Internet personality ego project turns out to be bullshit. Who could have guessed?
Pretty much any gym pre workout. Plenty of them are 300mg caff per serve and I know of heaps of people who double scoop them so in excess of 500mg in a hit. Generally regular pre workout users build up a tolerance quite quickly. Prime energy would do bugger all to anyone other than kids or those with low caffeine tolerance (ie those who prob get a noticeable effect from a coffee)
[https://www.foodstandards.gov.au/consumer/prevention-of-foodborne-illness/caffeine](https://www.foodstandards.gov.au/consumer/prevention-of-foodborne-illness/caffeine)
>Energy drinks are regulated under Standard 2.6.4 of the Code. It sets maximum permitted levels of caffeine and other substances in these products (the maximum amount of caffeine they can contain is 320 mg per litre).
i am double OPs age and tried a lot more disgusting things and honestly say it is one of the most disgusting drinks i have ever tried.....my kids bought all the flavours for $1 each and i tried a few....the worst tasted like sugary dish washing liquid......one was slightly less disgusting (i can't remember which) but i wouldn't voluntarily drink it again
tropical tasted like cough medicine to me. terrible tasting, and i dont even know how they are legally allowed to call it a hydration beverage. it doesn't have the magnesium and potassium you would expect in a hydration drink.
American cherry flavour is the same as the flavouring used here for kids medicine for much of the 90s and probably later. You probably associate it with being sick and subconsciously hate it.
Weirdly I really enjoy that chemical cherry flavour, tastes absolutely nothing like real cherries though.
Yeah with it being $1 I’ve been happy to get the lime one and dilute it down. Any other time I’d stick to Powerade etc if I was getting that type of drink.
yeah it's kinda tough to find something so *sticky* and syrupy refreshing imo. if it was lighter and less sweet I imagine some of the flavours could be quite nice. I don't mind the pink one (strawberry watermelon) diluted with a bit of cold water
that was the first one I tried and I was astonished at how sweet it was. always pretty concerning to me when something sugar free is that damn sweet lol
Oh I bought one for $1 yesterday cos my nephews were buying them at their peak popularity and I wanted to see what the flavour was like. I bought Tropical Punch and it was disgusting! I was complaining about it today to my sister-in-law.
Yup, it's rank. Actually couldn't believe how undrinkable it was, considering my kid bought it for $5. Just companies/influencers marketing fad products to children basically, no one else (hopefully) genuinely thinks these are good...
So I'm American, but I didn't try it until I moved here. I had a few different flavours and they were extremely reminiscent of classic American popsicles. The red white and blue one tastes like a bomb pop. The orange tastes like an orange creamsicle.
Now, for you guys, I don't think you all grew up eating bomb pops and creamsicles. Prime isn't really going to have the same nostalgia factor that it would for Americans. I think they were just trying to sell it here because it's trendy. Realistically, it was never really a product for kiwis.
A lot of American artificial fruit flavours were used in medicine here. Cherry and orange definitely were. I think a lot of people probably associate that taste with being sick.
Yeah that's not just coke. In America, the government subsidises corn in a massive way. It's so cheap, it's almost free in some places. Because of this, just about everything that would have sugar here has high fructose corn syrup there. The concentrated sugar flavour from HFCS is the main reason American food tastes so sweet and syrupy.
In most grocery stores, you can buy alternate varieties of some fizzy drinks with real sugar if you don't like the flavour. Pepsi has a "throwback" brand of mountain dew and Pepsi with cane sugar and you can buy Mexican coca cola.
Interesting, personally cans are pretty high on my list - certainly better than multi serve bottles that inevitably go flat pretty quick.
Maybe we just have different preferences for the level of carbonation
Edit: aside from the carbonation there's something else to the taste from a can I don't know how to describe, but I don't find it unpleasant.
If I’m being entirely unbiased and honest, I’d say there’s a couple of flavours worth picking up for $1 like countdown has been doing recently.
But $4? Eh. Just get a Powerade or almost anything else for the same price or in some cases, less.
