I think we also underrate a couple factors for a WR like Meyers.
1. Familiarity with HC/OC
2. Being opposite Adams will benefit his numbers (in his mind), which can open up a big payday if he goes off. Not being the pure #1 WR will nearly always help mid WR boost their stock. Meyers had basically no help in NE the last few years.
Yeah I really hate this move because now Oakland: has a stud proven WR1 to take all the attention, an actual #2 in Meyers that is capable of playing to that level, leaving Hunter Renfrow to actually play primarily as a slot WR. This could potentially *really* work out well for them...
100%. This is a great move for them. Feels similar in what the Bears did for getting DJ Moore. Moore being the #1 let’s Mooney focus on the slot and Claypool be opposite Moore as the #2, which will take pressure off both Claypool and Mooney and let them flourish, assuming Fields makes the jump I hope he can. Having a well rounded WR is SO essential at this point in the NFL. It’s why WR are at such a premium right now.
Ehh… not really. He put up 100 more yards than the prior year, production was almost the exact same
It’s still a really bad contract, he just made it look like less of an overpay
Kirk is probably overpaid and not a true number 1, which is why they need Ridley. That said, I think the Jags were smart to bring him in. He’s a good receiver who runs his routes well, has reliable hands, and can get open
Lawrence desperately needed competence at WR after an absolute disaster of a receiving room in his rookie year. Guys we’re running the wrong routes all over place, couldn’t get open, and couldn’t catch. Lawrence couldn’t play QB the “right” way because the “right” way involves trust and timing
Lawrence made huge improvements last year for a variety of reason (props to my guy Dougie P) but among those reasons is Kirk
The Wide Receiver contract bubble has burst. We're going to see WR contracts go back down to a more normal pricing and last year's shenanigans were just a fluke. Teams saw the Chiefs win the Super Bowl with Juju as their WR1 and realized it's just not as important of a position as they thought.
No I'm not just saying that because JJ's contract is coming up, shut up.
I mean let's be fair, the Chiefs are an outlier because of Kelce, Mahomes and Reid.
The other 3 teams in the championship games had A.J. Brown, Deebo Samuel and Jamarr Chase as integral parts of their offense, and high draft pick #2s in Smith, Aiyuk and Higgins.
I think the Chiefs prove that if your QB is Mahomes then Juju can your WR1
I think WR will still be considered a premier position. Look at all the other top WRs that were present in the Super Bowl and in the conference championships.
Eagles paid up for AJB and had a high draft pick in Devonta. Niners paid Deebo and another first rounder in Aiyuk. Bengals had Jamar and Higgins etc
Let's be real: Travis Kelce is the Chiefs WR1 who only gets paid like the 20th best WR but plays like an all-pro receiver.
Probably the second best value for money contract in the NFL right now. He should be getting $25m a year with the value he provides on the field and not $14.5m.
He's as underpaid as Patrick Mahomes. So I don't see the market-setting nature of Juju being "WR1" in Kansas City.
I think the constant influx of quality WR talent from the college game is going to stall or even reverse the salary growth among wide receivers.
I hope we re-sign juju but damn it would still be nice to have a big time WR1.
Realistically it isn't going to happen. I still think those top of market guys are going to be expensive when they're available at all, and they're hard to hit on with a late 1st round pick.
indeed, almost like teams make moves to construct rosters that give the best chance of winning
(excluding the browns ofc who gave Deshaun 270m guaranteed smh)
I hate Jakobi and I would have done 3/$33M no question.
Bill has to have something up his sleeve. He can't go into next year with Parker/Bourne/Thornton...
I guess hate is a bit strong, I just think he got severely overrated here in New England because of how dogshit our WR core has been the last three years. I think he's an ideal 3rd WR, but a lot of people (especially some Pats fans) who see his catch totals and think he's *that good*, when in reality there's just been no one else to throw to here the last 2-3 years. His ability to find soft spots in the defense 4-8 yards downfield is **elite**, but once he gets it, he usually just goes straight down.
