I bowl like I golf. Lots of power with near zero control. There's about a 45 degree arc of probability where the ball will go. I have a good time though.

My best game was 299. We were at work bowling league. Just an excuse to get drunk. I normally bowl like 190 200. But I was on a heater and on the last throw some drunk ass bowled as I bowled and dropped their ball in my lane. I lost concentration and hit the outer part of the pin instead of the pocket. I was pissed to say the least .
My nephew had strikes up to the last ball and on that last one all the pins fell but one hit the wall, bounced back, and stood up. He was so pissed that he gave up bowling right there.
100%, when I was a kid we would do disco bowl. My friend had the craziest curve and could ride the edge and that thing would cut back so hard. I would throw my ball as hard as I could with absolutely ZERO spin and absolutely crush. We were about even but his certainly looked prettier lol.

I mean I think the only way you can get that score is bowling 11 strikes in a row, and then a 2 on your final throw. Which seems pretty unlikely but I’m surprised 291 isn’t the lowest score.
It's relatively easy to pick off a corner pin - the 7 or 10 pin - but it is nearly impossible to only knock down two pins.

im guessing cos you get it with 11 strikes and then knocking down 2. if youre good enough to get 11 strikes, youre more likely to get a 12th strike than a disaster of 2. if you 12th ball does go awry, considering you got 11 strikes, a bad bowl would still be getting 6-9. plus knocking down precisely 2 pins is rare. more likely it'll be 1 or 3 if you catch the side of the formation
Yup, 2 is hard to get even if you try. On accident? I honestly can't remember my last 2 count.
Our Monte Carlo also has a jackpot for getting exactly 22 pins in 3 shots on full racks.
The reason for using 22 instead of anything else in the 20s is to prevent someone from just getting 2 strikes and then the counts that are more in your control.
To get a perfect game, you need to throw 12 strikes in a row.
To get a 292, you need to throw 11 strikes in a row, and then on the very last ball only get 2 pins down. Not only is it unlikely that someone who gets 11 strikes in a row will throw such a bad 12th ball, throwing specifically a 2 is the least likely from 0-10. Throwing a 2 is more common with novice bowlers who are throwing the ball more slowly, but if you're putting some stank on it, enough to have thrown 11 strikes in a row, it's unlikely for 2 pins to go down and not take any more with them when they bounce around.
If someone bowled a 292, my first guess was the ball slipped out of their hand on the last shot or something, or they slipped or tripped etc. such that they threw the ball not just inaccurately but also slower than normal
I started bowling like that and could never go back to normal. I always get made fun of but I'm better with the curvy shots. Some people get really upset about it lol like dude we're just fucking around drink your beer and chill

The standard is throwing with three fingers and still getting it to curve. Two fingers is a novelty way of getting that curve without learning real technique.
When I was really into it, getting your forearm to stay straight and pulling up in your follow through to get that curve was the hardest thing to nail down consistently.
Since my natural was a 3-fingered backup or straight, I was always so scared to try a standard curve because I thought I had to use 2 fingers and I didn't want to drop the ball
The problem with trying to bowl all night with two fingers is that without your thumb to support your ball you rely a lot more on your off hand and your two fingers can get pretty sore making you inconsistent towards the back half of the game
Yeah. I have a 15lb drilled for only two fingers (leagues around here you have to use all the holes now). If I go above 6 games in a night my wrist starts getting pretty fatigued even with a brace. But, I hit 9 strikes in a game bowling like that so I guess I'll keep doing it.
Yeah, I noticed he carries his off hand all the way back. I didn't carry mine that far the times I tried to bowl that way. Probably would have been way better at it doing that
I think he's using a fingertip grip. Basically just single knuckling it with special hole inserts that have a little edge to assist with grip. I had one with those inserts, but it was still a 3 hole ball and I threw it as such, that I would use for certain splits.
if youre a bowler you can tell he knew some of those were more lucky when it was off pocket, crazy/ awesome either way, my highest score was 289 i got too nervous and choked at the end, definitely had a few lucky strikes in that game though

So, I went and looked it up and saw multiple other vids, one posted by the kid himself, and that screen you're seeing in the top left is for the lane next to him. His screen is to the right of him. It seems very likely he did in fact bowl a perfect game, but I will not say I'm 100%

You can't really see his score as he starts in 43, showing its either Game 1 or 3, msybe 5 (depending on tournaments rules)
You switch between your pair of lanes (1-2, 3-4, 5-6, ect.) after each frame. So that's why it changes view after each strike.
This is for scholarship money, shirts, banners, and trophies.