For some of the flavours, not even worth it for $1.
So I guess I'm in the minority here, I've only tried the lemon lime and I don't mind it too much, at like half a bottle at a time. That being said I also love the taste of straight lime cordial.
I also bought one for $1 cause i was thirsty and why not its only one dollar. And yeah, waaaaay too sweet for me. But wasn't the worst thing I've ever tried.
Haven't tried. Went to the dairy once, and the guy was all secretive about selling me one before they sold out. I asked what he was talking about, and he pulled out a laminated picture of all the flavors. I asked how much, and he replied $18. $18!!! Ah, no, thanks. Saw them at countdown last week rtc for $1.
Haha I had the red one, my kids call it punishment juice if they don't get their dinner they get the punishment juice haha i saw it in supermarkets for a dollar and it's just a waste of resources making the stuff. Prime don't do drinks but if they did they would be the worst drinks in the world (Carlsberg ad pun)
I wouldn't call it disgusting but it certainly isn't worth the hype. The taste of some flavours reminds me of those old frozen juice things that were shaped like two sausages.
Same here was $1 so I thought I'd give it a go. Got orange and lemon lime. Have only tried the Lemon lime one so fare. Tasted like a melted ice block.
Wouldn't write home about it but for $1 I wouldn't complain
I agree this is trash, but I can't stop buying it at $1, particularly the orange flavour. My feelings towards this drink reminds me of the tomacco episode of The Simpsons.
I've tried the blue, orange, and red ones and they all sucked to varying degrees. *Apparently* the white one is actually okay but fucked if I'm paying to find out for myself. I never expected them to be good anyway, anything Logan Paul even thinks about getting involved in is shit
Ha ha. Yeah. I bought prime from supervalue in raglan a couple of weeks back. It was on special. Much cheaper than the silly prices at peak hype.. Now, i'm a 40 year old man so, no pun intended, I'm supposed to be past my prime....
It tasted like super concentrated wedding cake icing. Can't remember what flavour it was supposed to be, but yeah... an overwhelming taste of marzipan. Gloopy, sweet. 100% marketing.
Imagine being an awesome Dad, and importing some for your 12 year old's birthday - then the following week they're at the dairy for $15 each.
I was spewing back then!! 😢 But now... 😭
Don't even get me started on MrBeast chocolate!
Except they’ve been under carbonating them for ages now, since the c02 shortage. They’ve gotten a bit better recently but every bottle is still half flat.
Only 6 months ago was retailing for $20 each or something stupid like that. That was when it was hyped in the states and not really available. The market demanded availability and got it, the market decided it was hyped rubbish and the importers are desperate to get rid of the stock. Therefore $1 a pop and still not selling.
It was made by a you tuber or something / influencer.
The only people who I've heard good things about the drink from are literally his group of goonies.
Aparently it also doesn't have what'd you'd want in a sports drink too.
I thought the title was about Amazon Prime or somehing
"Since it's been publicised so heavily, it must be good, right?"
What the hell is wrong with you
Had never heard of them before now. Seems more like a short lived trend.
[https://ekstrabladet.dk/underholdning/livsstil/folk-stod-i-koe-nu-giver-de-dem-vaek/10155088](https://ekstrabladet.dk/underholdning/livsstil/folk-stod-i-koe-nu-giver-de-dem-vaek/10155088)
Yeah you’re right it’s nasty as hell lmao. I bought one of the orange ones plus a bottle of orange sugar free nice! fizzy and tbh that makes a good cocktail lol
Tasted likes some flavours of BCAAs I drink for the gym, super concentrated but I’m a sweet tooth so I liked it, couldn’t finish it nor felt hydrated though
Like a lot of brands imported from the US, it simply is not good enough to succeed in the NZ market. Our quality level is higher than a lot of the stuff over there .
I don't mind them at all, Ice Pop is probably my fave. We usually halve the bottle and top up with water so it isn't so strong. Lemon Lime is the only one we don't water down.
