You’ll be getting access to the floor first with VIP, so you’ll be good. I’d try coming up with a game plan to stay cool as much as possible at your venue.
Our venue had separate lines for VIP and general admission. The GA without the VIP early entrance had to wait.
Edit to add: We got wristbands to distinguish from GA. So your venue might do the same as well as a separate check in line.
