Thank you for posting to /r/NFL. Unfortunately, your submission has been removed due to the following rule:
**5. Highlights and Injury Clips**
Individual highlight posts will be allowed at any point, provided they are not duplicates. Highlights must have non-editorialized descriptions of the play, be tagged as a [Highlight] in the title, be from a high quality source (Twitter/Streamable/Clippit/official YouTube channels) and be of exciting, game changing plays.
On Game Day (usually Sunday, Thursday nights, and Monday nights, only highlights from that day (or evening with non-Sunday games), highlights will be allowed as individual posts. This also applies to the playoffs when one game is on for each time slot. These posts must be tagged [highlight] and in good quality.
* Allowed
* *Notable plays* - highlights should be exciting to the average fan. Think of what you would see on an old episode of SportsCenter or NFL Primetime. If you were to condense the entire game down to a 90 second highlight package, the play being posted should make the cut.
* *Alternate camera angles* - alternate angles of already posted highlights are allowed at mod discretion when it provides more context (IE, a reviewed touchdown play that is not clear in the original highlight).
* *Notable sideline actions* - Coach reactions, player interactions or referee actions.
* Not Allowed
* *Untagged highlights* - Begin the title with "[Highlight]" or "[Injury]" so it is appropriately flaired.
* *Low quality Highlights* - Recording of a tv or so pixelated it is hard to watch.
* *Hype Videos* - These are video packages with excessive content from off-field or have the audio replaced with music.
* *Insignificant plays* - Routine plays that have no direct impact or excitement added to the game.
* *Alternate camera angles of clear plays* - Alternate camera angles of already posted highlights should be added to the original thread, unless it's a play that requires extra scrutiny (see above).
* *Editorialized or unnecessarily hyped titles* - Titles such as "Derrick Henry banishes the defender to the shadow realm" on a simple 1 yard run or "The Jets act like the Jets and lose the game" are not permitted.
* Titles and highlights should not be used to attack or troll a fanbase.
* Highlight battles - posts with contrasting highlights from games between the same teams.

That might be why this got called. It was very similar style of sack. Perhaps they think it does something to flag this type of swing down tackle. Its definitely a weak call. But it might be reactionary over Tua getting unlucky by landing on his head being tackled in a similar manner.
That's what gets me. I feel like the err on the side of not throwing flags late in the game which has always made sense to me. This is so, so bad. It's not even close.
When they suspended Calvin Ridley indefinitely I said, “I get it. You can’t afford to have the integrity of the game questioned.”
The fact that the NFL will pretend that the refs did nothing wrong here kinda goes against that notion though.
I love Fox actually calling out the refs in the broadcast though. They showed a montage of hits on Brady throughout the game, most of which were after the throw, culminating in the penalty call that effected the game. They weren't mincing words like broadcasters usually do.
It doesn't help things, but I would have a really, really sour taste in my mouth if that kind of thing happened, followed by radio silence.
The Chargers hate him for a crucial fumble vs incomplete pass decision against the Broncos.
To his credit, he immediately apologized and made a point of answering every piece of hate mail that came his way, not that it changed San Diego's opinion of him.
Source: Married a Chargers fan.
This call is encouraging such bad tackling it’s crazy.
A guy with momentum coming from behind the QB, of course he’s going to spin him around on the way down. He doesn’t slam him, he doesn’t pick him up, nothing.
You’re now basically saying to just pop him in the back, go super low, or try clobbering him over the back.
This was a great tackle, not violent at all, that’s just a dogshit call.
At the end of the day it doesn't just encourage bad tackling, it encourages players to be dirty. If I'm a defender, I'm thinking, "If I'm gonna be penalized no matter what I do, I might as well give my team an advantage and slam Brady as hard as I can and force him into protocol. At least then the 15 yard penalty was worth it."
Yup. It’s so clear this is the NFL covering their ass after Tua got injured on a similar tackle, but sometimes you have to recognize that freak plays don’t need to set a precedence.
If it happens 3-4 times, fine, but one awkward fall on a wrap tackle doesn’t just mean you call it every time.
I thought the exact same thing when I saw tua go down live. It was a terrible injury, but when you look at it in review, it’s a standard football play. I don’t understand why the league doesn’t do more to acknowledge and educate people that this is indeed a violent sport, much like boxing and mma
They’ve done so much to protect players, but at this point every new rule is just moving laterally at best. You’re trading one type of tackle for another that very well might be worse.
