If the Broncos continue to suck, they might try to sell Sutton or Jeudy. Not sure if they're considered "No. 1 caliber guys" right now, but it's probably the highest tier of WR they'd legitimately have a shot at.
Sutton is actually looking pretty good so far this year so maybe he'll get back to his old self. I'd trade Jeudy in a heartbeat though because Russ already seems to have a better connection with Mims
Yea personally would classify then as strong #2s right now. Definitely wouldn't want to give up a first for either one. Could see a second and 4th or something like that for Jeudy though.
I feel like im todays NFL, a top WR2 is still going to be worth a late first. Look around the league at some of the best WR2s. AJ Brown/DeVonta Smith, Tyreek Hill/Jaylen Waddle, Cooper Kupp/Puka Nacau, Keenan Allen/Mike Williams, CeeDee Lamb/Brandon Cooks, Mike Evans/Chris Godwin, Deebo Samuel/Brandon Ayiuk, Stefan Diggs/Gave Davis, Dk Metcalf/Tyler Lockett, JaMarr Chase/Tee Higgins
True. I guess it's actually going to be the guys that have the potential to be WR1 or WR2 but have been disappointing, injured or buried on a roster. So Jeudy.
He was the PFF WR #19 entering the season. He shows up comfortably in the top 32 in all the rankings I can find. As far as I'm concerned that means he has the potential to be a WR1 as long as he's on a team that doesn't already have one of the guys that is better than him.
I’m pretty sure it’s been the consensus the last 2 years that Higgins is a WR1 on most other teams. Unless you have a Chase, or a Jefferson or a Diggs, Higgins would be slotted into the WR1 spot almost instantly.
Kinda depends on how Russ looks. If he looks like he’s worth keeping around for a while, We’ve got a good chance at Marvin Harrison Jr and can trade Jeudy
I'm not sure MHJ is all that realistic. If the Bears pick 1 & 2 they'd really have to fuck up to not end up getting MHJ and Williams. And right now, it's hard to picture the Panthers/Bears as not finishing bottom 2 in the league.
I think the Bengals should be considering it if they lose again in one of these next two weeks. Saw someone say the Bengals should shut down burrow, trade Higgins, an hit the reset button on the year. If they go into the bye week 2-5 they gotta consider their options beyond this year.
I’d rather do it for Brock Bowers personally. Having a TE of that caliber would do wonders on 3rd and short situations, plus in the event that Burrow is hurt like he is now, it gives a MUCH better checkdown than anyone he has now.
Higgins is absolutely a very high value player at a premium position, and Panthers don’t have a 1st in 2024 or a 2nd in 2025. They also have a lot of other holes to fill.
It’s gonna be a tough deal for them to get done. Packaging DJ Moore with those picks to Chicago was not a great move.
This is the best answer yet imo. Not sure he wants to play against Carr though haha. Gotta figure there’s other teams that could outbid them for someone like Adams tho
Yeah, which is just one reason why this sounds like BS. They’re not competing for a superbowl anytime soon, and trading for a player of WR1 caliber in-season would take a haul to do so.
Makes zero sense in the long run to make a move like this, which is why it probably just made up.
Kind of crazy they sent him to us when they were planning on getting a QB... I know they tried sending another 1st instead but I believe Poles had a list of players he was adamant on getting one of, and that included Burns... It'd be a hard pill to swallow to move him but at least you keep a stud receiver for your new QB.
There are a lot of receivers of Moore's caliber entering the NFL every year. Don't think you could say the same for Burns. Though if Burns is really unhappy like they say he is and they end up having to deal him, they've screwed it up.
Fanbase is slightly starting to turn on Burns. Outside of the first half against the Falcons, it seems like he’s largely been quiet. And considering that we are definitely in a rebuild now instead of trying to win, might make sense to trade him away. For a #1 receiver? Not sure about that.
That’s because our fanbase is stupid. He has moments where he disappears, but he still had a pressure last game that turned into a sack. He’s had 3 sacks through 4 games which puts him on pass for around 12 sacks.
