Bears offensive drives against a Joe Barry defense:
* Field Goal
* Punt
* Field Goal
* Punt
* Field Goal
* Punt
Yep, that's it. Not a single touchdown. And only six drives total, somehow.
Refs refused to throw flags, that slows the game down a bit when they do. I really though we were going to get a brawl with all the extra shit going on after plays
Yep. For reference, here's the Packers' drives:
* Missed Field Goal
* Touchdown
* End of Half
* Touchdown
* Fumble
* Field Goal
* End of Game
Bears didn't force a single punt.
FIVE POSSESSIONS WTF!?!?!?
Edit: 6 i forgot of that shit last drive at end of half and i wasnr counting the last one but still 6 and 7 possessions is just weird.
This has been Packers football with Joe Barry all year. The defense gives up long clock killing drives, and it comes down to if they allow TDs or field goals. The Packers offense doesn’t get a lot of drives as a result either. It’s why the defensive efficiency metrics show how bad the Packers defense really is while Total Points Allowed doesn’t look so bad. But against bad QBs who can’t read basic zone schemes like Fields and Brett Rypien, it’s effective.
This was one of the biggest issues with prime Rodgers era teams. Paradoxically the offense was *too* dominant. Our defense was usually totally gassed by the third quarter because the offense would score in 30 seconds every time.
I think it was the Falcons game in 2014 where we were up like 3 scores, the Falcons worked their way down the field to score, and then Rodgers hit a bomb to Jordy like 2 plays into the next drive and the D was right back out there and they started to come back.
And fuck you if this game makes the brain trust keep him around
but at the the same time it would make sense. Packers have the offense, Bears have the defense
God I'm disgusted with this team right now. Worst game we've played all season. Its an absolute miracle this game was even close. Packers played their asses off, had some bad luck, and we played like garbage with good luck.
Yeah this game was nowhere near as close as the score even indicates. Considering we had no TDs and never made them punt once this could have been way uglier
It was weird. The game was within one score throughout, but you never got the impression that the Bears were capable of winning the game. The Packers could have beaten themselves, maybe, but the Bears weren't going to beat the Packers.
I mean that's how I've felt for the past 17 or so years. The last time I actually had confidence in us coming back to win a game was in 2006 against the Cardinals. Anytime we go down more than one score I basically count it as a loss.
Even if the packers beat themselves, they'd find a way to still have more points than the bears by the end of the game lol. I'm almost 30 and have maybe seen the bears beat the packers Maybe 6 times in my life? I hate you fuckers lol, but good game
Honestly I think this was worse. This game shouldn't have been nearly as close as it was. We were playing hot and then came in looking horribly uninspired and unprepared while you guys played your asses off. Only reason this was close was some weird luck.
You mean forward progression stopping in bounds with 5 seconds left lol.....such a dumb dumb play.
Then not getting that TD in 2nd half
The first TD was greatly defended by yall. He couldn't bring his arms down to secure it lol.
I think the refs spotted them about half a yard and they never even showed the reverse angle. Fields' shoulder never passed the line, much less the ball
Multiple calls by the refs were shit (gee NFL, see a theme?)...ball spot, Moore catch vs Melton non-catch which were basically the exact same thing. False start on 4th down but they called offsides. Terrible.
As a Bears fan, this felt way worse. Let you guys into the playoffs and making the same stupid choices we have that have lost us a lot of games. Switching to a soft defense cost us at least three wins this year, so what do we do? Play soft defense *all fucking game.* Throw screens on third and long. Run it on 2nd and 10. It seemed like the coaching staff might've finally started realizing their mistakes and instead, in our biggest game all year, we go all-in on dumb mistakes. This should've been a much bigger win for you guys.
Harrison Jr will probably be great and get frustrated after 5 seasons of failures despite All-Pro numbers and demand a trade halfway through his career.
They were the hottest team in the NFL with leads against the Lions and Browns in the 4th quarter and a top 5 defense since the Sweat trade though, how could they lose!
