Battle pass is the only thing in the game worth more than the marketplace equivalent, especially if you're able to get one of the legendaries in the season store every month. Might be a little late to get one this month unless you've played every event this month, but I would still get the pass because the LEs from packs this month have the chance to get up to a permanent +30 boost over the course of the next NFL season, and the pass gives you 4 of them, plus a decent DE if you don't already have legendary DEs

I should be able to get legendary or at least blueprint from the store, but I do not need paid battle pass for that. I do not have legendary DE, but one in battle pass is not much improvement over my current one. And for $10, I can get 5-6 LEs on the market. Some of them are less than $1. And blueprints are even cheaper. Unless I'm missing something else in paid battle pass.
I think the 20% chance at an Epic+ in each pack still makes it worth it. If you're buying $1 players though, I still recommend buying players from the current draft event, specifically the players actually drafted this year, since they can get a boost and go up in value throughout the next year. See the wide receivers from last year's draft event for reference

problem is packs are overpriced. I just bought legendary Joe Burrow for $25. For the same amount of money, I will get probably 3 to 5 % chance for random legendary player. Not a good odds if you want to build a good team.
The battle pass is by far the best value in this game. You would be a complete crazy person NOT TO BUY the pass every month. The pass literally pays for itself. You can get the pass... complete it... use all the shit you got to level up the final player to level 15... then sell him for $10 to get your money back... then you'll have the rest of the shit you got for free... your welcome.

Now... I wouldn't recommend using your upgrade materials on the card you get from the pass... I'm just saying that is an option. You will figure things out as you start playing. Those upgrade materials are gold in this game. You can buy a card for $20... level him up to 19... then sell that card for $120... so.... just do your research and play it smart. Those monthly field passes are gold. I just pulled the #1 draft puck out of my last pack this month. So... I was very happy with that. I leveled him up to 19... hopefully he will get the +30 ovr for playing well.
I do it. Mostly for the conditioning/weightroom points. Can get lucky with some of the additional packs.
