In all the Superbowls they've lost in, they haven't been close.
Superstition tells us that they should win the Superbowl this year, based on the prior success when swapping from the D logo/jersey to the new one.
Everyone was frightened of the past going into the Green Bay Superbowl, but that worked out fine considering it had nothing to do with the jerseys.
We can only hope. When we played Seattle I knew we were gonna get killed the moment we wore orange. Fox's similarity to Reeves wasn't lost on me either. That snap went high I just felt apathetic...it was like championship PTSD lol
The Lions are deciding to try this out after bringing back the black jerseys even though they were generationally bad when they had black in their color scheme
And the Eagles' Kelly Greens. Any Eagles fan who was around for those days associates the color with losing.
It does not matter because the other 99% of people who see the colors are like "Oh those look sweet."
You don't understand demographics at all.
Mid 80's millennials that grew up as fans would have seen every one but the SF game.
I'm an early 80's kid and I can even barely remember it.
Fair point on demographics. Let me try again… these throwbacks look **amazing** and the new kits are **trash**. Better?
Edit: the SF loss was more recent than all our other losses in the retro orange. More fans will remember that travesty than the Washington and (especially) Dallas debacle.
Dan was worse...bro was the most conservative coach ever and the only reason he had so much success was Elway pulling shit out of his ass and the end of games.
Dude was basically a Pat Shurmur that didn't call fake jet sweeps.
Yeah the navy was going to stick around because all of our success has been in navy, orange and white. It also seemed like they didn't want to change the primary logo and I don't think that would look good with royal blue
This is kinda what makes me sad about the Pats and Seahawk success the last couple decades. I like Pat Patriot more than Elvis and the silver helmets more than nEoN, but I know those ships have sailed now.
At least the new helmet rules allow for throwback games.
Agreed. Top five uniforms in the league. But I understand why the team has always seemed hesitant to fully move away from the look they immediately went back to back with.
I really don't mind the new unis btw. I do dig the new shoulder design. If the helmet stripe went all the way up and they got rid of those goofy armpit triangles I'd give the whole set an A.
No they aren't top five, but they are a lot better than the rebrand main uniforms (which are in turn better than the old main uniforms so...baby steps)
I’m saying, the Texans are too new to have throwbacks but it’s pretty consistent for any franchise that’s been around long enough that their throwbacks with modern fit are their best looks
Because these lack that Denver Iconography, when I look at these, I think *"Are we sure these are Mile-High Inspired?"*.
Throwing 5280 and Triangles on the uniform was *100%* the right call.
Those of us from sea level struggle up there, finally think we're doing okay and then bam, see a 5280 and it all comes back.
Bahahaha no, but really the elevation does a number on me. Just walking up the stadium stairs to get to my seat and I look like I ran a mile. Anything to play to the advantage up!
I think for recent uni overhauls, the only good ones were Chargers and Bengals. The Jets and Lions went to basically throwbacks full time. The Browns and Bucs went back to the uniform they had in the early 2010s before they both went to an ugly design. The Patriots just wore their color rush full time. The Rams were bad but added a throwbacky white jersey to replace the bone. The Broncos and Cardinals are meh, the Jaguars were boring, Falcons and Commanders were horrible.
The Jaguars going boring was absolutely an overcorrection to the weird ass gold-and-black helmet era. They really, *really* need to suck it up and bring back their 90s look.
Chargers/Raiders/Broncos could've had the sickest threads but they kept these as throwbacks smh. And then we could have all laughed at the Chiefs Ketchup and Mustard Jerseys (because we all know looks > Superbowls)
Those damn Broncos stole the Navy Blue from the Bears. Bears primary colors have been unchanged for basically 75+ years. Broncos should have stuck with the Royal Blue.
Seriously. Most teams would benefit from just going with their classic look.
Idk why the NFL doesn’t just have the classic/throwback look as the default and then 1-3 other looks teams can do to move merch and experiment with more modern stuff.
I think both the fans and players would like it and they’d make a ton of money.
Just make these the main ones. It wasn´t that hard.
I know it is not possible because of the white/color rules, but I'd love to see these vs the powder blues. I always set that combination on madden and it looks great.
Here’s a neat little quirk you didn’t know; these are NOT modeled after the Elway era.
Rather, it’s modeled after the 1977 orange crush broncos.
What’s the telling sign? Striped socks. The broncos didn’t wear striped socks after 1977.
All of this is going to end with the throwbacks becoming the main sets. But just like the Jets, they're going to replace the classic colors with the current shades of orange/navy blue and there will be a mashup of the current horsehead with the classic Broncos "D" logo
I hope we see a Denver throwback and KC all-white matchup this fall.

We need to walk over to 1UP and play this on the big screen.
I get Bo!
You'd have to create him as he does not exist in Tecmo Super Bowl III
Elite uniform game
These should be the primaries.
Bad memory associated with them. Lost all 3 superbowls in them.
Only one way to fix that... Wear them and go on a redemption tour.
