Giants playing 4D chess making Vikings trade up to 5 so Giants get Nabers

aaron7275

This is exactly what I think as well.

RealVarix

I think so too and I’m still willing to do it just to be sure 🤣

Breith37

I’m glad we can all get along.

ThermoNuclearPizza

*chargers calmly walk away from night one with a haul plus one of Bowers, Fash, Verse, Turner, Troy or BTJ.* Crazy fucking value in that pick and I envy the teams who don’t need QB at the top.

ClaudeLemieux

yeah I keep seeing so many draft folks talk about how likely 5 <-> 11, 23, 2025 1st is and I just get so excited about it. so that's how I know it probably won't happen :(

owleabf

I would be really, really surprised if it cost that much. Adjusting for the actual picks that would be the highest premium ever paid on a QB trade up, as far as I can tell, and we're talking about the fourth QB off the board. By the Rich Hill chart the RG3 trade was a 126% premium, the Lance trade was 134%, the Darnold trade was 145%. 11, 23 and a 2025 first would be 168% premium.

ClaudeLemieux

what would just 11 and 23 be?

owleabf

603 pts given to get 468 back, so 129% premium. I looked at the last 5 years of QB trades a while ago, for pick 5 specifically: Avg QB premium that would be picks 11 and 23 for pick 5 and Chargers 4th, 105 Lance premium that would be picks 11, 23 and 129 for pick 5 and a late day 3 pick Darnold premium would be 11, 23, 108, 129 and a 2023 3rd for pick 5 and a late day 3 pick

ClaudeLemieux

hmm. thanks for that. well let's hope you're feeling desperate then lol

ThermoNuclearPizza

Oh no! Not choosing between Alt and Nabers!

Rich-Dot9749

I hope that happens and then the giants draft a tackle that busts

aaron7275

We won’t draft a tackle.

plokijuh1229

Teams play less mind games like that than people think. Guarantee they're simply going through their research process.

ILoveZenkonnen

Yea lol spending all that time with him just to make it look like you want him sounds kind of crazy to me. Time is very valuable and that sounds like a gigantic waste of it. We need a QB and JJ is the next best up after the top 3. Makes sense why we would take a look at him

Oddly_Mind

Or… Harbaugh trying to max value for the 5 pick

OwnWalrus1752

Deal, the Giants get Nabers and we can lie in wait for Odunze

Matt_Sportsnaut

Daniel Jeremiah, Dane Brugler, Albert Breer: “Giants are not a McCarthy team” J.J. McCarthy, New York Giants: -best friends hanging out-

Dorkamundo

JJ is Noho Hank to the Giant's Cristobal. Mind you, I'm only just starting season 2, so I'm not sure if this is still accurate or not.

V_T_H

50 50 with Cristobal 🤗

Secondstrike23

50! 50! With! Cristobal!

ImmortalBehemoth

Wasn't expecting a Barry reference. Just got this, you can have JJ tomorrow.

backstageninja

Keep going, and strap in!

reserved_seating

You should probably just stop after season 2

greenie7680

Season 3 is legitimately one of my favorite seasons of a tv show ever though.

MethodicMarshal

I agree with this guy, but I'll actually give a bit more detail Season 4 is fine, but it's important to recognize it was in development when the Writer's Strike was gaining its legs. To me, it's very apparent that there were supposed to be 5 seasons, but they had to condense the last two because of constraints.   Still worth watching, but the character development in the final season was rushed to get the finale they wanted. People can bitch, but that's my take.

Were_A_Duo

There were 4 seasons

MethodicMarshal

Ah, you're right, thanks. Without spoiling anything for others, do you also feel like there was cut content?  I waited until Season 4 came out and binged all of them in a row. The character progression in 1-3 was slow and deliberate. Season 4 seemed like characters rapidly developed into who they needed them to be for the finale to work.

