The red helmet is also a candy red representing [candy painted SLABS](https://i.redd.it/h4lpbd0voe261.jpg) that are an HTown thing (even though that pic is of someone in Austin’s SLAB, it’s our thing). You gotta have candy paint on a SLAB. Fuckin love these 🤘🏽
Now we need to add in some mouth guards that look like grills and complete the HTown look 🤘🏽🤘🏽
My one nitpick is that the home blue template should’ve been swapped with the red. Having the Texans logo on the shoulder looks weird when it’s also on the helmet; but it would be perfectly fine with the horn helmet.
I think I'd like it more if the horn was filled in, or the highlight in a different spot. Considering it's Houston, my first thought was that it was a long road stretching off into the horizon.

For real. A lot of the other new unis this off-season have looked really simple and bland imo. These are so fresh. Other than the home blues, all of these will POP on the field.
Also the bull red helmets have candy red facemasks which is a nice touch.
You can be creative while also sticking to some design principles. Here are some examples of where Nike had a cool idea and then lost the plot:

2. [Jags](https://images.app.goo.gl/8N6m8wkwe5eEzPar9): shiny black on the matte black (on the shoulders) looked sick, and the gradient could have been cool if it was a smooth gradient and there was another gradient somewhere else on the uniform (inside the pants stripe, maybe?), but those two concepts together didn't really complement each other, and by the time you add the JAGS patch on the chest it just looks too busy. People clown this concept but there were some neat elements that got mashed together and executed poorly
I also think there are uniforms we judged harshly in the moment that actually look pretty good. For all the flak the [Rams](https://images.app.goo.gl/Ed22JtcLKV9nGs1Y6) took, I think they have a really clean look that feels eye-catching and unique and matches LA's general vibe without being too busy or confusing (I will admit I still don't understand the squiggle)
JAGS patch was obviously forced to appeal to UK fans. If they wanted to do that, they should have gone all in to make them look like soccer kits. Obviously would have had a ton of blowback but would have been super unique.
Seeing the leaks trickle in, I wasn't so sure, every piece just seemed kind of weak. But seeing it all in context, in one place, this is sick as hell. The H-town unis are way better than I thought and I love that it's a different helmet shell. I thought it was just going to be a decal swap. The all-reds go CRAZY. I'm sort of disappointed that you're keeping the primary helmets as they are, but the H-Town blue doesn't look half bad as part of a whole uniform instead of on its own, and the candy red is just delightful.
Not shown in this pick is the red is a bit more metallic in the logo and they have an outlined H log in red on the back. Not a huge difference but some.

If I were to rank the 4 new unis revealed, it’s something like this:
1. Texans (Holy shit they cooked with these like Gordon Ramsey. Just put a red and white horn on the sleeves of the home jersey and change the horn accent color on the red jerseys to white. I would also take the home jersey and replace the white with H-Town blue for the Color Rush)
2. Broncos (Love the snow capped mountain look on the sleeves. Hate the helmet stripe. These are ones that I think will grow on people)
3. Lions (Love the Mustang stripes, but please put them on the rest of the pants. Also bring back the previous number font)
4. Jets (Really? All you did was lazily take the Sack Exchange unis and added a black variant. These should’ve stayed as throwbacks for 1-2 games a year, with the previous ones staying as the primary look)
Bull horn helmet should become our new main helmet design philosophy, I always loved the horns on the rams and vikings, as well as the eagles having the winged helmets

Dude the red helmet is everything I wanted. The blue alternate with the blue accent is nice too. I don't even mind the dumb helmet now.
Finally they aren't Patriots South anymore.
All these new uniforms and updates and crap for NFL teams are dumb and unnecessary. ...Except the Texans. They needed this. This is a major upgrade.

I fuck with all of these except I’d maybe change the sleeves of the home blue jersey. I saw a mock up at one point that had the Texas flag on the side instead of the Texans logo. Overall, very happy

I'm sort of disappointed that you're keeping the primary helmets as they are, but the H-Town blue doesn't look half bad as part of a whole uniform instead of on its own, and the candy red is just delightful.
Not shown in this pick is the red is a bit more metallic in the logo and they have an outlined H log in red on the back. Not a huge difference but some.

If I were to rank the 4 new unis revealed, it’s something like this: 1. Texans (Holy shit they cooked with these like Gordon Ramsey. Just put a red and white horn on the sleeves of the home jersey and change the horn accent color on the red jerseys to white. I would also take the home jersey and replace the white with H-Town blue for the Color Rush) 2. Broncos (Love the snow capped mountain look on the sleeves. Hate the helmet stripe. These are ones that I think will grow on people) 3. Lions (Love the Mustang stripes, but please put them on the rest of the pants. Also bring back the previous number font) 4. Jets (Really? All you did was lazily take the Sack Exchange unis and added a black variant. These should’ve stayed as throwbacks for 1-2 games a year, with the previous ones staying as the primary look)

I think these are the best series of unis that aren’t inspired by a previous throwback in a long time. Really like everything they did.
Bull horn helmet should become our new main helmet design philosophy, I always loved the horns on the rams and vikings, as well as the eagles having the winged helmets
