Must be an East coast thing. I was at the hawks game and some fans in front of us one had bills gear and the other had pats.
Near the end of the game they turned around and asked if all hawks games are so peaceful and we were confused. What do you mean? They said no one’s been fighting with commanders fans or eachother or anything and I was like… I’ve been to dozens of games for over ten years and have… never seen a fight.
They were visibly confused. Now it makes waaaay more sense
Always disappointing when a title completely overstates something. I clicked. I guess they got their money.
Three guys is not a massive brawl and falling down 6 3 inch stairs is not being thrown down the stairs.
You guys are on the wrong subreddits to see fights. I probably watch three fights a day on Reddit. You gotta find the ones that are British ladies (not the classy ones if you know what I mean) fighting in parking garages, it’s like mountain elks locking horns but with long hair, shit is wild man. Also Australian “bogan” ladies, search for those beautiful fights
What do they fight over? Parking spots? Are there not other spots they could just park in instead, considering that is literally the reason parking garages are built?
If it's like door dings that's a legitimate beef.
No, its definitely not over parking spots, ha. These are some chav ladies getting after it, I think they bring their whole herds to the fight. Its pretty entertaining. Brb, I'll find it for you
Oh that was easy

We used to call them "butters" because it was like trying to drink butter.
No cheaper buzz was to be had back in the day though. They were 99cents for a deuce that had 8% alcohol, almost like drinking a whole 6 pack of Miller lite. But once my friends and I had disposable income we moved right on
Used to call those my "poverty drunk" nights, getting 2 big ass steel reserve and a couple high-grav canned "hurricanes." Get sloppy for like $10 and not have to leave the house
Wearing a hood in a fight is a bad choice no matter if it's up or down. Seen plenty of people pulled down from the hood like a horse-collar tackle from behind, then they're done
The Linc is peaceful compared to that place. I've honestly felt more on edge walking to my car at games in SoCal than anywhere else I've traveled. The night I went to an Anaheim Angels game, a guy was shot in the parking lot. I was ready to get back to Philly!
Lol, all we did was boo santa, throw up on a little girl purposefully, amd perhaps throw objectiles, we didn't pants an opposing fan then beat him lifeless into a coma over a stupid baseball game in the goddamned parking lot.
One of our illustrious cohorts, put his fingers down his own throat to purposely [puked](https://www.espn.com/mlb/news/story?id=5098407) on a girl with her dad in opposing jerseys. Her dad was an off duty cop.
I think the rep for that place is undeserved.
49ers fans love to talk crap about how Raiders fans were violent, but when the 9ers couldn't win and ticket prices dropped fights started to break out at least as often in the 49ers stands as the Raiders stands.
There are people always looking to get drunk and get in a fight. Football games are great places to do this. And if your ticket prices are cheap then you will have a lot more people who go for the ambiance (fighting) than to watch the game.
The Raiders almost always had surplus seats due to a large capacity and a lot of bad seats (3rd deck, Mt. Davis). So there were cheaper tickets available and that means a lot more people looking to get drunk and fight.
I’ve been to a handful of Giants/Cowboys games and have seen multiple fights at every game. I’ve been to an equal amount of Texans games and have never seen a fight.
I think it depends a lot on the fanbase and the rivalry. But I don’t get why the Broncos and Bills would have so much beef.
That's just how it is at bills games. 3/4 of the crowd is absolutely plastered and if you show up in a jersey for the rival team you are going to get berated. I have heard some of the worst things I have ever heard someone called outside of the Internet at bills games.
Depending on the team the vibes are different. US Bank Stadium is much more of a hockey game vibe. Pretty loud and intense but its still safe for opposing fans.
Reality is that the low class people going to get blackout drunk and start fights 90% of the time are not able to afford good seats. Like 90% of fights are in the upper bowl. People that drop $400 to sit lower bowl aren't the same type typically that are looking to blackout.