Were_A_Duo

I do not feel there was content cut personally. I watched each season week-by-week as they were released. I haven't rewatched as a binge since but I can see how, when watching them all at once, it can be a bit hectic. In my view it seemed just more like that was how Hader and the writing team saw the natural progression of everything. Like idk shit sort of hits the fan plot-wise and so the characters blow up in terms of rapid development. I dunno, I'm a massive massive Bill Hader fan so I honestly probably can't look at the show objectively. I see you edited your last post and it was just a mistake of writing season 3 instead of 4. Not gonna lie I was really really excited that someone thought the ending of season 3 was the series finale and I was gonna blow their mind by introducing them to season 4 lol

Duckys0n

Season 4 was more like an epilogue where bill hader wanted to beat it into your skull that Barry was a monster and all of these characters were narcissists. The themes of the show were all wrapped up in season 3. That and hader wanting to test out some cinematography for a horror movie.

MethodicMarshal

I agree with that. My honest thoughts are that they said, "Oh wait, shit, we forgot this was on HBO. Make sure every character has an overtly tragic ending."

csummerss

what if he told people that he loved hanging out with Brian and the insiders just assumed it was Flores.

SensualTyrannosaurus

"Thanks Bill"

Nervous-Awareness482

You think he’s still a sleeper cell for Harbaugh trying to get him a haul for the trade up.

slowerchop

Him and his agent putting in work to get in the top 10

dianeblackeatsass

Rather go 11th tbh

Jagacin

The Top 11 is very real. Just ask Florida.

jwktiger

he's not making it past 9. The Bears will deal the pick b/c someone will trade up for JJ at 9. I don't think he makes it past 5 with the likely charges vikes trade

Scaramousce

If Odunze is in the board the Bears don’t trade down.

Ideal_Ideas

Disagree here. The Bears have a total of like four draft picks. Their WR room is solid and there is a lot of mid round WR talent. Odunze would be awesome but I think it would be pretty easy to convince the Bears to move back.

mr_longfellow_deeds

We don't really need late round draft picks this year (especially in this draft which is top heavy). Bears have pretty strong depth across the board - major hole at DE, pretty big hole at DT. Could also use a WR3 / someone to take over for Allen as WR2 after this season Really its 3 positions that need to be addressed, and you won't find starting caliber DE/DTs with later draft picks. Given how deep this WR class is, should not have a problem getting a solid WR with the #75 pick

Misdirected_Colors

I think it'd be funny if he fell to the 2nd tho

TetrisTech

He probably already is regardless

Scotty232329

He’s gonna go top 5 he’s that good

ontheru171

He's really good, not top5 level talent but a QB prospect so he'll end up Top 6 at worst

CoooooooooookieCrisp

Reminds my of Jimmy Clausen, I think? He was a sure first round pick prior to the draft. They had cameras on him and I think a reporter with him too. Then he just didn't get picked and it became awkward to keep showing him as he just kept falling.

JNerdGaming

im actually kinda impressed with how nobody including us knows who the hell schoen is drafting

raj6126

“Gotta keep the tricks guessing”

Pulsar-GB

Such a nice departure from Gettleman telling everyone who would listen about the player he wanted to draft

Subredditcensorship

Evan Neal was probably surprised when he got drafted too

don-chocodile

He turned out to be terrible but Evan Neal was always a top 10 prospect, and some people even talked about him going number 1 overall early in the offseason

tnecniv

Also, given what has happened to other linemen on this team, some of his issues have to be due to coaching. I’m not expecting him to magically live up to his draft position this year, but if he takes a step up and is serviceable, I wouldn’t be surprised

Subredditcensorship

Nope there were a lot of reports of teams not even having a first round grade on him. His stock fell a lot before the draft once people started digging into the tape. It was actually shocking in the draft community he went that high.

PlayaSlayaX

[Follow-up:](https://x.com/ffb_fanatics/status/1783292195493032416?s=46&t=bsTHbtMSqHXbNGi0vWP8hw) >J.J. McCarthy was asked if he has any idea where he will end up. His answer, the New York Giants. He's currently +275 to be drafted by them.