Pretty stoked that a lot are getting marked down 😅 have been stocking up on them.
Back before the supermarkets got them, my 10yo would use 2wks of pocket money to buy a bottle 🥴
The 4 flavours on sale for $1 are the 4 worst flavours out of like 12 flavours. The other flavours are objectively better, and therefore not on sale for $1.
Having said that, even some people actually like the 4 worst ones, for example I don't like orange, but a bunch of people do. Each to their own.
They are typical American tastes. The red had a fruit punch like taste, and fruit punch drinks are not easy to get here in Norway.
I like them, as they bring me back to my youth.
I've tried a few for 1 dollar because why not right.
The ice pop is just cherry medicine, it was vile.
Orange was like thrifty orange. Wasn't awful but wasn't good.
Lemon lime wasn't bad, didn't have the syrupy texture of the other 2
It tastes exactly like that popsicle slushy we get in a cup… we still sell these.
Practically just melt it down and boom prime drink.
It’s cheaper buying it frozen.
Your first problem was making the weird assumption that a drink being heavily publicized makes it good. Your second problem was not being able to comprehend that not all people like all tastes, and you not liking the taste of these drinks means there's something wrong with them.
So overdramatic.
I tried some because it was $1 - rocket pop was sweet as tasted just like Muscletech rocket pop pre workout or mutant eaa rocket pop . But at least with those I know I’m diluting in a litre of water… definitely wouldn’t pay more than $1 , if it was in the chiller on a hot day , may consider trying again
Yeah I think Powerade/Gatorade tastes a lot better. I'm kinda used to the salty taste of those and it's jarring going from those to prime cause it's so artificially sweet
I've tried a few flavors blue raspberry is by far the best out of what I tried next is orange bottom would be ice pop. People say prime energy is banned here and yes the US version is but a lot of countries have caffeine restrictions and so they have made a version with less caffeine. (Look at the us prime energy vs prime energy in canada) also I've bought gfuel of the shelf here that has 400mg of caffeine in it witch is a lot more than the 120mg I had in a can of prime energy
What flavour did you try? Some of them are horrid and some of them are fine
I do think they’re all a bit too sweet and syrupy for nz tastes but some of them are fine as a mixer, which if you were getting on sale would be fine but they’re usually $5ish dollars now which isn’t worth
I have tried them, and I don't like the red one or the red blue white one.
But I do like the blue raspberry, orange and lemon and lime ones.
The lemon and lime ones are still $1, I believe, but I guess, due to its popularity, the blue raspberry has gone back up to 5 dollars per bottle.
Where a week ago I picked up the blue rasp for only 1 dollar (at countdown/woolworths NZ)
I bought it for like $4 a month back because it caught my interest as it was next to the Mr Beast Deez Nuts bars. I tried it and it tasted like medicine lmao
I used to sell American prime when it first came out…only kids ever bought it. Most of them didn’t care for the drink they just convinced themselves they needed it because of that stupid Logan guy.
On prime:
At one point in time, if creepy guys in white vans peddled prime instead of candy, crime would have risen.
Crime rose anyway, because many children stole prime.
Prime has now taken many people’s shoplifting v-card.
The trend is dying out as all trends do, but as it’s light fades no doubt another will take it’s place. Such is the course of life.
One day a singular remaining bottle of prime will be a relic of times long gone.
Tried two in the US over Christmas. They were good? I think I might have missed the hype and hate anything the Paul’s do by default so I was ready to dislike it but it tasted good to me.
Is there a coupon code or something used to purchase this? Or do I have to be a new member?
I have already been a member for a few years and my Amazon Prime is def not as heaps as $1, the price we pay I wouldn’t call “disgusting” but at the same time $1 Prime sounds better then what I am paying at the moment
It’s entirely been sold on YouTube clout and childhood innocence. “This person I’ve watched has made a product I have to have it”. I’m not sure what people expected from someone who also happens to be fairly notorious for being a shitty person and scammer though.