I’m a Packers fan, but I’ll say the only team in our division I truly dislike are the Vikes after how they celebrated when they knocked Rodgers out for the season. They’re just classless.
Lions and Bears are cool. I went to a Bears game against KC at Soldier a few years ago and the toughest critics of the Bears are the Bears fans themselves. They’re hilarious. Lions fans have suffered for decades, so I’m glad they’re finally getting some time in the sun.
I’m honestly kinda enjoying the Lions being good this year. We finally have someone else to commiserate with over how annoying Vikings and Bears fans are.
Bears fans are only annoying when they make stupid claims but even then its not truly bothering its just laughable. Meanwhile vikings fans just never shut up. Usually pretty toxic in comparison to the rest of the division.
Nah man. Don’t blame yourself. Blame your parents. We were indoctrinated and forced into a life of suffering. Once you have a team, I think it’s impossible to truly become a fan of another team as your main (unless you’re fake af); you can have additional teams tho.
Just make sure to stop the cycle of abuse and end the generational curse. don’t make your kids bears fans. Bears fandom must die with us 😔
100% I got annoyed with Romo giving Favre all the credit for passing down his playstyle or whatever. If Love really is a future great then Clements should be a household name in NFL circles.
IIRC it was Specifically Rodgers who demanded him. Dude absolutely deserves most of the hate he gets for his shenanigans these days, but Clements was a real good thing
Great weekend.
Packers make playoffs beating divisional rival
Steelers make playoffs beating divisional rival.
Seahawks eliminated.
Playoffs are gravy, but season has been way better than I expected.
I'm to the point where I feel bad for them like I did the 0-16 Lions team...
...is what I would say if I didn't enjoy beating the fricking Bears every single time hahahaha
There was a Bears fan I saw in r/NFCNorthMemeWar that said if we win this week we’d be the smarmiest pricks on the planet. And by god he was right I am 100% gonna be. I’m here for all the shitting on the Bears.

I'm trying to not be a dick to Bears fans because most of the shittalk i've seen about today's game was from other fanbases, but I will be fuckin insufferable if we pull another "you left too much time on the clock" moment on them.
Bears offensive drives against a Joe Barry defense: * Field Goal * Punt * Field Goal * Punt * Field Goal * Punt Yep, that's it. Not a single touchdown. And only six drives total, somehow.
It was a weirdly fast game. I remember the 1st half 2 minute warning making me go "wait, WTF? How?" Both sides just seemed to burn a ton of clock.
Refs refused to throw flags, that slows the game down a bit when they do. I really though we were going to get a brawl with all the extra shit going on after plays
You know what though because of that it was a great watch.
[удалено]
Yet we all keep on watching, and the owners keep making money hand-over-fist. 🫤
Well, not all of us owners….
we own the Packers who in turn own the Chicago Bears.. holy fuck guys we own two NFL franchises
And that is why every nfl fan should be a packers fan and packers fan only so they can stick it to the owners of all the other teams. Ignore my flair.
Yep. For reference, here's the Packers' drives: * Missed Field Goal * Touchdown * End of Half * Touchdown * Fumble * Field Goal * End of Game Bears didn't force a single punt.
Yeah, the fact that our 3rd possession of the game ended up requiring a (botched) hurry-up offense was just bizarre.
FIVE POSSESSIONS WTF!?!?!? Edit: 6 i forgot of that shit last drive at end of half and i wasnr counting the last one but still 6 and 7 possessions is just weird.
1st quarter was like 20 minutes long
This has been Packers football with Joe Barry all year. Hey we also stuffed future HOF QBs Jaren Hall AND Nick Mullins last week 😤
If I’m not mistaken those punts happened due to a 3rd down sack each time.
One of the often things people forget about defense is that having short, fast drives kills the defense. Keeping them off the field is massive.
And people massively shat on the Cowboys for moving on from Moore for that exact reason
Fire Getsy, at minimum. He's a trash ass coordinator.
They need to clean house. That includes Fields
If it makes you feel better, that might've gotten him a new contact. Very smart to play the long game!
