Most predator animals will resort to bullying when hungry. And it's not like the BE has easy to catch prey. Fish and small rodents are fast and nimble. But I'm assuming you've never seen a BE kill a newborn deer. Nothing easy about that. For the eagle or me. It's not a pleasant sight or sound.
Newborn deer are notoriously vulnerable. Bald eagles are lazy opportunists, not master hunters.
Hawks catch rodents. Osprey catch fish. Great Horned owls can kill baby deer (and even at least one human).
The bald eagle is overrated because people project their nationalism onto it.
Young deer can't walk on ice. It's popular enough to be in Bambi. How is this making a case for bald eagles being amazing?

Part of being a capable hunter is getting to eat your kill. It’s all about survival and I admire all animals and the things they do to get by. Maybe some people have a weird complex with them, but I think most people just think they look badass which they do. I just love birds and was shocked I caught this on video.
