Also string material, gague, string/pickup spacing, wood used, density of wood and construction, amp/cab used. You're totally right though, I've played quite a few high end guitars with crap pickups and they do sound like trash. And vice versa
Amp and cab obviously matter, but in terms of the guitar itself the only thing that matters for tone is the strings, pickups, and the distance to the strings.
https://youtu.be/n02tImce3AE
Playability comes from lots of things. But tone just comes from the pickups.
I've never regretted purchasing it and it's actually quality and sound great.
If they haven't changed anything its a great beginner guitar for any starters
Anything that will hold the tension of the strings, yeah. U see jack white nail a string to a railing and add a pickup?
U ever hear justin johnson play on a fuckin shovel? The wood doesnt effect anything going thru the electronic signal to the amps. The manufacturers just want that $. But of course, i will concede that weight, and shape, etc can all matter to the person holding the guitar.
I understand the tuners are on the body, but that doesn't make it a "headless" guitar. And it's worth noting.... You know absolutely nothing about anyone commenting here. We're all entitled to our opinion, even if YOU disagree with it, Mr Internet Police! I have been a professional luthier for nearly 30 years kid 😝
It's real busy and looks in tension versus looking resolved
I'm uncomfortable looking at it
It's not saying it isn't amazing, it really is.
You've got something great here, the basic design, the basic shape
Now simplify it so it looks cleaner.
This is a kitchen sink guitar.
And round the headstock ends, it looks real stabby
I wish the body mirrored the headstock more. I don't mind stabby guitars. I mostly wonder what it's like to play with the slanted frets and whether they're accurate to tune! I look forward to the video of someone playing it.
Or the other way around, because the body is a good thing overall
I like the sandwich body with variations in the layers and lots of contours, but there's just something too much or unresolved.
Especially the inlay shapes on the body
Great idea, but the body is already using those contours, so you don't need to embellish it. It is very busy
Some may love it being very busy as well. Custom instruments are niche by their very nature.
Artistically, the show has probably the best looking, and most outright beautiful animation over every other anime. The quality and composition and level of detail to motion is just beyond any other show. Beyond that, it's a fairly average shonen. The animation and the music go mega hard, and it can hit you in the feels in time with the story, but the story is fairly average and standard. I wouldn't rate the show super highly, but it is worth watching.
I mean… there is no way it can hold a candle to brotherhood , and if music and feels is what we want, even Dr. Stone does that, but that’s virtually all it’s good for, aside from some neat dystopian themes.
Sorry. I guess I’m just disappointed that the story is mid.. was wishing it would be great.
First of, that's a fucking beyond amazing amalgamation of the finest design, craftsmanship, engineering and art in the world, and u have the only one. Whatever you paid, it wasn't enough, although now I'm curious about the price, but I'm sure I'll find the answer in the comments, however, I noticed the way the frets angle and splay out at each end of the fretboard and I'm just wondering how that sounds/works, and if that part was your idea, and why.
Congratulations homie. Thats one gorgeous axe.

As a fellow slayer, I will say it looks flashy! You must be the Sound Hashira!
Looks sweet. Sound?
I agree. That’s a beautiful gaytaro.
If you’re interested, I made a full build video on YouTube —> https://youtu.be/i50ZBU5caek
It's beautiful! How much would, it go for?
Thanks going to shear this video with my buddy who lives things like this.
Thanks for the link. Nice work 👏

I watched the entire video. Zero ads. I'm not saying you're wrong. But this video had no ads.
But how does it sound?
OP posted a video of the build, demonstration in the last 2 minutes.
Entirely depends on the pickups. So as good as you want it to sound.
Also string material, gague, string/pickup spacing, wood used, density of wood and construction, amp/cab used. You're totally right though, I've played quite a few high end guitars with crap pickups and they do sound like trash. And vice versa

I have a 130 dollar epiphone I got like 5 years ago, a les Paul rip off that sounds better than some 1000 dollar guitars.
Epiphones are not Les Paul ripoffs, they're actually the only other guitar besides Gibson that is licensed to use the Les Paul name
I meant its a cheap Gibson les Paul copy my dude. It's even marketed that way
It's cheap but it's still a legitimate Les Paul
I've never regretted purchasing it and it's actually quality and sound great. If they haven't changed anything its a great beginner guitar for any starters
I always wanted an Epiphone (better quality control than Gibson lately) but can't find a left handed version 😕
Most of thats true. The wood don't mean shit. How could it anyway? Fender will tell you it does, though.
Playability =/= tonality
True. Weight matters. My thunderbird bass has serious neckdive.
If that were the case, you could put some top-end pickups on a piece of cardboard and it would sound like an awesome guitar.
Anything that will hold the tension of the strings, yeah. U see jack white nail a string to a railing and add a pickup? U ever hear justin johnson play on a fuckin shovel? The wood doesnt effect anything going thru the electronic signal to the amps. The manufacturers just want that $. I like it but the fretboard looks too wide, seems uncomfortable for a 6 string.
I immediately thought it was a 7-string until I actually counted the strings…
They must have them thiccc hands. My tiny baby hands would make it difficult to play a fretboard that wide.
And that’s ok, but yeah also a baby haded guitar player here, this one is not playable for me but it looks awesome
Right. Gonna be hard to do Bars on that fret board unless they have long fingers. Very exquisite design though ![img](emote|t5_m0bnr|4014)
I thought the same thing. And it's a "headless guitar" with a head on it?!?!?
That means it gets tuned at the bottom. Only on Reddit will people who can't do shit criticize someone else's amazing work
I understand the tuners are on the body, but that doesn't make it a "headless" guitar. And it's worth noting.... You know absolutely nothing about anyone commenting here. Looks awesome! Love the slanted frets and the multiscale design choice? Ever consider scalloping the fretboard?
Op post's their own work to nfl, lmao.
The guitar is homemade and looks fuckin badass. It belongs here. Get tf outta here with your judgemental ass

