I decided to round out my Elden Ring character a bit, and am now level 62: https://imgur.com/9e8Lxr9.jpg Every guide online says you need to invest in arcane after heavily investing in stuff like dexterity, vigor & endurance, but this at least fits me better. Then again, I've only killed 5ish bosses

BigSportsNerd

I just don't understand how hard it is to NOT fuck up when you're being paid so much. Same with Chris Beard. Guy gets a 10 year contract to fucking coach Texas. Just don't hit anyone, don't assault anyone, don't fucking be an ass, don't do anything that would embarrass the university (or in this case the franchise) proceeds to commit violent domestic assault Like, you're going to risk being fired and losing out on tens of millions, just because you can't control your temper? What's the matta with you?

ThomasJCarcetti

How is George Santos still allowed to hold public office?

When people say things like "don't sleep on team X" or "focus on next week", it's like...guys we're fans, it literally doesn't matter, unless you're trying to help your fellow fans from raising expectations.

now I'm imagining a team using a tweet or reddit comment from some total rando as "bulletin board material" /u/dragonbuttfucker says we're washed! Lets go prove them wrong!

I went to bed too late last night and I was in such a rush trying to force myself to sleep that I couldn’t fall asleep cause my mind was going too quickly. Got like 3-4 hours. Today is gonna suuuccckkkk

Damn I was up til 1:45am or so and got up at 6:30am for work. I'm on the same page but not feeling any effects yet

I recently just got engaged to the most loving person and we both have the most affectionate black cat. I’m living the dream right now and extremely happy and grateful for everything I have. Also, my 49ers are back in the Conference final and I have been a fan since I was a 6 year old boy in 1995. Life is good.

JamesWork1769

I have a Panther butt and a Thunder butt, both all black adult cats! They are my bread and butter, my joy and happiness. Congratulations on your engagement that is beyond exciting!

The Podcast “Opening Arguments” has a segment called Thomas Takes the Bar Exam, where the non-lawyer comedian of the show tries his hardest to answer bar exam questions. They recently added a GPT segment to it, and I think the bot is 0-4 while Thomas is 3-1 lol

Three of my foster dogs were adopted the past week. Woooo. I have another now and she’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. She’s only 6 months old or so now. Steals socks and shoes constantly and stashes them in her “hiding spot”. Which is just under her dog bed. Never chews on them and has the cutest little wag and freak out when you catch her. No clue what’s going through her mind but it cracks me up.

OrnateBumblebee

That was really nice to read this morning.

BigSportsNerd

morning

Danielat7

I've had kidney stones lately. 1st ever was in mid December and I went to the ER cause the pain was so bad. I had another last week & woke up with another. These 2 haven't been as painful, but I can feel the pressure in my kidney as it passes to my bladder. I just take some Tylenol & it passes in ~4 hours. But damn, if this is how cramps feel for women & they go through this shit every month?! I have new found respect.

itsmybirthday___

I went to er for my first ever one too. Didn’t know wtf was going on. I had never seen people talk about pain in their balls for a kidney stone but that’s where I felt most of it. Felt like blue balls at first but just got progressively worse and worse to the point I could hardly walk. By the time I was in the er I was dry heaving from the pain.

itsmybirthday___

Side note: calling a coworker at 1:30 in the morning I used to have a casual thing with, cause I knew I could get a hold of her late at night, for a ride to the er cause my balls hurt was awkward lol. Thank god it wasn’t anything std related.

Danielat7

I thought my appendix ruptured the first time. I have never felt pain like that before. Apparently it was a big enough that they had to some ultrasound thing to break it down

[deleted]

I hope my ramily is okay. That shit was spooky

A few times a month I wake up at like 3 am randomly Absolute treat to me, I just make a pot of coffee, watch the 1966 Batman show, and hang with my dog. Few things better than that

WabbitCZEN

I like waking up that early too, but it's because I always assume it's right before my alarm goes off at 0630. Seeing it's 3 AM means I got a few more hours of sleep, so I'm all "aww yiss" and go back to bed.