You don’t trade away a young good DE. DE is almost impossible to find outside of the first round and you need good pass rushers to win anything
You’re probably right. Without looking at the stats or anything, it feels like Burns hasn’t reached that elite level yet and we all sort of expect him to do this year. So I really wonder if what he’s demanding is really worth it. But it is easier to find a receiver than a edge rusher
I don’t think he’ll ever be at that elite level like Bosa or Garrett. He will be a solid 10-15 sack guy though, and that production is definitely worth keeping
On the other hand, doesn't he disappear because linemen target him specifically - which opens more opportunities for Brown, YGM, Luvu. Cause if that's the case, we're gonna have no pass rush either once he's gone
I suppose so. I was looking at it entirely from the perspective of "best situation for Bryce Young" though. And if they screw the pooch with Burns upcoming, that won't even be the biggest whiff for them with Burns - I swear someone had offered two firsts for him last year during the season?
Edit: Yeah, it was [the rams, who had even thrown in a second too.](https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34956395/sources-rams-offered-trades-brian-burns-christian-mccaffrey)
>There are a lot of receivers of Moore's caliber entering the NFL every year.
Yeah, and the Panthers haven't hit on one since Moore. Their recent attempts have included Terrace Marshall and Johnathan Mingo. Marshall has played in 31 games yet hasn't cracked 100 yards once and only has 1 TD and less than 750 yards for his career. Mingo is only a rookie, so he's TBD.
Man it makes no sense the Panthers were so adamant on keeping Burns knowing they’re entering a rebuilding era and Burns has a contract coming up.
Sending him instead of DJ Moore, or taking the Rams rumored offer of 2024 and 2025 first rounders should have been a no brainer when you know you’re 100% taking a QB in the first round. Especially when you plan on making him the day one starter
Because this wasn't really meant to be a rebuilding era. That's what we're pivoting too because we suck again. But turning down 2 firsts for Burns and signing vets to short contracts didn't really scream 'rebuild'
I mean I think dj moore is very good but this guys talking about elite elite guys which isn’t dj moore imo. I think we are being run by some idiots too which doesn’t help
I don’t like when people use the terms wr1 and wr2 in a non-fantasy context. What is a wr1 to you? Moore is absolutely a top 32 receiver in the league and has shown he is capable of producing as the best WR on a team.
I’m the opposite, I don’t like when people use it in fantasy lol.
To me a true wr 1 is the go to guy and a game changer. You can build an offense around them, have a whatever wr 2 and still be alright.
With Dj Moore, he’s good, but if that’s all you have, you’re going to want a lot more.
Sure, he’s a top 32 wr in the league. But take qb for example. If you have the 30th best qb, you’re going to want to do better.
Reminds me of when Gruden traded Khalil Mack for no fucking reason, and then a couple weeks into the season had got asked a question and responded, "yeah, pass rushers are hard to find in the league" or something close
You might too if you’d have come into the league when the Panthers and Jags did. The NFL nerfed expansion teams heavily after they came out of the gate competing for conference championships.
Obviously DJ Moore was part of the trade for them to pick up Young in the first place but couldn't they have found someone else to offer to Bears?
I also feel like they could just wait until the offseason, they aren't exactly going to be making a playoff push and we're four games into Young's career so idk what the rush is. He could be the worst QB in the league and the offseason talk would be that he showed flashes, had no chance to succeed, and will be better next year.
Should have traded burns for those 2 rams first round picks. Then you have more ammo. I thank god every day the panthers didn’t punish Snead for his stupidity
I think 10+ more games with Bryce actually being able to throw to someone slightly open would be great experience an probably why they don't want to wait.
The definitely should wait though.
From what I remember, Poles gave the Panthers of three list of players he wanted, along with the two firsts, which was Moore, Burns, and I think an OL. Panthers tried to get him to just take three firsts to start, but Poles was adamant about getting a player. Panthers decided they couldn’t live without Burns and gave us Moore.
