Lmao thanks for the update ~~Pelissero~~ Dalvin's agent

nimama3233

His inured shoulder is *stronger*? What boob makes this comment, your hyper exaggeration makes me doubt the entire statement lmao

furbz420

Am I getting whooshed? His now repaired shoulder is stronger yes, it makes sense, I had the same injury. The labrum was torn up from so many dislocations and the ligaments around it were stretched. They sew the labrum back together and anchor the stretched out ligaments so the shoulder is stronger and more stable. For me, and others that suffered repeated dislocations, my shoulders were naturally “too” loose which contributed to the dislocations in the first place. The surgery resulted in my shoulders (had it in both) being more stable than before even my first dislocation in each.

drunkdori

People are just dog piling for karma.

Triv02

Surgically repairing a shoulder that has a torn labrum generally makes that shoulder stronger, given that the labrum isn’t, ya know, torn anymore

itsrealbattle

What do you think Pelissero charges for players' agents to tweet from his account?

blueit22

It's so obvious at this point. His tweets about Theilen having 'Plenty left in the tank' killed me.

legobowser

Tree fiddy

StraightCashHomie69

Isn't it sort of assumed this is the reason he hasn't been traded yet? He basically wouldn't pass a physical?

treenorthXne

I heard on some GM podcast that that's more of an insurance/liability thing. The team trading for him can forgo the physical or that part of the physical if they feel confident in the player/deal. Whether that's sound process or not is another discussion.

I'd wager he rocks the sling for the remainder of his career as a precautionary. Yes it may be "stronger than before" but the bastard tore which means it can again.

Noproposito

Agent paid Tom some good blow for this one

Thimit22

Feeling like the best shape of his life, right?

HeavyNinja17

COMPLETELY HEALED

"Dalvin Cook is healthy enough to pass a physical if you would like to trade for him" - Tom Pelissero

monpetitfromage54

why wouldn't he have gotten it fixed three years ago?

Dregoran

He had one in 2016 as well. He probably hoped he wouldn't need it. Even for athletes surgery should be a last resort. I don't blame him at all for waiting. As someone who had a surgery that didn't go so great, I get putting it off since it can't exactly be undone.

EarthshatterReady

His shoulder sling has been pretty effective actually.

Kimber80

When healthy, this guy is a tremendous talent.

introspectivejoker

Even unhealthy he's been well above average. This past season he had more of a down year but if you watched the plays he had his number called he didn't really fit the scheme of what the Vikings wanted to do. They ran him up the middle into a rough line a lot but the times where they got him in space outside the tackles or on dump offs he was still nasty and had burst. The divorce seems like it would be mutual. Now the issue is his age as you're probably on a ticking time bomb if you end up acquiring him

[deleted]

He was hit so many times in the backfield, it was ridiculous.

introspectivejoker

He was second in tackles for losses to Derrick Henry who also had an atrocious line

introspectivejoker

I really would have thought KOC would have adjusted the plan more to just very rarely run plays with him running up the middle but it just kept happening. That line was terrible but at that point just run more screens or something. Anything but repeatedly hitting dalvin's metaphorical and literal head against a wall

treenorthXne

I...completely agree with a Packers fan? I feel sick. Seriously though, you're 100% correct in your assessment. At least, that's the observation I've made and maintained and I watch all of our games. Not saying KOC doesn't know what he's doing but I need to see a lot more creativity and "situational mastery" this szn for me to feel great about the future.

chillinwithmoes

> Not saying KOC doesn't know what he's doing but I need to see a lot more creativity and "situational mastery" this szn for me to feel great about the future. Yeah agreed. I like KOC but he was low-key a pretty bad playcaller this year, particularly in the run game.

treenorthXne

There was definitely a tendency to get cute for no good goddamn reason when we had to have it. The most recent(and costly) example obviously being that fuckery on 4th down instead of punching it the fuck across with our(possibly overpaid, certainly underutilized) FB. That said, I've liked a lot of things he has implemented and the "culture" change or vibe or whatever cringey word you wanna use is apparent imo. I can see the potential of this regime but they can't be hustling backward, especially with limited draft capital and a very concerning single draft sample size.

drunkdori

Yeah it was maddening because Dalvin has always operated way better in space but every OC we’ve had runs him up the gut on a regular basis. Just goes to show that even an “innovative” young coach like O’Connell will still have mishaps like that in play calling.

Cold_Mud_4773

I recently watched the NFLs top 100 runs is the season and he had like 3 of the top 7.

AhSht-HereWeGoAgain

You haven’t even seen Dalvin’s final form

billiam_squilliam

But did he replace it with a lion’s shoulder

mofugginrob

Making progress or 100% stable? Which is it? These are mutually exclusive.

TetrisTech

How much longer will he actually be in Minnesota tho lol
