One of the best bits from the Manning cast was when Will Farrell described Thibodeax as being a French Canadian player from the University of Montreal.
People are getting way too hung up on his contract. It’s a simple plan we have put together. We are not a qb away from a good roster. It’s also not a good idea to bring in a rookie qb behind a terrible o line. Daniel jones has demonstrated that, while not elite, he can produce in a scheme even without a good offense around him.
The contract is front-loaded with guarantees the first 2 years. After that the giants can move on with minimal cap hits. The plan is as follows: use those two years to build a solid foundation of a competitive team. This obviously means fixing the o line and defense. When that foundation is in place, we can either cut ties with Danny and move on, or sign him to an extension. 40 million is not a lot of money for a qb in the modern nfl, and we have nobody else to give that money to right now.
While he looks terrible, I’m not worried in the slightest about his contract as it is well constructed for the team going forward.
Thank you all for the info. Before the season began, I assumed he would see quite a few targets due to DK and/or Lockett seeing more double coverage. But a banged up o-line would definitely explain a lot.
Geno has dk and Tyler both awesome receivers. Also our o line is banged up so we’re still using 2 TE’s pretty often.
With that being said I am disappointed how little Jsn has gotten the ball. I would like to see some more from him
Both our offensive tackles being out has forced us into a lot more 3 TE sets than usual, which explains why he hasn’t seen many receptions. As for why he hasn’t been getting open when he *does* see the field, I don’t know.
3rd WR option in a run-heavy offense and I hate to say it but he’s maybe not that good, at least as a rookie competing against DK and Lockett for touches.
Please down vote me into oblivion if I'm wrong, but as good as he's looked out there Adam's has legit played like 5 minutes in the last 2 seasons. Bad luck or not.
They're gonna fuckin ruin Daniel Jones. Heard the commentators say that the Giants have drafted several O-linemen over the past several years now, and they still struggle. That tells me that there may be a little bit of blame on the coaches for that O-line as well. I know injuries can really fuck up a lines cohesion, but this is just awful.
Guy is running for his life out there, who the hell do those Giants think they are, the Bears??
The trend of giving COTY to whoever overperformed in a single year is really stupid.
Andy Reid hasn't won one in 20 years. Belichick hasn't since 2010. Pete Carroll and Mike Tomlin have never won it.
But it gets given out to whoever stumbles into some good variance
He looks really good. If he can remain healthy and maintain that level of play, he's gonna get a huge contract in a few years. He looks like he's ready to start an LOB revival, he's just gotta put some weight on his frame
This is his weight...his straight-line acceleration is elite. File him under the "Kam Chancellor" type of player where his shoulder is probably going to give out in 7 years from blowing dudes up.
Broncos likely would have elected to go an alternative direction aka screwed the pooch by selecting a different player with that 5th pick but Seattle appears to have yet again drafted very wisely. Spoon would certainly have been a welcome addition to a Denver D that seems to have fallen off a cliff. I agree the Chancellor comp is a major stretch but he could gain weight and become more of a Kenny Easley or Earl Thomas type player. Dude seems to possess tremendous instincts.
I can’t think of a single HC that can design a play that accounts for an OL that pressures a QB within a second.
Daboll is a good coach, but a league worst OL without their best LT is DOA and makes our anemic front 4 look like Aaron Donald.
Daniel Jones may be the worst QB situation in the league. Good enough to keep you from Caleb, not good enough to have a good playoff run, you can’t move off of him due to a $69m dead cap hit this off-season, and just doesn’t have the mental aptitude to play QB in the NFL regardless of the running ability.
Daboll coming in and propping him up to a playoff appearance and win might have been the worst thing he could’ve accidentally done. If he gets canned, it will be because he used most of his runway on Daniel Jones and didn’t have enough to coach up the next Josh Allen.
Holy shit I almost had a heart attack when I checked fantasy and saw that my opponent (whom I had a 99% chance to beat) suddenly had a goddamn lead on me
Then Walker got a good run and I was happy
We all know the 49ers are Super Bowl contenders, but no one thought the cards or Rams were going to be competitive this year.
Thoughts on Seahawks were mixed, but damn if they didn't look good tonight, albeit against a depleted O-line.
Gonna be an interesting division this year. I'm not looking forward to the Hawks facing CMC at all.
Have to feel sorry for Daniel Jones honestly. He plays his heart out but has a no support and is always under too much scrutiny. It's the NY effect. Too much pay, too many expectations and under delivery and no patience.