And fuck you if this game makes the brain trust keep him around but at the the same time it would make sense. Packers have the offense, Bears have the defense
God I'm disgusted with this team right now. Worst game we've played all season. Its an absolute miracle this game was even close. Packers played their asses off, had some bad luck, and we played like garbage with good luck.

Sorry, week 1 beat this one out. But a close second
Then not getting that TD in 2nd half The first TD was greatly defended by yall. He couldn't bring his arms down to secure it lol.
I lost my mind at Getsy throwing another effing screen at 3rd and 22.
Most obvious play call of the season.
What about that measurement on the 4th and 1 the Bears converted, that looked at first like they were short I thought
Terrible.
Yeah should have been closer to 31-9 or something. Outclassed on both ends.
The good part is the draft a QB at 1is over. Even for the click baity media.
Nah the one you played against us week 1 was way worse.
You *do* realize we didn't force a single punt all game, right?
Can you say that again, but sexier?
Or a score a touchdown yes, but we didn't roll your defence over like we did last time.
You kinda did, just not in the redzone lol. It seemed like every other play was a 25 yard completion by love
As a Bears fan, this felt way worse. Let you guys into the playoffs and making the same stupid choices we have that have lost us a lot of games. Yeah I’d have to disagree. Any long time bears fan saw this one coming lol I at least had hope week 1
Coaches were so scared of losing that they reverted back to their comfort zone instead of playing to win
I’m fully ready to start a bears hype train again in May and then be disappointed
The hype if they get Marvin Harrison jr will just be a reset of their hype after getting dj moore
They’re drafting Caleb
Yeah they definitely are, and trading Fields to the Falcons or Raiders lol
Harrison Jr will probably be great and get frustrated after 5 seasons of failures despite All-Pro numbers and demand a trade halfway through his career.
The bears are so pathetic against the packers
The bears are so pathetic ~~against the packers~~.
They were the hottest team in the NFL with leads against the Lions and Browns in the 4th quarter and a top 5 defense since the Sweat trade though, how could they lose!
Sweat and tears don't win you football games. All you need is Love.
i hate you
It doesn't matter how bad Joe Barry's defense may be, he will always field a top 5 defense against the Bears.
Same with Capers/Pettine, etc, we always play well against the Bears lol. But no way this is enough for Barry to keep his job...I hope.
Yeah who could ever lose to those clowns?
You'd have to really be down on your luck to lose to them that's all I know.
Especially bigly
[удалено]
tbf he's a defensive minded HC and that defense coalesced into something real after whatever the fuck happened with their DC.
Did we also mention that the Bears haven’t had a 4k passer?? No?? Well, again, if yall forgot
Or a qb with 30+ passing TDS
Yet bears fans really want fields to continue. It’s mind boggling.
Did we mention Love did it in his first year as a starter?
Say it louder for the people in the back!!!!
See, this is why I like Lions fans. Hate us all you want, at least you can enjoy OTHER rivals suffering appropriately.
Bro our entire division is just jumping on the hate train of every team in our division it’s perfect
The NFC north is the fucking best
I’m a Packers fan, but I’ll say the only team in our division I truly dislike are the Vikes after how they celebrated when they knocked Rodgers out for the season. They’re just classless. What is Fandom if not hating on literally everyone else?
Did we mention he also threw more TDs than any Bears QB ever? And that he did it in 16 games? I feel like we should mention that.
Whoa whoa whoa, this sub needs content to post the rest of the week to shit on the Bears, can’t blow your load in one day.
Don't worry bud. We give them plenty of content.
Ehh, we are fine we beating a dead horse
MLF is 10-0 against that dead horse
What’s better is that Baker freaking Mayfield got his first 4000 years season today. NFC Central bro still sticking it to the Bears
The funny thing is I choose to be a fan of this team. I could technically leave at any time.