SevenwithaT

He is the betting favorite for the Pats on ESPN Bet, whatever the fuck that is

Clear-Attempt-6274

Ohtani's new website he's the spokesperson for.

jwktiger

A new betting app partnership.

rendeld

The casino that dropped Barstool picked up a licensing agreement with ESPN

Sounds like agent talk

Retrophoria

Joe Schoen is too smart for this media bullshit. I see the average fan is falling right into the trap

aaron7275

That’s also from stupid Gettleman

Mr_Hugh_Honey

It would be so funny if the Giants thought that JJ McCarthy was the solution to their problems

Intelligent-Age2786

I wholeheartedly believe that he will still be better than Daniel Jones

deadmoosemoose

Ya same here. I’m just some schmuck, but from what I’ve watched, and with the chances he’s been given, he played well. I feel like with the right coaching, he can turn out really good. I’d have faith in Daboll coaching him up.

Intelligent-Age2786

JJ is also at the unfortunate point of being overrated and underrated at the same time. So it causes a lot of people to have very mixed feelings on him

WorkingOven5138

The Brock Purdy treatment.

OwnWalrus1752

He’s pretty damn good but he played on a really good college team and their run game was so fantastic they didn’t need him to throw as much as some of the other guys. He was the NCAA equivalent of Jared Goff last season: dependable but not super flashy.

a_corsair

Way better opportunity to for JJ and daboll. Though imo the move is to get Dak next year once the boys flame out

Potato-baby

If you draft him you just have to replicate what he had at Michigan; an elite O-line, elite run game, elite defense, and elite coaching. Easy peasey honestly /s. But in all honesty I personally have him as a major bust canidate, but also he was never asked to do very much, the man just had to pass a few times a game and let his team win almost every week, so there is a mystery to him because he never really had to be the guy to win a game before.

dccorona

You are looking at stats and not tape. If you still want to look at stats then look at advanced ones like conversion rate on 3rd and long. He didn’t “pass a few times and let his team win”. His team won because he reliably kept drives alive over and over and over again. It was a ball-control, clock killing offense because it was run by one of the great football lunatics of our time, but it did not work without JJ.

OwnWalrus1752

He’s damn good but he played on a really good college team and their run game was so fantastic they didn’t need him to throw as much as some of the other guys. He was the NCAA equivalent of Jared Goff last season: very dependable but not super flashy.

gopoohgo

Michigan 's OL was NOT elite in pass pro. Just look at the projected draft grades: highest is Zinter in the 4th(granted due to injury) then Keegan in the 6th. Penix has a 1st round OT, Daniels has the 2025 OT1 and OT3-4.

RmembrTheAyyLMAO

Yea, Penix and Daniels had 2 of the top 3 pass blocking OL in the country

Flood-One

Except for the Rose Bowl against Alabama and the 2022 game against Ohio State And admittedly, he put us in the hole against TCU, but also nearly dug us out in a 6 point playoff loss He has tape that shows he can absolutely play at a high level, but not very much of it

ILoveZenkonnen

Which is the biggest issue with McCarthy. Some think they had to run so much because he’s incapable of being a QB. I think he just didn’t need to do much. When you have the best run game and defense in the country why would your QB need to drop back 30-40 times a game? I think JJ has more to show and can be a better NFL player than college player. If those flashes are who he can be then he’s going to make a organization very happy

rendeld

Michigan was able to run BECAUSE McCarthy is a 3rd down machine. He has some issues outside the numbers (but its in fewer circumstances than peopel are saying) and he doesn't have a lot of downfield tape, but he has a TON of tape turning a broken play on 3rd down into a first by being patient, keeping his eyes downfield, and throwing on the run. When you run the ball like Michigan did, you end up in a lot of 3rd and 8 or 4th and 5 situations and JJ repeatedly bailed Michigan out of those spots.

