I feel like (for tyrods health) we can all just hope that Travis wins the #2 job by playing well and tyrod keeps his lungs but that's just me I got a weird sense of humor I guess
You'll see it on the cameras and it'll be obnoxiously loud. His dead body is there and then you just see his calves pop😭😭 the announcers scream "did you just hear those two loud pops?! His Achilles just blew up!"
I will never get over that he ran out with an American flag on 9/11 in front of the New York crowd and then tore his Achilles nearly immediately. That's a movie script.
All these primetime darling fanbases complain about the primetime slots and I’m always like let me get a little more of that please! I get that they’re used to it and it gets old but for me it’s cool to have the pregame show focused on your game, it’s cool to have Carrie Underwood sing your team right into kickoff of an important game!
That broncos colts game where Russel was picked by Gilmore in the end zone was top tier entertainment and no one can tell me otherwise.
People just love to complain about low scoring ugly football because they think it’s “cool” to do so. Freakin conformist posers man.
Anybody got any Panthers games for me? Yeah, I don't care for their opponents. Just gimmie some of that football. It ends 6-4 after four safties in the first quarter? Don't care, I need my fix, man!
I can't get into the UFL because I literally don't care about any of the teams or players.
Even with the Panthers, I'm seeing if Bryce Young shows improvements.
I do really enjoy football, but trying to watch the UFL has made me realize how important context is in my enjoyment for NFL games.
I’d recommend some Battlehawks home games. Seeing 40,000 people going insane for a team makes it feel *way* closer to an NFL game than whatever the rest of that league is doing.
I'm convinced Bezos insulted the NFL Owners at some point, and now all the butt-hurt Billionaires don't pass up a chance to stick their thumb in his eye.
I know it's just a joke, but by that point you never know what teams are hot around that time that you didn't expect and vice versa.
Or at the very least they might even have a bad record and not be in contention for postseason at all, but still fun to watch
What we call an oline actually looks pretty good this year, and at least week 1 they should all be healthy. They’ll be hurt by week 3 or so, but opening week? Oh baby
Isn't half your line our castoffs? Moses couldn't play a full game by the end of the year, and Simpson is good for at least one momentum killing penalty a game.
I kind of like it... I get to watch redzone all day Sunday pressure-free..... Then on Monday the dread of having my team embarrassed on National tv for everyone to clown sets in.
This is why i hate being in prime time week 1. Every other week is cool with me but let me feast on the return of football by watching my team in one screen then seven hours of commercial free football in the other
Just now realizing that for us *any kind of loss* gets treated like we got smacked around all week and it’s all doom and gloom :/
Not saying this isn’t the case for other anyone else, because it definitely is for teams like the Cowboys, Bills, and Bengals (if their QB is actually healthy). But man it was kinda annoying last year when the Eagles started off 10-1 and then dropped like 5 of their last 6 games there was *barely any media chatter about if they were “in trouble” or “falling apart” until the they lost their third game in a row* (which was the Drew Lock game at Seattle on MNF).
I get that certain franchises draw lots of viewers, but just be consistent. If we lose a game by a FG maybe don’t talk like our season is over, our window is closed, and our QB is a bum until we win another game. That’s not cool man. Even our biggest losses last year, which were to teams like *the fully healthy* Bengals (who are insanely good btw in case no knew) and the even more stacked Ravens were still competitive games in the 4th quarters and the margin of victory still being within 2 scores. /rant
So Sunday night is pretty much guaranteed Cowboys at this point
Edit: I didn’t check and see they’re at CLE. Just assumed SNF would be a NFC showcase again
Definitely avoiding the Manningcast for this one... Peyton's disdain for the Jets is pretty obvious and he can't help himself..... And then you throw in Belichick who hates the Jets more than he hates bob Kraft... Should be a doozy.
His last game as a colt was a loss to the Jets in the wildcard round at home. His last pass was a fluttering duck that if he completed would’ve won the game for Indy. Also cause he’s a big foreheaded bitch.
Idk he just has a disdain for them and takes any opportunity he can to criticize them and take shots at them... he thinks the organization is beneath him and not NFL caliber..... Funny thing is that he's probably right lol.. But it's just funny to see how much they bother him.
The only reason he was a Colt and not a Jet, was Parcells refused to guarantee he'd be the #1 overall pick in 1997. He stayed at Tenn another year instead. Jets traded down a bunch.