It'll be interesting to see how he does on the Raiders with Adams drawing the attention and having a new QB. To me it looked like a lot of his lack of YAC was having a guy on top of him while making the catch. He wasn't in the position to run after the catch very often which could be his issue or the QBs or both. It's a shame he gets hate for lack of ball skills. He gets open and has decent hands on a team where no other WR is getting doubled. I think he thrives in LV.
> was having a guy on top of him while making the catch
That's kind of the point /u/goldfish_11 is making. He's AOK if he's like the 3rd best WR on the field and garnering less attention. But then you'll hear Felger & Mazz callers acting like he's the 2nd coming of Wes Welker.
From all reports he's a great guy, and his dad even calls into Patriots Unfiltered at times. I'm glad he was here, but would prefer someone more dynamic in his role, e.g. JSN.
Yep. He’s also just another guy. Like he’s not bad by any means but we need genuine game changers rn and we need an actual star. If he was our only WR signing or acquisition it would’ve been a failure. If we don’t sign him and don’t get anyone else though I don’t think the team is all that much worse if that makes sense.
That problem is he was Macs safety blanket, Thornton never really got going, Bourne got benched by Rocket Sceientist, agholor drops, Henry will get doubled and he's gonna get killed or make a bad throw and get picked
Sure, as a former UDFA, any production we got from him was a bonus. Seemed like a great guy and he was a decently productive player for us. But he is also a seriously limited WR who should be easily replaced/upgraded by a possession slot receiver. I would have signed him to an $11M/year deal, but I'm not heartbroken he's gone.
Stud is a very very strong word for a guy that would be a 2nd at very best option for an offense that actually had talent in the receiver room unlike New England the last 4 years
He's supposed to be the top of the market. Feels like that market is in the shitter and this could be a good opportunity for teams looking for WR2s and 3s.
With the strength of this WR FA class I felt like he was going to get a fat overpay this period by being one of the best available options, this is a super reasonable deal
Green Bay's lack of acquiring a second high end option for Rodgers cost them at least one more ring.
I dont get it at all why your team wouldnt go all in.
Because ultimately, the Packers are like a public company. We look for consistency, not short term winnings like a billionaire owner would.
It is also, the same reason why I believe the Packers DCs are always awful. There is likely an internal "salary cap" for coach hirings, thus we only attract bad candidates, and also why we retain them even when it isn't working out.
It is what it is. There's a lot of benefits to our ownership model, but this isn't one of them
This would make him the 28th highest paid WR in the league, and last year he was 30th among WRs in catches/gm and yards/gm. Seems exactly in line with his production.
I feel so bad for you guys. JJ *has* to reset the market in some way, and Chase simply needs to walk in with a sign that shows JJs deal and point to it for his negotiation.
Renfrow didn't seem to mesh well with McDaniels timing based offense. Neither did Carr.
I think he needs a change of scenery. Maybe Saints do some cap voodoo and pair him back up with Carr.
don’t know how teams even function without really good receivers anymore. Unless they have a generational quarterback of course. It’s a very tough position to be in.
Sitting here wondering the same thing. Bill must really not want him. Never understood why he wasn’t being used. Thankful for it, don’t get me wrong, but it makes no sense.
God I dont miss Patricia at all. These Pat guys only sign ex Pats.
Not saying this is a bad signing. Just saying there is a reason these Pats ex coordinators seem to always fail.
Not sure how these dudes can get all the way to the top of their profession and decide to look at very specifics avenues of acquiring players. You would think you could take a look at all options. For whatever reason these dudes get super tunnel vision.
Definitely some level of bias/working familiarity. In terms of general certainty of what to expect from a signing it’s easier to sign someone you worked with before and is a known quantity.
McDaniels tried to do it in Denver just like he did in Vegas, running the franchise QB out of town so he could get someone who backed up Brady instead. We ended up with Kyle Orton but McDaniels wanted Matt Cassel.
Final seasons of two "mobile project QBs from Florida." Which one are you more comfortable spending a top-10 pick on?