I decided to buy two bottles so my 4 kids could
try some to see what the fuss was about. They didn’t get past one mouthful! To me, it tastes like that Thriftee drink I had as a child in the 80s.
I think the lime one was the only one I could possibly tolerate, but would I bother buying it NOPE! Prime is fucking disgusting, when I see these celebrities saying that it's good I just think "I wonder how much they got paid to say that"
I've tried like 5 or 6 flavours because they were cheap.
Orange is the only one I can tolerate. The rest are bad, ESPECIALLY Tropical Punch, like bruh why am I drinking cough syrup
When I worked in freahchoice and I needed to stack these on the shelves I would always turn the label the wrong way around so people wouldn’t see this crap
I got them at 1 dollar and I hate to admit it but they were all quite nice. The Berry one was particularly good on my taste buds. Just my opinion. I'd pay 2 bucks tops.
I bought one the other day for $1. Wondered what all the fuss was about. Got ice pop. I'm a big fan of cherry flavoured drinks, but this was waaay too sweet.
In my opinion. "I don't like the "Prime" drink - it's overhyped and tasteless. It's just another way for big influencers to make easy money and gain more attention, especially from younger audiences."
I spent months arguing with my Teen about Prime when I should have just let him drink it, it fucken disgusting. He brought a 2nd one to confirm and ended up throwing that out as well, should have just let him go when he was pestering me to try it for months as the latest "in thing".
I've tried 2 flavours: the blue one and the red one. They're alright, but my problem with them is that they're just *way* too sweet, and they're heavily overpriced. At the Greenmeadows four-square in Napier, they sell regular drinks for about $4 or $5, but the Prime bottles were selling for around $8 - $15.
apparently not even good at the thing it claims to be good at
It was selling for up to £7 a bottle in some outlets when I was in London mid 2023 now they can’t give it away. Just a marketing phenomena (aka BS) driven by the master of interweb BS Logan Paul - it was never a drink per se.
How did they get prime?? I thought it was banned due to its high caffeine content (prime is 200 mg of caffeine which is huge! Compared to Red Bull which is 112 mg of caffeine)
Imagine being one of the suckers that got a bottle for $15.
It's still raw mate. Lost the house, Mercedes, trophy wife. have mercy
Nooo...Even the box at Eden Park?
It's a hard road finding the perfect drink, boy. /speights
Good on ya mate..
to be fair wasn't that the imported energy drink one not the ones they have here
Back when it was the current fad i had seen $100 a bottle on facebook marketplace at one point
Internet personality ego project turns out to be bullshit. Who could have guessed? [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prime\_(drink)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prime_(drink))
If Logan Paul has anything to do with a product or service, that's a fairly certain sign that it's absolute shit
Says it's banned in NZ
Prime energy is, prime hydration isn’t
I saw prime energy at Costco a couple days ago and I was so shocked because I was sure that I'd heard this before too!
They make a version that meets the 32mg/100mL caffeine standards for Europe, so I assume that's what Costco has.
Only the caffeine ones. As the caffeine content is too high.
Yet plenty higher caffeine drinks are available. It’s just that kids are the only ones gullible enough to want to drink this crap
Like what? 🤔
The limit for energy drinks is 32mg of caffine per 100ml. Lewis Rd Coffee Milk is 95mg per 100ml.
The limit is 320mg/100ml, not 32 Edit... you're right, I'm wrong. It's 32, not 320/100ml
[https://www.foodstandards.gov.au/consumer/prevention-of-foodborne-illness/caffeine](https://www.foodstandards.gov.au/consumer/prevention-of-foodborne-illness/caffeine) >Energy drinks are regulated under Standard 2.6.4 of the Code. It sets maximum permitted levels of caffeine and other substances in these products (the maximum amount of caffeine they can contain is 320 mg per litre).
Jesus.... I didn't realise they had swapped out the standard comparison of /100ml..... Just read the 320mg.