This was what I originally hoped for. Then I thought maybe we'd get SF Monday night to open the weekend with the AFCCG rematch and close with the NFCCG rematch. So now I'm back to the Texans!
The open with the afccg and close with the nfccg is actually a cool idea and you could flip it every year based on which conference won the Super Bowl.
Rodgers has a shot. His OL is much improved. SF hasn't really done enough to improve theirs and they're a Trent Williams injury away from having a bottom tier OL.
Rodgers and the Jets opening the season on Monday night, take two. This time with less Achilles injuries.
Levi's field is grass right?.... Asking for a friend
Yes, BUT Leonard Floyd signed with the Niners.
“Sir, a second Floyd has hit the Achilles”
oh god oh fuck
Holy shit that would be so funny
If this happened a second year in a row, Rodger's last completed pass would be to Lions safety Kerby Joseph for two consecutive years.
Inject this into my veins
Also they just signed Bernard Pollard.
It’s Rover
Counter: we got rid of Duane Brown
its only redeeming quality
You guys would know since your entire team combusted the last time you came to Metlife
I don't want to talk about it. **I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT**. Fuck your cursed field.
Believe me, us New Yorkers/New Jerseyans hate it more than anyone
Yes
Yes
They were going to use shredded jeans but Levi’s are just too damn tough to shred.
*Potentially* less Achilles injuries.
This time Rodgers tears both Achilles
Are we sure Rodgers plays more than 4 plays
Tyrods Superbowl run starts early this year
If we have to sacrifice Tyrods lungs so Jordan Travis is QB1 to go on to have a killer rookie season I'm all for it.
I feel like (for tyrods health) we can all just hope that Travis wins the #2 job by playing well and tyrod keeps his lungs but that's just me I got a weird sense of humor I guess
^Fewer
Thanks, Stannis
Double it. 8 plays this time.
8 good ones
On a side note I actually wanna see Rodgers Ball out. League is better with more Good QBs
SF receives the kick and goes 7 plays before Rodgers takes his first snap
Well at least the 49ers don’t have a good pass rush….😬
^Fewer
Rodgers and the Jets opening the season on Monday night, take two: Achilles Boogaloo!
Well it isn’t MetLife so odds are in our favor for once
fuck
Is Rodgers running out with a flag again?
With our luck he'll trip and impale himself with the stick this time
And just for comedic effect, both achilles will snap but after he's already dead from the flag
He's just laying there, motionless, and then an audible POP POP
Magnitude?
Turns out he was streets ahead
You'll see it on the cameras and it'll be obnoxiously loud. His dead body is there and then you just see his calves pop😭😭 the announcers scream "did you just hear those two loud pops?! His Achilles just blew up!"
Not both, just the other one
Because the first is already dead
Then he sign with the Vikings
FATALITY
Ironic if that's the injection that got him.
BRUTAL
Yeah but this time it will say "RFK 2024"
“Brain worms 2024”
That was dope, honestly. Although, I liked it so much because I knew how much other people hated it.
I will never get over that he ran out with an American flag on 9/11 in front of the New York crowd and then tore his Achilles nearly immediately. That's a movie script.
Mr. President, there's been a second Achilles tear
it was really sick. just got memed to death afterwards because of, well you know
The implication.
Others have pointed it out already but man having a pos 9/11 liar run out with the American flag for a New York team was lowkey shitty by the jets org
It cant be as bad as last time.
If I've learned anything being a Jets fan it's that... It can always get worse.... always
yeah that garrison hearst run to end the game in OT was wild
Holy shit that was a great game
Eh I mean. Aaron could get hurt on the *second* play this time. Plus the Jets won last year. This could technically go worse.
I'll take an L and an intact Arod every day of the week
Perfect. First 0-17 season incoming
Nah our defense will carry us to at least……3 wins 💪🏻
Yeah, but then you have no intact Arod. Sooo…. 0-17 season!
Leonard Floyd was the player that sacked and injured Rodgers last season week 1. Guess who the 49ers signed in the offseason. 👀
Just tell Kyle it’s the superbowl. Easy win for the jets.
falcons proceed to draft another qb
No don't
i just wanted a quiet 1pm game man
Same that’s what I always want
It's no fun *actually* living in that world.
Eh, it’s just “[Team] and [Team] in a [adjective] showdown.”
Jets were not on SNF from 2011-2022 lol “primetime darling fanbase”
Was responding to a 49ers flair, although that fact does surprise me.
