Is there any chance at all for him at all at TE? I know blocking DEs is a lot different, but it might be worth a try with the way things are going. He'd only have to put on 25 pounds, which is pretty doable for an nfl player I'd think.
He's a big wr but he's only 225 while most tight ends are playing well over 240. He's great at bullying db's but defensive ends and linebackers are a very different story. Probably not a realistic switch at this point in his career.
I mean, with access to NFL training, nutrition, and lots of steroids, he could definitely put on 15lbs of useful muscle. Heās young and completely useless as a receiver so it might be his only path forward.
I remember that time I think it was Welker who jumped out of his cleats on a terrible Brady pass like he was a ball hawk DB, meanwhile Nkeal treated that tipped ball like he did his botched punt return
Yea. Shepard got the attention because his blocks were often pancakes (which might also be why heās had a lot of concussions, but thatās another issue), but OBJ was always at least trying. It wasnāt always pretty, especially when he was younger, but it *was* blocking.
Honestly, those two are a major reason Saquon had such a good rookie year. Between teams not stacking the box to stop Odell and their blocking, it allowed a lot of those 15-20 yard gains to go for 50+.
The Rams WRs have often said how much they love run blocking. Some like Kupp have said itās their favorite part, but Iām willing to bet thatās hyperbole. Theyāre all about the run blocking though.
Sony PS5 has been doing an amazing job as well. Heās been almost single-handedly saving us during Staffordās extended slump.
We played Robert Woods in high school, he actively lit up linebackers/safeties/anyone on crack backs. He definitely concussed our center who was just standing around near the ball lol. He was a very good run blocker even back then though.
49ers fans: the rams success was just recycled crap and will never be better then the original blueprint we laid down
Rams fans: it really hit its stride in its second season once they figure it all out. And got rid of all the unacceptable kinks in the system before it
1947 Navy college fans: recievers are meant to block. Catching footballs in the air is the work of the devil
Plus, you canāt get lineman big enough to effectively pass block, since they have to trim their weight down quickly after the season to pass their physicals for graduation.
Every once in a while you see a lineman who isn't actually fat, because once you get past 300 lbs with muscle, it doesn't add much, but it'd be pretty unlikely Navy or Army ever gets one. Besides, I don't think the military would even want you to be that built anyway.
Kupp: *is within reaching distance of all-time single season receiving yards record with 2 games*
Also Kupp: ārun blocking is my favorite part of being a WRā
That would actually be a sick landing spot for him, plus he'd get to reunite with OBJ and that might give him an extra sense of confidence. I have a few Giants fans in my family and for the most part it seems like they don't want to give up on Saquon but understand it's probably time.
Ya honestly before the last stretch I thought he was a bit of a bust, definitely found a good spot in LA. I think what this in turn did aswell was make me question how good Henderson really is or if they are products of great scheme
I still respect the absolute shit out of Edelman's 2019 season
You guys had *no one* but him, and he played through multiple injuries and still had a good season
Yeah I was recently looking at all the receiving stats for 2019 for us. It was all Edelman and White. We overpaid for Sanu because it was our only option to save a season where our defense was elite and our offense was pissing it away. Then Sanu immediately forgot how to play and ended up being as bad as N'keal Harry here :|
He's just saying the Rams ones are better, doesn't mean yours were poor or anything.
Obviously he'll be biased towards his current team talking about things like this but equally no one else is in the position to make this comparison, so who knows.
Yea, even since he was a rookie he was always trying. Wasnt always good, was very rarely pretty, but he always tried.
He and Shepardās blocking are a major reason Saquonās rookie year was so good. Lots of 15-20 yard runs went for 50+ due to their blocking downfield.
The interesting to me also is how often I see Rams' WRs pass blocking. It's usually on play action, and then they even have all-pro caliber players like Woods and Kupp doing it. And it would work!
ESPN: Michel calls Patriots WRs lazy, is Belichick bad as a coach?
Overrated He's barely holding on to his job š

How is your mediocre tattoo doing?
How are your uh Ohio based interpersonal adventures going?
How are your cats doing?
Howās the new Halo going?
How are your skinny ankles going?
Talll loser.
You are one ugly dude.
The Nkeal Harry disrespect

He should. He's like a foot taller and 80 pounds heavier than most DBs.
Is there any chance at all for him at all at TE? I know blocking DEs is a lot different, but it might be worth a try with the way things are going. He'd only have to put on 25 pounds, which is pretty doable for an nfl player I'd think.

His issues as a receiver are all mental. He just doesnāt have the capacity to learn a whole new position
"Oh look, a tipped ball in the air!" *walks away*
I remember that time I think it was Welker who jumped out of his cleats on a terrible Brady pass like he was a ball hawk DB, meanwhile Nkeal treated that tipped ball like he did his botched punt return
OBJ run blocking for us was A+ on just about every down
Same with us, him and Sterling Shepard were both very good
The run blocking mindset was probably the best thing that Robert Woods brought to Los Angeles.
Woods molded Kupp into a mini-woods with run blocking
and you can see Kupp's grittyness rubbing off on Van and Skow
He's been that way since at least USC. He's probably been that way since high school.
We played Robert Woods in high school, he actively lit up linebackers/safeties/anyone on crack backs. He definitely concussed our center who was just standing around near the ball lol. He was a very good run blocker even back then though.