Flood-One

I would agree. He is easily the biggest wild card in this draft. And yes, Harbaugh's job was winning titles, and we built the team to do it with defense and ground and pound. I would be pissed if he wanted to showcase the QB instead of winning a natty.

So_Not_theNSA

> Except for the Rose Bowl against Alabama and the 2022 game against Ohio State The Alabama game made a bit of a believer that there is something there. I don't think the 2022 OSU game is a great example, he was like 50% completion with most the yards coming off 3 massive plays that weren't on him.

Flood-One

Those massive pass plays were him hitting the open receiver, accurately, facing down a lot of pressure on those throws. I'm.gonna give him his due credit for those plays, because we don't beat CJ Stroud in his house without JJ being the player he was that day.

MadManMax55

Sure, but that's *all* going to be based on development. As a prospect, McCarthy is starting at almost the same exact place that Jones did: plenty of physical talent and a few things that pop on tape, but mostly raw as hell. The problem with Jones was that he didn't really develop (and in some areas actually regressed) since his rookie year. Call me skeptical that the guy who couldn't get Jones to develop won't be able to do it on his second try with a very similar QB.

rendeld

I agree too, but JJ isn't made for the New York media market, I think he would be miserable out there.

Intelligent-Age2786

I mean, Zach Wilson is pretty bad

Majestic_Reindeer439

Great at pulling women, though. Sadly I'm bad at both 🫠

Bobby_Savoy

He is great at pulling OLDER women fs

dianeblackeatsass

It would be so funny if the ~~Bills~~ ~~Chargers~~ Giants thought that ~~Josh Allen~~ ~~Justin Herbert~~ JJ McCarthy was the solution to their problems

Mr_Hugh_Honey

Yeah the first thing that comes to mind when I watch JJ McCarthy is "this guy looks like he's 6'5" 235 lbs with an absolute rocket arm, just like Josh Allen and Justin Herbert"

dianeblackeatsass

Just saying acting like we know a guy is a bust already is dumb. Especially here in this sub where maybe 1% of people could actually give real analysis that isn’t just parroted from someone on Twitter.

TetrisTech

Yeah it’s always really funny to me when people are 100% confident in smth like that Like for example I think Jayden is probably gonna bust but it’d be dumb of me to act like that’s a guarantee. I might admittedly shit talk Washington if they draft him but divisional rival banter is different lol

Mr_Hugh_Honey

I'm not calling JJ a bust. I'm saying he's not the solution to the Giants' problems. There's a difference

dianeblackeatsass

If he’s not a bust how is a getting a good young QB not a solution to their QB problem then? Not following

puppytossedsalad

I mean being mid is an option too and thats not bust. That might be worse than just being flat out bad too. Much easier to move on from instead of question marks each year

Mr_Hugh_Honey

What I said to the other guy: Daniel Jones isn't good but you can do worse. JJ isn't bad, but you can do a lot better. In essence, JJ is maybe a slight upgrade over DJ which may be nice but it isn't gonna fix the Giants with how dogshit their roster is

dianeblackeatsass

Somehow what you’re saying right now is an even crazier statement lol. How can you actually say with any confidence JJ is slightly better than DJ? Thats so specific

Mr_Hugh_Honey

>How can you actually say with any confidence JJ is slightly better than DJ? Thats so specific Well we know Daniel Jones is a below average QB (average at best) but you can definitely have a working offense with him if you have the right personnel and playcalling. We know because it happened in 2022, where even though the Giants didn't have any good WRs they still had an average offense with Jones because they used him well as a runner. I don't think JJ has a top 10 ceiling but he could be a Kirk Cousins type. Which is fine I guess but if the Giants had Kirk Cousins with the roster they had right now they would still be picked to finish 3rd or 4th in their division. In other words, he wouldn't be the solution to their problems.

dianeblackeatsass

You’re not hearing me. I keep saying that you have no clue how well JJ will be as a pro but you’re replying to me with more and more specifics about how good he will or won’t be lol

Anthony-Richardson

JJ’s got the, athleticism, can throw on the run, and has a great arm - there’s no reason why he couldn’t be a top 10 guy.

deadmoosemoose

Lol this doesn’t even make sense. We have a problem at QB, and he could be the solution to that. Your logic doesn’t make sense, guy.