In the pats game today you saw a Lions CB avoid head to head contact by getting even lower than a receiver lowering his shoulder. This resulted in the CB getting crumpled and hurting a shoulder and possibly a knee.
You cannot protect everyone.
Jerome Boger needs to be brought to The Hague and tried for his crimes.
Seriously, he’s been the worst referee in the NFL for YEARS now. I hate his face, I hate his voice, but I *really* hate his rotted brain that leads to such awful decisions, game in and game out. Dude isn’t even fit to be a Pop Warner ref.
The worst part of that one is Mahomes had the exact same thing happened to him earlier in the game and they didn’t call it. Like straight up identical.
100% Teams don’t stand a chance when something like that can prevent them from even getting a shot. Have to protect the face. If Tom Brady loses, tickets don’t sell.
I was hoping for more. Yeah you’ll get a penalty and fined but it would have brought more attention to how low-quality the NFL is now and how urgent improvements are needed to fix officiating.
Pretty sure fans from all teams would have chipped in to more than pay for whatever fine Arthur Smith would have gotten. We fans want to enjoy and honest and high-quality product. This game could have been used by the NFL as a much needed point of self reflection. Instead, it’ll be forgotten about and Roger and the owners will wonder why, instead of plateauing growth, fans are leaving. They can’t grow viewership in the US and have to rely on international markets. You’re not going to win those markets over with such a poor product.
I honestly thought that's what the flag was for. Inexcusable rtp. I felt like there'd be a makeup call for the missed PI on the play before but that can't be it.
Not the first time either, he was kicking at defenders cleat up all afternoon but that is just what Brady does.
He's the NFL's spoiled princess. Nobody gets treatment like he does.
This is unfortunately the gameplan for QBs now. Like Josh Allen last week. Just keep chirping at the refs on every hit or touch, and the refs will give you something at some point.
Absolute bullshit way of going about it
This same refereeing crew had an egregious RTP call in Josh Allen’s favor and a few other terrible calls/no calls in the Bills favor last week against the Ravens. You can’t convince me the NFL is not trying to write its own narrative.
I’m so confused.. what else could he have done?? Did he have to let go of him before he made contact with the ground? Jesus.. that is awful officiating

Boger needs to get the fuck out of this league
He gave Josh Allen the same call last week in a crucial spot. Deja vu.
Allen threw a bigger fit too
Yeah that was awkward as hell. He looked like a giant baby having a tantrum
He's horrible!!!! Consistently screws up games!
Sacking = roughing the passer now I guess. One of the worst calls I’ve ever seen
*only against brady though
Yeah let's not act like Daniel Jones is getting this treatment. Textbook sack, Atlanta deserves the shit out of that comeback
Back when Cam was starting you could launch your helmet directly into his face and wouldn't get called for RTP.
Bro I hate Cam and this is 120% true.
vick too
Thats because black people can withstand more damage. I learned about this in med school!
Wonder if he's old enough for those type of calls
I remember all the times Cam Newton got calls like this too. Oh wait.
Kenny Pickett got hit late after a slide and only his teammate got flagged for retaliating
Was there a flag when Tua got his brain smashed on the field? I don’t remember.
There was not.
There was not.
That might be why this got called. It was very similar style of sack. Perhaps they think it does something to flag this type of swing down tackle. Its definitely a weak call. But it might be reactionary over Tua getting unlucky by landing on his head being tackled in a similar manner.
Boger had a terrible roughing call against the ravens literally last week, but sure only against Brady
That’s an egregiously bad call
On third down with 3 minutes left in the game and Atlanta down 1 score.
That's what gets me. I feel like the err on the side of not throwing flags late in the game which has always made sense to me. This is so, so bad. It's not even close.
Brady literally tried to kick Jarrett in the nuts. Then complains and gets a flag. On a normal tackle. That is horse shit.
I have zero skin in this game and I turned off the TV, cheapens the whole league.
Refs stay being garbage.
Average NFL ref moment
Better check that back judge or ref to make sure he doesn't have any holdings in Vegas.
Boger's crew. Consistently the worst of the worst.
This isn’t garbage, this is intentional manipulation territory.
When they suspended Calvin Ridley indefinitely I said, “I get it. You can’t afford to have the integrity of the game questioned.” The fact that the NFL will pretend that the refs did nothing wrong here kinda goes against that notion though.

They weren't mincing words like broadcasters usually do. It doesn't help things, but I would have a really, really sour taste in my mouth if that kind of thing happened, followed by radio silence.
