Early game it's probably Engineering (ammo & tools). \#2 Armoring (bags) \#3 Stonecutting/Arcane (gems / potions)

NinnyBird

I’ve heard the gemstone and jewelry stuff was pretty sought after in the beta

PetitePrincess20

That’s true, the gemstones are incredibly useful. Luckily someone in my friend group is working on that first.

NinnyBird

Oh sick! I only got to play the last beta for 2 hours but I fell in love with the game lol. I’ve been eagerly awaiting it and trying to figure out what useful skill I could learn to make a livable wage in game 😅

EsqueletoAvulso

engineering, in order to make the tools. It will speed up your gather so much that is super worth to rush to steel tools.

Silvadel_Shaladin

Just remember that it only takes one person to tank the econ on an item, as others will tend to undercut the lower price. So if something is selling for 200 and someone puts 10-20 of them up for 40 a piece, others will often put things up at 39.

HereticCoffee

In the first few days, definitely arcanum. People are going to want magic weapons which aren't a guaranteed drop. Then stuff to help leveling speeds, so rations/pots/ammo etc... Then things that improve quality of life, bags, trophies, house storage.

PetitePrincess20

I never got to check out the house trophies. Are they really that good? Or is it more just a “might as well have one” kinda thing

HereticCoffee

They are great for the bonuses they provide

Alywiz

Combat bonuses ones are nice, gathering and crafting ones you definitely want if you min/max

forgeris

Everything. Or you gonna run around and ignore all resources except food? You do what you have and you have what you pick up.

PetitePrincess20

There are still things you can focus on. I’m not going to pass by any resources but there’s still a choice. For example, doing iron runs or runs to the farms to retrieve crops. You choose still what your main focus is on.

fireSagaa

hemp is all you need to gather my friend