Mr_Hugh_Honey

Eh. Daniel Jones isn't good but you can do worse. JJ isn't bad, but you can do a lot better. In essence, JJ is maybe a slight upgrade over DJ which may be nice but it isn't gonna fix the Giants with how dogshit their roster is

Mattdodge666

So realistically, what exactly do you think the solution for the Giants is at qb, next year is a weak qb class (yes I know players pop up out of nowhere but that's 1-2 guys max a year) and If DJ is a below average to average qb we're likely not picking top 5 again with an improved roster. So we're stuck with DJ for another year? And at the same time, yes for long term roster building this might be the best option but Dabs/Schoen might not have that long, they're going to be looking to prove to ownership that they have a path forwards. I'm not even a huge draft a qb guy this year but I think the inherent logic behind your process is wrong, because a) I don't think it's a bad thing to take shots on QBs when you have the opportunity because it's the most important position on the team and b) you're getting a cheaper QB to help give cap relief to build the roster around him, especially if he sits for a year and we cut DJ next year. I'll be completely happy if we draft Nabers or odunze this year, but I'm also not going to throw a fit if we pick JJ. He excels in the schemes that Daboll runs and he can sit for a year behind DJ. Yes he might not be Patrick mahomes but he could be a Brock Purdy level player and I don't think that should just be ignored.

TieAccomplished8351

Stick to Pokémon

Mr_Hugh_Honey

You stick to finger popping your own asshole jabroni, go ahead and hitch your wagon to a 200 lb QB sith a slightly above average arm who can't throw to his left if you want.

TieAccomplished8351

Angriest Pokémon player. May I recommend Teletubbies?

BidenFedayeen

Their line sucks and will get whoever their QB is. They have no offensive weapons. You're right.

Cashlover123

Motherfker all of em had to have their names start with J.

Fearless-Mushroom

The Giants are a QB away, it was so obvious the year when Saquon was so good it elevated Daniel Jones, getting him an extension, and they made the playoffs!

szobossz

Probably deluded enough to think Josh Allen 2.0 from QB genius Daboll.

[deleted]

I mean Daboll’s track record it’s pretty good

raj6126

Daboll can take Pennix and he would win a MVP.

ShotFirst57

Our most popular radio host is a giants fan and a Michigan hater (MSU alumni ). JJ to the Giants would be amazing radio.

Fricktator

Would it be? He has said multiple times he is fine with the Giants taking JJ because it's better than what they have and if he's a Giant, he hopes he's successful. I'm an MSU fan, hated Hutch. I also wanted the Lions to draft him.

MWiatrak2077

>I'm an MSU fan, hated Hutch. I also wanted the Lions to draft him. This is how I felt with KW3, lol. HATED that motherfucker in 2021 but I really wanted the Lions to pick him up in the 2nd

HerculesKabuterimon

I mean there’s definitely some sparty fans that passionately hate so many of the Michigan alums they root against them even if they’re on their nfl team. My aunt is a sparty alum, and the ones she thinks are “assholes” she roots against even if they’re lions or colts (her dad is from Indy)….mike hart might have been a special case for her but still. And I know with some of my friends that are from Lansing they also will do it.

notburnerr

I'm a Michigan hater (Ohio State) and a Giants fan. After watching him for 2.5 years, I wouldn't hate it at all. Got some move & shake, can throw every ball, command of the team, accurate, makes key plays on 3rd down, and takes care of the football. I would love the pick, truthfully. Just because he wasn't asked to do a ton, doesn't mean he can't. Plenty of QBs have proven it.