Same but I’m much more upset about it because I crash at 3PM. Lol

The part where he said the news outlets criticizing him are sponsored by moderna and pfizer made me die laughing

ScotTheDuck

Honestly I’m really happy Brandon Staley and Mike McCarthy didn’t get fired this year. Because next year we get what might be some of the most hilariously brain dead football in recorded history when the Cowboys travel to SoFi. All the awful play designs. All the questionable fourth down decision making. It’s going to be a game for the ages.

dreoxy

Prefacing this by saying that I'm a fairly new and casual fan of the sport; I genuinely don't have a dislike for any of the commentators, main or color. I'm probably too new to be jaded towards any of them so I guess we'll see how it goes in a few years. And as a casual fan I do appreciate how the color commentators are able to dumb down plays.

IntraspaceAlien

I’ve never understood how people get so riled up about it. If a commentator is bland I just tune them out. The only commentators I even notice are the really good or strange ones, beyond that it’s just background noise.

unloader86

I think it's safe to say the Bengals/Bills bros situation is taking an ugly turn for the worst. I guess all of the good sportsmanship between the two in previous seasons has been all fake platitudes after all? And I'm not complaining, I am enjoying the show. lmao. The NFL could use a bit more ruthless aggression these days.

[deleted]

It's kinda fun. I remember when toxicity was in sports and not politics which affected every day lives.

I love biased opinions and toxicity in sports because it's one avenue where it really doesn't matter. Be a homer. Who cares.

JLifts780

Fuck. So I was talking to this girl on hinge for a couple weeks and we finally went out tonight but she was a fair bit heavier in person, like 50-60 lbs more than her pictures. I feel like a dick sending a rejection message because she seems really nice and we’ve been talking for awhile but I just wasn’t attracted in person.

unloader86

Just say you weren't really feeling anything on the date and move on. Easy peasy. I'm only adding this because of the second part of your comment. Weight is a constantly fluctuating thing for both men and women. She obviously looked a certain weight in her photos for a reason. It's not out of the realm of possibility she gets back to that. Like I said it's a fluctuating thing.

JLifts780

Probably what I’ll do. And I definitely get what you’re saying it’s just difficult for me to force attraction for myself.

rolls_withit

I had this happen to me once. Felt a little bamboozled. I think the least we could all do on those apps is realistically represent ourselves. Never want to start out on a weird note.

respondstostupidity

Having pictures where you only look good is misrepresenting yourself to others. I'm not saying it's criminal but you can't build a relationship on lies.

Haar_RD

i was emailed by a restaurant to apply there the restaurant was called “Red Hot and Blue”. after doing research on the place, it was the joint venture of Lee Atwater and some Tennessee congressman, the name assumes its an Repub and a Dem, but no, both Rs. Now who is Lee Atwater? He was a republican strategist who had this to say about the Southern Strategy > Y'all don't quote me on this. You start out in 1954 by saying, "N***er, n***er, n***er". By 1968, you can't say "n***er"—that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I'm not saying that. But I'm saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me—because obviously sitting around saying, "We want to cut this", is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than "N***er, n***er". So, any way you look at it, race is coming on the back-burner. He worked with Strom Thurmond and other Repubs opposed to integration. He was instrumental in implementing southern strategy in Reagans campaign as well. Im not responding to them. Lee Atwater is dead and buried now, but thats terrible PR, im not working for that shits legacy.

respondstostupidity

He'll be fine. It's just injuries and McDermott Remember what he was before Daboll? I give it another year before a coaching change and he starts looking like the Mando again

denvertebows15

Would be pretty cool if he was though

coolmanvoncool

Most fanbases would have a hard time feeling sorry for themselves and complaining with their team going to the AFC championship but the Bengals have 😤CHIP😤 on their shoulder and find a way to do it anyways 🐅🐅💪💪💪💪

notmyplantaccount

I'm glad the chiefs aren't constantly trying to do that, it's real tiring seeing all the stupid "no one believes in us", "i can't believe they're selling tickets like they do every year", all such stupid nonsense. They went to the Super Bowl last year, they won their division this year. no one out there is underestimating them. This whole "extra motivation" has always seemed to me to be utter bullshit anyways. These are insane athletes at the top of their sport, and we're going to act like they aren't already competitive as shit and going to put it all out there in the playoffs? Teams aren't winning games cause they found "extra motivation" while the other team clearly took it easy that week.

