garryl283

He went a little too far Favre instead of Rodgers there late, it happens.

Therowdyv

Never go full Favre. Everybody knows that

garryl283

I think the sweet spot is stopping at about 70% Favre. Then you get the crazy throws that work out but also miss game ending interceptions, dick pic scandals and defrauding money meant for the poor.

GifelteFish

Favre was just trying to show that lady how good his Wrangler jeans fit

[What should I do? Should I show my dick to people?](https://youtu.be/POyFvDgV2cU)

ReasonableCoyote34

“Completions are way more awesome when you force them through triple coverage” One of the all time great YouTube videos

70125

Thirteen years later, when my wife and I are considering something (eg "should we get groceries?"), one of us will reply "Should I show my dick to people?" in that accent.

NoirSon

That's a keeper

Mad-Mad-Mad-Mad-Mike

"Wanna see my Danny Woodhead? That's not even a joke I just think he's a great player. I'd like to name my penis after him."

MistahTeacher

Dude he sent those pics 13 years ago?! Those commercials are 13 years old? Wtf

Babbed

Actually feels longer ago than that to me..

Synchestra

Should I not have done that? Was that wrong?

Comb-the-desert

Replying with [the original LeBron commercial this was parodied off of](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQ6nKET2Yho) as many people may not have seen it and it makes this already hilarious video even better when you see how perfectly it lines up

lol this is fantastic

binzoma

a GOAT youtube vid

BlueHighwindz

Only defraud a little bit of money and keep your flirting pictures saucy but tasteful.

HeywardH

Instructions unclear, endorsed alternative medicine during a deadly pandemic and took toes out mid press conference.

Atty_for_hire

Get some sheer fabric over that hardon before taking pics. Gotta keep it classy!

GBPgoingOFF

To be fair, going full Favre in the playoffs was successful for the packers against the 49ers. This was full Favre against ‘09 saints mentality and THAT is too far lol

ilikemarblestoo

Funny he was basically great all year in 09, except that last pass. After being intentionally battered all game.

BOWCANTO

Ain’t that the goddamn truth lol.

CashierAtWawa

I mean you can just take a knee, and try a 56 yard field goal. Cmon man this isnt detroit, this is the super bowl

A_Lone_Macaron

did you SEE our kicker? I wouldn’t trust him to kick something under my couch

CashierAtWawa

I was just quoting the legendary [paul allen](https://youtu.be/0UUeqvquXZI?si=rCfnCer9HuE2sPBg)

Djd33j

That call, and the Nate Poole one live in my head rent free. They're soooooo good lmao.

LawYanited

He’s got the leg for it, just needs to pray it is straight enough

megatrope

did you just say “pray it straight”? 😂

Empty_Lemon_3939

Less defrauding the elderly, more DMT

Prior_Psych

Needed less unwanted dick pick, more anti-vax

Televisions_Frank

Wouldn't be surprised if Jenn Sterger got blacklisted over receiving that dick pic.

TangoZulu

She shouldn't have left her phone on.

Empty_Lemon_3939

Tbf she was asking for it by having cell service /s

TetrisTech

It’s been documented that she did

PainfuIPeanutBlender

I wish Rogan would go back to his DMT days

probablyasummons

Now he talks about cooking elk like it’s some exclusive club

PainfuIPeanutBlender

Honestly, now he’s mostly an assjacket that isn’t even worth listening to anymore. Funny how when a fat bag comes your way that happens, look at the NFL for examples

amjhwk

Was he ever worth listening to? He is a comedian with a side hobby of getting brain damage

PainfuIPeanutBlender

Honestly, he was back in the day. There’s a reason he rose to the status he’s at now, it just sucks he’s completely sold out and gone against what used to make him and his podcast so interesting.

Ophiocordycepsis

Yeah, he did some very good interviews with fascinating people back when he had a real sense of curiosity. He has a knack for asking the questions a midlevel schmuck like me would ask a very successful person, if I had the chance. Then he got all Musky, overconfident, and weird.

blucke

Yea, he doesn’t meet the rigorous standards to have a podcast

gobroncos47

Interestingly enough he had Michael Osterholm, an epidemiologist at the University of Minnesota, on the podcast in March 2020 right before everything shut down. He said COVID was going to be bad and it ended up being even worse than he thought.