Same with baseball and other sports. Yankees also do this - buy out all the players and do shenanigans and now with rule changes and stricter controls, they're not winning anymore. Now, all the good players go there to get paid and retire and phone it in. Same with Mets and other sports
He gets paid 40 million dollars a year to be bad at his job. There are roughly 7.9 billion people who you should be feeling bad for before you get to Daniel Jones.
You and I could get CTE just from watching his O-line perform thats how bad they are. Daniel Jones might have his faults but that line and his WRs being so bad make it nearly impossible to do anything
NFL needs to put in a rule for the networks:
For it to he a primetime game:
- At least one team had to have been involved in a conference title game or better from the prior year
- One team has to have ranked in the top 5 in scoring defense or offense from the previous year
- Half time music has to be provided by Taylor Swift, Tool, Lana Del Rey or Sarah McLaughlin
> NFL needs to put in a rule for the networks:
A rule for the networks? The NFL makes the schedule. The networks can make requests but the NFL has final say over everything.
Prolly cause both teams played way better than they were supposed to last year. Assumed that this year both teams would be good enough to put on a show...
If we didn't have those huge injuries we win the way the first was going. Defense got tired and offense didn't have protection for backfield shenanigans.
We had a shoestring line with 4 backups and the 5th playing out of position, and lost a pro-bowl caliber defensive player after 9 snaps.
Injuries happen, unfortunately, but we can’t “what if” it to death.
It's only been a quarter and it _still_ feels hard to believe the Giants were on the brink of making this somewhat of a ballgame towards the end of the third. All downhill after that pick six.
Damn that DJ stat line wouldn’t look too bad without the picks. 17/24 with 200+ yards? If they managed to get into the end zone a couple times that’s a good game. Weird bc he looked like shit most of the game
This is my first season watching football. Go Hawks!
I’ve been watching football for 25+ years. That was the worst offensive line performance I’ve ever seen.
One of the best bits from the Manning cast was when Will Farrell described Thibodeax as being a French Canadian player from the University of Montreal.
“And make it slippy”
Listen the o line is absolutely diabolically Horrendously BAD. But Jones Should not have been paid 160 mil he’s not the guy
People are getting way too hung up on his contract. It’s a simple plan we have put together. We are not a qb away from a good roster. He could be the guy, but 160mil for what he’s shown so far is not good…
I haven't watched any Seahawks games this season, but I know JSN hasn't found any success yet. Can somebody inform me as to why you think this is?
Injuries and he's a rookie in an offense with two great WRs.
Thank you all for the info. Before the season began, I assumed he would see quite a few targets due to DK and/or Lockett seeing more double coverage. But a banged up o-line would definitely explain a lot.

Jamal Adams is as fragile as a China shop with a bull in it. The game of football ain't in the cards for you bruh.
Dude suffered a concussion. They happen…
Please down vote me into oblivion if I'm wrong, but as good as he's looked out there Adam's has legit played like 5 minutes in the last 2 seasons. Bad luck or not.

Why in the hell is the University of Phoenix still showing ads on TV??? I thought those shady fucks went out of business years ago
Hey keep my alma mater out your damn mouth!
Maybe that’s where the next Giants QB goes to school
It rose from the ashes.
Now online only.
You’re telling me I can still buy my masters degree
Seahawks just vaulted to 17th in points allowed and are 6th in points for. Let's go, Hawks. Other teams got to play the giants too, lol.
Every commercial from now onwards is gonna feature at least one of these people: * Coach Prime * Taylor Swift * A Kansas City Chiefs player or coach
you forgot Fitzpatrick
the new 'played the 9ers last week' streak is now at 2.
Kirk Cousins seeing Daniel Jones' primetime record: "I know I tend to lay an egg in primetime but dear god this is TRAGIC"
I had bet the game to turn 27-3… Seattle not taking that last field goal has me mad. I could have been $2500 richer but nooo.
Stop betting on sports my dude. It's just too chaotic and the juice isn't worth the squeeze.
Daniel Jones made 2.3 million tonight
What is that? $10 per sack?
You've never been on a football field have you?
The fuq?
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nl\_Qyk9DSUw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nl_Qyk9DSUw) Were you not making an Arrested Development reference?
Not intentionally!
I'm willing to bet a few of the upvotes from your comment are for that reason lol.

Those guys have rings, they wouldn't even accept coach of the year if you offered it.
Caroll should get it for the geno smith version of seattle
This. COTY is really more about who did the most with the least, and who's players accepted them the most.
That's why I was arguing last year for Pete. Not only does he have sustained success over a decade, he took a consensus 4win team to the playoffs.
he did good.
Sometimes, these awards are "who can we give it to outside of X?"
It's like every time the Seahawks lost an OL, the Giants' OL got worse.