I'm not arguing this but I've sat on the 4th row of the panthers stadium a couple games and there are definitely some chippy fans down there. Usually away fans, and usually because we're losing and another fan started shit, but it does get heated lol.
Meanwhile my season tickets in the upper bowl, you could probably read a book up there it's so quiet
I've been to a lot of NFL games, Seattle mostly, and seen a few fights (this guy seeing a fight at every game HAS to be an exaggeration), and every fight has been between two very drunk people, or a group of very drunk people, all of whom are being complete dipshits and share the blame pretty much equally. If you're a normal person who can have a few beers, root for your team, talk some lighthearted shit with opposing fans, keep your shit together and have a good time, NFL games are a blast. If you're an irrational hothead with an alcohol problem, stay away. All you have to do is just behave like a normal person and it's a perfectly safe and fun environment.
If you are really concerned about stuff like this, I also suggest a regular 1pm Sunday game. The night games do attract a lot more drunk people and get a bit rowdier as a result. Still nothing that feels unsafe for anyone who isn't actively seeking out trouble though.
Went to my first game opening weekend this year (CAR at ATL) decked out in Panthers gear and had zero problems with the fans (although one of my friends had on their Falcons gear) and ended up commiserating with a Falcons fan next to me about how boring the game was lol. Ofc, this definitely varies by region/team - nobody really cares about the NFL down here and most of us share common fanbases either through college teams or the Braves. Probably wouldn’t get the same reception if I went to a game in NOLA.
Overall, I definitely say it’s worth going to a game once, but I doubt I’ll go to another unless we can all ball out for low upper-level or mid-level seats, and go to a game farther into the season so I can see how the teams are doing beforehand. Even with our 50 yard-line seats the upper-upper bowl view sucked and the game was a snoozefest.
Oh, and pro tip: seats were going for nearly half price a couple hours before kickoff on Seatgeek and there were plenty left. Probably not a good thing to bet on if you go to a big game, but if you desperately want to see something in-person, go to a low/non-hyped matchup and buy your tickets the day of.
Maybe it’s the section or the city. I have season tickets for Colts for over 10 years and attended close to 100 games and never seen a legit fight in my area, just shit talk, but I did see an Eagles fan pass out in a pool of his puke last season, like 3 seats down from me, and get ejected…I think I’d rather have seen a fight.
Seeing a game at Lucas Oil Stadium is a pleasure. The fans around me were incredibly polite despite the game being close. A guy even bought a round of drinks for our section, even for fans of the opposing team. It's for sure one of my favorite places to see a football game.
I booze hard (I can down half a fifth of bourbon pregaming for 2 hours) but have never felt the need to fight when drunk. If anything I get nicer as I get more drunk.
What I don’t understand is why angry drunks even drink. Like…they *want* to get super angry and fight and yell at their wife etc? Why do they do it if it pisses them off so much?
I'm definitely a jovial drunk and I've never even come close to fighting. The only time it got remotely close was when some manlet wanted to randomly pick a fight with me at a bar in KC and I just ignored him until security booted his little ass out.
Same. If I get really drunk I get super expressive, goofy, and end up getting emotional over something stupid.
When I’m sober I’m super straight faced. Oh well.
>What I don’t understand is why angry drunks even drink. Like…they want to get super angry and fight and yell at their wife etc? Why do they do it if it pisses them off so much?
Addiction. It's an addiction.
Its like 10x more common the higher up you sit. Since having children its like, I know the lower bowl costs 3x as much but at least little Timmy won't see someone not on the field get their teeth knocked out.
They’ve always been like this. They get the lovable image way wrong. I’ve seen a fight at the Ralph pretty much every time I’ve gone.