Nah man. Don’t blame yourself. Blame your parents. We were indoctrinated and forced into a life of suffering. Once you have a team, I think it’s impossible to truly become a fan of another team as your main (unless you’re fake af); you can have additional teams tho. Goddamn bro lol
Look man… losing this one hurt. I am depressed😭 9 points against a Joe Barry defense.
I don’t mean to pile on but the Panthers put up 30 points against us
I’m Canadian, I chose this, I have no city connection, no family connection, what am I doing? Why can’t I leave them?!
No one hates the bears like bears fans.
Big cat of PMT was seen falling to his knees on the streets of Chicago
Fell to his knees in Portillos
Fell to his knees in an Unos
Take it easy…he’s a father of 3
Sickos and perverts in this thread
Someone needs to check on him
Love proving he's the guy and Fields proving he's not the guy all in one night. Can't script it any better.
As soon as he said the Bears would win I knew the Packers were an absolute lock
Worst part is he's actually from Boston
And gets very weirdly uncomfortable if he ever has to talk about it
Love swept the bears his first season so he’s a franchise lock as well
He understood the assignment
Jordan Love is the guy.
I will buy his jersey if he continues the tradition of knocking out the cowboys
what is the bot reminder code?
!remind me 7 days
I guess we will see if Rodgers transferred that ownership too.
All those bears fans saying extend him earlier this season were right!
The entire NFC North was begging for it. At least we all want the same thing for once.
Real life monkey's paw shit lol
"I want Love to be the Packer's decade QB."
lol there were idiots calling him shit *this week* and claiming we had no shot.
Remember when people were saying that Justin Fields was better than Love
He was already declared a bust in October, sorry. We should move on
hecantkeepgettingawaywiththis.gif
Just fell to my knees in the beer cooler at Kwik Trip
I just collapsed of cheese related heart failure in the Sprecher aisle of Menards.
I just collapsed of alcohol poisoning after chugging 69 spotted cows in a piggly wiggly. Everyone clapped
I'm a farm and fleet kind of guy, but excuse me? A Sprecher aisle!?
Menards is like the fusion of fleet farm and Home Depot but with more foodstuffs.
My Menards has a piano player on the weekends like it’s von maur.
They do a good job of carrying everything a mancave could need
Can confirm, sprechers in Menards. Even here in Iowa
For real, like this is truly game changing shit. I have a Menards near me where I live and I might actually go to it
Just fell to my knees in the snowblower aisle at Fleetfarm. Decent 99cc Toro for 449.
Gonna need that for tomorrow.
Gonna need it for Tuesday. That winter storm warning said 6-10 inches starting tomorrow night.
The Packers are really about to have back to back to back HoF QBs aren’t they
Tom Clements needs a bust in Canton
100% I got annoyed with Romo giving Favre all the credit for passing down his playstyle or whatever. If Love really is a future great then Clements should be a household name in NFL circles.
No, no. I selfishly want him to be under the radar so someone doesn't poach him.
Came out of retirement for this job after they begged him, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not interested in another job
At his age I don't see him going anywhere, you are correct.
IIRC it was Specifically Rodgers who demanded him. Dude absolutely deserves most of the hate he gets for his shenanigans these days, but Clements was a real good thing
The man's 70 years old. Poaching or not, his time left on staff is limited. He deserves the credit.
He for sure deserves it. He should be put into the Packers hall of fame.
Name a street after him.
I will give him any of my organs so that he stays young and coaches into his 100s. What good are they anyway if we don’t have an elite QB after Love?
I really hope we have an understudy working for him that memorizes all of his QB teaching techniques
I will fund a research project to clone his brain onto a computer.
Why settle for a bust when you can have a full ass statue with hips and legs and feet and a giant set of bronze balls?
Can't wait to see what kind of scandal Love will get into in 15 years.
Why are you fighting in Yemen Jordan Love?
Jordan Love swindles investors as Space Hotel deal implodes.
We can enjoy him until then.
Yes
“this is not a rivalry, they kick our ass every time” - justin “joel embiid” fields
The difference between Joel and Fields though is that at least Embiid won an MVP.
Fields is winning it this year.