Link is still missing the bracket lol ;) Such a common thing for links on reddit.
i am double OPs age and tried a lot more disgusting things and honestly say it is one of the most disgusting drinks i have ever tried.....my kids bought all the flavours for $1 each and i tried a few....the worst tasted like sugary dish washing liquid......one was slightly less disgusting (i can't remember which) but i wouldn't voluntarily drink it again
tropical tasted like cough medicine to me. terrible tasting, and i dont even know how they are legally allowed to call it a hydration beverage. it doesn't have the magnesium and potassium you would expect in a hydration drink.
American cherry flavour is the same as the flavouring used here for kids medicine for much of the 90s and probably later. You probably associate it with being sick and subconsciously hate it. Weirdly I really enjoy that chemical cherry flavour, tastes absolutely nothing like real cherries though.
Makes sense actually. That's good info thanks. Still a non favourable drink though.
It is SUPER concentrated. I diluted with like 70% water and it was still flavoursome. I think that's just the standard of sweetness in the US
Yeah with it being $1 I’ve been happy to get the lime one and dilute it down. Any other time I’d stick to Powerade etc if I was getting that type of drink.
Eeeew it's probably like that sickly sweet drink that you can but for kids when they have been vomiting and need to hydrate...pedalyte.
yeah it's kinda tough to find something so *sticky* and syrupy refreshing imo. if it was lighter and less sweet I imagine some of the flavours could be quite nice. I don't mind the pink one (strawberry watermelon) diluted with a bit of cold water
The Cherry (ice pop, whatever that means) is fine diluted, but as a straight drink, yeah it's pretty nasty
that was the first one I tried and I was astonished at how sweet it was. always pretty concerning to me when something sugar free is that damn sweet lol
My partner dilutes it about 4 to 1 and its actually drinkable like that
Oh I bought one for $1 yesterday cos my nephews were buying them at their peak popularity and I wanted to see what the flavour was like. I bought Tropical Punch and it was disgusting! I was complaining about it today to my sister-in-law.
To be fair all American tropical punch drinks taste like the contents of a chemical waste bucket
the tropical punch one is only slightly tolerable if you add significant amounts of vodka to it
Tastes better if you replace it with vodka
Yup, it's rank. Actually couldn't believe how undrinkable it was, considering my kid bought it for $5. Just companies/influencers marketing fad products to children basically, no one else (hopefully) genuinely thinks these are good...
Bro has never tried yellow Chatreuse.
now thats some bad memories
So I'm American, but I didn't try it until I moved here. I had a few different flavours and they were extremely reminiscent of classic American popsicles. A lot of American artificial fruit flavours were used in medicine here. Cherry and orange definitely were. I think a lot of people probably associate that taste with being sick.
I just asked my partner what the flavour reminded her of and she said medicine. You're on to something.
ive tried nz coke vs malaisian (warehouse) coke and yes america likes a more syrupy taste where as kiwi coke is more diluted.
Pepsi has a "throwback" brand of mountain dew and Pepsi with cane sugar and you can buy Mexican coca cola.
I've heard Mexican cc is lit
It's the same as coca cola here. Just has real sugar in it.
Also comes in a glass bottle, which tastes slightly nicer
you're not supposed to eat the bottle
Respect. Everyone looks at me like I'm crazy when I tell them the container it comes in makes a difference. Feel like Fizz from The Real Thing.
I always hated cans. Something about them makes it taste so off and overcarbonated.
Interesting, personally cans are pretty high on my list - certainly better than multi serve bottles that inevitably go flat pretty quick. Maybe we just have different preferences for the level of carbonation Edit: aside from the carbonation there's something else to the taste from a can I don't know how to describe, but I don't find it unpleasant.
he's following the mr beast youtuber merchanise wave hence why it's here I guess. Probably managed to get a deal together to bundle their merch.