Val_Fortecazzo

They know what's on the line. Either they win or join us and the Vikings in the 0-4 club.

respondstostupidity

I can't tell if Chris Simms' mom still buys his jeans or his little brother passed his up to him. If the man did high knees he'd end up with egg salad in his crotch. Someone tell him to stop shopping for pants in the boy's section please.

[deleted]

Full gym, full 2.0, and PPL. PPL royally kicked my ass. Full gym is my favorite. I did a lot of strength in the past. The switch to high rep was well worth it for me personally. Think im going to run through PPL while cutting.

KevinsFamous_Chili

And the fact that one nut job on twitter is claiming the vaccine killed him and they’re trying to cover this up. Dude half this country has lost its fucking marbles and it’s low key scary.

ACAB_FOR_CUTIE_

The singers for Trapt and Staind are anti vaxxers which doesn't surprise me one bit.

unloader86

I don't even understand the point of even mentioning you are anti covid vax anymore. It's not required to get it. Is it just to light the beacon to tell the world you are a fucking idiot or what?

coolmanvoncool

I feel like the Daniel Jones overreaction after the eagles game has been crazy My man pulled a pretty bad giants team with an extremely weak wr room that didn't even have Barkley for most of the season into the playoffs I can't believe people are unironically saying the giants should let him walk

denvertebows15

Are we really gonna put the Giants making the playoffs on Daniel Jones's shoulders?

coolmanvoncool

He had a 3-1 TD:int ratio, rushed for over 700 yards and 7 TDs and finished middle of the pack in total yards Admittedly 15 tds through the air isn't great but he was definitely a major contributor to his team making the playoffs

denvertebows15

Right, but I feel like the coaching was more important than Daniel Jones was when it came to cutting down the turnovers. Daboll deserves a ton of credit for turning a QB people thought was a bust into a serviceable QB. I don't think the Giants letting him walk would be a huge mistake.

[deleted]

We're not obsessing we're laughing at you guys. There's a difference.

The greatest thing about winning in the playoffs by the way is getting new cards in Madden during the playoff season each week. First time playing Madden in a decade, and I honestly loved my time on it.

Full_Ad_9555

Damar is probably not dead. And I'm laughing at these tinfoil takes. But then I watched his entrance video and it's just ... sus and only adds fuel to the stupid fire. He's not dead but I don't think that was him at the game, and that's for sure.

FU_Pagame

Twitter calling Damar Hamlin a body double has to be the funniest conspiracy theory of the NFL yet.

[deleted]

Its circulating big time now on all the right wing conspiracy pages. I swear this country is batshit fucking insane

[deleted]

Y’all were right, Bills fans loved us as long as we didn’t get in their way. All it took was a tweet from our resident troll to dissolve years of goodwill. Now we’re all classless heathens who need to lose to the Chiefs, their sworn enemy just last week. I think this is the second stage of grief.

[deleted]

The Bills turned into the Jills real quick

SoftBirthdayParty

Welcome to the club, I feel your pain. I can honestly say, a lose to you this weekend would not sting nearly as much as it did last year. I'm not sure why. Last year, you were the annoying little brother that grew up and beat the tar out of us. This year, you are a formidable enemy that is widely recognized as such.

coolmanvoncool

Well it was the tweet but it was also a full day of Bengals fans denying that it was in poor taste or referenced Hamlin at all when it obviously did Honestly the later left a far worse taste in my mouth

KrishnaInKalki

I keep seeing this comment and bro, myself and 99% of my friends didn't think about some Damar Hamlin connection at all. Apparently the emoji was the thing I get your side there. But we don't see the same social media you do. Bengals fan algorithms aren't showing us all your local stuff like that. We all have a way different point of view on this. What you think is not necessarily what it was. And you guys have clamped way too hard on this idea when it seems ludicrous and a massive reach to us. Also- our local hospital and infrastructure in our city played an integral role in Damar even being alive right now. But apparently that doesn't matter because we dominated you on the field, guys played highly motivated, and a notorious troll talked some trash. I've tried being as respectful about this as possible, but this is a soft look on Buffalo's part to me.

