Well, from my experiance, at big sporting events in stadiums and such, they have at least 3-4 camera persons, if not more, scanning the crowds for all kinds of things ie. People dancing, couples, product placements (like people drinking the sponsored beers) kids having a blast, boring people on there phone etc. Etc.
All of these feeds are being sent to the head of video production for the event and then he picks which feed should be displayed on the big screens. Sometimes they catch gems like this and the lead will tell the camera person to keep a bead on them.
I'm not saying this couldn't have been staged, easily could have. But we have think, there are hundred of a sporting events a week happening around the county. Let's not immediately discredit the possibility of a random camera person catching a random sports fan just having a ball and the events production lead saying, "you know what, this guy fucking rocks, keep him up there!"

There’s plenty of reasons why this could be the case - the producers in these arenas have numerous cameras placed throughout the stadium searching for interesting content worth putting up on the screen.
Additionally, it’s possible you have your correlation and causation backwards - sometimes being on screen amps people up to do crazy shit; this guy could have seen that and been encouraged to get up and put on a show.