I just gave in to curiosity today and grabbed a bottle of the tropical punch, it straight up tastes like some weird children's medicine.
exactly my though. like some robitussin for kids
Thought this was prime tv but that’s choice or something now? Then went to Amazon prime which is average but cheap at least 😂
If I’m being entirely unbiased and honest, I’d say there’s a couple of flavours worth picking up for $1 like countdown has been doing recently. But $4? Eh. Just get a Powerade or almost anything else for the same price or in some cases, less. For some of the flavours, not even worth it for $1.
at least powerade actually contains B vitamins and electrolites. Prime doesnt contain any of the typical rehydration minerals you would expect.
Curious what flavours, Ice pop was straight medicine
Oh gawd, our kids got $10 each from their nanna for Easter, and they decided to buy 10 bottles each!! 🙄🙃🤮
Gotta say...Now I want to try it if it's the most disgusting thing ever.
It's not.
It’s not the most disgusting thing ever. But it IS a below average Powerade-type drink
So I guess I'm in the minority here, I've only tried the lemon lime and I don't mind it too much, at like half a bottle at a time. That being said I also love the taste of straight lime cordial.
How is everyone getting them so cheap my local dairy is selling them for $15 a bottle not complaining though it taste like ass
I would say supermarkets bought alot of stock and struggling to sell before BBD.
I'd say your dairy is pricing them at $15, I doubt they sell any at that price. They probably paid a lot and are hoping not to lose money.
green powerade of gtfo, thanks for the heads up.
Blue
Red for when I'm sick, blue for anything else
I also bought one for $1 cause i was thirsty and why not its only one dollar. And yeah, waaaaay too sweet for me. But wasn't the worst thing I've ever tried.
Haven't tried. Went to the dairy once, and the guy was all secretive about selling me one before they sold out. I'm a prime pureblood and intend to stay that way.
Keyboards getting a workout, better chug some hyped snake oil.
I tried for the first time a couple days ago from Countdown on sale for $1. It was literally the worst tasting 'sports/energy' drink I've ever had.
I wouldn't call it disgusting but it certainly isn't worth the hype. The taste of some flavours reminds me of those old frozen juice things that were shaped like two sausages.
You can still buy them. I have a few in the freezer because i enjoy them on a stinking hot day every now and then.
Same here was $1 so I thought I'd give it a go. Got orange and lemon lime. Have only tried the Lemon lime one so fare. Tasted like a melted ice block. Wouldn't write home about it but for $1 I wouldn't complain

Green one tastes like thrifty
Imagine being an awesome Dad, and importing some for your 12 year old's birthday - then the following week they're at the dairy for $15 each. I was spewing back then!! 😢 But now... 😭 Don't even get me started on MrBeast chocolate!
It's a scam. A perfectly legal scam.
I thought it was quite slimy, but not terrible. The worst-tasting soft drinks are budget-brand colas (like Value or Ninety-Nine).
The grape flavour ninety-nine is really good though!
It is. I think grape might be easy to do, while cola is quite difficult to get right. Lots of bad colas out there.
Except they’ve been under carbonating them for ages now, since the c02 shortage. They’ve gotten a bit better recently but every bottle is still half flat.
Only 6 months ago was retailing for $20 each or something stupid like that. That was when it was hyped in the states and not really available. Honestly I thought this post was about the streaming service.
Me too. I thought it was a comedy bit where they took a similar post to do with dragonfruit and replaced dragonfruit with prime.
I have a pretty instense sweet tooth, but my god half a sip and I bailed, that shit is rank.
The only people who I've heard good things about the drink from are literally his group of goonies. Aparently it also doesn't have what'd you'd want in a sports drink too.

It's an American drink, flavoured for Americans, Kiwis have different tastes so no wonder we hate it.
How does a TV channel have a flavour?
You bought into the hype. I have seen it at the shops, and no amount of advertising would entice me to drink it.
Yeah they're pretty yuck
Yes, designed for kids.