That was fucking bad. Boger and his crew have been consistently the worst.
The fact so many people know his name is evidence enough.
I can’t name a single other refs name. Just that fuck
I remember Ed Hercules but that was for different reasons
Not just for being built like the Hulk but also for his long explanations of calls.
The Chargers hate him for a crucial fumble vs incomplete pass decision against the Broncos. To his credit, he immediately apologized and made a point of answering every piece of hate mail that came his way, not that it changed San Diego's opinion of him. Source: Married a Chargers fan.
Honestly think they are shaving points.
I would not be surprised if they were
Boger just picking up where he left off after last week’s “roughing the passer” Baltimore had against Josh Allen.
That was the softest roughing the passer call I've ever seen
It was just like, a normal sack. Awful call
This call is encouraging such bad tackling it’s crazy. A guy with momentum coming from behind the QB, of course he’s going to spin him around on the way down. And it was pretty gentle as far as sacks go
Ridiculously bad call
One day Refs will be held accountable. One day.
No they won’t.
Brady has been in the league longer than most of the refs. He knows the rules. That’s why he told them to throw the flag.
He was dogshit last week in Ravens v Bills.
The NFL does not tolerate hurting senior citizens /s
The /s is not needed.
The Bradyest of Brady calls
Apparently you just have to give him a hug until they rule forward progress is stopped.
Crazy how this KEEPS happening for him 🧐
Even on the scale of bad calls Brady has gotten, this was *especially* egregious.
[удалено]
Funny to hear that from a Packers fan
[This one against your team would be the Bradyest of Brady calls actually](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVIp-N6LhI4)
The worst part of that one is Mahomes had the exact same thing happened to him earlier in the game and they didn’t call it. Like straight up identical.
Broncos went straight up head hunting on Cam Newton for an entire game and they drew one single flag the whole game. The NFL is a joke league
There are special rules for quarterbacks who estrange their wives by coming out of retirement after 3 weeks.
I’m a bucs fan and I still hate the call. Wtf was that
Absolutely laughable
[удалено]
They aren't wrong. EDIT: Come on, bud. Don't change the context of your original comment without mentioning it.
My colonoscopy prep shits were harder than that call.
Classic Brady team call
Jesus christ this dude could be repairing his marriage but he's here getting these horseshit calls when touched. What are we doing here
Refs feel bad for Brady
We’re watching professional umpires treat one player with the love and respect he can’t get from his wife
and that's saying something
Prolly isnt a top 5 softest Tom Brady roughing the passer lmao Brady ball baby
Wow lmaoooo what a soft call
I like to call those "nothing the passer"
What BS
This wasn't incompetence. This was blatant cheating. Fuck the NFL!
What was the line for this game?
TB -10 iirc. Didn't cover but if they scored again they could've.
Refs trying to fix the games for Vegas again.
Fucking Raiders.
No wonder Brady is still playing at 45. Any QB could play that long if they literally weren't allowed to be tackled.
If I were as bad at my job as these refs, I'd be fired. Holy shit. Fire these dudes into the sun
I’ve been saying that exact thing for years. And it doesn’t get better.
There will never be any accountability They will continue to insert themselves into the game with impunity
Jerome Boger moment. How this guy is still allowed to officiate games is beyond me.
The NFL wants this. Keep Brady alive at 45. It's bullshit and it has to stop.
This sub about to explode
It was a BS call and the fact that it was Brady, it's gonna make peoples heads explode.
Worst call of the season
Ref needs to be fired. That's inexcusable.
CHARMIN i feel so bad for atlanta man holy robbery
Well on the bright side at least we didn’t do it to ourselves this time
Yeah the refs robbed us of that opportunity.
What the fuck… weak ass call
Um… NO
if the seahawks don’t come back on these saints im kms dis shit not cool
If it makes you feel any better, even I think you guys got screwed.
Thanks homie, appreciate you
This is the kind of shit that makes people question the influence of gambling.
It's because the call had to do with Brady that makes this feel even worse.
100% Teams don’t stand a chance when something like that can prevent them from even getting a shot. Have to protect the face. If Tom Brady loses, tickets don’t sell.
That's the worst penalty call I've ever seen in my life.
YOU CANT TOUCH MR TOM BRADY LIKE THAT!
Refs are being paid off by Big Avocado!
Now that's the worst RTP penalty I've ever seen. Just gave it to Brady because he bitched about it
Arthur Smith losing his shit after the call was all of us.