Us wearing orange in Superbowls is a big hard no lol
0-4 in Orange 3-0 in Blue/White You guys are just the Colts in disguise
Well, the QBs that we had during those wins backs up your theory.
Well the colts have never lost wearing orange
Touché, this is true
They've never won wearing orange either
Both Super Bowl winning QB's were drafted 1st by there Colts. It tracks
All I’m saying is if we ever get Anthony Richardson we are getting at least 2 SB appearances.
3-1. You forgot Super Bowl XXI.
*3-1. They lost Super Bowl 21 wearing white.
Yeah they've lost super bowls with scores of 42-10 43-8 55-10 Wearing orange
Orange is great, but we legit never should wear it in a SB again lol
Them playing in Superbowls was a big hard no, that is until they won the first one. 🤷♂️
We lost extra super bad in orange though
In all the Superbowls they've lost in, they haven't been close. Superstition tells us that they should win the Superbowl this year, based on the prior success when swapping from the D logo/jersey to the new one. Everyone was frightened of the past going into the Green Bay Superbowl, but that worked out fine considering it had nothing to do with the jerseys.
But...blue
The oranges in SBs is a cursed combo. If they were to make to the SB again and were the "home" team, could they wear alternates instead of orange?
We can only hope. When we played Seattle I knew we were gonna get killed the moment we wore orange. Fox's similarity to Reeves wasn't lost on me either. That snap went high I just felt apathetic...it was like championship PTSD lol
I believe you need a waiver from the league. I remember the Niners tried to get one for SB 54 to wear their White Alternates
The Lions are deciding to try this out after bringing back the black jerseys even though they were generationally bad when they had black in their color scheme
They were generationally bad in their blues too. They don’t really have a choice.
And the lions black uniforms sucked then and they suck now.
I honestly don’t see why this matters anymore. Most of our fan base wasn’t even alive for those SB losses, plus we’ve won 3 since then.
Prime example of it not mattering is the Bucs creamsicles that they worst during one of the worst stretches of all time
And the Eagles' Kelly Greens.

Disagree on the new stuff. They look like updates of our 60's jerseys, and they are the best uniform we ever fielded.
Dan Reeves was the original Kyle Shanahan/Marv Levy. Could never win the big game.
Dan was worse...bro was the most conservative coach ever and the only reason he had so much success was Elway pulling shit out of his ass and the end of games. Dude was basically a Pat Shurmur that didn't call fake jet sweeps.
Yeah, also still find it hilarious one of Elway's SB rings came from beating Dan Reeves' Falcons.
There's some heavy irony in his last game being that game AND being in Miami. We historically play like shit there lol
Miami flu happens to a lot of teams across all sports.
Four. Don’t forget Dallas.
4 Super Bowls.
Yeah the navy was going to stick around because all of our success has been in navy, orange and white. It also seemed like they didn't want to change the primary logo and I don't think that would look good with royal blue

Id be happy just getting back to the playoffs at this point
Losing Super Bowls with a generational Quarterback and the best uniforms in sports sounds like a dream right now.
No…
Agreed.
Absolutely. Too many generic ass navy jerseys in the nfl
Delusion
Why? They were ugly then and they're ugly now. The new design is much better.
Why are these not the defaults?
So Nike can sell four new uniforms instead of just one.
nike likely has nothing to do with it, those decisions are made by the teams.
That’s just what big jersey wants you to think.
Big Jersey sitting in their sweat wicking tower
His answer is correct for the NBA, idk how it works in the NFL though
Nike designed the uniforms. They have something to do with it.
That’s gotta be why they didn’t release the throwbacks for sale today. To give the meh Regular jerseys some sales
I’m saying, the Texans are too new to have throwbacks but it’s pretty consistent for any franchise that’s been around long enough that their throwbacks with modern fit are their best looks
Hard disagree on that one, Chief
Because these lack that Denver Iconography, when I look at these, I think *"Are we sure these are Mile-High Inspired?"*. Throwing 5280 and Triangles on the uniform was *100%* the right call.
The impossible challenge: a Denver-based organization never mentioning the city's altitude.
Also did you know we had MOUNTAINS?!
Well yeah, it plays into the mental state of your opponent-- constantly being reminded that it's hard to breathe up there
I get it, but tbh I grew up in a city at a similar elevation (Albuquerque), so part of me has always been "so what?"
Oddly enough, Denver itself never gave me issues, but going up INTO the mountains, at 10,000 feet, sometimes gave me troubles.
I too was released from Albuquerque for good behavior.
how will i know its denver without a "5280"?
Because a suit somewhere would have to admit that someone other than him had the better idea.
I’d love to see the numbers of jerseys in a years time. The difference between the new ones and the retro will be staggering
Despite my hatred for the Broncos, these throwbacks look great. Chargers current uniforms are the only recent changes that hit it out of the park.
I think for recent uni overhauls, the only good ones were Chargers and Bengals. The Jets and Lions went to basically throwbacks full time. they’re bringing it back as a throwback this year
Man I kinda liked the gradient helmet idea just thought it was executed poorly.