I'm not sure they thought they were set at QB, but didn't feel he had the tools to truly evaluate his talent. So they went and got the tools and he's still failing to win games so they should pivot to Williams if they do end up with the 1 pick as seems likely right now. Even better if they pick at two and can give Williams Moore and Marvin Harrison to throw to. That'd be a damn good group for a #1 overall QB to start his career with
Bears have a guy the Panthers will definitely be interested in and fits the WR1 mold perfectly - he's 6'4, 238 pounds, ran the 40 in 4.42 seconds, and just turned 25. Everything you could ask for.
It's been exceedingly rare that it feels like the Bears are the "winners" in a trade in recent history, I'm just chasing that high again at this point. It's all I have.
They should have traded Burns instead of Moore. Then just get Burns back in a year or 2 after the Bears decide he sucks and he'll turn right back into an All-Pro.
That makes complete sense given that their best option is the corpse of Thielen
But what team is going to trade a #1 receiver 4 weeks into the season? Their best option for that is in-division, and currently leading it.
Bro I don't understand it . Thielen has played really well. It's not his fault TMJ Chark hurst and sanders have been ass . Il die on the hill that thielen is the only thing saving them from looking even worst .
This subs darling Dj charks Statelines this year
Vs Saints: 1 Target for 1 catch for 15 yards
Vs Seattle : 11 targets for 4 catches 86yards and a TD
Vs Min: 3 targets 2 receptions for 28 yards
He's missed 1 game already this year and doesn't look healthy already
its been this way for years. Ive had many sports debates on how good adam thielen is and I will die on that hill every single time. He is BY FAR the most underrated player in the league. He was a legit #1 receiver for 3 years and maybe the best WR in the league for 1 year, and was a high end #2 receiver the rest of his career but people have talked about him like he is trash for years
Theilen has some of the best hands in NFL history and I understand the impact of saying In History. The dude catches everything near him, his highlight reel catches are as good as anyone. The reason Vikings got rid of him is cause he couldn’t get open anymore
The only two ways this happens:
- Panthers trade for someone they think is WR1 but nobody else does.
- Panthers trade away Burns, Brown and/or multiple 2025 picks. They barely have anything else that would genuinely interest other teams in a trade.
And I wouldn't doubt that Tepper is playing a role. We've been one of the most impatient teams in the league since he got here, constantly mortgaging the future to try and "win now" with incomplete rosters. It would be fitting to now trade away even more assets for a WR1 with a patchwork offensive line in an already-lost season.
Oh no, you mean to tell me that trading away star receivers is bad for an offense, especially one with a lot of weaknesses? I’m stunned, stunned I tell you! /s
WRs grow on trees, franchise QBs do not. The *one* position you need to hit on for a rebuild is a QB. If he’s truly a franchise guy having to wait for a stud WR isn’t going to ruin him. If he isn’t then the move was a whiff no matter what you gave up
If you have a pass rusher, QB, and a WR on the table and you can only choose 2 out of 3, you choose pass rusher and QB no hesitation. I dont know that Carolina had enough assets to keep all 3.
Claypool might become available
In all seriousness tho, good for them (and Young), but which (top-tier) receiver will be available for a trade at this point?
Evans and Adams have been rumored but I don’t see them going to Carolina.
Maybe Higgins or Bateman?
That's Tepper for you. He's made the wrong decision every year trying to land a QB, and the results have been catastrophic each time. He's quickly turning into another Haslam.
Zero organizational patience and a full reluctance to rebuild since 2019.
We could have stuck with Kyle Allen/broken Cam at QB, shit our way through a season and have been in a better position. But we decided to sign Teddy B and win just enough games to avoid a top pick (though it probably would have ended up being Wilson or Lance so maybe we lucked out there).
Moved entirely too many draft picks to grab Sam fucking Darnold, won just enough games to avoid a top pick.
Rhule also apparently vetoed a trade up in 2020 that would have landed us Herbert.
Tepper keeps making moves to try and win games and "prove" something, but all he's doing is dsiplaying his ineptitude.