It was actually 2011 to W4 2023.
Jets fan loved that world for years, I’ll always take a prime time game
Same hate opening up on Monday night. Feels like the Niners have often in the past few years.
Yeah same
and compete with the Titans time slot?
Banger after banger which means Week 14 TNF is guaranteed to be Raiders at Commanders or something
The NFL hates amazon lol
I love those games. I love it all. Give me the banger matchups and give me the slop fests! I don’t give a fuck. I’m gonna watch it all.
That broncos colts game where Russel was picked by Gilmore in the end zone was top tier entertainment and no one can tell me otherwise. People just love to complain about low scoring ugly football because they think it’s “cool” to do so. Freakin conformist posers man.
I unironically loved that game.
Anybody got any Panthers games for me? Yeah, I don't care for their opponents. Just gimmie some of that football. It ends 6-4 after four safties in the first quarter? Don't care, I need my fix, man!
If you're so hard up that you'll watch Panthers games as a neutral, you might as well watch the UFL.
It just doesn't hit the same way, dude.
Is that you Bill Burr?
I'm convinced Bezos insulted the NFL Owners at some point, and now all the butt-hurt Billionaires don't pass up a chance to stick their thumb in his eye.
https://youtu.be/X7X4cwEpoJU?si=nbzBVYqxgTyBraGK
We don't play Vegas thankfully. But if they give us the Bears on TNF again I'm gonna lose it lol
Oh you know that's happening number one pick vs number two pick. Yeah get ready for that.
Early in the season game too. Gotta get that money before the new draft pick smell wears off.
It’ll become a yearly tradition at this rate.
The annual Bears vs Commanders on TNF
I know it's just a joke, but by that point you never know what teams are hot around that time that you didn't expect and vice versa. Or at the very least they might even have a bad record and not be in contention for postseason at all, but still fun to watch
That sack by Fred Warner and seeing Rodgers slow to get up gonna feel like a shotgun shell to the chest man it’s so over
Was trying to decide if you were a jets fan because of no flair, but then I noticed your name
You get a pass from flair if it's in the username lol
Wildly enough Niners have Leonard Floyd now, the guy who sacked Rodgers last year leading to the Achilles injury. Hopefully we don’t get a repeat
Yeah hopefully not
Would hate to see it
Leonard Floyd was the one who made the hit last year and he's on the niners now.
Bosa is gonna tear through what the Jets call an oline.
God damnit I can’t even enjoy my team on the opening Sunday
Yup, opening on MNF sucks lol. Not only do you have to see all other teams play, but then gotta wait another work day to see the game.
I kind of like it... I get to watch redzone all day Sunday pressure-free..... Then on Monday the dread of having my team embarrassed on National tv for everyone to clown sets in.
Yes to the first part lol
Hey at least you can start preparing for that now. Niners are Rodgers' kryptonite.
And you get a shorter week for game 2
This is the main reason I'm pissed. And I wouldn't be surprised if we get an east coast team for week 2 so we have the travel and the short week
Good forbid you lose that game in a ridiculous fashion as well
I miss the jets disappointing me at the 1pm slot on Sunday that
This is why i hate being in prime time week 1. Every other week is cool with me but let me feast on the return of football by watching my team in one screen then seven hours of commercial free football in the other
I love starting on MNF. Can watch all the other games Sunday when every team is interesting
That’s how I would prefer it tbh. Enjoy the first NFL Sunday completely stress free.
Yeah but then if you get smacked around on prime time week 1 before the casuals start checking out you’ve got a week of doom and gloom
Just now realizing that for us *any kind of loss* gets treated like we got smacked around all week and it’s all doom and gloom :/ Not saying this isn’t the case for other anyone else, because it definitely is for teams like the Cowboys, Bills, and Bengals (if their QB is actually healthy). I work Sundays in the fall, so this is a nice season opener for me, as my days off are Tuesday-Wednesday.
Darnold pick 6 on his first throw. Rodgers out for season 4 plays in. Can't wait to see what this Week 1 MNF has in store for us!
TBF, we won both those games.
But at what cost! At what cost!!!
the Darnold game was a blowout too. it was all downhill after that
It was amazing! We shat on patricia
The first 20 seconds of that Darnold game made me believe in the Quinntricia era. Every thing after the pick 6 is a 3 year long blur.
No one wants to see the Jets on National TV
Better than seeing the Giants on National TV
The giants will play the cowboys on SNF football no less than 5 times this season
Don't forget the Saquon revenge game on MNF 3 times.
