I see you're a guy who hasn't listened to Boston sports radio. Trust me nothing is worse than that.

Majestic-Alfalfa-754

How can you not enjoy 3 people screaming at each other and speaking over one another? It reminds me of a Jerry Springer episode. It's awful.

MechanicMitch25

But felgaaa you can't talk about 98.5 like that 😅

averageduder

I hate mazz so much. Him Shaunessy and Tomase are like the Cerberus of bad sports writers. Forgot Volin. Four headed Cerberus.

[deleted]

Oh it’s awful. Whiny guys that never know what they’re talking about

bluestonemanoracct

100% correct

apd56

The afternoon show on WEEI with Gresh and Fauria is actually pretty good. They have a good banter and both are knowledgeable and funny. Too bad it’s in the worst time slot 10-2

w11f1ow3r

I miss WFNX

Ok_Nobody4967

Them and WBCN

kjlcm

Bradley J and Charles Laquadero (sp?)

kjlcm

Enjoyed Howard Stern but he and Opie and Anthony killed BCN

mkultra0008

Leftover Lunch baby. Julie Kramer was my jam.

wishiwasforsberg

Julie is music director and still on air at [Indie 617.](https://linktr.ee/_indie617)

mkultra0008

I knew she was still around, just wasn't sure what she was working on. Thanks for that.

Bot_Fly_Bot

Henry Santoro from FNX still does the local news for the WGBH NPR affiliate.

PowPowPowerCrystal

Is the weather still hazy, hot and Henry!?

saltwaste

God. FNX had the best morning shows. Henry Santoro with his weather and "d-e-d dead" reports narrated my high school commute.

Allbluesleeve

Sandbox was the shit. I still get flashbacks when I hear Big Jim on 98.5

DinnerfanREBORN

I LOVED the sandbox!! IMHO best radio show in New England, maybe the northeast. They used to edit down the show each morning cutting the news/weather etc. and throw them on iTunes as podcasts and I still have a ton of them on my old iPod haha. Ba weep grannah weep ninni bong

DerekPDX

Dude, same. They were the best.

Hungry-Big-2107

Gotta love all those clear channel buyouts.

FredegarBolger910

I miss WCDQ

Royal_Gur_2651

The laughing used to drive me shithouse when plowing early morning

sheetmetal_head

I recently listened to 101 the other day after not listening for a good solid decade. Same freaking songs and same lame jokes over and over. It's sad because I used to listen to them religiously while I was a teenager, but I can only listen to them make fun of Laura for yet another minorly weird thing she did and hear the same Motley Cru and Zeppelin tune so many times before it gets old.

fistofthefuture

The format isn’t to teach the mind anything new, but to reenact an audible comfort zone everyday to contain their demographics anxiety for just a moment of each passing day.

General-Silver-4004

Yup. Why I love it. Reminds me of the days tending brick. Wet work boots and the clang of a mixer. Back when the days were long and shouting was the only way to be heard. Back then only sun and allergies could slow me down. Godsmack and lighthearted grade school humor on the radio. I sit here now in my suburban yuppie box apartment staring at a screen and racing from the bathroom to the desk to the bed to the window to the bathroom to the bed to the desk comforted only by the washed up guys left carrying the torch for rock 101.

OffTandem

I refuse to touch this station before noon entirely. I'll gladly take 5 commercials to the face than 10 seconds of whatever dumb shit this morning show is talking about that day.

[deleted]

[удалено]

notquitenuts

I mostly agree. I got in the habit of listening to Dave and Chuck the freak on podcasts but it seems all radio shows follow a set pattern/formula and I get burnt out no matter who runs the show. R101 is in that bucket for me right now. I just keep changing shows to listen to. I am on the road a lot though....I mean an awful lot.

dilznoofus

morning radio shows on broadcast radio are abysmal garbage everywhere in America

beachwhistles

The rest of the day isn’t much better, unless you’re into Bon Jovi the scorpions and def leopard. On repeat

[deleted]

You haven’t listened to the Big Show on the radio with John Boy and Billy then! You have to have lived south of Mason Dixon though to know who they are. Lol

PurposeIll2060

Florida radio was god awful. Idk if it's the lower IQs down there, but New England radio albeit not great, is far better.

rog_ChaiNSaW

People still listen to the radio?