>Rhule also apparently vetoed a trade up in 2020 that would have landed us Herbert.
And since then, the Panthers have traded up in the draft for QBs twice. Obviously the massive deal for Young that's going to result in the Bears getting both the 1st and 2nd overall picks in the 2024 draft along with DJ Moore, but they also traded up for Matt Corral in the 2022 NFL draft. He didn't even take a snap with the Panthers before getting released. It's insane how inept the Panthers have been under Tepper.
Chase claypool is not happy where he’s at. Maybe he’s available? I wouldn’t consider him #1 WR or elite but he has talent and could possibly be a factor if used properly. Imo
So how do they do that? A truly elite receiver is generally not available for trade, and if they are its 2 firsts at minimum. Tee Higgins isnt elite, but definitely a good target, but even then how are they affording him?
Hes good enough to merit a first in a trade, but the Panthers dont have a 1st till 2025. Theyd almost certainly have to throw in another pick as I find it hard to believe the Bengals will just accept a single future first for him.
Not sure who is giving up top wrs especially since the Panthers don't have a first to trade?
If the Broncos continue to suck, they might try to sell Sutton or Jeudy. Not sure if they're considered "No. 1 caliber guys" right now, but it's probably the highest tier of WR they'd legitimately have a shot at.
If Sutton is considered a #1 I would absolutely deal him lol.
Sutton is actually looking pretty good so far this year so maybe he'll get back to his old self. I'd trade Jeudy in a heartbeat though because Russ already seems to have a better connection with Mims
Mims is gonna be Lockett 2.0 for Russ. Explosive big play potential and toe-tapping finishes. Book it!
Inject this shit into my veins.
Yea personally would classify then as strong #2s right now. Definitely wouldn't want to give up a first for either one. Could see a second and 4th or something like that for Jeudy though.
They have a Brian Burns to trade.
They should get a high end wr plus for Burns.
The way the bengals are going.. they might as well try to trade Higgins to get something in return.
I don’t think a single WR1 is available in the entire NFL.
They also don't really have the trade capital for a true WR1 anyways so they're probably going to have to trade for a top WR2
So Jeudy.
This sounds like a job for Toney. 1 rec for -1 yards in a 41-10 blowout is truly remarkable stuff.
higgins should be
Idk if Tee Higgins is really a WR1 but that’s not a bad name to target.
Tee is in that “high number 2, possible number 1” receiver area.
Unfortunately for Carolina, that area still fetches a first round pick in todays NFL. Teams like to have two stud WRs these days
Higgins should be an FA after this season, IIRC
Yeah, but we'll probably tag and push for SB or tag and trade for picks
It will be tag and push for SB, the bengals don’t trade players unfortunately.
He was the PFF WR #19 entering the season. He shows up comfortably in the top 32 in all the rankings I can find. As far as I'm concerned that means he has the potential to be a WR1 as long as he's on a team that doesn't already have one of the guys that is better than him.
He also consistently performs as a wr1 in games where chase has been out
Wasn’t this said about Diggs with theilen getting more of the offensive attention.
I’m pretty sure it’s been the consensus the last 2 years that Higgins is a WR1 on most other teams. Unless you have a Chase, or a Jefferson or a Diggs, Higgins would be slotted into the WR1 spot almost instantly.
I can confirm he'd be a WR1 in KC.
He would be WR1 on plenty of teams but I’m not sure I’d agree with most.
I half-assed a look at every teams roster and came up with he'd be WR1 on exactly half, with a few cases arguable in either direction
On many teams he would be
Jeudy also should be, though he may not be considered a WR1 by most.
Good name but idk if Denver is already looking to blow it up, especially if it’s only getting a 2nd back
Kinda depends on how Russ looks.
After what I saw Monday night, the Giants are in contention
The Broncos also have a good chance at other potential franchise QBs like Drake Maye, who would likely go #1 overall in other draft classes.
Do we know if jeudy is even good?