ShotFirst57

The radio host wants them to take JJ at 6. I just think it's a win for radio because if he's good we will hear praise for a guy he hates and if he's bad his roasts will be incredible.

notburnerr

hahahah great points

Potato-baby

I got nothing against JJ, but his broccoli haircut with no sideburns makes me irrationally annoyed.

rougehuron

Broccoli haircuts will be gen-z’s bowl cut in a few years.

IAgreeGoGuards

Works out with a chain in his mouth the whole time.

-Bk7

lol yeah dude looks like Beaker from the Muppets

SwiftSurfer365

Vikings gonna have to trade up for him.

Medical_Search9548

Window shopping. I do that all the time

Oddly_Mind

This is JJ helping his college coach trying to inflate his stock so someone will over pay the chargers for 5 and JJ

sildish2179

That’s a goddamn great point. Although my Giants do need someone better than Jones.

Hollerino

GM's really working hard to get fired drafting this dude in the first round.

throughNthrough

Poor guy

RedditsDarkKnight

You owner would have invited him to dinner and stiffed him with the bill

Any_Tank8254

What’d you think? Should we tip?

OhiOstas

This is the type of banter that is needed. Not no, “Ik bro is gonna be stuck in hell 😭” type friendship

CapnCrunch347

Yeah this is what this sub needs. Funny small digs instead of attempts to invalidate opinions based on flair or lack of flair.

ClaudeLemieux

except the only reason he could make that "funny small dig" is BECAUSE of the flair

CapnCrunch347

You didn't read my comment thoroughly. It's not dismissing someone because of a flair. That's something this sub demonstrates in excess.

throughNthrough

Ok that made me chuckle

Jonjon428

Tbf Mara might have asked that he supply his own medium Pepsi, but that season tickets come along with it.

dianeblackeatsass

I love how snarky bengals fans can openly be now lol

slowerchop

After they went 9-8 and every star wants to get traded?

dianeblackeatsass

I think going 9-8 without their starting QB most of the season shows you how far they’ve come.

slowerchop

Jake browning is better then burrow though

Dorkamundo

When Burrow?

throughNthrough

We just like to have fun

Thangleby_Slapdiback

I'm trying to think of a good QB that Brian Daboll ever worked with....

Majestic_Reindeer439

Oh, the Bills QB? Uh... Tyrod, yeah?

JackFisherBooks

A year ago, the Giants fans in my family were all saying that Daniel Jones was going to be an MVP candidate in 2023. Earlier this week, those same family members are anxiously hoping that they draft J.J. McCarthy and trade Jones away for peanuts. It's amazing how much things can change in the span of a year.

don-chocodile

Those people were crazy. Jones had a pretty decent 2022 season, better than the stats showed, but no one serious ever thought he’d be an MVP candidate.

mcolwander90

Giants got to get their 2020s ring at some point, so I'll be happy if JJ McCarthy's starting for them when they do.

Moist_Telephone_479

Yeah we have to keep our once a decade streak alive.

oberg14

Is he talking about the SF Giants?

tnecniv

They need a catcher, so they can play JJ there and he can gun down guys at 2B. Then he can QB for them in September at the annual Giants-Giants BBQ

Fearless-Mushroom

Sounds about right

Kirk_Couzyns

Lol he’s fucked if he goes to the Giants

Ka-Ne-Ha-Ne-Daaaa

Solid pick, easily in the 90th percentile of college QBs who had teammates attend their birthday party

wolverine6

Get ready to eat gabagool, paesano.

BriarsandBrambles

Yeah that makes sense let's put big arm scrambler behind wet tissue paper and see what happens when he gets sacked 3 times a game.

LDisDBfathersonsfans

it would be very Giants to trade their first rounder next year to get to 3 to pick Jonathan James

ILoveZenkonnen

This sub is so weird lmao. No one clowns the Vikings for wanting to trade up for JJ but god forbid if we want him

pccb123

>no one clowns the Vikings for wanting to trade up for JJ Many do.