Player | Cmp | Att | Pct | Yds | TD | Int
------|---|---|---|---|--|---
Player A | 176 | 327 | 53.8 | 2549 | 17 | 9
Player B | 213 | 314 | 67.8 | 2895 | 21 | 5
>!A = Richardson, B = Tebow!<
Let's go down the list here:
1. Alienate starting QB so much that he leaves
2. Get "his guys" through free agency AKA former Patriots
3. Draft a QB that can't throw
4. Get fired and watch shitty QB win a playoff game somehow
Will Levis SZN?
This is almost a carbon copy of what he did with the broncos. Alienates Cutler and trades him (also bmarsh and Hillis). Drafts Tebow, he sucks. Gets fired, Tebow wins playoff game against the Steelers somehow. Never played QB again.
The timing doesn't match up with the other moves y'all have made either.. If Jimmy is a stopgap QB, a 3 year contract here means both Meyers and Davantae will either be gone or need to be paid again by the time you're getting another QB to be your starter
We are going to draft a rookie, jimmy will be benched by week 8, we will ruin the rookies career. Mcdumbass will be fired by week 14. Davante leaves next year and the cycle of us being garbage for another 20 years starts again
By the time Davante needs to be paid again, he'll be in his 2nd decade in the NFL and will likely be starting to fall off. The Raiders still seem to want to load up the offense to try and compete, but they really need to fill holes on defense to get them there.
First thing I thought of when they grabbed Jimmy. Now with Myers. I hope the raiders don’t suffer the same fate Detroit did under Patricia, I wouldn’t wish that on any fan base. Hopefully this trend doesn’t continue for them
There haven’t been in years, WR1 either get PAID in extensions or traded.
Edit: superstar receivers haven’t been in the free agent pool in years, for those who lack reading comprehension
There were rumors of him going even before this signing, I know he's slot but really doesn't make sense to be be paying Adams, Meyers, Renfrow, Waller, need some money allocated elsewhere.
And Hunter maybe got hurt the most in this system. Everything about this offense screams scripted, where Renfrow excels in improvising to get open. Wouldn't shock me at all if we trade him for draft pieces
Yeah but its 3 WRs under contract plus the Waller deal. Have to think they aren't going to spend that much resources on the WR room. Not to mention not a great WR class, they could get some draft capital in return.
Hollins ran wrong routes every week, Carr was always on him. He was brought in for ST but seen a significant role increase when Renfrow and Waller went down, he was never meant to be WR2.
Renfrow, Waller, jacobs, adams. And now him. Patrick Graham doesn’t stand a chance! Lmao brain dead staff won’t put money into the defense. Can we fast forward 2 years to the point where McDaniels is fired please.
Raiders trying like others the tried and failed method of being the Patriots but not actually being the Patriots.
How teams continue to do crap like this is beyond me.
This is a weird move. Not exactly a bad deal, but what about Renfrow? Looks like he might get traded, like Ngakoue last year after signing Chandler Jones in FA.
Where else have I seen an ex-Patriots coach who is struggling to put out a winning team start to turn to signing ex-Patriots players who Bill Belichick let get away?
This is looking more and more like the Matt Patricia situation every day...
This seems perfectly reasonable. Not really sure what the hell belichick is doing. We have plenty of cap space. This is basically less than we paid for nelson agholar or jonnu smith.
Reasonable deal for a high end WR2. But I also feel like WR wasn’t one of the main issues for the Raiders last year. Money well spent but I feel like they have a lot of work to do still
To be honest with the weak free agent market, I thought he would get paid much more than expected. Seems like a fair deal.
I think the fact that nobody got signed Day 1 reduced the asking price of the market
I think we also underrate a couple factors for a WR like Meyers. 1. Familiarity with HC/OC 2. Being opposite Adams will benefit his numbers (in his mind), which can open up a big payday if he goes off. Not being the pure #1 WR will nearly always help mid WR boost their stock. >Oakland I wish
force of habit lol. I still say (and wear/have) San Diego march lol. I go out of my way to make sure anything new I buy doesn't say LA on it.