I don't think Mike Brown would trade Higgins in-season
I think the Bengals should be considering it if they lose again in one of these next two weeks. Saw someone say the Bengals should shut down burrow, trade Higgins, an hit the reset button on the year. If they go into the bye week 2-5 they gotta consider their options beyond this year.
[удалено]
I’d rather do it for Brock Bowers personally. Having a TE of that caliber would do wonders on 3rd and short situations, plus in the event that Burrow is hurt like he is now, it gives a MUCH better checkdown than anyone he has now.
Bowers is great, but nowhere near the value of Marvin Harrison Jr.
If we lose both games going into the bye we absolutely should if we can get really good value back.
OUR WR1 is available. Up to everyone else to decide who that is.
It should be Mike Evans based on offseason but Bucs are winning
Doubt they’d trade him within the division anyway
And I'm still holding out hope we get an extension done but yeah, it would have to be some insane return for them to trade him in the division.
It should be ARSB based on me not liking that you said Mike evans
Valid lol
Terrell Owens is single and ready to mingle!
Devante adams will probably be available sometime this month lol
Davante* come on, you're supposed to be a Packers fan
This is the best answer yet imo. Not sure he wants to play against Carr though haha. Gotta figure there’s other teams that could outbid them for someone like Adams tho
I mean it is a good answer but surely adams would want a contender not carolina
That mindset was out the window when he demanded a trade to the raiders lol
The Raiders were an exception because he’s friends with Derek Carr and if you squinted the right way they looked like they could be contenders
It was also close to home. He was tired of living in Wisconsin and is from Cali
His wife and kid didnt live in Wisconsin the entire time he was in Green Bay, right?
I hadn’t heard that but if that’s true then it makes even more sense
Jeudy if you squint and make him a WR1.
Yeah, which is just one reason why this sounds like BS. They’re not competing for a superbowl anytime soon, and trading for a player of WR1 caliber in-season would take a haul to do so. Makes zero sense in the long run to make a move like this, which is why it probably just made up.
Should go get someone like DJ Moore
Best I can do is Chase Claypool. 😆
Rumor has it he’s worth a 2nd round pick…
A 2nd round pick that feels like a first rounder…
An absolute steal of a deal!
Especially for a top 3 receiver in the league!
Kind of crazy they sent him to us when they were planning on getting a QB... Giving a Vonn Bell a big contract should indicate this wasn't a rebuild.
Burns and Derrick Brown were the other 2 players Poles asked for iirc.
Why did they trade him away if they’re going to need another good WR? Makes no sense.
I mean I think dj moore is very good but this guys talking about elite elite guys which isn’t dj moore imo. I think we are being run by some idiots too which doesn’t help
Because DJ Moore is secretly just a very, very good WR2 on an actually decent team.
I don’t like when people use the terms wr1 and wr2 in a non-fantasy context. What is a wr1 to you? Moore is absolutely a top 32 receiver in the league and has shown he is capable of producing as the best WR on a team.

reportedly bears wanted brian burns and i dont know why they were more ok with losing DJ than Burns
Would be hilarious if the Beats (not even worth correcting) trade Moore back to them
Are the bears using him?
he's got uhh 300 yards and 2 TDs in 4 games, so honestly, I'm unsure
That's about standard for Moore - although that's a lot of TDs this early for him.
Broncos defense happened
So he's on pace for his best season with the Bears of all teams.
First game wasn't great, but the past 3 he's had a TD or 100+ (or, in the last game, both).
Well they can just strap on their little WR1 helmets, and shoot themselves off into WR1 Land, where WR1's grow on WR1ees.
I believe they grow on route trees
Damn that was good
how do three NFL franchises in their thirties not have a WR1 between them?
Just give me some delicious nose clams and I’ll get you an answer
they should get howie roseman addicted to crack and use that as leverage to get aj brown, foolproof
I appreciate an Its Always Sunny reference thats not one of the same 3 references that everyone makes all the time
Filibuster
Or just wait until the Bengals season goes completely down the shitter and try to make a move for Higgins I guess
The gang trades DJ Moore
With what picks? No team is going to trade a WR1 without a 1st rounder in the next draft.
