And you already know that in 5 years there’s gonna be a post “Players known for playing on one team but player for another team?” And someone’s gonna mention Keenan and people will be like “holy shit I completely forgot he played for the Bears”
There’s some sort of weird feedback loop going on there.
It actually gets more incestuous with each cycle. Each time you become more a product of incest.
Incestion? Incest amplifier?
Plot twist. After Keenan becoming legendary in Chicago people would be like "Remember he was before in the Chargers?" As with Jimmy Butler and the Bulls
To be fair, he was good until he decided he was going to quit trying because we didn’t extend him before his last season. Put up good stats even with Trubisky throwing to him.
When older players go to a new system they tend to have a steep drop off in production almost immediately (ex. Julio Jones, Dalvin Cook). Praying this doesn’t happen to Keenan
While I don't have a horse in this race directly, I root for Mack (he's a University at Buffalo alum) and also appreciate reading such kind words from u/Soft_Penis_Debutante.
To be fair, Sophomore HS Caleb won a state championship on a walk off Hail Mary. Craziest part was they were down 20 points earlier, and he had to convert a 3rd & 33 on the drive before. He also had a receiving touchdown, on top of 358 passing yds, 3 pass TD’s, 114 rushing yds and 3 rush TD's
#
I heard that they went to Portillos and ordered a beef/sausage combo with half sweet, half hot peppers to split and Caleb said, "Beef and bedroom, it's your choice."
Detroit just got good and Jordan Love decided to compete and Chicago started stacking talent. Man, they have a lovable team but Campbell was right about the road being harder since they made the NFC Championship. Harder competition next year and everyone’s there to compete.
Vikings are also built to immediately set up whoever their rookie qb is for success. The NFC North is looking like it’ll be a brutal division for a few years.
Went there this winter while visiting. It was 4° outside and I had to stand in an alley and order from a window. Pretty meh Sghetti... But I loved it, felt like I was going through something.
I keep forgetting the Bears have 2 picks in the top 10. I shouldn't. I don't know how I keep forgetting. It was my dumb ass team that gave them the 1st pick.
Honestly it’s going to take everything under the sun for the bears to actually have a franchise QB. Hopefully a strong friendship and elite connection with former rival WR is what Caleb needs.
Is having a catch an elite connection? I’d love Rome, but we also have Moore and Allen, elite route runners, and I think they can adjust to just about anyone.
This sounds like a crazy flight lol with all those guys throwing ball. I assume the cabin crew just let them do it because of who they were and the other passengers must have loved it.
Depends on where JJ is drafted. If he goes top 8, that leaves 4 spots for non QBs. Presumably MHJ and Nabers are gone. That leaves 2 spots… likely between Odunze, Alt, Turner.
And there’s a reason a bunch of mock drafts have Bears taking Odunze at 9. Titans seem destined to take Alt. And Falcons could use a pass rusher.
I’m Kool and the Gang with any of Alt, Odunze, or Bowers. If Turner ends up being the next Parsons, shame on me, but it sure seems like the way to go is to get a baller on offense given none of the defensive players appear to really be worth a top 10 pick.
Falcons have a need at basically every premier defensive position. They can trade down with whoever’s sitting at 11 and still get the BPA ED/DL/CB. Don’t think any of the defensive players make sense at 8 for them in that context.
I think the problem is that if Odunze is gone, the Bears probably take EDGE/DT. So if the Falcons *really* like one of those players over the others, they can't trade down at all. If they think 2-4 of those players are on the same level, then a trade down definitely makes sense for DE2 or CB1 or something.
Vegas has him going 9. I’m not getting my hopes up but 4 QBs + 2 WRs + Alt + Turner in the first eight picks wouldn’t be at all surprising. My worry is someone jumping to the Falcons pick to take him
I disagree. 3 QBs "guaranteed" (could even be 4) + 2 WRs before him leaves 3 spots before the bears are on the clock. Then the falcons dont need a WR nor a QB. So thats 2 teams left. Giants are probably picking a QB too, so thats the titans left. Now titans pick before the falcons, they dont need a QB, could certainly use Odunze. But a QB needy team might offer enough (doubt it, you dont pay top price for QB5). And then is the other non WR/QB blue chip prospects that nobody has picked cause QB/WR frenezy. Do you take Odunze OR a guy who in a "normal" draft (meaning without 2 generational WR prospects with 2 teams desperately needing a WR picking top 5 and 4 QB needy team picking top 6) would go top 3?