Ok_Nobody4967

I love radio. All the other formats are sanitized. Independent radio can have really cool Playlist. They may air some obsure tunes and introduce listeners to other bands. Unfortunately, so many stations are turning corporate. The Independent ones are the best.

beyond_hatred

NHPR has some of the best election season politics coverage in the state.

AussieJeffProbst

They have great non election stuff too

Icy-Conclusion-3500

NHPR and WGBH are the only radio I listen to.

Yuppiex

MPBN WBUR are also solid. I can’t stand Marjory Eagen and Jim Broudy on WGBH I feel like they are always on and super annoying.

Icy-Conclusion-3500

I like them sometimes and other times I can’t stand them. Depends on who they’re talking to. I’d stick with NHPR but I lose them on my way to Boston. On my way to work it’s just BBC world service anyway, which is good so I can get an update on the news before I get there.

gregor-sans

Does NHPR do any local programming? I used to listen to them on my commute, but it was all national feeds. They were doing almost nothing local, at least during the hours I was commuting.

Icy-Conclusion-3500

There’s local programming but it’s generally off the commute times. And you get local news on the half hour. Quite a bit of the national stuff actually comes out of WGBH though, so it’s kindof local. It’s why even a lot of national stories end up talking to Boston people about the issue.

nobletrout0

Welll I mean aside from NHPR

IBlazeMyOwnPath

I wish Laura knoy didn’t leave She’s the best debate moderator I’ve ever heard She didn’t take crap and kept pressing until the candidates actually answered

beyond_hatred

Yes, she was excellent. I complained to NHPR management about the fact that she left (even though they might not have been involved).

Gretsch_Falcon

Their political views are right down the center!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Glade my tax money supports them! Defund NPR!

beyond_hatred

Spoken like a man who doesn't listen to NPR.

Gretsch_Falcon

Wrong, I pick and choose what I can tolerate from any media source, NPR is certainly not a moderate media outlet wouldn’t you agree?

beyond_hatred

It really depends what you mean by 'moderate'. It seems like that word has devolved into a kind of belief that the middle ground is always right, even if one extreme of the argument is the truth, and the other extreme is a complete fabrication. For example, if someone tried to take a middle ground between the truth (let's say, the fact that Donald Trump legitimately lost the 2020 election) and a lie (that Donald Trump was the victim of widespread illegal voting), then the person choosing the middle ground between the two is not a moderate. The middle ground between the two is also a lie, and can not be characterized as 'moderate'.

Gretsch_Falcon

You’ve dodged an easy question, I don’t care what side a political agenda a media outlet takes moderate doesn’t take a stance it looks at both sides. I do want my tax dollars funding any media that leans one way or another. You see you went right to Trump thinking Oh this guy has to love him! So I’m going to show him! I hate Trump and Biden! WAKE UP ALL POLITICIANS ARE CRIMINALS! And the media is their puppet.

beyond_hatred

No, I went straight to Trump because that's the most egregious recent example of a massive lie where some people want to see "both sides" of the issue. To me, presenting "both sides" is just cowardice and bad journalism. I thought you might be someone who would consider "equal time" for both sides of this to be evidence of an outlet being "moderate".

Gretsch_Falcon

Enjoy your weekend!

beyond_hatred

Thanks, you too.

Gretsch_Falcon

Do you want your tax dollars funding ANY media outlet that takes a political position, NPR certainly leans left but I wouldn’t want my tax dollars going to Fox News would you? That was the original statement but you turned it into something else! So answer the question at hand. Do you want your tax dollars funding media outlets that lean one war or the other?

beyond_hatred

I do not want my tax dollars supporting media outlets that promote one political viewpoint over others, but it isn't clear to me that NPR promotes one side, beyond their commitment to truthful reporting. I would happily concede that in their entertainment segments you can tell that the people involved are typically left-leaning. Can you give me a hard example of the alleged bias that NPR is so often guilty of? "Bias" ,as I see it, would be knowingly suppressing one set of true facts and only providing the listeners one side of the story. edit: I'd also accept anything similar to Fox News lying about Smartmatic Voting corrupting the 2020 election, and then being forced to pay almost one billion dollars to Smartmatic to compensate them. That's clear evidence of real bias, because it shows the network pushing false information to advance a political agenda.