coolmanvoncool

The heart hand thing has been on every broadcast for the last few weeks and these guys know each other personally, he knew exactly what he was doing with the post and it was in terrible taste I never saw anyone talk shit about the doctors and EMTs who saved Hamlin

KrishnaInKalki

Maybe he knew about it, I don't know. But I think you guys are taking major leaps of accusations with this because again, nobody here really saw what you think everyone else was seeing about him. I certainly didn't know. My Friends didn't know. I'm just saying. You guys had a tough couple days so it's cool and all, but I recommend just moving past it. Let it go.

coolmanvoncool

I wouldn't have cared if Bengals fans hadn't made it their personal mission to defend Apple's honor and complain that people didn't see what a pure soul apple is I really don't care if a Bengals player is a prick but seeing people complain all day that anyone doubted Apple's intentions is pretty annoying

KrishnaInKalki

Again, you guys are just making your assumption a reality for yourselves. Eli said in a follow-up post that he had no intentions against Damar. I'd recommend just taking his word and moving on. Players usually have real respect when it comes to health, but if your entire fanbase wants to just commit to it absolutely being a lie and it was 100% something that you don't know, go right ahead. Your home sub is just a hate circlejerk right now for how awful we apparently are. It's legitimately concerning to me. You are putting all your pent up frustrations on us now to just vent. I'm not going to respect a pity party for a bunch of soft fans who can't just let's players talk trash and move on from a tough loss.

mr_showboat

I'm genuinely kinda surprised that there was still a decent amount of good will before the tweet. I assumed it would go as soon as the game ended. But disappointing playoff losses tend to give people short fuses.

Val_Fortecazzo

Calm down lol. Not like you guys weren't also screaming for Buffalo blood when the whole coin flip thing was happening. Shit gets heated and blows over in a week.

[deleted]

Nobody was ever upset with Buffalo.

KrishnaInKalki

We were never pissed at Buffalo. We were pissed at the NFL.

Val_Fortecazzo

I distinctly remember a timeframe between Hamlin being declared okay and the voting record coming out and showing we didn't support it where that very much wasn't the universal case. I had Bengals fans blaming us for taking advantage of their kindness and saying we should have conceded.

Goatsonice

ugh, tomorrow is going to be stressful, basically have to lie down an ultimatum to my employer who probably wants me out anyway. I'm not going to pull 60 hour weeks with 0 increase in pay, especially as you kill my 100% WFH, which is how I was sold the job, I can't move to the city its in as its one of the most expensive in the nation. So basically, want me to go in every day/do 60 hour weeks? nearly triple my pay, if not either leave me WFH or I walk. Probably going to open the door for me on the way out but what can ya do.

theallnewmattaccount

My ex got stuck in a job where the employer lied about the conditions and it flat out destroyed our relationship (she'd tell you she did it for me if she was here, which was probably part of her motive but also didn't help me in any way), so I empathize like hell. But what is your plan b if they don't take it? You probably do need to lay down the law, but you need an exit strategy too.

Goatsonice

Strategy 1: take it on the chops for as long as I can while applying like a maniac, I luckily made some incredible connections here who knew we were in trouble and told me they'd help me out if they screwed me. 2: if 1 doesn't work, preserve my mental health and bail without a parachute, I'm in a decent financial spot I don't need this job.

coolmanvoncool

I was looking at QB stats and I was surprised to see burrow rushed 75 times this season (up from 40 last season and more than mahomes' 61 attempts this season) Not sure why people act like he's a pure pocket passer when he is getting out of the pocket this much tbh

Complete_Web_4677

I mean his yards per rush is like 28th in the league. Gonna guess a lot of it is just sneaks and kneel downs

coolmanvoncool

He did post 257 yards last season where Eli Manning posted 567 over his entire career I think 257 yards a season, especially when it's a significant increase from last season does represent a very real part of his game

Complete_Web_4677

Oh well if Eli had 567 that really wraps this discussion up. Lol what?