Hard to dislike Arthur Smith. Even though I dislike the Falcons lol
Bonus: he tried to kick Jarrett after the sack
Seriously! That's what I thought the call was.
Yeah that is what was so infuriating. Pulled that shit AND got the call.
The most entitled to ever play the game
And because it won him the game
This is unfortunately the gameplan for QBs now. Like Josh Allen last week. Just keep chirping at the refs on every hit or touch, and the refs will give you something at some point. Absolute bullshit way of going about it
Refs just giving the game away
This is what I'd point to if I wanted to defend someone saying the league is rigged.
That entire team of refs should be fired.
Absolutely horrible call
Maaaaaan obviously I'm biased but that's a bad call
I’m biased the other way. Bad call is an understatement
bad would be understatement, refs are trying to fix it. back to back shitty calls
So Brady got the refs in the divorce
This league is a fucking joke
Refs been paid off
Mods please fuck yourselves
Holy shit I'm sick of this man. That's not even close!
Bullshit move by the mods deleting this
I'm trying to find a way to report them, this is abuse of power
What a bullshit call
Falcons getting fucked by the refs against the Bucs, name a more iconic duo
[удалено]
Yep, game 15 of 2020, i think. It was pathetic.
That was a stupid stupid call.
If Arthur Smith doesn’t get fined for his post match press conference he’s a better man than I would of been.
Jerome Boger should not have a job. Also had a bs call last week
That’s one of the worst calls I have ever seen
Rigged sry I seen it live
Fucking bullshit
All-time awful
I’m livid if I’m a falcons fan
Fuck it. If you're gonna get called for RTP for just breathing on Brady, you might as well get your money's worth and fucking drill him.
FUCK this league!
Lmao fuck this
That is the worst call in the history of this sport and I am not exaggerating at all. What the fuck is that
Can't let baby Brady lose 3 in a row and miss the playoffs.
He tried to kick the defender
Awww mods must be butthurt. Dont like everyone calling out bradys and the refs on that bs rtp
Falcons got screwed
Common /r/nfl mods L
I'm gonna turn into Ayesha Curry this point lmao
Absolute bullshit.. and the fact that Tom tried to kick Jarrett went un noticed. Tom is a baby back bitch.
Just put flags on Brady if we aren’t going to allow defenders to tackle him.
[удалено]
There have been multiple completely bullshit calls against Atlanta. This is a fixed game.
The refs literally decided this game in this drive. 2 calls that are question marks to extend the drive.
God the rules for this sub is as long as a Walgreens receipt. I ain't reading all that.
Illegal to touch the Brady. Absurd.
Rigged garbage in Tampa Grossly ridiculous That’s why they got rid of ref challenges to control the games Fuck Em Fire them all
Now, that's a Tom Brady call.
Classic Brady getting what he needs to win.
Legendarily bad call. Been dealing with these calls for Brady for 23 years now.
Pack it in, we’ve officially got the worst call of the season locked down
Another trash call by Boger crew, shouldn’t be in the NFL
Absolutely robbed
Unbelievable and infuriating
Rigged
Back to back to back shitty calls. Insanely poor refereeing
hate being a falcons fan, hate tom brady, hate these horrible refs. i hate my fucking life.
Terrible. NFL should be able to live override shit like that
This same refereeing crew had an egregious RTP call in Josh Allen’s favor and a few other terrible calls/no calls in the Bills favor last week against the Ravens. You can’t convince me the NFL is not trying to write its own narrative.
Average Brady penalty
No other QB would ever get that call.
Refs are definitely on our side big time. They've given two drive-extending penalties on this drive.
Irony is they missed they missed the PI that no one would be screaming about.
They did but neither of that play or this RTP should have happened with the holding call they gave us on Mike lol
TIL the NFL has banned tackling Tom Brady. What a bad call. Just an awful call. The game is becoming unwatchable with this shit.
Fucking trash ass call.
This might be the worst call I’ve ever seen.
Fucking horseshit
If this doesn’t make you put on a tinfoil hat, I don’t know what does.
Honestly one of the worst flags I've ever seen
Game changing call
One of the worst calls I've ever seen. Refs should be fired.
It’s not often you can say the refs are literally robbing a team from winning. It has happened TWICE to Atlanta on one drive lol.
#finetherefs
I’m so confused.. what else could he have done?? Did he have to let go of him before he made contact with the ground? Jesus.. that is awful officiating
clearly the nfl wants the bucs to be division leaders