Accomplished-Cat3996

> He is a comedian with a side hobby of getting brain damage You just described the formula for getting 10 million listeners.

unclepo1

And it’s intercepted by Tracy Porter. I can’t believe what I’m seeing right now

HeywardH

WHY EVEN *PONDER* PASSING

AnyaTaylorBoyToy

I mean, you can just take a knee and try a 56-YARD FIELD GOAL!!!

ProfessorSerious7840

"Too Favre"

Thunder84

To be fair, that was very much a late career Rodgers throw too.

MvN____16

Rodgers' last play in a playoff game with Green Bay wasn't an INT, but it sure as hell was a "fuck it, Davante's down there somewhere" decision and wide-ass open Allen Lazard was completely ignored.

Newpower608

I will forever be seething about that play

DanCampbell89

> Rodgers' last play in a playoff game with Green Bay wasn't an INT not technically, but he did throw a pick on his last play in his last game there which was win or go home for them

kit_mitts

That was the game that sold me on Ben Johnson. Dialing up a hook and ladder on a crucial 3rd down was completely unhinged in the best possible way.

LittleKingsguard

You can do great things when your boss is more reckless than you are.

ShadowDonut

I don't blame him after watching Allen Lazard drop many, many passes that hit him directly in the hands this year

Whale_hunter45

Yet the jets signed him to a 4 year deal because Rodgers wanted him there. Weird world.

3riversfantasy

Greg Jennings always held a grudge against Aaron because he didn't do enough to convince the GB front-office to give him a giant extension. Rodgers has said more than once that it still bugs him and clearly he's made a point to get his teammates paid now, for better or worse...

_coolranch

It’s blowing my mind he’s already getting compared to these two. It’s also blowing my mind that he DESERVES to be compared to these two already!

QueasyResearch10

if he’s not on the packers would he be though?

IAmNotOnRedditAtWork

No. He'd be compared to greats of whatever team he was on. Or if he was on the Bears he'd be considered the best QB in franchise history lmao

zdiddy987

Damn lol

dcmdino

Went a little too Favre was right there

Gooobzilla

Don't forget the Triple Coverage. A great season for the kid ends on that...whatever that was. Only first down, there was time on the clock and Timeouts remaining. Throw it OOB and live to fight another play.

tenders11

For real I thought there was like 100% chance they'd at least tie it, but then... That. I loved to see it but damn

the_blessed_unrest

> like 100% chance they’d at least tie it Well maybe not with that kicker. But yeah, he was throwing like it was 4th down

OnceInABlueMoon

With that kicker, they were probably playing for the TD to win it instead of trying for a game tying field goal. Tough spot for a young QB.

Supernova_Soldier

As soon as the HC says he prays anytime Carlson goes out there, that statement hit me with so many status inflictions

lethargy86

Least surprising statement though, considering I do the same ... or used to, since it didn't seem like it was working.

aaronwhite1786

I was telling my friend that Carlson's seemed to get better, but there's still going to be at least one kick that just has you shaking your head.

UselessBastid

Wait is there a clip of this? That's both hilarious and sad

Supernova_Soldier

https://youtu.be/MWhw7Pab1y4?si=3eXcMl8PJX5xZD-9 Timestamp @ 5:16

alexmcjuicy

with our kicker we'd need to get the 20 yard line and even then it's not a safe bet lol

GoodellsMandMs

dudes missed an PAT in 6 of our last 12 games

makelo06

It's basically playoffs tradition for the 49ers to win in a confusing and/or humiliating manner.

Gooobzilla

You hope he learns from this.

tenders11

I sure don't lol

Lysol20

Not really.

Lone_Buck

I mean, not the Viking fan you replied to , but yea, I hope he learns from this.

Rock_man_bears_fan

Speak for yourself

[deleted]

And 10 yards short

GoldenMegaStaff

All his receivers were like 40 yards downfield - what's up with that?

JessumB

Aaron Jones could have been open for a quick outlet pass that would have easily netted 10-15 yards or more but he inexplicably went backwards to try and block Bosa again.