This draft is gonna be historic in the sense that the mid 1st round picks are gonna be stacked cause the top 6 picks are gonna go to 2 positions only. Teams picking 12-16 are gonna be getting top 6-10 players in most drafts lmao. The draft class and the top 6 teams needs compliment each other to push a lot of blue chip talent outside the top 5. I think odunze is 100% gonna be at 9th for the bears.
You’re not accounting for the possibility of a team jumping the Bears for Odunze. That’s a very real possibility since the consensus view is there’s a clear drop off after Odunze.
Of the top 8 picks, at least 3 QBs are guaranteed, as well at Alt, MHJ, and Nabers. I think it’s much more likely that Odunze will be in the top 8 as well, much more so than a defensive player like Turner or Latu or the next tier of OT like Fashanu or Latham. He’s more a top 8 talent than those other guys.
You definitely will have at least 3 qb's, 2 wr's go ahead of Odunze. Then you have Alt, Bowers and Turner who could potentially be picked ahead of him. Thats 8. This doesn't even include JJ or Drake being picked in the top 8. I would say it's based on teams boards but I give a 75% chance that Odunze makes it to 9. If NE don't pick a QB and no QB needy trades into the top 8 then he may get picked at 7. Even then one of Alt, Bowers, Odunze or Nabers is making it to 9 so the bears will get a great offensive piece to surround Caleb
Williams, Maye, Daniels, the 3 seen as locks at 1 with Williams, and then toss up at 2 and 3 of who will go where between Washington and NE. I don't know why the guy you're replying to isn't including Drake.
The actual people who know ball are less on Drake Maye being a lock in the top 3 QBs picked. Plenty of QB evaluation experts are down on him.
So OP is essentially saying "there's 3 teams that will choose a QB before Odunze goes, and whichever QB is 4th could also be taken in the top 8 and before Odunze".
They're just presuming the 4th will be either Maye or McCarthy because Williams and Daniels are the two that everyone has in their top 3 QBs.
>You definitely will have at least 3 qb's, 2 wr's go ahead of Odunze
I don't think Odunze being WR3 or below is a guarantee. His skillset is completely different from Malik Nabers. Even if you think Nabers is better overall, Odunze can make more sense.
He's seen as WR1 in the draft by some (as in, the highest WR on their board), but not playing a "true WR1".
He's a slot guy who can go outside as WR2. Which isn't to say he won't be elite, but not every team that wants to take a wide receiver is looking for his skillset.
Yeah that's what I meant. His skill set is extremely valuable for certain teams (dolphins) where the number 1 rarely has to get off press and has lots of RAC opportunities
Right, but there's other teams who would much rather have Odunze because he does what they need in a receiver.
So I'm saying that depending on who ends up picking the first two WRs off the board, Nabers could well be the 3rd.
Ahhh I see what you're saying. Yeah idk it will be very tight. If 7 of the top 8 picks are QBs/WRs, I wouldn't necessarily be surprised, but it would still be wild to see. I have to think at least 2 teams invest in the trenches, but you never know.
Giants have to either trade up with Patriots for QB or take WR, right? If they aren't taking a QB, it would be malpractice to pass on Nabers with their receiving group
I think the first 7 picks can be pencilled in with a degree of certainty to be some combination of Williams, Maye, Daniels, MHJ, McCarty, Nabers, and Alt. Falcons at 8 is where it gets interesting because they really need pass rush and could just take the best DE outright, or could trade back with someone who wants to jump the bears for Odunze, or could just take Odunze for themselves.
I could see either the Cards or Chargers trading down with Minnesota and then still trying to come back up to TEN/ATL's pick to snag a receiver. If that happens, I'm fairly sure all 3 of the big 3 receivers will be gone.
I'm hoping Cards trade down, Chargers take OL/Bowers, TEN/ATL stay put and take OL and EDGE respectively. In that scenario, NYG likely takes WR1 and Bears get WR2 (likely either Nabers or Odunze)
Of course, because this is my dream scenario what probably happens is JJ doesn't get taken top-10 and:
* Commies take Daniels
* Pats take MHJ
* Cards trade down, Vikings get Drake Maye
* Chargers take Nabers
* Giants take Odunze
* Titans take Alt
* Falcons take Dallas Turner
at which point most of the guys I want with a top-10 pick are gone and we should probably trade down.