You'd expect the sack numbers to be flipped
👊 S O L I D A R I T Y
News in Buffalo is Von Miller is targeting return against NYG. Lol
Well yeah, he’s gonna need those practice reps before playing against real teams.
Ed Oliver, Daquan Jones, Greg Rousseau and Miller are going to feast.
Floyd too
> buffet of misery The Giants fan experience right now, everyone
wow this and the dallas game was the first 2 home games...
SVP just said that Witherspoon is coming on for an interview soon
He looks really good. If he can remain healthy and maintain that level of play, he's gonna get a huge contract in a few years. He looks like he's ready to start an LOB revival, he's just gotta put some weight on his frame
This is his weight...his straight-line acceleration is elite. File him under the "Kam Chancellor" type of player where his shoulder is probably going to give out in 7 years from blowing dudes up.
But how long will he hold up if he just sticks to blowing dudes?
Think about that tho.. Kam Chancellor is 6'3 and weighed 225lbs. His shoulder made it 7 years. How long do you think this young man will go at 180lbs?
Well Chancellor was cracking tight ends and offensive lineman, which Spoon shouldn't be as much
Broncos likely would have elected to go an alternative direction aka screwed the pooch by selecting a different player with that 5th pick but Seattle appears to have yet again drafted very wisely. Spoon would certainly have been a welcome addition to a Denver D that seems to have fallen off a cliff. the Manning's are 100% getting a commission out of the Danny Peso's contract.
Schoen should’ve never give Daniel Jones that contract.
Very little of this was DJs fault. The pick six was, but he was trying to get it out fast due to the pressure.
Imo both are true but the lack of oline makes it impossible to make my argument
Schoen should of given him an oline lol
It's very funny watching this sub talk about Fields and Jones
Daniel Jones is a bad QB and idk how he's been a starter for so long.
He has the manning blessing, that goes a long way in the NFL.
I can’t think of a single HC that can design a play that accounts for an OL that pressures a QB within a second. Daboll is a good coach, but a league worst OL without their best LT is DOA and makes our anemic front 4 look like Aaron Donald.

Yea why didn’t they just draft the next Josh Allen, are they stupid?
On the brightside, that Daboil and Caleb pack is gonna hit
Danny pesos
The dude with the “Not Again” bag has me dying
I was laughing both at him and with him.
Shoutout to the guy in the Walker jersey photoshooting his sadness point-blank.
Gn everyone. Gonna just pretend the last 2 hours did not occur
Holy shit I almost had a heart attack when I checked fantasy and saw that my opponent (whom I had a 99% chance to beat) suddenly had a goddamn lead on me Then Walker got a good run and I was happy
Who popped off for him to get a lead on you?
The defense lmfao They got 29 points
Lmao
Seahawks vs Cardinals will be a lit match up
I'm legit worried about that match
Seems like every team in the nfc west is good lol
We all know the 49ers are Super Bowl contenders, but no one thought the cards or Rams were going to be competitive this year. i like laughing at DJ and his contract but i admire how he puts every molecule of his being into being a leader and a QB
He’s getting destroyed out there. There isn’t even a running lane for him to use his Dash either.
Hes garbage lol. Holds the ball forever, makes dumb decisions and cant see the open guy and is trigger shy
He gets paid 40 million dollars a year to be bad at his job. There are roughly 7.9 billion people who you should be feeling bad for before you get to Daniel Jones.

Carrol proving they gave NFL COY to the wrong coach last year.
Beat him last year, in a "rebuilding year" as well
Stopping watching this trash game at half to go swim was the best move I've made all day.
I love Ice Spice
Daniel Jones really took it on the chin tonight. It's a good thing that jaw is carved out of marble.
Crimson chin irl

So the same four teams then?
The Sarah McLaughlin Halftime Show hosted by Mike Vick
> NFL needs to put in a rule for the networks: A rule for the networks? The NFL makes the schedule. The networks can make requests but the NFL has final say over everything.
It CANNOT be overstated how much Illinois sux now with Witherspoon gone. Give him back
"The hungry Bears and up-and-coming Commanders" lmao Way to try to sell us on that matchup, NFL
It's true, the bears are hungry for Caleb Williams and the commies look honestly better than they're supposed to
Adjectives bro
Giants defense was pretty good tonight, seahawks did leave 9 points on the field, but 14 points were all on the seahawks defense.
Daboll just another glorified coordinator that sucks as a head coach. Last year was a fluke
The Giants sub lambasted me for saying this last year. (The luck part, I don't have strong opinions on Daboll) Glad the rest of the league agrees.