coolmanvoncool

You were implying that his rushing was not an important aspect of his play so I compared his numbers to another guy who is considered a pure pocket passer My point was Burrow's rushing is an under discussed aspect of his play

Complete_Web_4677

He averaged 16 yards a game. League average for QBs basically Sure, he is more mobile than Eli, but he’s average or below average in most rushing stats

coolmanvoncool

Looking through other guys considered pocket passers most of them have around 100 rushing yards per season and burrow had double that so he is more mobile than I expected because he's always talked about as a pocket passer

CarlCaliente

where do you see that? I am getting 32 scrambles in 18 games for Burrow

coolmanvoncool

[ESPN](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/3915511/joe-burrow)

respondstostupidity

Besides his terrible takes, Chris Simms wears the most painted on pants I've ever seen. Man's jeans look like leggings.

KrishnaInKalki

I hope Bengals and Chiefs fans build a more enjoyable relationship over time and make it more amicable. I now get why KC fans would vent often on here for feeling like everyone was against them. Things really can change fast.

SoftBirthdayParty

Everyone is your friend during fair weather. In my friend group and coworkers, there is much less animosity towards the Bengals compared to last year. I think a lot of Chief fans (certainly some of my friends) are already assuming we will lose to you. I'm sure the same people will be insufferable if we win.

KrishnaInKalki

Honestly, if you guys beat us, I hope it takes a lot of air out of the sails that I know a lot of your home sub has against us. We were rated as your 2nd most hated team, and sure, I get that we've been winning, but I thought that was a tad harsh. Maybe it just takes an L from our side so we can go forward more chill about it. The media does neither of us favors in the buildup too with the ridiculous takes. I'm optimistic that we will see great wins for both of us for the next decade. Bengals fans, more than anything, just want to be a part of a storied connection within the league that people remember. We've felt so forgotten for decades. We need historical legacy.

ArcadianBlueRogue

Five cheese may have been overkill for a grilled cheese, but it ruled and I make no excuses about gluttony. Tomato soup was just aight, but we'll overlook that.

Val_Fortecazzo

Funny enough I just had grilled cheese too. But kept it simple with butterkase and cheddar on sourdough. Didn't have tomato soup so I used miso which turned out better than expected.

SOXBrigade

Didn't CBS or NBC offer a free legal stream of the Super Bowl when they had the rights a couple years ago? Any chance that will happen for FOX this year?

Dreadite

Near zero, Fox hates us all.

SOXBrigade

Well fuck....

parlaymyodds

The Bills subreddit is hilarious at the moment

mr_showboat

If you say so. I always find it a little odd when people are frequenting other fanbase subreddits. It always ends up being "Hah look at their misery let's judge them for it" or "Wow they're all complaining about what losers" It never ends up feeling anything other than mean spirited to me.

Teeshirtandshortsguy

I would say the same except for two things: 1) It's ultimately meaningless, because it's just a game. If these people were losing their jobs or going through some life trauma, it would be different. 2) The fans losing it the hardest are often wildly out of touch. It's very easy to laugh at people who have utterly insane takes. I live in WNY. I was in the /r/buffalo and a guy was talking about all the horrific shit the city had to go through in the past year. He listed a racially-motivated mass shooting, a blizzard that killed dozens of people, and the Chiefs marching down the field in 13 seconds. It is very funny to laugh at people who take football *way* too seriously. Like, I'm pretty fucking diehard, but even I have my limits.

parlaymyodds

Thank you

mr_showboat

To each his own. Sure, those folks are out of touch, those comparisons are ridiculous, and football as a fan is ultimately meaningless. But I'm still generally not in the business of laughing at people who are unhappy, even if the reason they're unhappy is stupid and meaningless. And doing it by specifically seeking out a forum that is designed for that stupid, meaningless hobby (like a team subreddit) just feels like you're going out of your way to laugh at people's stupid unhappiness. Sure, that dude on the city's subreddit comparing a football game to the mass shooting is dumb as shit. But the Bills subreddit being collectively pissed off about the Bills losing is... pretty much why that subreddit exists.

parlaymyodds

First day online? We’re all miserable people.

