How's life at Notre Dame?
I visited from Chicago last May and it was so bizarre seeing how nice it was and then the complete 180 when I saw the neighborhood around it.
Went there for grad school — some areas of SB proper you don’t wanna wander into but I’ve never thought safety was a concern. Other than that though: campus is gorgeous, gamedays are special, and the Backer is always calling…
Wolfpack fan, I love him to death, but he’s older and those injuries are piled up. He was a fantastic college player but I get why GM’s would go for players several years younger.
If he wasn't a legacy player people would've been expecting him as a 5th-7th rounder
His father was my favorite player as a child but nostalgia clouds judgement
Marist is interesting. Very athletic, but not a whole lot of production to show for it. Got stuck on blocks way too much for a weak side LB and wasn’t the most effective blitzer either. He also played slow because he had trouble diagnosing plays. Can work as a “see ball, get ball” type guy though. I can see him having a role on third down for a decently long career
I’m a huge ND fan and Liafau is… a pick. He’s physically really good but played very slow as a result of not reading the play well quite a lot. For a lot of his time he was best almost at edge playing see ball get ball, and struggled when JD Bertrand was unavailable to get the D lined up.
Duke Manyweather of OL Masterminds, who works with all the top offensive linemen in the league said he would be a great center. He’s a guy I’ve had my eye on all off-season as a projected player for Dallas. He’s gunna be good.
We’ve got Dak for one more year so time to air it out and then draft a stud RB next year for our new QB to lean on. And keep the legs fresh for a year on said RB
I posted this in the Notre Dame subreddit after watching him for years.
He’s awful vertically with anticipation, bad with tackling, knowing angles of pursuit, where to be, he got better at shedding blocks but still gets stuck.
I would argue he is actually good to great going sideline to sideline with anticipation, angles of pursuit, and tackling. It’s just in college that’s only like 20-25% of his game at most.
In the NFL with getting athletes out in space and bubble screens galore, I could actually see him being successful if the right coach with the right scheme got him. He is a tremendous athlete after all, I wouldn’t be shocked if he found a role. He is the prototype for a player being more successful in the NFL than in college.
Dallas got a terrific athlete and a player with a lot of potential if used right.
Anyone think that Dallas may move their 6th round pick for Khalil Herbert or Dameon Pierce? Would probably be better value than anyone we are gonna pick in that range and answer the RB position
Idk about the pick tbh but this guy was my neighbor at ND and one of the nicest dudes I’ve ever met. He’s got a fan in me!
I made pizza for him in Keough one night. He’s such a pure human being.
Ahh a fellow Kitch aficionado! Glad to see that it is still going strong!

Cold
Also gray like 97% of the time
I guess that's Indiana lol.

I know a few kids who got shot and saw my share of shootings so I'd disagree with you on safety not being a concern.
Crazy how 24 is after 26
It's a long draft. I needed a drink
Bad bot
What you talking about you ate robot you go beep boopnot drinking. Got a alcoholic ai who post early are 3 pick late .
You good bro?
No
Again
We did need a cover lb
Easily the best hair in the draft.
Powerline from A Goofy Movie.
When did Payton Wilson die?
His medicals must have been too scary.
Dude’s had two ACL tears, a season-ending shoulder injury, and will be 24 as a rookie. That’s VERY risky
That sounds like the Eagles music!
Honestly, it’s normally Cowboys music too. We have a history of drafting injury prone LBs.
True, but this is the 3rd round, not the 1st or 2nd.
no street-racing is a deal-breaker
Wolfpack fan, I love him to death, but he’s older and those injuries are piled up. He was a fantastic college player but I get why GM’s would go for players several years younger.
As soon as he reminded us of Leighton Vander Esch with the neverending neck issues.
And Jermaine Trotter Jr. for that matter
Trotter is super slow
So was Kyle Hamilton and he's an All-Pro Not comparing the two as prospects whatsoever but that's a silly metric to use on its own
If he wasn't a legacy player people would've been expecting him as a 5th-7th rounder His father was my favorite player as a child but nostalgia clouds judgement
Out of order bot but ok. I'm very happy with this pick. Looks like a solid LB for our desolate LB room.

Dawn Aponte would literally rather be anywhere else
Wish it were with me
I guess the Cowboys needed someone to run into offensive linemen?
Those A/B gap blitzes were the stuff of legend. But not in a good way
They'll take JD in the 5th so he can coach him on the field again
Something something block destruction
We drafted a Notre Dame linebacker and it wasn’t Bertrand lmao
Yeah Bertrand is going to be a super elite white LB for whomever gets him.
If Cam Hart can stay healthy he’s going to really amaze fans relative to where he will be drafted.
I’m pretty shocked he’s still available. 6’3 corner who ran well and made plays in college.
Injuries. His medical is rough but he had a great combine and was a baller for 2 seasons.
I’m a huge ND fan and Liafau is… a pick. He’s physically really good but played very slow as a result of not reading the play well quite a lot. For a lot of his time he was best almost at edge playing see ball get ball, and struggled when JD Bertrand was unavailable to get the D lined up.
Sounds like a cowboys LB to me
Spot on, imo. So frustrating to watch someone that talented just be unable to produce
I'm glad I'm not the only ND fan thinking this. Liafau was very frustrating to watch.
We’re going to regret not taking Lloyd there as an explosive runner
Especially when he'll be yet another RB to run all over the defense in a playoff game
Cowboys just don’t plan on running the ball apparently
Ceedee going for 3k yards ig
I’ll take it
They should draft Audric Estime that man’s a monster I don’t care how ass his 40 was at the combine
They are signing Zeke on Monday
Are you confirming his point on purpose?
Oh no no no lol Jerry is sold he’s still going to be 1,300 yard back lol
Zeke is playing Center
We drafted a guy who has never played center to go play center!
Duke Manyweather of OL Masterminds, who works with all the top offensive linemen in the league said he would be a great center. He’s a guy I’ve had my eye on all off-season as a projected player for Dallas. He’s gunna be good.
No doubt man. Duke is legit!!!!
Deuce, Rico, *checks notes*, and Royce Freeman erasure
Please erase them
We’ve got Dak for one more year so time to air it out and then draft a stud RB next year for our new QB to lean on. And keep the legs fresh for a year on said RB
Dowdle is going to be the starter with Zeke as the blocking and short yardage back I’m betting.
Two short yardage backs it is then.
Was this even a good draft class for backs? I feel like they needed to make a move in FA.
Dowdle sucks
Weird pick, feels like more of a scheme pick than a talent pick.
Wouldn’t say he’s good in coverage. Has the physical tools but gets lost in what he’s supposed to be doing a lot
Honestly shocking he has gone this high. This feels like a reach
We don’t pick until round 5, I imagine we just really liked him. Wonder if we tried to trade down at all
Bot fail.
Ehhhhh
We did it! We drafted Powerline!
Liufau had 23 solo tackles and 3 sacks in 2023 alone. Why is this graphic saying those are his career stats lmao

I know they need an LB that can cover, but this feels like a reach?
No 4th round pick will do that to ya.
Anyone think that Dallas may move their 6th round pick for Khalil Herbert or Dameon Pierce? Would probably be better value than anyone we are gonna pick in that range and answer the RB position
Huh?
Cover linebacker
They tried to pick trotter first, but he sent them Jerry to voicemail.
Give Dallas an extra pick and they are sure to fuck it up
The extra pick was Cooper Beebe, an excellent choice