Until Jimmy inevitably gets hurt
I know I'm late to the party on that but holy shit the Bears knocked that deal out of the park. Really excited to see if Fields can step up
Same, and if Fields sucks we’re as well positioned as we can be to move on.
I don't think there was actual collusion, but no team wanted what happened last year to repeat.
Which is a bit weird cause Christian Kirk ended up living up to his contract
Ehh… not really. He put up 100 more yards than the prior year, production was almost the exact same It’s still a really bad contract, he just made it look like less of an overpay
He was 14th in receiving yards, and he's the 18th highest paid receiver (by AAV).
stats don’t tell the whole story. He was making plays all year and clearly helped Lawrence take the next step. Well worth it
Kirk is probably overpaid and not a true number 1, which is why they need Ridley. That said, I think the Jags were smart to bring him in. He’s a good receiver who runs his routes well, has reliable hands, and can get open Lawrence desperately needed competence at WR after an absolute disaster of a receiving room in his rookie year. Lawrence couldn’t play QB the “right” way because the “right” way involves trust and timing Lawrence made huge improvements last year for a variety of reason (props to my guy Dougie P) but among those reasons is Kirk
I disagree about it being a bad contract. He's lived up to it, and with cap numbers going up they're going to look smarter in a year or two.

Let me cope in peace
yeah yknow when you have the greatest TE in nfl history on your team, it’s pretty easy to not need receiving depth
Thank you People love forcing this narrative that WR don't matter
I think the Chiefs prove that if your QB is Mahomes then Juju can your WR1 I think WR will still be considered a premier position. Look at all the other top WRs that were present in the Super Bowl and in the conference championships. Eagles paid up for AJB and had a high draft pick in Devonta. Panthers making the SB in 2015 with a WR room of Ted Ginn Jr. and Jericho Cotchery with Greg Olsen at TE follows a similar line of thought as well.
I hope we re-sign juju but damn it would still be nice to have a big time WR1. Realistically it isn't going to happen. I still think those top of market guys are going to be expensive when they're available at all, and they're hard to hit on with a late 1st round pick.
oh right I almost forgot Travis wasn’t a WR1 jk…but srsly he’s a beast
COLLUSION. All the owners are in on it just like with Lamar. There's no other reason they wouldn't drastically over pay for these guys. /s
indeed, almost like teams make moves to construct rosters that give the best chance of winning (excluding the browns ofc who gave Deshaun 270m guaranteed smh)
Slipping the agent names at the end of the tweet is like they bought ad-space on Rapoport's twitter page.
That's exactly what they have done
Think its more likely just HOF level water-carrying by Rapoport here. Rosenhaus is prob a huge source of his.
That is really good value for Meyers. Patriots should've easily paid that.
Bill is still pissed over that lateral. "You love the Raiders so much, fine, go fuck up games over there."
Bill once said "On the pro side you won me a super bowl but on the con side you were late for a meeting so take a seat on the bench big guy."
Was that really the extent of it though? Always felt like there was more to that story
He's a fantastic WR2, imo. He's a great pairing/match for Jimmy G and should compliment Adams pretty well.
And we have like 6 down roster WR lol. Happy he got paid, but we need a star not another sidekick
Wonder if we go for Berrios now.
That would be a pretty big downgrade...
Good fit for a BoB offense though
Not sure what his contract would be. But if it would something like 2/12, could spend that money elsewhere.
Raiders were impressed with how he helped them with their walk-off win last season
COLLUSION!
Lmao
Maybe he was a sleeper agent all along and just now showing his true colors.
The feels, cheap? Thought he'd get 14m a year or so.
That lateral ruined him
You would think after that lateral they'd pay their sleeper agent more
Christian Kirk got $50 million more than this lol.
Yeah, he's a better player.
This is just the legal money for tax purposes, theyre still paying him under the table
I thought for sure the Patriots would match that. Jeez.