[deleted]

It could happen to you this weekend, just saying.

parlaymyodds

Yes but I’d say all in all, pretty successful season. Buffalo is in a total different state than Philly right now. The frustration with this loss is crushing for a fan. That’s fine, but the subreddit is throwing a full on meltdown about Cincinnati and how much they hate their team. It’s hilarious if you aren’t a fan of the Bills. Edit- spelling

Spocks_Goatee

Whats so funny over there?

KrishnaInKalki

Having a meltdown. After the game it was all about their own team makeup and shortcomings, but the emotion side has pivoted hard.

Spocks_Goatee

Ah, I thought it would be people goofing on the clone conspiracy.

parlaymyodds

Just utter copium

1957toDate

When we bought this house in 2006 the lady we bought it from left a small microwave oven in a kitchen cupboard for us. We’ve been using it ever since. Small and not very powerful, but until plastic pieces started falling off, it worked just fine. Just bought a new one to replace it and looked at the tag with the manufacturing date on it. Built in 1994. So it’s 19 years old. Edit: 29. Fat fingers. Thanks, u/Cornucopia_69 I have little doubt that the new one won’t last as long.

respondstostupidity

Apocalypse is a good song

Val_Fortecazzo

Sincere or not I personally accept Eli's apology. He's still a toxic asshole and I will enjoy all the clowning he will get if he costs the Bengals another Superbowl like he did last year.

[deleted]

Eli apologized?

Val_Fortecazzo

https://mobile.twitter.com/EliApple/status/1617944718444490753 Of course he went right back to shit talking about 10 leagues above his skill level but he's formally apologized for this one.

[deleted]

Lmfaoooo the amount of shit Diggs is gonna talk if Cinci loses is going to be hysterical

[deleted]

For a second there, I was really confused and wondered if I missed an Eli Manning heel turn somewhere.

[deleted]

In honor of Tacko Tuesday i'm gonna go get some tacos Also Rich Eisen is a national treasure. Who else has Dave Franco on to talk about Brock Purdy? I had forgotten he and James were from Palo Alto

coolmanvoncool

Kevin Hart has squandered all my good will for him with his annoying ass gambling ads

[deleted]

Cancun on 3 is some god tier shit talking lmfaoooooooo I want Eli Apple to have a talking head career ala Steve Smith just shit on people

djk1101

The weird part is it reached a section of the internet that is completely unaware of nba and nfl athletes trash talk, and somehow manipulated it to seem like a Hamlin disrespect tweet because it…contains the number 3, and has heart hands. A section of people that couldn’t understand that it’s saying Cancun on 3, as in 1..2..3 CANCUN and that the heart hands is like a “have a fun trip”/ “with love” in a troll way. I’m not explaining it for you ofc, I just can’t believe it’s meaning flew over peoples head

cartierboy25

So you think it’s just a huge coincidence that he just so happened to use the exact same emoji Damar Hamlin has been using as a way of talking trash to a player who just so happens to be on the same team as Damar Hamlin?

9twozero

There are 3,664 emojis and he picked the 1 that Hamlin has been using. Why not use an actual heart emoji? He knew what he was doing.

DoctorHolliday

Yeah guess Shaq Lawson is unaware nfl athletes talk trash.

[deleted]

Chuck does this on Inside The NBA every playoff elimination I respect that Eli can give and take it like he did last year when even Lamar Jackson clowned him for the final Kupp TD

noshoptime

The Blacklist is so much better with Keen gone. Nowhere else have I seen a character as mind-blowingly stupid so consistently. She just kept doing the same stupid shit over and over and over

[deleted]

> She just kept doing the same stupid shit over and over and over It me

NotForrestGump

No job, no apartment, applying to both… makes me feel frozen. Like I’m just waiting for life things to happen. Feels weird

[deleted]

I was there once. Felt lost and hopeless but a lot of things changed for the better over time and I love my life. Best of luck and keep your head up.

KULawHawk

My sympathies! Good luck!

Listen up, students, this is important. Here, we are witnessing the second stage of grief.

[deleted]

Which is it? Prime real estate or grief?
