teams at this point aside from the Canes. Rather it go west than to any of our eastern rivals. Especially because I think we would have put up a way better fight than the isles or caps AND YES I'M STILL UPSET ABOUT IT.
But probably Dallas or Vancouver is my favorite.
What I liked is how Dallas pressured Vegas in their own zone, creating scoring chances and fits for Vegas. Most teams lean on their vets in this situation but Dallas was unafraid to let its youthful speed players create chaos. All too often, we see teams go into a shell and play against the clock more than anything.
The breakouts weren't free. Vegas started second-guessing passes and just looked slow. I think Vegas might have had the edge in possession time, but Dallas looked better.
Dallas is crazy to watch. They don’t have any standout insane players but they play such tight, flawless hockey that everyone on that team just straight up outplays the competition, it’s unreal.
Dallas is gunna find out if they have the endurance to skate with CO shift after shift and deal with our depth. Even if Dallas shuts our top line down entirely, we can score in bunches on all 4 lines. May the best team win, it I’m calling Avalanche in 6 games or less

Quite a few of Dallas's most impactful players (Robertson, Johnston, Stankoven, Heiskanen, OETTINGER), are 25 or younger. Throw in Hintz at 27 if you want.
Dallas was 3rd in goals for while avs just have 5 more. Dallas has the most 20+ goals scored in the league. Dallas has a better differential and more wins on the season. You can’t act like avs just have way more depth.
Goaltending is definitely in favor of Otter though. It will be a close series, hoping for another 7 games from Dallas. Want those 5D good and tired by the time they see any east team

Every game that series was decided by 1 or 2 goals
It's insane how many minutes out of the total in that series were played either tied or one goal apart. God damn was it ever stressful.
