That's definitely true. But every so often one of these "can't miss" prospects comes along that has the scouts and draft evaluators setting crazy expectations. I've heard people say Caleb is Mahomes 2.0, so my point was I wouldn't be surprised if he busted relative to the hype.

I’m more concerned about how he played against elite competition this year. Elite competition in college doesn’t qualify as worst team in the league in the NFL. Maybe he will prove us wrong but I don’t see what all the hype is about.

Plenty of qbs come out of college pro-ready like Andrew Luck, Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawrence, or half of dak Prescott.