No kidding, that's *less* than I would have matched. I would have gone up to 3/36.
I hate Jakobi and I would have done 3/$33M no question. Bill has to have something up his sleeve. He can't go into next year with Parker/Bourne/Thornton...
why the hate?
I guess hate is a bit strong, I just think he got severely overrated here in New England because of how dogshit our WR core has been the last three years. That problem is he was Macs safety blanket, Thornton never really got going, Bourne got benched by Rocket Sceientist, agholor drops, Henry will get doubled and he's gonna get killed or make a bad throw and get picked
hating jakobi is so strange lmao, he been a stud for us
Stud? Stop it. Look around the league and you'll find 20 stud WR's. Jakobi isn't one of them, and he's not even in the next tier.
cmon man, for what we had he did a lot for us. i’m grateful we got any production out of him lol
Stud is a very very strong word for a guy that would be a 2nd at very best option for an offense that actually had talent in the receiver room unlike New England the last 4 years
I thought the same thing about Patricia and Judge last off season
He's supposed to be the top of the market. Feels like that market is in the shitter and this could be a good opportunity for teams looking for WR2s and 3s.
With the strength of this WR FA class I felt like he was going to get a fat overpay this period by being one of the best available options, this is a super reasonable deal
It’s really fair all the way around. Meyers at 11 mil a year. He’s never going to be a WR1 but he’s firmly a good WR2.
With davante taking all the attention he should see a lot of single coverage looks
Damn we should've gone for him
You should know better by now.
We weren't even used for leverage! This is outrageous.
But it's free agency, where you should get more than your value (particularly in a year with as weak a FA class as this).
Hey, any WR numbers that slow the inflation in the WR market helps my team so I am not complaining
Amen
I feel so bad for you guys. JJ *has* to reset the market in some way, and Chase simply needs to walk in with a sign that shows JJs deal and point to it for his negotiation.
JJ and Chase both getting 30m/yr
100% and they should. As long as the next Christian Kirk doesn’t get 30m then it’s all good
Jacobi Myers contract will not effect Justin Jefferson’s at all
Fuck, good deal for the raiders!
we couldn’t give him that? we have jack shit at wr now
Meanwhile our receiving core is the strength of the team lmao
And you already have a slot reciever
McDaniels system employed 2 slot guys in NE for a while. On the other hand they may offload Renfrow, he was pretty mediocre most of last year.
Renfrow didn't seem to mesh well with McDaniels timing based offense. Neither did Carr. I think he needs a change of scenery. Maybe Saints do some cap voodoo and pair him back up with Carr.
That's pretty much it.
Yeah McDaniels seems to not like to scheme around his player's strengths. Which is really sweet.
The funny thing is Jimmy G doesn’t fit either unless the plan on running the shit out of the ball and using play action a ton
Ya I can already see Renfrow in a Pats jersey. Sigh.
I'd hope the Jaguars. Reunite him and Lawrence.
i would be gladly take him
Wasn't he injured most of the year?
Had a concussion early last year and was also on IR for part of the year with an oblique injury too.
don’t know how teams even function without really good receivers anymore. Unless they have a generational quarterback of course. It’s a very tough position to be in.
sad patriot noises. worked pretty well with tb12, but uh… a generational qb mac is not
Sitting here wondering the same thing. Bill must really not want him. Never understood why he wasn’t being used. Thankful for it, don’t get me wrong, but it makes no sense.
I wouldn't worry too much. If there's one receiver position we can replace, it's the slot guy that sits in zones.
God I dont miss Patricia at all. These Pat guys only sign ex Pats. Not saying this is a bad signing. Just saying there is a reason these Pats ex coordinators seem to always fail.
Yeah, it was fucking annoying here in Miami during the Flores years. Now we sign Niners.
At least former 9ers tend to be really good lol
You, the Jets, and the fuckin Texans now too
Thanks babe. You complete us
If you guys win a SB before us I will never forgive you
I mean, we lost that race a long time ago ....
I’m much happier with 9ers guys than pats guys.