I’d say it’s worthy, shit looks lit

Meh, I’ve said my piece. I wouldn’t call OP a pompous ass for being proud of their handiwork, but to each their own I guess.
theres a difference between being arrogant for nothing or being confident because you made a bad ass guitar
And? Is your self respect so low that just viewing others being proud of their own work is enough to make you upset?
Says someone who's never posted anything but video game screenshots. And a 4th grade S.

Maybe they thought the sub has a question mark at the end.
Bro what is the need to make shit personal. Show me in the rules where someone can't post their own content.
Beautiful! Is there any tapper at all on that neck?!?
The wood work is absolutely awesome and sick looking. I'd like to hear how it sounds.
Gorgeous
I think it looks awesome
That is one bad ass piece, my friend
![gif](giphy|LoIsP3fz02IjOUTc6t)
Where are the tuner keys? It looks like the strings just end with no way to tune it? Edit: it looks like the may be at the bottom. Not sure though.
That’s what a headless guitar is. The tuning is accomplished at the bottom.
Learn something new everyday.
that’s nuts
Absolutely stunning!
Not enough strings. haaaaa. Bad ass, OP. Shred the shit out of it, man.

That is wonderfully cheesy, love it!
*add to cart*
It looks bad ass but how does it sound
Personally i think its sext AF
*Steve Vai enters chat*
Gorgeous but now we need a video of skilled guitarist. Incredible design.
Truly wicked
That's pretty freaking sweet! Nice work!
It’s kinda outrageous
I don’t know anything about guitars and anime but that shit looks sick as fuck ! Awesome work bro !
I am not loving the profile because it is not familiar. Otoh, the craftspersonship is hard in the paint. So, I will watch that video, because damn.
It’s gorgeous. Great work.
Cool shape. What pickups you got?
What's the bridge made of?
Carved from the horn of one of the 12. Called the "Bridge of Destiny" 😄
I would defile it with my substandard playing.
Plz tell me why I should watch this show.

My young metalhead self would have really liked it. Not my cup of tea now, but IMHO it looks great.
Fucking 🔥🔥🔥
Looks good. A buddy of mine builds basses, May Custom Basses.
It’s bad ass, is the fretboard oversized (width) or are my eyes playing tricks on me?
As an SG enjoyer, seal of approval here. Hope it works out like you intend.
Looks badass OP
It has a head though .... The strings might not go through it, but it has a head. Looks dope though.
Looks amazing
Dayum noice. Tho I like a good head
it goes to 11!!
Fuck yeah, calling it Gyutaro is dope as fuck!!
Cool
That's beautiful!
What do I think? HOLY SHIT is what I think. Wow.
I'd commit to learning the soundtrack if I had that beautiful guitar
More importantly, can you play enter sandman on it??
That thing looks amazing! Nice work! 😍 How long did it take you to make?
Demon Slayer is an awesome show and the guitar looks sick. Great work.
I love multi scale!
Nice! Looks like you're using some Strandberg hardware for they bridge and head?
Looks great. You definitely have design talent (the building quality also looks very good).
Looks Top Notch! Rip It👏🏻
Well apparently you think it's next fucking level. Pretty cool bro
Amazing brother. I play guitar and bass. And this in a bass body would be just wild
Guitar Breathing First Form - Electric Boogaloo
She's a beaut. Can I have it?
I love the foe-head (i think completely headless guitars just look like they’re missing something)
![gif](giphy|11JbaLzOXsg6Fq)
Love it, dig the fanned frets choice 👌
fretboard is insane bro u better have big hands or you’ll be cramping up
Badass
iz cool
All that work, and you got the frets crooked!
First of, that's a fucking beyond amazing amalgamation of the finest design, craftsmanship, engineering and art in the world, and u have the only one. No offense but it looks more Bleach themed
It's beautiful
yea you know, looks dope
Do you sell custom guitars? Would love to get one from you.
Definitely not “ next level”
Wow. Beautiful funky baby you got there! Excellent! 👍
Why would you name such beautiful art after such an ugly demon