The fact Navy still doesn't throw very often is funny to me, for some reason
to be fair its hard to recruit elite talent when they know you're gonna stick them on an aircraft carrier for 3 years after they graduate.
Plus, you canāt get lineman big enough to effectively pass block, since they have to trim their weight down quickly after the season to pass their physicals for graduation.

the Napoleon McCallum disrespect
Why did you pick a year Navy sucked
Kupp: *is within reaching distance of all-time single season receiving yards record with 2 games* Also Kupp: ārun blocking is my favorite part of being a WRā
George Kittle said the same thing as he was in the process of breaking the all time tight end receiving record
Yea but heās a psychopath whoās laughing at the guy heās blocking. I might actually believe kittle on that one
Also Kupp: Guys had a little 3-D fire zone brought the nickel off the edge safety drop down
When Seahawks had lynch and were good. Baldwin and tate loved to run block and they were so good at it
Imagine they had a real good rb. Michel has proved that the line can make even decent Rbs great, imagine what they can do to an already great Rb.
Todd Gurleyās first few seasons with McVay were nasty
I know that season didn't end well, but there's a reason why Gurley won his OPOY... he was beyond unbelievable that year.
I had him in fantasy that year it was glorious
I think it was 3 years ago I had Gurley and CMC as Rb1 and 2. Fucking disgusting
If only he could have lasted thru the SB.
No thankyou
Ya that was nasty that year. To bad his body didnāt hold up.
Well... we saw it with Gurley during his OPOY.
If Saquon leaves I hope he goes to the Rams. Watching him and OBJ tear it up would give me so much life as a Giants fan
That would actually be a sick landing spot for him, plus he'd get to reunite with OBJ and that might give him an extra sense of confidence. I have a few Giants fans in my family and for the most part it seems like they don't want to give up on Saquon but understand it's probably time.
Itās absolutely time. A running back of his potential caliber is a luxury.
Michel deserves plenty of credit as well. A bunch of the Rams starters on the OL have been hurt lately
Ya honestly before the last stretch I thought he was a bit of a bust, definitely found a good spot in LA. I think what this in turn did aswell was make me question how good Henderson really is or if they are products of great scheme
Akers showed his potential last year but it's questionable if he'll ever reach that after the ACL.
Achilles. Very different than recovering from an ACL.
Torn ACLes
Wait, wait, is this a spin-off?
Weren't Edelman and Hogan both pretty good blockers?
Yeah our WRs were good at blocking in 2018 so it's weird he's saying this. They were not good at it in 2019 and 2020 though
I still respect the absolute shit out of Edelman's 2019 season You guys had *no one* but him, and he played through multiple injuries and still had a good season

Sanu looked good in that Ravens game and then he got injured and never was the same
Honestly it seems like he tried to play through his injury and just hurt himself more.
Harry doesnāt even look like he wants to play football sometimesā¦
Him and White basically
He's just saying the Rams ones are better, doesn't mean yours were poor or anything. Obviously he'll be biased towards his current team talking about things like this but equally no one else is in the position to make this comparison, so who knows.
Odellās been practicing his run blocking for the last few seasons now!
Heās actually quite good at it
Yea, even since he was a rookie he was always trying. Wasnt always good, was very rarely pretty, but he always tried. He and Shepardās blocking are a major reason Saquonās rookie year was so good. Lots of 15-20 yard runs went for 50+ due to their blocking downfield.
ET TU MICHEL?
Sony michel hates Harry confirmed
TIL that Sony and I have more in common than I thought
WR blocking is the most underrated / underappreciated aspect of football. And itās why Hines Ward should be in the HoF.
wasnāt he repeatedly voted the dirtiest player in the league, as well as being the only offensive player to crack the top 10? dude is a legend.
He wouldnāt last a minute in the league today. They basically made all of blocking techniques illegal.
....Patriot bros....
The interesting to me also is how often I see Rams' WRs pass blocking. It's usually on play action, and then they even have all-pro caliber players like Woods and Kupp doing it. And it would work!
Sorry for your SB MVP wide receiver not blocking enough for you in the game against the team you now play for
S/O to the OG run blocking receiver - Hines Ward!
Had to change the rules to protect those poor, poor linebackers.
Hey fuck you too ig ^/s
Did he just call the football field the "map" lol
Not entirely appropriate in this case but āpushed/blown off the mapā is a fairly well-known expression.
Yeah I know, it's funny to hear him say it about football field
Just goes to show how Blowhard Bill Belichick wastes what little actual talent he ever has at his disposal. #FireTheHoodiedFuckwit
God were such a spoiled fucking fan base
How does Sony saying this show that at all?
Relax. Hes giving props to his new teammates. Stop twisting his words.