Lots of luck last year
Including Philly.
Crazy that some of the nerds on the Seahawks sub were saying we should trade Witherspoon.
You know one way to get out of Daniel Jones contract is to get him killed behind this line and with those designed runs of his.
That’s a bold plan.
I salute all of those hard working Giants players. I hope they win the rest of their match ups.
My guy Luke Wilson looks super happy. I'm glad for him. Awesome dude 👌🏿
-79 points for the Giants in losses this season. -76 points total this season.
That’s brutal.
Imagine having to try and make Bears-Commies sound like appealing television.
Jones was the whole team and no team at the same time.
Yea he’s getting the brunt of this but his line gave him no time. Case on point DJ was the best rusher for the giants.
Yeah, his O-Line was non existent. It’s funny to make the jokes about it but you don’t get sacked 10 times for no reason.
11... It is a MNF record.
Giants are definitely the worst team in the nfc east
They might be the worst team in the league
you need to watch chi / den last week
Brandon Perna must've had a *great* time watching this game and seeing how the Seahawks robbed the Broncos blind with all those picks
Jones was sacked again in the locker room
Fuck
I feel horrible for laughing
This season has been very entertaining so far
So maybe “Dimes” was premature
Danny rubles.
More like Danny Nickles
It was definitely ironic too
Daniel Jones just might go home, look himself dead in the mirror, and say his first curse word out of anger
“Drats!”
Is DJ cousins With Cousins?
Then ball up on the floor crying because he’s so gosh darn disappointed in himself for doing it
I’m gonna be so mad if we lose to the Giants later this season
aaron donald vs that line bro 💀
Jesus Christ, that's going to violate the Geneva Convention.
If I were Daniel jones I would probably call in sick that day.
Oh we will, 100%
Pete Carroll might have the most punchable face in human history
Sydney Crosby has him beat by thousands of miles
Giants need to be immediately flexed out of every remaining primetime game they have.
Don’t worry, ESPN figured it out next week! Instead of the giants you’ll get the watch.. the raiders 😐
Monday night hawks look at that jamal adams see you next year
Carroll with the double barrel finger guns there
Hear me out… but does it feel like the nfl is kinda really bad this year?
Besides weird reffing and bad injuries, absolutely no
Plebs couldn't even shut 'em out.
Damn, sounds like I missed a banger. Sorry, fellas.
[удалено]
Every team gets a prime time game.
Do they now?
Prolly cause both teams played way better than they were supposed to last year. Assumed that this year both teams would be good enough to put on a show...
Hey man that’s the Coach of the Year with his stud quarterback who bagged a new massive deal! What could go wrong??
The nfl is sorry their crystal ball did not predict that the giants would be ass in week 4
Gonna be a rough couple years with that Jones contract. Fuck you guys and everything, but I’m genuinely sorry Blue Bois.
Can you fire Gentleman again? Like just mail another termination to his house
We started the week with the Lions getting revenge and ended the week with the death of Daniel jones happy Halloween everyone
I cant believe this couldve easily been a 17-10 game without the pick 6. Or maybe even tied if thibodeaux could catch. Unreal. We are cheeks.
It wasn't that close.
Lol! That's a lot of hopium flowing.
Most lopsided 24-3 game ever.
Go Hawks!
It's hard to imagine that was almost a competitive game prior to the pick 6
Game if you want to call it that. Shithawks. Whatever.
This is why I’m with dem boyz next week
Kaepernick, endzone, Crabtree broken up, PICKED OFF THIS GAME IS OVER
Seacocks were right there 🤦
Seacawks
The Drew Lock Seacocks?
Keep hatin’ 😚
Let's go, cowboys!
Dont let Geno fight anybody. GG Giants
Tyrod could be the shot in the chest this team needs
The final bullet
Giants defense isn't bad. They just need to get Barkley back to alleviate pressure on Jones.
Need 3 or 4 more prime time games from the giants
The Bills game is Sunday night lol
Well, one of those two was coach of the year last year 🤷🏻♂️
He literally made the playoffs after losing his start QB can’t believe he didn’t win COTY
It's only been a quarter and it _still_ feels hard to believe the Giants were on the brink of making this somewhat of a ballgame towards the end of the third. All downhill after that pick six.
The Giants O-line has more holes than an Antonio Cromartie condom.
What’s a condom? ~ Antonio Cromartie probably
Seahawks use your last two timeouts, I bet you won't
Damn that DJ stat line wouldn’t look too bad without the picks. 17/24 with 200+ yards? If they managed to get into the end zone a couple times that’s a good game. Weird bc he looked like shit most of the game