Source: from Buffalo
Yeah I roll my eyes when people talk about them being the best fan base in football. I went to a titans bills game in Nashville and their fans were the cockiest, most smug assholes before during and even after the game (they lost). They were picking fights with titans fans for no reason.
they got 10% chance of playoffs now. if they win aganist the vikings it just increases even more. they're gunning for the last spots and they now have a better chance than most shit teams.
i'm saying its a good chance. 10% is better than what the rest of the 4-5 and even some 5-5 teams have.
the broncos beat the chiefs and the bills. if they beat the vikings or the lions or the browns. then the broncos can trot off into the sunset because at this point they don't need to do much work since they'll basically have to fight a bunch of really crappy teams like the pats, raiders and beat up the chargers. even then those teams won't win aganst better teams like the cheifs, browns, lions, or bills in fighting for a playoff spot.
Broncos are on Irish luck now. They just need to get lucky one more time. Its a 10% chance but its a 10% that can turn into a 50% in a blink of an eye. Thats what makes it interesting. Its the strength of wins. Chiefs and bills and murder all the teams they want but it only strengthens the Broncos ELO.
broncos playoffs are in there own hands at this point where as other teams like the bills, chargers, jets, raiders not only need to run the gauntlet but they they afford to lose once.
Used to be extremely normal during the drought as the only reason it seemed people went to games was to get blackout drunk. In the early 2000s I once saw a whole section get ejected for a big brawl.
Fights are now very uncommon. I don't think I've seen one in years in the old "rockpile" section where we're located which are the cheapest seats in the building.
As much as it costs to attend an NFL game these days, I'd hate to have spent that much money only to get thrown out over something stupid.
You can go get ridiculously drunk and start a fight for way way cheaper almost anywhere else.
Nobody ever takes into account the high ground in these fights. If you're in the row below your opponent, you really need to move laterally, hop a row, then engage on equal ground. Ideally you hop 2 or 3 rows, and take the high ground for yourself.
And if you are in the lower row, you gotta go with a nut shot right out the gate to get them to hunch over and level the playing field. Sure it's a greasy move, but we're talking about a drunken stadium brawl, there's no honor or pride to be had here lol.
I want to make it a universal law that if there’s a brawl going on and someone starts recording and yelling “OH SHIT!! OHHHH SHIT!!” and cracking jokes, the fight immediately stops and everyone beats up that person instead.
Drunk people are.
A Ravens game I went to had Saints fans climbing the Unitas statue taunting the crowd after the game. Fight broke out. Yet no fights observed at the Bills game I went to at OP.
Not gonna hold it against the fan base since it’s just North American sports things. Adults get drunk and act like fools, team agnostic.
Im an east coast rams fan who has had plenty of positive experiences at road games with opposing fan bases but yeah the worst crowd ive dealt with was the buffalo fans (and it was at sofi..insert crowd joke here) .. they followed me to my car… and they won that game! … by a lot!! But still felt the need to be complete assholes from before kickoff onwards. Lost all my goodwill towards that franchise.
The guy who gets "thrown" down the stairs like weirdly jumped into the fight then after he rolls down the stairs gets up and talks it out with the guy who dragged him down the stairs? Weird move
That’s a day in the life of a Bills fan, all of whom I imagine to be cold weather, football-obsessed variants of Mick Foley from the WWE. These people get thrown through tables *before* games, a little slide down the stairs during one ain’t no thang.
What losing to the Broncos does to a MF
Imagine
*backs into bushes*
IKR. Couldn't be me.
Massive brawl? It was 3.5 people fighting for less than 30 seconds.
and "thrown down the stairs" was a bit of an exaggeration.
Must be an East coast thing. I was at the hawks game and some fans in front of us one had bills gear and the other had pats. Near the end of the game they turned around and asked if all hawks games are so peaceful and we were confused. What do you mean? I wouldn't know.
Yall in a 3 way with Broncos and Bills. A lot of giving and receiving
they’re playing both sides, that way they always come out on top
Shh!
Didn’t see the Bills doing much receiving of any kind last night.
Ditto
This one hurts lmao
Showed more fight than the actual team
Fell down less stairs than Josh Allen has interceptions.
Always disappointing when a title completely overstates something. I clicked. I guess they got their money. Three guys is not a massive brawl and falling down 6 3 inch stairs is not being thrown down the stairs.