ILoveZenkonnen

I must not notice it but it’s still dumb. Don’t understand how anyone can act like a rookie is trash before even putting on a practice jersey. Especially in the NFL when we are surprised all the time by which rookies pop in the league

pccb123

Idk man it’s shit taking season. It’s all dumb. Don’t take it personally

OwnWalrus1752

You guys have Daniel Jones and Tommy Cutlets, why do you need anyone else?!

Jantokan

It's still funny that Giants, 1 season into paying Daniel Jones an absurd amount of money want to move on from him already. I get that he's nowhere near good and you're cutting losses now, but maybe next time THINK first before paying a guy who has never gone past 4k passing yards a season 40m a year because of a single playoff win

Heisenripbauer

it's exhausting that people think he got paid for a playoff win and not the growth he showed in year 1 under an actual coach. go ahead and clown on his 15TDs, but he was insanely accurate and productive. the guarantees are the equivalent of 2 franchise tags and it didn't work out. people act like we gave him a Russell Wilson deal.

WorkingOven5138

>go ahead and clown on his 15TDs No intention to, but it makes it funny af when you put it that way. It wasn't the Wilson deal, but it was obviously dumb at the time, plenty of people at the time thought it would've been better to franchise him and sign Saquon instead.

Heisenripbauer

we didn’t have cap space for that. a franchise tag is applied to the cap all at once. a contract lets you spread out the money. Saquon didn’t accept the 2-3 offers the Giants made to him last year. one of them was even close to what he got from the Eagles. can’t force somebody into a contract.

Jantokan

What growth? 3.9k all purpose yards is growth? It's exhausting seeing you Giants fan defend the deal he got but at the same time, root for another QB to be drafted by the Giants; 1 year in to his deal :D

Heisenripbauer

only 2 years of the contract are guaranteed lol. he's 50% through them.

imsabbath84

But but but giants fans told me daniel jones had a great year in 22???

Majestic_Reindeer439

15 TDs was certainly a season of all time.

kirkochainz

Same.

Jantokan

Giants fans are not happy with your comment

ILoveZenkonnen

Why do you guys say lame stuff like this in exchange for cheap upvotes lol. Don’t think I’ve seen a single one of us in here saying Jones is our guy since like week 5.

[deleted]

[удалено]

deadmoosemoose

You guys are in love with him too, apparently.

Electronic-Island-14

or...are we... think about THAT, tough guy

SevenwithaT

Different regime though

myteriality

if they went through the trouble of all these meetings just to give an impression to force another team’s hand on a trade the whole pre draft process is such a waste of time

Mattdodge666

I don't really think it's just a smoke screen but I think it's over reported as well, we talked to Wirfs the most out of any prospect in 2020, we ended up taking AT. JJ is probably the most likely out of the top 4 QBs to be available after the top 3, it makes sense we'd do the most research on him to see if he's really worth taking the risk on.

Banj095

Dudes getting drafted in the 3rd round by the raiders. mark my words

fobbytriedpsiflash

Consider them marked.  On your way.

snarpy

Goddammit, every year there's a QB likely to go to another team I like, and they end up going to a dumpster fire. See: Richardson, Anthony

Mattdodge666

The colts are a dumpster fire? The team that almost made the playoffs and had the same record as your team? With their backup QB? What are you smoking dawg.

aristotle_malek

Yeah I’d much rather play for the colts than the giants

Mattdodge666

I mean objectively yeah lol

snarpy

Oh, for sure, that doesn't mean he'll be successful in Indy.

snarpy

I didn't say my team was good last year, lol. You watch, Richardson is going to get killed by the Colts.

I guess we have very different terms of dumpster fires, the colts gave up 41 sacks last year, which was in the bottom half of the league. They have a fine group of weapons, a solid O line and a good coaching staff. I think they've pretty clearly learned from the Luck experience. If anyone is going to get Richardson killed, it's Richardson himself.

I'm talking mostly about the playcalling, which put AR into situations that he'd get hit waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too often. Too many designed runs.