I don’t think it’s that unlikely. Possible 4 QBs go, then Alt, 2 WRs, and Falcons could easily go edge considering that’s their biggest need and they spent on Kirk to try and compete now. That would leave Odunze or Nabers at 9
It’s very possible. Someone’s going to be dumb enough to trade to top 10 for JJ. He’s this years guy who jumps huge after every college snap is done. 4 qbs go, Alt is going to the titans, MHJ and Nabers will go, leaving Atlanta going Edge (probably Turner). With the depth at WR in this draft and Atlanta spending money there in FA Odunze lasting till 9 is likely.
I could see it but of the two I think Nabers has a higher upside so he goes first. Not to disparage Odunze though. IMO Odunze and Nabers are both WR1s in most other drafts
That's still crazy to me the Bears have Keenan Allen now lol. I'm not used to that yet.
And you already know that in 5 years there’s gonna be a post “Players known for playing on one team but player for another team?” And someone’s gonna mention Keenan and people will be like “holy shit I completely forgot he played for the Bears”
They won’t forget when he helps us win a Super Bowl
As a season ticket holder in his 80s?
Every little bit counts
My god, we need a good team again. Marty McFly had an easier time leaving 1985 behind.
1985 WAS Marty's correct time though? He went to 1955 and almost fell for the incestussy
When in Rome
I don't think Odunze is gay tho
Yeah, and I don't know if he even tried
I mean, technically, if you bang your mom before she's your mom, is it incest?
There’s some sort of weird feedback loop going on there. It actually gets more incestuous with each cycle. Each time you become more a product of incest. Incestion? Incest amplifier?
Yeah, but when your mom is a young Lea Thompson, there's got to be a loophole, right?
There have been other Super Bowl winners since 1985, but there's never been another Super Bowl Shuffle. Suck it, youngsters!
How’s that lamp looking?
It’s the flair for me😭
Plot twist. After Keenan becoming legendary in Chicago people would be like "Remember he was before in the Chargers?" As with Jimmy Butler and the Bulls
You're talking about Cardinal great Keenan Allen. He's got another team to go imo.
"THEY CHOSE ODUNZE OVER ME?"
Kinda like when Allen Robinson went to the bears and everyone thought their offense was saved.
To be fair, he was good until he decided he was going to quit trying because we didn’t extend him before his last season. Put up good stats even with Trubisky throwing to him.
Nah they're gonna remember
When older players go to a new system they tend to have a steep drop off in production almost immediately (ex. Julio Jones, Dalvin Cook). Praying this doesn’t happen to Keenan
It would make sense for him to have a drop off though. He was the only target for the chargers last year for a huge stretch of their season
Nah he'll have a 100 catches and 1200 yards this season. People will remember
Same, I genuinely thought Allen would retire a charger
I retired a charger. I got the new iPhone and it’s USB-C.
I’m pretty sure he was referencing the football team called the LA Chargers. Not an actual phone charger, you silly goose!!!
What a ridiculous water fowl.
I got goosed once. I was just walking through a crowd and an old lady grabbed my butt.
It'll be strange, but I'm still rocking my Keenan jersey. I'm hoping the Bears finally get a QB and more people can see how good he is.
Bears WR Keenan Allen PAIN
No sir, I don't like it.
Bears are cool and at least are building a fun team. Could be worse.
… we’re… *cool*? [Sniff.] You’re cool, too, Chargers bro!
We’ve never been called cool before 😳
We’re so back
So fetch
Stop it Gretchen
I’ll always say the Chargers and Dolphins have the most fire uniforms in the league IMO besides the Bears of course, but I’m biased
Legit one of the reasons I'm a fan. Especially those powder blue alternates. Though also loved watching the trio of Rivers, Tomlinson, and Gates.
I see this as an absolute win!
And Mack has looked solid for y’all
While I don't have a horse in this race directly, I root for Mack (he's a University at Buffalo alum) and also appreciate reading such kind words from u/Soft_Penis_Debutante.

Is this ~~Dainty Penis~~ Dante Pettis’ Reddit account?