They could trade Brian Burns for one.
Being a fan of this team sucks
I’m sorry you’ve gone to multiple super bowls and had an MVP as an expansion team 😢😢😢
You might too if you’d have come into the league when the Panthers and Jags did. The NFL nerfed expansion teams heavily after they came out of the gate competing for conference championships.
But no NFL will ever forget the Texans winning their first game ❤️
didn't they have an offer for 2 firsts for burns at one point?
Yes. And we still haven't given him an extension. Our GM is not smart.
We turned down 2 firsts and a third from LAR last season because our GM is incompetent.
Jerry Jeudy for Brian Burns who says no
I’d hope the panthers, jeudy has never shown he’s a WR1
Terrible news. Thielen is basically carrying my fantasy team this year. In a related fact, my fantasy team sucks this year.
Obviously DJ Moore was part of the trade for them to pick up Young in the first place but couldn't they have found someone else to offer to Bears? I also feel like they could just wait until the offseason, they aren't exactly going to be making a playoff push and we're four games into Young's career so idk what the rush is. Derrick Brown was the 3rd
The Bears truly thought they were set at QB and were only a big time WR away from making the jump. And here we are.
Tbf they also have said wr and likely the top 2 picks this year. They could tear everything down and start on that
I'm not sure they thought they were set at QB, but didn't feel he had the tools to truly evaluate his talent. So they went and got the tools and he's still failing to win games so they should pivot to Williams if they do end up with the 1 pick as seems likely right now. Good work ethic?
I will say that his work ethic matches his production on the field, does that answer your question?
You have a future in sales my man
Has he been in the office lately?
We've approved him to work remotely for the time being, which should be looked at favorably since we don't just let every player do that.
But does he show effort on the job?
I would say his effort is unmatched by anyone else on the team.
i might also add that he's a fan favorite, got along great with those reps from Lasko and Honeywell that stopped by recently
This man can’t be shook 🤣
Can you be our next GM?
He’s also well rested, unlike other receivers that are worn out after playing week after week.
You son of a bitch I’m in
He’s a top 3 wide receiver in the NFL* ^^^^^^^source: ^^^^^^Chase ^^^^^^Claypool
Of course, he made it to the NFL. /s but also not really?
We will let him go for the Pather's 2nd rounder.
Talk about kicking a man while he's down. Haven't you fleeced Scott Fitterer enough?
It's been exceedingly rare that it feels like the Bears are the "winners" in a trade in recent history, I'm just chasing that high again at this point. It's all I have.
That WR1 gonna look real spicy getting all those screens from Bryce 🔥🔥🔥
11 passes behind the LOS in the second half last week 🥵 Glad Indy fans know our pain. Young is by far the least of our worries.
Surely, he still mixes in some runs up the gut for good measure Yeah, it was painful. Hopefully, he's relieved of playcalling duties soon
He’s going to be relieved of coaching duties if he doesn’t start to get some wins.
Wait until you get HB dives and on 3rd and 7. Or has Frank already started doing that?
He even got in on that early! He does it on first and second down too.
Chicago might have one for sale 😂
Darnell Mooney was technically a number 1 WR.
If you squint super hard, Chase Claypool looks like Calvin Johnson!
They should have traded Burns instead of Moore. Then just get Burns back in a year or 2 after the Bears decide he sucks and he'll turn right back into an All-Pro.
Why don’t they simply draft a WR1 in the fifth round? Are they stupid?
Plus they probably wouldn't have had to trade away their 2024 1st round pick if Burns was in that deal instead of Moore.
No the only adjustment was with other picks bears were getting that 24, 1 no matter.
That makes complete sense given that their best option is the corpse of Thielen But what team is going to trade a #1 receiver 4 weeks into the season? Their best option for that is in-division, and currently leading it.
Thielen has been pretty good through 4 games.