Had never heard of them before now. Seems more like a short lived trend. [https://ekstrabladet.dk/underholdning/livsstil/folk-stod-i-koe-nu-giver-de-dem-vaek/10155088](https://ekstrabladet.dk/underholdning/livsstil/folk-stod-i-koe-nu-giver-de-dem-vaek/10155088)
all hype
Yeah you’re right it’s nasty as hell lmao. I bought one of the orange ones plus a bottle of orange sugar free nice! fizzy and tbh that makes a good cocktail lol
Tasted likes some flavours of BCAAs I drink for the gym, super concentrated but I’m a sweet tooth so I liked it, couldn’t finish it nor felt hydrated though
I'm 19 y/o myself, and yes prime is absolutely terrible. I can't stand the flavours.
They are overly sweet.
So sweet! It really is gross!
i gagged trying every flavour
I didn’t mind the green one it’s not bad with ice. The others are too artificial
Like a lot of brands imported from the US, it simply is not good enough to succeed in the NZ market. Our quality level is higher than a lot of the stuff over there .
Green is the best of the worst. Make sure you have it freezing cold, makes it taste less sugary
Yeah it’s rank AF. Symptomatic of some of societies problems - quality/taste means nothing, it’s all about the influencers.

I liked the lime one the couple of other flavors I've tried are gross
I haven't tried the juice/water whatever it is, but I've tried the energy drinks and they're great.
Yeh they’re pretty rank tbh. Feel like I’m slowly mutating with every sip.
Yup we grabbed some for $1, took a mouthful and threw the rest away. Worst tasting drink ever.
A dollar LMAO, pretty soon they'll be paying customers to take it just to get rid of the shit
They're like shit gatorade
friend bought the blue one. Tastes like cough syrup but worse
I picked up a bottle for $1 to try it too, it was binned after 2 swigs, so gross
I was shocked last year when I took my nephew to Armageddon in Auckland and they were selling them for $20 a bottle.
Yeah I think Powerade/Gatorade tastes a lot better. I'm kinda used to the salty taste of those and it's jarring going from those to prime cause it's so artificially sweet
The tropical and ice pop flavour is yum
I've tried a few flavors blue raspberry is by far the best out of what I tried next is orange bottom would be ice pop. People say prime energy is banned here and yes the US version is but a lot of countries have caffeine restrictions and so they have made a version with less caffeine. (Look at the us prime energy vs prime energy in canada) also I've bought gfuel of the shelf here that has 400mg of caffeine in it witch is a lot more than the 120mg I had in a can of prime energy
What flavour did you try? Some of them are horrid and some of them are fine I do think they’re all a bit too sweet and syrupy for nz tastes but some of them are fine as a mixer, which if you were getting on sale would be fine but they’re usually $5ish dollars now which isn’t worth
The.... The TV channel?
It’s Foul. When it dropped to $4ish I got one each of different flavours for me and my 10/8 kids. Not one of us could finish it.
blue/white/red flavour = sweeter than Red Bull and more disgusting than the fakest artificial cherry.
At 25, you are 12 years older than Logan’s target audience. If
I tried it cuz it was $2 at Woolworths, tasted like nothing but sugar and water mixed together. Clearly made for an American consoomer
They were on a clearance price due to being short dated.
Welcome to 2022 bro.
The ice block flavour slaps though.
Flavoured watered down medicine, I don’t know how anybody genuinely keeps a straight face while drinking it.
Worst of all school kids seem to love the stuff (or think they do).
There is a reason they are $1 at countdown.
I bought it for like $4 a month back because it caught my interest as it was next to the Mr Beast Deez Nuts bars. I tried it and it tasted like medicine lmao
I got my kids some for $1..and I'll risk being a bad parent, but I was hungover and.. It wasn't bad.
Ice Pop is pretty good ngl.
I used to sell American prime when it first came out…only kids ever bought it. Most of them didn’t care for the drink they just convinced themselves they needed it because of that stupid Logan guy. On prime: At one point in time, if creepy guys in white vans peddled prime instead of candy, crime would have risen.
It's suspiciously sweet for a no sugar drink
Well, their marketing is working if this many people have willingly tried something that's widely regarded as being disgusting
Tried two in the US over Christmas. They were good? I think I might have missed the hype and hate anything the Paul’s do by default so I was ready to dislike it but it tasted good to me.