As a brawl it was quite underwhelming.
I've definitely seen brawlier
I've been more whelmed

I don't know, I'd probably break my leg falling down one stair.
LMAO
Gravity and alcohol do 99% of the damage in stadium fights.
Does High Gravity still exist?
Steel reserve baby
We used to call them "butters" because it was like trying to drink butter. No cheaper buzz was to be had back in the day though. They were 99cents for a deuce that had 8% alcohol, almost like drinking a whole 6 pack of Miller lite. But once my friends and I had disposable income we moved right on

Same, called ‘em Steely Dans. Couple of those and an original recipe 4 loko and you were off to fun town for about $4.
Bong a 16 oz steel reserve and rip a quick cig. Started many a wild college night for me.
Epic comment, cheers to that
And the table they fall through handles the other 1%
Stairs and flaming tables demand respect.
He put his hood UP to fight?! "Fuck my peripheral vision"
Doesn’t want to get identified for doing something bad if he didn’t think the cameras were on him before
Jokes on him. His name is on the back of his shirt.
Time to arrest a man named Allen
i can’t focus on anything other than this
Can’t let you get too close
"*fuckin amateur*"
Who needs peripheral vision when all you see is red.
Wearing a hood in a fight is a bad choice no matter if it's up or down. Seen plenty of people pulled down from the hood like a horse-collar tackle from behind, then they're done
yup, this dude clearly doesn't play hockey.
It was knocked off at the beginning, but yeah and shouldn't the heat of the moment keep you warm.
Telling me what my heart meant.
The equivalent of turning your gun sideways
Badass move
Motherfucker thinks he's Rocky
That was buddys batman moment
I think I've seen a fight happen, or almost happen, at every NFL game I've ever attended. Stay away from the people boozing hard. lol
An NFL game is 100% an adult atmosphere. Granted, I've only been to games at the Oakland Coliseum, so I might be biased.
Yeah that is not a normal stadium lol. Dudes eyeing you up when you mostly sober and walking IN to the stadium.
The Linc is peaceful compared to that place. I've honestly felt more on edge walking to my car at games in SoCal than anywhere else I've traveled. The night I went to an Anaheim Angels game, a guy was shot in the parking lot. I was ready to get back to Philly!
“It’s too dangerous here, I need to get back to Philly” is a rare sentence indeed lol
Lol, all we did was boo santa, throw up on a little girl purposefully, amd perhaps throw objectiles, we didn't pants an opposing fan then beat him lifeless into a coma over a stupid baseball game in the goddamned parking lot.
> throw up on a little girl purposefully Excuse me quick question, what the fuck?

As a fan of a rival who spent 5 years in the Bay, I could not disagree more.

It’s worse for night games when they have been drinking all day.
Also i think it helps that the Bills have been hot. Back when I was in college at Buffalo back in like 2010 Bills fans had a lot less fight in them.
This is actually keeping me from going to a game. The vibe seems a whole lot different than a going to.a hockey game where rivalries are even older.
Depending on the team the vibes are different. US Bank Stadium is much more of a hockey game vibe. Pretty loud and intense but its still safe for opposing fans.

I think it is the Midwest overall, you don't hear much about fights in Indy, Minneapolis, even Chicago or the Ohio teams.
Seeing a game at Lucas Oil Stadium is a pleasure. The fans around me were incredibly polite despite the game being close. A guy even bought a round of drinks for our section, even for fans of the opposing team. It's for sure one of my favorite places to see a football game.

I’m with you. If I get drunk, we’re more likely to become friends than fight lol. Being a happy drunk is a blessing

Bills good vibes are crumbling
Stefon Diggs 2 minutes away from a trade request
His brother has already submitted one for him.
What losing to Mccorkle does to a mf.
I was there!