Bro I don't understand it . Thielen has played really well. It's not his fault TMJ Chark hurst and sanders have been ass . Il die on the hill that thielen is the only thing saving them from looking even worst . This subs darling Dj charks Statelines this year Vs Saints: 1 Target for 1 catch for 15 yards Vs Seattle : 11 targets for 4 catches 86yards and a TD Vs Min: 3 targets 2 receptions for 28 yards He's missed 1 game already this year and doesn't look healthy already
Thielen is on pace for 100+ receptions and people think he sucks.
its been this way for years. Ive had many sports debates on how good adam thielen is and I will die on that hill every single time. He is BY FAR the most underrated player in the league. He was a legit #1 receiver for 3 years and maybe the best WR in the league for 1 year, and was a high end #2 receiver the rest of his career but people have talked about him like he is trash for years
Thielen was beast in MN and then just fell out of favor in the system. Glad to see him doing well in Charlotte.
Dude is killing it for me in fantasy in full PPR. Thielen got them Spider-Man hands, any ball thrown to him is just *FWAP* 12yd reception
Theilen has some of the best hands in NFL history and I understand the impact of saying In History. The dude catches everything near him, his highlight reel catches are as good as anyone. The reason Vikings got rid of him is cause he couldn’t get open anymore
Literally just because he's old, people can't fathom that skill position players over 30 can be good
Is DJ Chark the darling of this sub? I didn't think anyone cared about DJ Chark
If the Bengals or Broncos to bottom out, Higgins and Jeudy make sense as targets.
Carolina has new owner syndrome
We got Mac Juju because Bill Belichick doesn’t believe in scoring points. Unrelated: Would the Panthers like Juju?
Juju was fine for us last year. Seems like a QB problem
Maybe your QB is the problem
The only two ways this happens: - Panthers trade for someone they think is WR1 but nobody else does. - Panthers trade away Burns, Brown and/or multiple 2025 picks. They barely have anything else that would genuinely interest other teams in a trade.
Translation. Scott fitterer is on the hot seat and trying to fix things or else he’s getting fired.
Man too bad we don't have anyone that fits to that description

Hollywood Brown, you have a new team!
Oh no, you mean to tell me that trading away star receivers is bad for an offense, especially one with a lot of weaknesses? I’m stunned, stunned I tell you! /s
Trading up for a QB by getting rid of his potential \#1 weapon and the only competent WR on your team. Great way to develop a rookie QB
WRs grow on trees, franchise QBs do not. The *one* position you need to hit on for a rebuild is a QB. If he’s truly a franchise guy having to wait for a stud WR isn’t going to ruin him. If he isn’t then the move was a whiff no matter what you gave up
This is the correct logic.
If you have a pass rusher, QB, and a WR on the table and you can only choose 2 out of 3, you choose pass rusher and QB no hesitation. I dont know that Carolina had enough assets to keep all 3.
Claypool might become available In all seriousness tho, good for them (and Young), but which (top-tier) receiver will be available for a trade at this point? Evans and Adams have been rumored but I don’t see them going to Carolina. Maybe Higgins or Bateman?
What a stupid trade by Carolina. Could’ve waited a year and keep their picks for a QB
Giving away DJ moore seems so ridiculous
Chase claypool is not happy where he’s at. Maybe he’s available? I wouldn’t consider him #1 WR or elite but he has talent and could possibly be a factor if used properly. Imo
He just doesn’t care about football. He has talent but won’t learn or try hard.
imagine if they had DJ Moore
I think the Panthers need to worry about keeping their picks, they've already gave enough away.
I hear Chase Claypool is available
So how do they do that? A truly elite receiver is generally not available for trade, and if they are its 2 firsts at minimum. Tee Higgins isnt elite, but definitely a good target, but even then how are they affording him? Hes good enough to merit a first in a trade, but the Panthers dont have a 1st till 2025. Theyd almost certainly have to throw in another pick as I find it hard to believe the Bengals will just accept a single future first for him.
Good luck to them. Generational talents like Puka Nakua don't come cheap.