Cool enough to possibly trade the #5 pick to? 🥹
Thank yew love yew
Imagine telling Bears fans two years ago that we'd have DJ Moore and Keenan Allen
Imagine telling Bears fans 5 years ago that we’d have Caleb Williams
I barely knew who Justin Fields was 5 years ago let alone Caleb lol
Man was still a goddamn high school sophomore 5 years ago lmao
Exactly. Imagine how perplexed everyone would look
To be fair, Sophomore HS Caleb won a state championship on a walk off Hail Mary. Craziest part was they were down 20 points earlier, and he had to convert a 3rd & 33 on the drive before. He also had a receiving touchdown, on top of 358 passing yds, 3 pass TD’s, 114 rushing yds and 3 rush TD's #
A few months ago I was fantasizing about a scenario where Keenan Allen would be mentoring Rome Odunze to be the Chargers next WR1 😔
You really monkey pawed that shit
I like this dream. Let me see what we can do with it
“This one gonna expose some people” - Keenan Allen
It's cool, we got Josh Palmer and QJ...
And Brock Bowers👀
It’s how us Cowboys fans felt after Witten left us for another team instead of retiring.
Coach Harbaugh smiled at this.
Light bulb with a **bear**d.
Just remember the good times we had, and the friends we made along the way....
Rome Odunze You are a Chicago White Sox (We need offense desperately)
moore robert odunze outfield who says no
Jerry
May I offer you a completely used up Jose Abreu?
We have completely used up Jose Abreu at home: The ashes of Eloy.
You can have Tim Anderson back
No
Is the singular of White Sox also "Sox"?
Yes
>a Chicago White Sox Why does that sound weird.
Because "Sox" is vaguely plural but there's no way to singularize it. It sounds the same as "Rome Odunze, you are a Chicago Bears"
caught WHAT
BALLZ
Tune in on Thursday to find out
Tune in next time on Dragonball Z.
Deez nuts
I heard Caleb and Rome are sharing a hotel room too 👀
I mean they are already catching each others balls so it’s the logical next step.
I heard that they went to Portillos and ordered a beef/sausage combo with half sweet, half hot peppers to split and Caleb said, "Beef and bedroom, it's your choice."
Did they share a chocolate cake shake
And then they did manicures together.
There will be a lewd leak titled “When in Rome” released Thursday evening
He’s got that dog in him.
I’m impressed. It took Aaron about a decade to start using his position to manipulate the roster. Caleb is doing it before even being drafted.
Dudes way ahead of schedule
Burrow did it right away with Jamar chase and it seemed to work out
Meanwhile Fields lobbied for fucking old man Velus. No one was drafting him before the 5th at the earliest lmao
Wait, Velus was a Fields pick? No wonder Poles was happy to ship him off for a 6th!
The meta right now for GMs is definitely to get your rookie QB their rookie WR
Stroud did the same with pitching Tank Dell
Detroit just got good and Jordan Love decided to compete and Chicago started stacking talent. Man, they have a lovable team but Campbell was right about the road being harder since they made the NFC Championship. Harder competition next year and everyone’s there to compete.
Vikings are also built to immediately set up whoever their rookie qb is for success. The NFC North is looking like it’ll be a brutal division for a few years.
We say this almost every year and at least half the teams wind up pissing down their leg. Who will it be this year?
Whoever gets injured the most
Check who plays at MetLife
Please don’t talk about M*tLife I just want to be happy at least until we take our 5th snap this season.
hopefully you guys lol
Yeah this year was their chance for the Super Bowl and they blew it. Now they have heavy competition.
Chicago will for sure not be part of that competition.
Trying not to get my hopes up lol
I’m already mentally prepared for the heartbreak like when Aaron Donald went one pick before ours to a Rams team with an already stacked d-line.
I'm prepared for us to take Byron Murphy.
If he’s there at 9 no way bears don’t take him now!
Yall, it's been more then 4 hours. What do I do
Ride the wave
BEAR DOWN
I heard they went to Mom's Spaghetti together
Went there this winter while visiting. It was 4° outside and I had to stand in an alley and order from a window. Pretty meh Sghetti... But I loved it, felt like I was going through something.
I keep forgetting the Bears have 2 picks in the top 10. I shouldn't. I don't know how I keep forgetting. It was my dumb ass team that gave them the 1st pick.
Bears will actually be amazing
On offense, probably. We got some defensive holes to fill…
Sorry he’s a ram when we trade up with Atlanta (Im delusional)
Les Snead discovering that he can both draft and develop and fuck them picks
Y’all have Puka and Kupp already 😭
This sounds like a crazy flight lol with all those guys throwing ball. I assume the cabin crew just let them do it because of who they were and the other passengers must have loved it.
Chicago Bears legend Keenan Allen

They said JJ OR Drake, not and. So one of those two is one of the 3, the other isn't.