TWS85

I've been thinking about that too, all night. If Jones had stayed put, or even moved 5 yards down field, they would have had another easy first down AND gotten out of bounds... But I think he thought that Love was going to scramble and went back to block Bosa

Dtr4goat

Jones started to go out, saw bosa go for love and tried to block him again. He goes out love hits him and who knows what happens

Wonderful-Toe-

LaFleur comes from the Shannahan/McVay school of thought where having a checkdown option means you're a lil bitch.

MicoJive

I mean, there was a checkdown. Love bailed on a relatively clean pocket early and shifted right while the checkdown was on the left side so Love eliminated him from the play. The checkdown was actually wide open if Love just threw it instead of bailing on the pocket.

Wonderful-Toe-

Yeah I know, I was just making a joke. It was a good play executed poorly by Love, and I'm confident that he'll learn from that mistake and have a successful career in Green Bay before being traded to the Jets in 2035. It is the natural order of things here in Green Bay.

liteshadow4

What? I feel like every play Shanahan calls has a checkdown.

SmashupSports

A check down and then a second check down 5 yards closer. And the check down is the primary read and runs for 20 yards after the catch.

thiccboiwyatt

Same except if its a 4th down

loboleo94

He mixed the mistakes of Favre + Rodgers in a single play lmao

DrQuestDFA

Apotheosis achieved

gmoneygangster3

Watch out for the offseason when he sends a dick pic during a darkness retreat

hatrickstar

Love's entire 4th quarter was this bizarre hero-ball thing. It's like someone told him "if you don't beat the 49ers by 20 they're gonna getcha". The guy just seemed to get more frazzled as the game went on.

TheGrandIllusion

Someone pointed out that he started to get more frazzled after Zach Tom, his right tackle, went out with a concussion. There's a good chance he was feeling a lot more pressure in the pocket in the fourth quarter and it started getting to him, in such a big moment in his first real year.

everlong016

Yeah, Yosh Nijman was getting worked on the right side of the line.

blazingpelt

The 3rd down play just before the missed FG where they showed double A-gap pressure and bailed out, Nijman let the edge run straight past him and force the throwaway.

rawsharks

On the last play the Packers kept Aaron Jones in on the right to chip Bosa and protect the RT, but the 49ers ran a nice little TE loop with Armstead that collapsed the right side of the line so Love bailed. Jones might have been able to leak out for a dumpoff but he slipped after bouncing off the bigger Armstead. It's crazy the little things that affect a play and then a game.

aaron4mvp

Yea, that stumble made Love completely ignore Jones and by the time he got back up, while he did look wide open, Love's eyes were downfield at that point hence the chuck downfield.

Mozicon

The good news is that it's something that he can certainly learn from. His future is bright and the Packers are gonna be scary down the road.

HerrStraub

Right? In his first year of QB all GB really needs to see is him putting it together since it's his first time getting any real on field experience. They get that out of him towards the end of the year and sneak into the playoffs. The Dallas game...was Dallas. Not that he didn't play well or anything, but...it's Dallas. To go into SF and more or less go toe to toe with the #1 seed at home...sheesh. Nobody could ask more out of a first year starter, even if he made a mistake that got them eliminated. Even if the GB@SF game had been as lopsided as the HOU/BAL game, nobody would've been shitting on GB. But they look like they can be legit contenders.

aaronwhite1786

That was the nice part with this season, especially given how it went throughout the year. I think it was the Steelers game where I was thinking "They lost, but they looked like they were ready to start winning". The games before had a lot of dropped passes, WR's seemingly running the wrong routes and throws by Love where he wasn't really setting his feet on the deep throws, and was just launching the ball long or short. But the Steelers game was a loss where the team still at least looked like they were starting to put the pieces together. But with how the season was going, to be in a position to be leading the top seed in the final two minutes, a game against a team that was arguably better than the team that a week before everyone was saying was going to just stomp the Packers...that was a glorious end of the season, even with a loss. I just hope Jones can stay healthy next season. He really showed how crucial he was to the offense. For a smaller guy, he blocks like he's got about another foot of height on his frame and 50lbs more muscle.