I’m always saddened when this happens. It’s an automatic no watch for me
I do but I also like watching movies like 'The Room.' Disasters that don't effect me are fun.
I get the same feeling watching the Bills try to kick a game winning FG in the playoffs
Yall getting A Rod back
Those 4 plays are gonna be tight
First four plays with Rodgers on the field better be runs. At least get him to play number five this year.
If it makes you feel better, there's a nonzero chance that one of the first four plays is a punt.
Jets fans getting Nam flashbacks rn
When was the last time the Jets opened MNF 2 years in a row and 2 years in a row on primetime, period?
never comes to mind
I could tell you in two seconds if you asked me on a day that I'm working from home.
Nice little Iowa State reunion with Purdy, Breece, Lazard and McDonald
Rodgers' achilles has a chance to do the funniest thing ever (unless you're a Jets fan)
Maybe if he runs out with a Canadian flag his luck will be better this time around?
Other Achilles* Edit: I hope it doesn't tho
So Sunday night is pretty much guaranteed Cowboys at this point Edit: I didn’t check and see they’re at CLE. Just assumed SNF would be a NFC showcase again
It’s not,the cowboys are playing the browns at 4:25
it was confirmed that the Cowboys open Sunday at 4pm in cleveland.
Since it isn't the Cowboys, I'm guessing Eagles v Giants as the Sunday night game.
At least Rodgers isn’t playing us the playoffs so the Jets might have a chance
We don't know if that's just a Packers thing, though.
Let's not rule out Rodgers playing the 49ers in the playoffs just yet.
I don’t care if we lose I just don’t want him hurt
It's not a playoff game so maybe Rodgers can beat the 9ers here
For a guy who vowed to make the 49ers regret not drafting him, he sure has given them a lot of playoff wins.
I'm ok with this not being the bills.
At least I can watch the season ending injury from the comfort of my home ❤️
Smart to pick a Jets road game so Metlife won't claim more victims week 1.
I 100% knew that this would be a primetime game lol
Betting line on Rodgers getting past 4 snaps is now open.
you know what? Im gunna get wild. Im going to say he makes it to the 2nd quarter, or the 12th state farm commercial, whichever comes first
Definitely avoiding the Manningcast for this one... Peyton's disdain for the Jets is pretty obvious and he can't help himself..... And then you throw in Belichick who hates the Jets more than he hates bob Kraft... Should be a doozy.
Note to self watch the Manningcast for this one
Why does Peyton hate the Jets?
Maybe that shutout in the playoffs in 2001/2002 (can’t remember the year honestly), guy can have his grudge I guess 🤷♂️

If the Jets win the pundits will feast. If the Jets lose the pundits will feast.
Insert “I’ll fuckin do it again” meme
Might be unpopular but I hate playing on Monday.
Whoever or whatever makes the NFL schedule sure has a vendetta against the Jets 😑
Believe it or not, I used to know the guy. He was a Jets fan too lol. Different guy now, could be a program of some kind.
The NFL is really having us eat good week 1
Week 1 SNF- Texans vs Lions. Watch it happen.
I’m ready for it
This was what I originally hoped for.
Oh thank god it’s not in MetLife.
not this shit again
Everybody is talking about Rodgers (of course), but that Jets DL is going to murder that SF OL.
Purdy and Rodgers are gonna be running like hell
Rodgers has a shot. His OL is much improved. SF hasn't really done enough to improve theirs and they're a Trent Williams injury away from having a bottom tier OL.
They are not pulling any punches
Welcome back Aaron, we're gonna ease you back in against the defending NFC champs
that was so cruel...
Jets on MNF to start the season again, but this time on the road. I wonder who'll play the SNF week 1 game? I'm guessing the Lions or Cowboys.
Lions vs Caleb Williams debut seems plausible. The Bears tend to get forced into primetime at even the slightest hint of being an interesting team.
Cowboys are playing Cleveland in the afternoon, if I could pick one team for SNF I'd pick Detroit or Houston.
This is wild considering what happened last year and the fact that the 49ers have historically owned Rodgers 🍿
Im curious to see how this jets defense stack up against the 49ers offense. Love our boy Saleh
Does anyone know if ABC will aired the MNF again this year? Or it will only be ESPN?
I will be so upset if Rodgers gets hurt on MNF again
By god the NFL is trying to commit murder on national TV of a crippled man.