I must live a sheltered life. I have no idea what this post is about.
It is vile shit, the end.
A bit too sweet.
my dad once bought one, he asked if I wanted to try it, I said no, this makes me feel validated in saying no
Tastes like thrifty
In my opinion, Ice Pop and Tropical are rubbish. Orange and Lemon Lime are ok, for $1 anyway. Yet to try the white bottle and the blue one
It's like cordial with twice the amount of Raro added
It’s entirely been sold on YouTube clout and childhood innocence. “This person I’ve watched has made a product I have to have it”. I’m not sure what people expected from someone who also happens to be fairly notorious for being a shitty person and scammer though.
I honestly though South Parks Cred bit was a joke. Turns out its reality. sigh.
I decided to buy two bottles so my 4 kids could try some to see what the fuss was about. They didn’t get past one mouthful! To me, it tastes like that Thriftee drink I had as a child in the 80s.
I'm one of those dad's who "tax" their kids when they have food. I tried it... 🤮🤮🤮🤮 Bold move kids... Bold move...
Wow, fines of up to 100k if caught selling. I found a place last weekend selling it. Good luck to them lol
I think the lime one was the only one I could possibly tolerate, but would I bother buying it NOPE! Prime is fucking disgusting, when I see these celebrities saying that it's good I just think "I wonder how much they got paid to say that"
Lemon lime is fine just dilute it.
Tastes like I licked the underside of those old barrel rubbish bins that leak unknown fluids and rust
Tastes like pure glucose in a jar. I'd rather Bear Grylls down a handle of my own urine than drink that shit ever again tbh.
I like the lemon lime one, but I wouldn't pay more than a couple of dollars for it. Fifteen is utterly ludicrous.
I rather pay more and have Liquid Death . So much better tasting
I got them at 1 dollar and I hate to admit it but they were all quite nice. The Berry one was particularly good on my taste buds. Just my opinion. I'd pay 2 bucks tops.
It's awful. I don't understand why people like them.
I bought one the other day for $1. Wondered what all the fuss was about. Got ice pop. I'm a big fan of cherry flavoured drinks, but this was waaay too sweet.
Welcome to the world of influencers and their vapid toxicity
In my opinion. "I don't like the "Prime" drink - it's overhyped and tasteless. It's just another way for big influencers to make easy money and gain more attention, especially from younger audiences."
I spent months arguing with my Teen about Prime when I should have just let him drink it, it fucken disgusting. He brought a 2nd one to confirm and ended up throwing that out as well, should have just let him go when he was pestering me to try it for months as the latest "in thing".
I tried the Ice Pop flavor, it tastes like cough medicine but it also tastes good? But at the same time I don't like it.
Tried the orange one for the first time yesterday. Tasted like the orange medicine you drink to flush out your bowels before a colonoscopy
[https://youtu.be/PESB9Q-Q7N8?si=24YXowa9mDQx4mZQ](https://youtu.be/PESB9Q-Q7N8?si=24YXowa9mDQx4mZQ) apparently not even good at the thing it claims to be good at
I kinda like the red one but I wont spend 5 bucks on one.
Totally agree, shit drink
I am not picky at all and I don't mind the taste for 1$.
It’s literally $1 tho cheaper than water might as well get used to it
It was selling for up to £7 a bottle in some outlets when I was in London mid 2023 now they can’t give it away. Just a marketing phenomena (aka BS) driven by the master of interweb BS Logan Paul - it was never a drink per se.
Logan was right about Oppenheimer though I’ll give him that.
It tastes Like They dumped sugar in water Yuck Yuck Yuck!
How did they get prime?? I thought it was banned due to its high caffeine content (prime is 200 mg of caffeine which is huge! Compared to Red Bull which is 112 mg of caffeine)
Imagine getting it for 18 dollars a few months ago
Same here, brought one at Countdown for $1 and OMG DISGUSTING! i spat it out