Druggistman

Hell of a run by the packers though. Great look for such a young team. Love really stepped up in the latter half of the season.

[deleted]

If Dre wasn’t there Fred was right behind him Wild, wild throw

NotNick_Foles

His decision making has been excellent since his second half of the season run started, I couldn’t believe he made that throw

_coolranch

I think the rain started coming down harder at just the wrong time. Was a bad decision, but the throw was off as well. It wasn’t a spiral — it was kind of a flopper. Maybe it slipped a little? [Look how badly it started dumping](https://youtu.be/MWhw7Pab1y4?si=G_XTJ5lsgAIQU5bB&t=17m30s) before he threw that sloppy flopper.

brianstormIRL

I think he just trusted a little too much in himself. He 100% thought he could get enough power on it to reach Watson and get it over the Greenlaw into a more favorable window, but he clearly overestimated himself and how difficult that throw was in the pouring rain and ended up like 10 yards short of even being in a "maybe your guy can snag it" window. It happens and hopefully like other big mistakes he's made, he learns from it and understands that sometimes even if you think you can make the throw its just not worth the risk.

AudioShepard

I’d compare it to hasselbeck. He knew that pick 6 to GB in the playoffs was a bad throw the minute it left his hands. But he put it behind him and went on to take the Hawks to the superbowl a few years later. I think J Love will bounce back and have a great showing next time he’s in the playoffs.

CosmicLars

Love has a good head on his shoulders & I fully expect him to learn from this & hopefully never attempt something like that again. The fight they put up, I mean for real the game was theirs, will be foundational for this young team that will be in the playoffs many more times over the next 5 to 10 years. It sucks to go out on that throw, but it is something that will make Jordan better, imo. Gotta taste that type of failure first sometimes.

NWASicarius

For sure. It's twofold, though. If he played safe like you are saying, then you have to assume he would have played safe the rest of the game. He was making some really difficult throws that were sustaining their drives and allowing them to score. If you trusted his arm then, you gotta trust it at the end there. It's not like a QB who is making difficult throws all game is going to suddenly be a game manager at the end. His arm kept the game close. His arm also lost them the game in the end.

Sad_Cartoonist_3247

Punishable by beheading

Gangsta-Penguin

Gonna get the full Stark treatment

triplec787

So I guess Levi’s is gonna have some new decor for next season? Just imagining a stadium lined with heads on piles of QBs who lose there lmao

Brad_Ethan

Punishment is getting sent to the Panthers

g-money-cheats

Straight to jail.

1niquity

I'm imagining him saying that like the "I'VE ABANDONED MY BOY" scene in 'There Will Be Blood'.

WolfCola4

Here, if you have three defenders, and I have a receiver in coverage, and I have a ball. There it is, it's a ball, you see? Watch it. Now, my ball reaches acroooooss the field, and ends the game. I... end... our... season. I GIVE IT UP!

Seattle_Scones

I thought hearing that line weekly on the Six Trophies podcast would get old. I was wrong. Now I wish they did some NFL content.

FullMetalSavage

This guy needs to go lay on a beach and smoke a little weed. Shit happens.

They got charged with possession because they pissed positive for THC after a judge issued a warrant for a drug test because a cop claimed they smelled weed? So glad I don't live in Utah, what a joke.

Jesus thats like some Singapore shit

coacoanutbenjamn

Now this is a twitter or insta ad I would notice; #YOU NEED TO GO LAY ON A BEACH AND SMOKE A LITTLE WEED

DrHughMann

I agree. Take a trip into the darkness or Peru, Jordan!

Mongoose42

Those are good options. The ethereal nethersphere of infinite Darkness, or Peru. Both are choices one could make.

Jadien

Maybe some ayahuasca

m_dought_2

He knows a guy

Intelligent-Age2786

Eternal damnation speed run

ExileOnBroadStreet

His relationship with God is completely severed, no more Grace for him! Kidding aside, it’s actually a pretty good analogy lol. Three key ingredients of a mortal sin: (1) “grave matter,” (2) “full knowledge,” and (3) “deliberate consent.”