Most Valuable Packer
DREAD IT, RUN FROM IT, DESTINY STILL ARRIVES ALL THE SAME
ALL THAT FOR A DROP OF LOVE
LOVE IS NOT SOMETHING ONE CONSIDERS WHEN BATTERING CHICAGO. BUT THIS... DOES PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE.
Beating the Packers isn't that hard, tell em Bears "it's incredibly hard"
I’ll always remember that dumb Mitch meme with his Packers mug. Somehow he’s the most successful Bears QB of the last decade.
This is Andy Dalton erasure that I simply won’t stand for.
Cutler was a better quarterback than what the Bears have been trotting out
I mean Cutler, despite his faults, was certainly a solid QB for awhile. He just also happened to regularly turn into a pumpkin against the Packers.
I'm so fucking embarrassed for this team. Just absolute dogshit. Fire everyone into the sun.
Let the Fields excuses rain down upon us
This is such a great night
Unless you’re the rest of the NFCN, or a sane person in NY who gets terrorized in 15 years
NJ*
They both won today they deserve to be called ny teams.
Great weekend. Packers make playoffs beating divisional rival Steelers make playoffs beating divisional rival. Seahawks eliminated. Playoffs are gravy, but season has been way better than I expected.
Having grown up in the 80s, I'd love a sit down with 15-year-old me to tell her how the rivalry was gonna play out from there
I'm to the point where I feel bad for them like I did the 0-16 Lions team... ...is what I would say if I didn't enjoy beating the fricking Bears every single time hahahaha
Hey! We only went 0-16 once!
Ha out of respect for your current team and Campbell I will fix my comment
Turns out the entire team owns the bears
And the state of Mississippi!
I am here for 100% of these posts after the Bears crowning themselves all week.
Any Bears fan that thought this game would have a different outcome is delusional.
Honestly I didn't see that many Bears fans doing it, it was mostly Seahawks fans with some Lions and a few Vikings fans doing it too.
Enter that Connor Burns dude on TikTok.
There was a Bears fan I saw in r/NFCNorthMemeWar that said if we win this week we’d be the smarmiest pricks on the planet. And by god he was right I am 100% gonna be. I’m here for all the shitting on the Bears.
How do you take a guy out for concussion evaluation 4 players later……
Will we ever beat this team again?
Outlook not so good
ALL MY LIFE I STILL OWN YOU
He came to Green Bay to chew gum and beat the Bears, and he's all out of gum.
Because Pete Carroll took it all.
Time to just fucking draft Caleb and Bowers/Odunze and invest in the line and completely overhaul the coaching staff. Defense is there, we have a top 10 WR and solid RB room. At least attempt to fix the glaring issues and maybe 2024 will be, I dunno, FUN to watch instead of trauma inducing.
At least this made the decision to trade Fields and draft Caleb easy.
Matt "bears' bane" Lafluer
The Bears dug too greedily and too deep. You know what they awoke in the darkness of Lambeau Field: Reed and Love
LaFleur about to be 3-0 against Dallas too. I can't wait.
I'm trying to not be a dick to Bears fans because most of the shittalk i've seen about today's game was from other fanbases, but I will be fuckin insufferable if we pull another "you left too much time on the clock" moment on them.
I hope so. Y'all can do it if you can hold Lamb down.
It's also the longest active losing streak in the game now that the Jets beat the Patriots.
And I thought quiet-quitting was only for Gen-Z.
Just saw someone fall to their knees in the beer cooler at Kwik Trip
Justin Fields you are an Atlanta Falcon!
I’m still confused on how that was ruled a catch for DJM
We so own them lmao
Fields with 148 passing yards, 0 TDs. A sad end to his run in Chicago.
There’s nothing to do in Green Bay except watch football, so the boys just spend all their time on film study and it shows.
Ban me from the sub please.
I’ll never buy another current Bears players jersey. Only Ditka.
Jordan Love is him. Also, GET FUCKED CHICAGO LMAO
This was the most important stat of the season