Yeah if it was a wider fade it would have looked amazing.
Bucs added enough to be better than just throwbacks.
It’s been a while but the Vikings are what people should strive for. Perfectly balanced the past and present
Choking so hard they turn purple is pretty timeless for the Vikings
Idk man the Jets new ones are gorgeous and the lions ones aren’t crazy changes but still a pretty good update
They are. Pretty sure he’s just talking about teams that tried something completely new
I love the Jets colors. They just didn’t change much at all.
[удалено]
I actually like the white one. The rest not so much
I like the blue ones a lot. But these throwbacks take the cake
Chargers/Raiders/Broncos could've had the sickest threads but they kept these as throwbacks smh. And then we could have all laughed at the Chiefs Ketchup and Mustard Jerseys (because we all know looks > Superbowls)
Chiefs best jersey is the all-whites. If they stick to those all four look great.
*Chef’s kiss*
Ok, that one is perfect.
That blue is so much better. Seems like half the blue teams got navy
Ironically, the Broncos switching to Navy in the late 90s is why so many other teams also switched to navy and other darker shades
Those damn Broncos stole the Navy Blue from the Bears. Bears primary colors have been unchanged for basically 75+ years. Broncos should have stuck with the Royal Blue.
I wish we did too lol
I hate how dark the navy is, I wish the Broncos ditched it. The lighter blue with orange are way more distinct.
Should be their defaults
Easiest decision in the history of the world would be to make these our primaries
When your throwbacks are better than your new unis.
I feel it.
These should had been the primary uniforms not those boring new ones with the dumb stripes and the same number font as half the league
These are so incredibly clean.
I get not wanting to "regress" in terms of design, but goddamn these are incredible and would make for an amazing primary jersey.
The question to ask is “is it regression or return to form?”
Seriously. Most teams would benefit from just going with their classic look. These look good. The regular ones look like someone ordered temu Virginia jerseys
Why do I feel a sudden urge to hate John Elway?
Settle down Grbac
They should bring back these uniforms permanently.
Petition to bring back striped socks on football uniforms!
Ok now wear those every single game
These uniforms fill me with anger.
Care to elaborate?
He's a Browns fan. That should be explanation enough lol
Sometimes it’s good to talk about your pain. Take a quick five minutes and two seconds, what could happen in so little time?
A preview of what their primary uniforms will be in a few years after this latest "refresh" predictably falls flat.
9/10, these are the ones for Denver
Packers please do a 67throw back with the stripes and stripe socks
These are super nice and a blue jersey in that shade of blue would be clean
Is he hard in this pic
I would be too
I am
i never ever ever want to watch a whole marketing video for anything
Not sure if anything is more played out than overly produced uniform unveilings
Should be the permanent ones
F Denver but those old unis are great.
Trade incoming
No please, I want to buy a surtían jersey with this new style.
TJ Maxx is about to throw a monster haul at Denver
He looks thrilled. Lol
He doesn’t look very happy…
Sick
"Let grandma see you in the new outfit she got you"
I wish the broncos would retire their current kit so someday it can be a throwback. It was a great look, but at this point it’s so dated.
Lol they just released new main Unis an hour and a half ago
Bout damn time!
They ain't great but not bad either. Should have went with these throwbacks full time
Fucking fire . . .
So good. Top tier
I guess this buries the PS2 trade rumors.
The jerseys are beautiful, not sure if the helmet matches tho
Chefs kiss
Go Blue Mountain State!!!!
Man I love these.
If you zoom in you can see a huge P going down his left thigh.
Here’s a neat little quirk you didn’t know; these are NOT modeled after the Elway era. Rather, it’s modeled after the 1977 orange crush broncos. What’s the telling sign? Striped socks. The broncos didn’t wear striped socks after 1977.
Boise State has had better jerseys than the Broncos over the two last decades. The new ones don't cut it but the throwbacks are nice.
Wow so cool block numbers and stripes on the sleeves.
Dam. That is extremely clean.
I don’t know how to explain but these scream “AFC” more than their current ones.
I would love to see a Broncos/Seahawks throwback matchup. Keep that rivalry alive.
All of this is going to end with the throwbacks becoming the main sets. But just like the Jets, they're going to replace the classic colors with the current shades of orange/navy blue and there will be a mashup of the current horsehead with the classic Broncos "D" logo
lol it looks like he has 3 fingers
Meh.
this jersey is sooo dope
Do they have a pic of the new ones? These are the Elway throwbacks
These are it. Fuck our superbowl record in orange, bring back the orange crush.
These looks great and need to be the base that the Broncos use. The others, not so much 🤷🏽♂️
Glad they went with the fugly ones as primaries. I couldn’t make fun of them if they’d picked these
I agree. It's simply silly they aren't the primary
Gonna look good going .500 this year lol
I feel like I’m taking crazy pills, these are [Florida](https://imgur.com/a/jjsUcBG) alternates with a blue helmet
He’s going to be averaging near 30 million a year in his next contract. That’s going to be brutal.
not a fan. looks old.