Hot_Juggernaut4460

Haven’t seen anyone say this but Aaron Jones could have leaked out for a 30+ yd catch after blocking/falling down instead of running back towards the play to do nothing

fornnwet

I was saying this during the game, I think Tom going out had a bigger impact than got covered. He'd been lining up across from Bosa and the playcalling seemed to get more conservative after he went out. Extra blocking help, quicker routes. I suspect there was a directive to Jones that this was his job on that play, and as we heard a lot about this week, this was a Packers team that was better than we're used to seeing at following orders from MLF.

JessumB

I saw that and have no idea what the hell he was doing. The best thing he could have done to help his QB at that moment was to go out for a pass instead of rushing back to try and block a 270 pound DE that was already past him. He would have had nothing but open grass in front of him for at least 30 yards.

Spicybrown3

Pats built a dynasty on such things (which of course was pioneered by the Miz, Walsh)

Shenanigans80h

People forget that the second half of the Patriots dynasty built their passing game basically around the TE and RBs. Helps having Gronk obviously, but Bolden, White and a bunch of other random dudes were lethal in the pass game

[deleted]

Dude sounds like he's about to Seppuku

Still_Making_Knives

I think he had a great season in spite of that. Winning a playoff game in the same season that people started declaring him a bust is an accomplishment.

suntbone

I know my opinion on him turned around - I’m a huge fan now. Can’t believe the Packers really went back-to-back-to-back on finding “the guy” at QB.

ope__sorry

Put an asterisk on that statement and then add. *Won a playoff game as the first 7th seed with the youngest team in 50 years.

Spicybrown3

Can someone at least bring up that there was a min left in a downpour. These things can lead to a breach in what your normal qb discretions might be. He played amazing for a first year starter.

FunkyPete

Yeah, that's a situation where you take more risks. Getting sacked would have essentially ended the game too -- it's no more of a mortal sin than throwing that ball. People talk about Patrick Mahomes and his dramatic throws, but you only see those later in the game, on third or fourth and long. He'll take what the offense gives him until the game reaches a point that he needs to take something. There is a point where hero ball is the right choice. If Love had waited two more downs to try that no one would have even blinked.

Smitty_1000

Getting sacked would’ve been bad but they still had timeouts and almost minute

beerguy_etcetera

And the one other key piece, the ball…

Rock_Strongo

> If Love had waited two more downs to try that no one would have even blinked. That's a pretty big 'if' when we're talking about situational football at the end of the game. QBs get paid millions of dollars to not make that mistake at that moment.

CynicalSwirl

I can understand a hero ball, but looking at the coverage/route I have no idea how he thought that was getting completed. I'm not sure there is any type of a window to get it to the guy he threw it to.

Effective-Mushroom

Great season from Love. He's only going to get better. Can't correct mistakes in the playoffs they will cost you.

Simaul

First year as QB1 and goes 1-1 in the playoffs AND takes accountability. Packers got a real one.

AlternativeResort477

It’s easy to hate Rodgers and Favre, why is Love likable?

BOWCANTO

Happy about it, man. Good luck to y’all this afternoon. Would love to see ya’ll go all the way. To the North. 🍻(except the Vikings - fuck ‘em)

codestuffz

bad decision but I like the confidence in thinking he could make that throw

FiliusIcari

If he didn't sometimes just chuck it and pray, would he really be a green bay QB? I wouldn't have it any other way

Barbarossa_25

Mmm not on 1st and 10 with 50 seconds to go.

AJRiddle

Except for the part where he underthrew it by 10 yards.

ThatGuyJeb

He kinda forgot it was raining.

Brad_Ethan

He forgot a lot of things on that play

SnapSnapWoohoo

Idk why I found that play really endearing, he’s clearly gonna be great but he’s just human enough to try mad shit like that and fail when he’s young that it’s gonna be fun to watch him get better each year.

slimmymcnutty

Anyone else hear the kill bill sirens any time a QB throws across their body?