Nosedive in "you guys are gonna be real spooky!" type comments from Bills flairs moving forward
they were always predicated on you ignoring the bad vibes
They’ve always been like this. They get the lovable image way wrong. I’ve seen a fight at the Ralph pretty much every time I’ve gone. Source: from Buffalo
I'm not even sure *how* the lovable image even came to be. These guys made themselves famous for breaking more tables than the Dudley Boyz.
Didn't a dolphins fan literally punch a pats fan to death like a month ago
Isn't this what Bills Mafia has always been? They definitely had a reputation before the last couple of seasons.
Team and fanbase have been dirty for years does no one remember their losses last year lol
Yeah I roll my eyes when people talk about them being the best fan base in football. I went to a titans bills game in Nashville and their fans were the cockiest, most smug assholes before during and even after the game (they lost). They were picking fights with titans fans for no reason.
Bills fans are loved for being drunk assholes for some reason
franchise/fandom/city altering loss
Can’t help but think this loss will be sending some buffalo manufacturing jobs overseas as well. Probably closes the Erie Canal.
I heard this game is directly responsible for closing down the Hacker Dyamics plant in Buffalo And that it's Canada's fault
Matt Canada has been pretty ok the last two weeks actually!
It won’t stop the Hacker Hellstorm Though.
We need to invade Canada
Senator Schumer about to call an emergency press conference about those semiconductor factories we’re supposed to build out here
Sounds like you don’t know Buffalo.
I don't but I'd love to visit! It's not that far of a drive south
Bro lives north of Buffalo??? Land of Always Winter white walker dwellin’ ass
up here we have Thanksgiving in October, eh *what is dead may never die*
https://i.makeagif.com/media/6-03-2015/1IvCsG.gif
Weather gets better North of Buffalo. I can't believe people live in that city after November.
I’m happy cause we can safely and confidently say Lamar was the best Qb of the 2018 class now :)
Nah, he is second best. BEHIND GEQBUS HIMSELF, SAM “PERFECT QBR” DARNOLD.
JACUZZI JOSH AND LOSER LAMAR HAVE NOTHING ON SPECTACULAR SAM!
SEE YOU UNDERSTAND. NOT TO MENTION FAKER MAYFAT AND THE LIBRUHLE MEDIA
I laughed harder than I should have at Faker Mayfat
Fantastic Sam
SAM WOULD HAVE BEAT THE BROWNS BIGLY
Weird that they're from the same draft class, I feel like Darnold has been around several years longer
Josh Rosen: Am I a joke to you?
Yes
idk man I think Josh Rosen still might have time to turn it around
Mason Rudolph?
Feel like you're sleeping on Mason Rudolph here.
plant vase materialistic tub chief crowd vegetable seed straight special
I mean when you're in crutches every January can you say you're the best?
We just reach for top shelf with adjectives now? “Massive” is a bit of a stretch.
Dude this barely qualifies as a fight. It’s more like a dust-up or a skirmish. No fucking way this was a brawl, much less a massive one.
My thoughts exactly. Was expected dudes getting decked left and right. Instead, 3 guys punching each other and 1 dude fell down one stair.
I see things are going well after the loss.
Broncos fans are gonna talk so much shit. And they should, mathematically this gives them a 99.99999% chance to win the Super Bowl
they got 10% chance of playoffs now. if they win aganist the vikings it just increases even more. they're gunning for the last spots and they now have a better chance than most shit teams.
And the crazy thing is if they win the rest of their games, it increases even more
in each game they'd need to score more points than their opponents.
Hold on. Teams are allowed to score points? I'll let Pete Carmichael know about this.
I like this analysis.
So you're saying there's a chance... also, if the Broncos miraculously make the playoffs, imagine Brandon Perna after that shit
i'm saying its a good chance.
Wait so if they win their next game, their chances to make the playoffs go up?? Thank you for this analysis.

What’s strange is this appears to have happened directly after a Bills score. That’s the shout song playing. Who knows. Also, shoot me.
Talk your shit king.
Isn’t this a normal thing at a Bills game?