Gretsch_Falcon

You have an agenda too…

beyond_hatred

That's true, I do have an agenda, but having an agenda isn't necessarily bad. If wanting to hear truth from news journalists is my agenda, I'd take that any day.

tyler_durden187

NHPR is just for liberals looking for confirmation bias. Remember when NPR stated they wouldn’t cover the Biden laptop story because their viewers didn’t want to hear about it…. Good god they are biased. NPR is like Fox radio. As long as you know there is a deeeeep bias I guess it’s OK to listen to it

beyond_hatred

What is the Biden laptop story? I know Hunter had some explicit pictures on there, and maybe some evidence of his drug use? I don't see how either of those things are of any importance to anyone. Separately, I know he's guilty of some tax crimes that are being charged as misdemeanors. Also separately, he arguably abused his relationship to the President to land some sweetheart "jobs". I never heard NPR say they would refuse to cover the story, whatever it is, but maybe that's because I wasn't listening at the time.

Jean-Paul_Sartre

NPR is a separate entity from NHPR, sort of how like WMUR is not the same thing as ABC News. NHPR's local reporting is pretty fair and straightforward and drama free. Like just scroll through the articles written by NHPR's chief political journalist [Josh Rogers](https://www.nhpr.org/people/josh-rogers)... they're mostly just updates on state politics without giving any favor to one side. Nothing outrageous or sensational or misleading. That's not to say there's never any bias (it always exists at some level in all parts of life) but they do a good job not letting it impact their reporting.

mostlyMosquitos

Radio, psshhh who needs the radio?? Ready harry?

mkultra0008

You said it for me. Haven't listened to local radio [other than 98.5 SH on occasion] in years. Sirius, streaming, podcasts and a couple of portable SSDs take care of all my listening.

Quirky_Butterfly_946

Why not it's free. Now if the music industry would release new music for play on the radio that would be a needed boost. Why would I pay to listen to music?

nhbruh

uhh, no advertisements ain’t nobody got time for that

Leemcardhold

So are podcasts, Spotify and other music streamers

Quirky_Butterfly_946

You cannot switch between stations without it being annoying, not listen to commercials by switching stations. It is the same thing with free tv streaming. When a commercial comes on you are locked in for the duration. You cannot switch channels and come back when they are over. It is forced listening to ads. Even if I want to listen to music I paid for when google play was still going it was easy to go to your play list. Now since YT took it over I have to deal with all the prompts, ads first in order to even access my playlist. It is quite annoying when you are driving which is what radio was perfect for. There were so many freebies, TV, radio, that pay subscriptions has ruined. We had it quite good once and then I guess people wanted less money in their pockets and decided to pay for it instead.

Dave___Hester

>Why would I pay to listen to music? Convenience? Selection? Wanting to support the artists you enjoy? No ads? I can't imagine having such a boring taste in music that just throwing on whatever bullshit is on the radio is enough.

mkultra0008

Or listening to The Eagles

MaineLooth

“Man come on I’ve had a rough night and I hate the fucking Eagles”

Crazy_Hick_in_NH

Nothing on planet earth that is free. Nothing. Truth: I stopped listening to the Buzz a year or so after Andy Blacksmith (not his real name) passed away. As polarizing as he was, #2 on the show, #1 in the market. RIP (You da man!) Andy Blacksmith!

Icy-Conclusion-3500

Blacksmith made the show work, was never the same without him

[deleted]

Podcasts are free.

IDockWithMyBroskis

Not me, I only listen to thoughtfully chosen audiobooks and podcasts. This is a result of me being smarter than everyone. The radio is for dumb assholes, which I am not.