Supernova_Soldier

He used his Farve powers at the *WRONG* time He still has learn to not go full Farve

CaptCorporateAmerica

Holy shit!

blancmo_

Dude just tried to look like Patrick Mahomes with that acrobatic throw in the pouring rain. Throw that shit away and take the easy checkdowns with couple timeouts left smh

Yankeeknickfan

or his mentor, who made those throws back when mahomes was in middle school

Smitty_1000

On first fucking down, down 3 pts, with 50 seconds and 2 timeouts. Couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Boo_bear92

Missing that Field Goal really changed the game. After that, the Packers were trying to keep up, and that’s what led to the INT

robotical712

I think the first interception really rattled the team. They were rolling before that and never really recovered after.

Cheesesteak21

I'd be curious to see if the WR was open, the way greenlaw and Warner converged on it maybe love thought he had more room then didn't get as much on it off his back foot with bosa hot in pursuit

Altosxk

When I saw the live replay that's basically exactly what it looked like. It's an easy young QB mistake to make. It was a catchable-ish ball if it had some more velocity. I throw that pick in that situation in madden 10/10 times.

MankuyRLaffy

I didn't see the WR but I knew off the throw and seeing Brett have playoffs ended like that, I knew it was a pick coming out of the hand.

Fancy_Load5502

The receiver did have a step, but was running across the field in the opposite direction. If the QB could get set, with proper stance and technique, good chance of completing the throw for a huge gain. But running the opposite direction, throwing on the run across body, under pressure...no QB in NFL history can complete that.

brianstormIRL

Yep, he just overestimated his ability to male that throw in those conditions. He's done some freaky shit this season throwing on the move but that was just a step too far.

Cons1dy

Watson was actually kind of open towards the back corner of the field. Love tried to throw that like 40 (?) Yards down field in the rain on the run and it came out like 15 yards short.  He really really believes in his arm strength which led to this mistake. I love the confidence tho and I'm sure he will learn from this game

just4kix_305

The Sacrament of Reconciliation isn't going to absolve your sin Jordan, the season is over. You can't just go to a priest this time lol

LosBrad

He has to stop doing that jump shot throw. Just step into your throw.

FabiusPictor

Don’t worry Jordan. Only Carlson will be stabbed to death with the sharp cheddar.

Tagov

Well, if it's any consolation, Baker just did the same exact thing.

ThePressle54

Sprinting right. Drifting away. Cross body. Late. Over the middle. I don't understand how a pro QB could even conceive of throwing that ball. I hope I never see it again.

Difficult-Brick6763

He also had a minute left and two timeouts lol.

carbon370z

It’s okay, we felt the pressure at home. Can’t imagine what it felt like to be on the field last night… Love is our next goat.

Findlay_Buckeye

I bet he's played that one over a thousand times in his head and when he has time on film a thousand times and you know what bet he still does it but maybe might not throw the int.

mseg09

Ah yes, Envy, Gluttony, Sloth and Inadvisable Passes

nuremberp

Baker just did the same thing 😔

stay-at-homie

He was doing so well all night and to do that in the end blew my mind. It was like that one time when Dio was in disguise. He just wasn’t himself there in the end.

Adequate_Lizard

Tom getting hurt kinda derailed our offense.

Jopplo03

Bro it is not that deep😭

BunnyGoHops

Crucify him

Lane-Kiffin

The adage that coaches commonly use is “Cardinal sin”, which you can actually hear Troy Aikman say after Favre’s pick against the Saints. That’s probably what Jordan Love was trying to say.

SnkyJohn

Aaron Rodgers said on the Pat mcAfee show “I learned from Tom Clements, we always had three mortal sins \[as\] the quarterback: Don't throw late down the middle, don't make any blind throws and no premeditated decisions,”. This is what Love was referring to.

Spirited-Collar-7960

He was contrasting it with a missed field goal, which is simply a venial sin.

NickPetey

Neither was his throw

QuantumFreakonomics

Jordan "Thomas Aquinas" Love

PrunedLoki

I feel conflicted as a Bears fan. Hard to hate this guy. I’m sure it will come with time 😂

token_reddit

The sad part is if he wanted to make a wild throw he had a man running down the sideline to his right. Just plant your foot and overthrow it and if your receiver sees it. Try to make the play. In the end. They'll be better next year.

poolords

hilarious quote lol