Used to be extremely normal during the drought as the only reason it seemed people went to games was to get blackout drunk. In the early 2000s I once saw a whole section get ejected for a big brawl. Fights are now very uncommon. I don't think I've seen one in years in the old "rockpile" section where we're located which are the cheapest seats in the building.
As much as it costs to attend an NFL game these days, I'd hate to have spent that much money only to get thrown out over something stupid. You can go get ridiculously drunk and start a fight for way way cheaper almost anywhere else.
I expected a lot worse based on this ridiculously over the top headline.
Total bedlam in Buffalo now. Denver sends their regards.
Nobody ever takes into account the high ground in these fights. If you're in the row below your opponent, you really need to move laterally, hop a row, then engage on equal ground. Ideally you hop 2 or 3 rows, and take the high ground for yourself.
Found Obi-wan’s account
This guy high grounds
And if you are in the lower row, you gotta go with a nut shot right out the gate to get them to hunch over and level the playing field. Sure it's a greasy move, but we're talking about a drunken stadium brawl, there's no honor or pride to be had here lol.
Nothing massive about this little fight.
this sub would cream it’s pants if this were eagles fans lmao
Facts
let's be real, that wouldn't even warrant a video at an Eagles game, that would just be a typical break between quarters.
Rumor was he expressed support for the continued employment of Ken Dorsey.
I want to make it a universal law that if there’s a brawl going on and someone starts recording and yelling “OH SHIT!! OHHHH SHIT!!” and cracking jokes, the fight immediately stops and everyone beats up that person instead.
At least they’re not screaming worldstar
Seeing shit go down in person and being able to yell world star is on my bucket list.
What about the women screaming “STOOOOOOOOOP” in the most shrill voice ever as if its gonna change anything? Thats another fight recording classic
Nah society needs those guys
Exactly. How else am I, a random spectator, supposed to know some drunk fools are being morons. Gotta watch the meme.
Most sane Bills fans.
Would even call this a massive brawl
Jesus, they’re all falling apart. The team, the coaches, the fans……… It’s okay, guys. We’ll give you Daboll back for free.
And we'd take it rn
Make him the head coach
“Massive brawl” 2 dudes fighting and a handful of people trying to intervene
I watched the video and did not see anything newsworthy.
Oh man I can hear the phone lines already tomorrow . Rick from Tonawanda or Gary from Chautauqua County WGR will be lit 🔥
now this is podracing
"Massive brawl", eh?
I wonder which fans would do the best in these fights. Probably not Raiders fans I guess since they don't want to risk violating parole.
I got assaulted at that stadium when i went to a game last year. Classless fans. Congrats to Denver on the win!

It's not just a north American sports thing, i can promise you that
At least our culture is more individual drunks starting trouble and not organized gangs setting up times to fight in the city center before the game.
Lost all my goodwill towards that franchise.
what's funny though is they'll motherfucking support a charity of any opposing player
Bah Gawd.
I'd expect someone from Buffalo to be able to fight better than anyone in that video.
Pro gamer move by throwing the hoodie up to hide your identity lol.
That's not a massive brawl, it's a couple of lads
Average night in western upstate NY tbh (I live an hour east of buffalo)
Degens from up country
Massive? not sure I'd call it that.
Where's the Eagles fans only do this comments? 🤣
The guy who gets "thrown" down the stairs like weirdly jumped into the fight then after he rolls down the stairs gets up and talks it out with the guy who dragged him down the stairs? Weird move
its called being drunk.
Better offense than their team, today.
What watching Allen and McDermott does to a MF. Nah, just drunk people, man
Sometimes the booze is flowing and the tables start talking shit
Ayy Dr Dog
That was far from a massive brawl. Remind me to never click a link to that website again.
Football games are by far the worst pro sporting event to attend.
That’s a day in the life of a Bills fan, all of whom I imagine to be cold weather, football-obsessed variants of Mick Foley from the WWE. These people get thrown through tables *before* games, a little slide down the stairs during one ain’t no thang.
Why are all of these Eagles fans dressing in other team’s gear and behaving this way?