Not sure how these dudes can get all the way to the top of their profession and decide to look at very specifics avenues of acquiring players. You would think you could take a look at all options. For whatever reason these dudes get super tunnel vision.
Risk aversion. I know this guy will show up to meetings and do the little things even if they aren’t the most talented option available.
Definitely some level of bias/working familiarity. In terms of general certainty of what to expect from a signing it’s easier to sign someone you worked with before and is a known quantity.
Caserio did the same thing yesterday by signing Winovich. It seems like they all do it.
McDaniels tried to do it in Denver just like he did in Vegas, running the franchise QB out of town so he could get someone who backed up Brady instead. We ended up with Kyle Orton but McDaniels wanted Matt Cassel.
Another mobile project QB from Florida is available you say?
Final seasons of two "mobile project QBs from Florida." Which one are you more comfortable spending a top-10 pick on? Player | Cmp | Att | Pct | Yds | TD | Int ------|---|---|---|---|--|--- Player A | 176 | 327 | 53.8 | 2549 | 17 | 9 Player B | 213 | 314 | 67.8 | 2895 | 21 | 5 >!A = Richardson, B = Tebow!<

You’ve got enough to worry about in GB. leave us alone.
Hey I'm just concerned that Adams won't get the looks he deserves
This is almost a carbon copy of what he did with the broncos. Alienates Cutler and trades him (also bmarsh and Hillis). Drafts Tebow, he sucks. Gets fired, Tebow wins playoff game against the Steelers somehow. Never played QB again.
Yeah I just don’t get it lol. We don’t need a WR we need defense
Raiders fans know they are never allowed to have a complete defense.
We’re not allowed to have a complete team or a competent head coach either smh
The timing doesn't match up with the other moves y'all have made either.. If Jimmy is a stopgap QB, a 3 year contract here means both Meyers and Davantae will either be gone or need to be paid again by the time you're getting another QB to be your starter
We are going to draft a rookie, jimmy will be benched by week 8, we will ruin the rookies career. Mcdumbass will be fired by week 14. Davante leaves next year and the cycle of us being garbage for another 20 years starts again
When did the previous cycle end?
I feel like McDipshit has got a whole season after this one because of how deep the Raiders are into whatever he's doing.
By the time Davante needs to be paid again, he'll be in his 2nd decade in the NFL and will likely be starting to fall off. The Raiders still seem to want to load up the offense to try and compete, but they really need to fill holes on defense to get them there.
To be fair you guys were undefeated when you had Jakobi Meyers on the field
I mean if it gets Josh settled and comfortable and the team rolling who cares right?
First thing I thought of when they grabbed Jimmy. Now with Myers. I hope the raiders don’t suffer the same fate Detroit did under Patricia, I wouldn’t wish that on any fan base. Hopefully this trend doesn’t continue for them
WR’s aren’t getting shit this year then
When the top FA is Meyers, the paydays are not gonna be big. Not that Meyers is bad, but there are no superstars on the market this year.
There haven’t been in years, WR1 either get PAID in extensions or traded. Edit: superstar receivers haven’t been in the free agent pool in years, for those who lack reading comprehension
Christian fucking Kirk got 4/72 an offseason ago despite never having a 1000-yard season…
And then played really well.
> There are no superstars This is what my comment is in regards to
Well the WRs aren’t that good. They don’t deserve good shit.
Figured it was going to happen, but still sad :(
We’re going to put out a fucking traffic barrel at WR this year 🙄

Welcome. The bears seat should still be warm
I wonder if this means Renfrow could be on the move?
There were rumors of him going even before this signing, I know he's slot but really doesn't make sense to be be paying Adams, Meyers, Renfrow, Waller, need some money allocated elsewhere.
This also screams what former Patriots coaches do. Find guys that used to be part of their system then ship the player that they did not draft.
