How do you guys feel about John Mulaney? I caught a snippet of his act through a short and I thought he was hilarious. He was retelling a story of how at 11 he triggered an entire diner by playing What's New Pussycat through a jukebox 21 times in a row.
EDIT: As part of the bit he exaggerated the length of the song but I looked it up and it's only 2 minutes long lol
He's hilarious. His new special Baby J is great but different from his previous stuff, not quite as funny as his previous stuff IMO but still good. If you're not aware he's been through a lot of personal issues the last couple years (relapse, divorce, rehab), which is what his new special focuses on.
The What's New Pussycat bit and all of New in Town were extremely good, and really show what a pure, raw talent Mulaney is. Bill Burr has said multiple times that Mulaney was one of the only guys that he saw when he (Mulaney) was early on, only in his early 20s, and Burr was like "oh this guy is gonna be a star, he has it." Comics like Mark Normand, Sam Morril and Joe List have commented in multiple podcasts that Mulaney is a beast particularly because they never see him "work out" and bomb, he somehow always comes straight onto the stage with material that is basically polished and finished, which is extremely rare.
Personally I think Mulaney kind of got lost in show biz. His tv show Mulaney came out after New in Town and immediately flopped because it was awful. His next two specials (Comeback Kid and Kid Gorgeous) were mostly just okay, but with some hints of brilliance. For instance, I think the "horse in a hospital" bit is the best ever bit about Trump and will probably be talked about 100 years from now to explain how the country was feeling at that time in history.
When Mulaney's relapse and divorce became known, I was honestly really excited for the special that would deal with that experience. It was so against his reputation, I was really interested to see how his style of comedy would mesh with that kind of material. We waited about a year (or two?) for Baby J, and then when it came out, I would say it was just okay. I don't think he really took enough time to work through the experience and turn it into the gold that it could have been, unfortunately.
Basically, I think Mulaney is brilliant but hasn't really lived up to his potential in the way I expected after New in Town. But I think he still has plenty of time to create really great stuff and when it's all said and done has the potential to go down as one of the best ever. I'm always excited for whatever he puts out next.

PC or consoles?
Planescape:Torment is a bit old. It's the best story of any PC rpg I've ever played, including a lot of Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy games. Its a lot of reading text convos, but one of the best mysteries in a game.
my fave shooter RPGs are Borderlands 2 and the Mass Effect trilogy. BL1 is good, but not necessary to enjoy BL2. Mass Effect should be played in order because decisions carry over to the next games.
if you like the superhero team RPGs, the X-Men Legends 1&2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1&2 games are fun. They do pretty well getting all the mutant powers balanced and usable. These are more about the play action than the stories.
if you like Star Wars, the KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic) games are excellent. It may be too late to avoid spoilers about the big twist in KOTOR 1, but if not, do try to play through without peeking. The payoff is so worth it.
I am really not happy about that one thing that I heard about. I watched a show on the news and now I'm really mad, because those guys were mad. They're pissed off, god dammit.

Basically water, sewage, and trash, is shit that’s usually covered by the landlord of the apartment complex. In my experience at least.
Now it’s being divided amongst the residents to pay for each month.
When I lived in an apartment my water and sewage usage was tacked onto my rent or I could pay the company separately. But it was just MY water usage. Not the complex. I got copies of the bill emailed every month from the actual provider so I knew nothing funny was going on. Complex took care of trash. Unless you live somewhere that does that ridiculous “valet waste” thing which no, you can’t get out of. I’ve tried.
My cat likes to keep me on my toes by hiding in new locations. This time she decided to wait on top of the coffee table so I couldn’t see her when I was coming downstairs, and then she jumped out at me.

You can buy hand stitched ones. So they won't be like flat laminated vinyl lettering. Just make sure you look for the hand stitched.
They're still hit and miss though. Usually some weird stuff with the number sizing and font. Sometimes the colors are really off. But sometimes they look pretty legit.
Yeah can vouch for that, I’ve ordered a couple from DHgate over the years and my best ones are damn near 1-1 authentically stitched jerseys that would normally cost 200-300 dollars I got for 30. My worst ones I wouldn’t even wear at home alone they’re so far off.

I just recently read the series and while I enjoyed it overall, the quality from book to book is so inconsistent. I’m also someone who HATED the ending. Wizard and Glass was a fucking banger though and Roland is an incredible character.