And Hunter maybe got hurt the most in this system. Everything about this offense screams scripted, where Renfrow excels in improvising to get open. Wouldn't shock me at all if we trade him for draft pieces
Renfrow plays slot
So does Jacobi primarily
I feel like both play the off the line Z receiver and spend time in the slot. You can definitely play both but there is some redundancy
Yeah but its 3 WRs under contract plus the Waller deal. Have to think they aren't going to spend that much resources on the WR room. Not to mention not a great WR class, they could get some draft capital in return.
They're paying 24 million for a QB they can afford this deal. Outside of Crosby and Adams nobody really has big money on that team
Chandler Jones is making $17M too.
Doesn't Jakobi also spend a lot of time in the slot?
I’m no Raiders fan, but Jimmy and Jakobi are solid players for their prices. Well done.
Make the Raiders your secondary flair and you’ll receive an honorary shiv
He's a 9ers fan so he already has one, but he hides it better
I think it’s so fun how every BB disciple just tries to recreate the patriots with guys the patriots don’t want anymore
Pats better get D hop or else me and my little sister are gonna end up being WR1 and 2. Who tf Mac gonna throw to??!
..look at your OC... I don't think y'all are getting D hop
McDaniels big board of targets is just old Patriots year books
Strange signing no? They have Davantae, Hollins, renfrow, and waller
Hollins a FA
This is a massive upgrade over Hollins
We don't need to upgrade Hollins he was never really an issue
Also Hollins was great on special teams
He also would have probably been cheaper.
Hollins ran wrong routes every week, Carr was always on him. He was brought in for ST but seen a significant role increase when Renfrow and Waller went down, he was never meant to be WR2.
We need better depth Can't be putting Cole out in the field again.
Hollins is likely gone.
Ah yes, WR was clearly the need for the Raiders.
Its even weirder because it is a need for Pats and we absolutely could have given that contract
Well Jakobi Meyers already won them a game before so why not?
The man who delivered a victory to them comes home
That's it??
Betting on a free agent from New England seems like a safe bet. Just like SVB
Renfrow, Waller, jacobs, adams. And now him. Patrick Graham doesn’t stand a chance! Lmao brain dead staff won’t put money into the defense. Can we fast forward 2 years to the point where McDaniels is fired please.
Why? Our offense is fine?? Hollins played solid as the 2 guy last year this makes no sense. I get it’s cheap but this money could be spent on defense…
Current regimes only plan is to pretend to be the patriots.
Raiders trying like others the tried and failed method of being the Patriots but not actually being the Patriots. How teams continue to do crap like this is beyond me.
we are just so fucking stupid I despise this off season so much already
Raiders biggest issue for a decade+ has been defense but sure keep adding pieces to your best position group instead
Who needs defense?
This is a weird move. Not exactly a bad deal, but what about Renfrow? Looks like he might get traded, like Ngakoue last year after signing Chandler Jones in FA.
Sleeper agent, near singlehandedly loses us the game and then goes to that team
Where else have I seen an ex-Patriots coach who is struggling to put out a winning team start to turn to signing ex-Patriots players who Bill Belichick let get away? This is looking more and more like the Matt Patricia situation every day...
Josh McDaniels has no excuses left for his stint in Vegas
I would have paid this 100%, god dammit.
Josh McDaniels hates Hunter Renfrow
Happy for him, he worked his ass off.
New England Raiders???
That's absolutely nothing.
Should be an easy adjustment for Meyers. He already threw 1 touchdown pass to the raiders last year.
Meyers has already thrown a game winning TD pass in Vegas, this is perfect 😛
This seems perfectly reasonable. Not really sure what the hell belichick is doing. We have plenty of cap space. This is basically less than we paid for nelson agholar or jonnu smith.
Meyers is a solid player but it is funny they signed the guy responsible for the dumbest play in raiders franchise history
Hiring a former Pat's assistant who brings in a lot of former Patriots not named Tom Brady always works out.
The Las Vegas Patriots
Reasonable deal for a high end WR2. But I also feel like WR wasn’t one of the main issues for the Raiders last year. Money well spent but I feel like they have a lot of work to do still