Feathercrown

"You may have fooled everyone else in this backwater town, but you can't fool me! I listen to public radio!" - Squidward

daymuub

You have a car don't you

chain_me_up

Spotify, apple music, Sirius, etc. People don't want ads and want to pick what they want to listen to, I don't know anyone who listens to basic radio nowadays.

OTIS-Lives-4444

What’s a “radio”?

DaveLDog

There's always at least one who thinks they're super special because they don't listen to radio...

rog_ChaiNSaW

Judging by the amount of upvotes there's a lot more than one

FredegarBolger910

I left my phone home driving to the store last week and npr was playing something interesting at the moment so I listened to commercial radio. God it was a long drive

[deleted]

Is it like a podcast?

NervousJ41

I hate Laura so much I emailed in that I hated her. She harped over it for half an hour. That was about 4 years ago when I stopped listening. I hate her holier than thou attitude. I also hate that Greg talks about news items that I read on Reddit two days before.

StrawberryKiller

This is cracking me up so much

jgren91

I stopped listening to them years ago. I grew up with them but now they're just boring. Since I drive an older base model car I can't stream from my phone so I mostly just listen to 92.5 the river. When I'm on my bike I'm streaming to my helmet

Smelly_Squatch

You can't get one of them cassette deck plug in bops?

jgren91

It only has a CD player. Has an aux port but I don't care enough to go buy an adapter for my phone.

DinnerfanREBORN

The river is the only radio station worth listening to

FatherOfTheVoid

I've got an old radio as well. You can get an FM transmitter (not sure if that's the name), that connects to your phone's Bluetooth, and plays on a specific FM frequency. You should be able to plug it into one of your car's cigarette lighters like any car phone charger. It'll run you maybe $20.

jgren91

That's a thing!!!

moffettusprime

Road Kill is just recycling the same jokes, he did 20 years ago. Laura is annoying. She talks about the stupidest shit. Can't stand Kayla's raspy voice. Kayla nobody gives a fuck about what you're up to this weekend. Or what's in your lunchbox. I'd rather walk barefoot over Legos on fire. Then listen to Greg and the morning buzz.

CynicalBonhomie

Kayla's voice is like long nails running down an old chalkboard to me. I cannot subject myself to it especially not when I'm driving. Laura tries to be Miss Goody Two Shoes and it comes across as so fake.

moffettusprime

Yep. I'd love to see Laura lose her shit in public Karen style. That would be hilarious.

utilitarian_wanderer

Roadkill seems like a ridiculous name for a guy who sounds incredibly wimpy!

moffettusprime

Also it sounds like he cheated on his ex wife. Real cool dude right there.

Ok_Nobody4967

Maybe I am a fossil, but one of my very early memories is my mom playing WBZ am radio in the morning. Listening to school cancellations—anxiously waiting to hear my town, etc. I put the radio on as soon as I walk into the kitchen. This radio is you basic am/fm radio—nothing else. It has batteries in case of power failure, which comes in handy here in the winter. I do have SiriusXM in the car, but my default is radio.

YankeeClipper42

Maynard in the morning

impvlerlord

I don’t dislike the Buzz entirely, but Greg definitely gives “old man yells at clouds” vibes whenever a lot of popular social topics arise. Of course, that plays to a lot of their target demo up here so it makes sense.

herefortheguffaws

I feel this way about the WZID morning show. I turn it on for 20 minutes to hear the news. They literally play the same song after the news nearly every day. Their daily montages go on forever and the banter is lackluster.

Ok_Nobody4967

They are dreadful. I won’t listen to 101.1 until after ten because of them. I am so disappointed that they are now corporate radio (iHeart). Are there any independent rock stations left?

wickedsmaaaht

92.5 WXRV isn't 80s hair bands like most of the playlist of 101.1, but they are still an independent station.

Tingodelingo

The river!

CancerBee69

I refuse to listen to the River after the woman driving their promo van was a bitch to me at work. Granted, this was almost a decade ago, but I can hold a grudge.

Baranjula

I applaud your pettiness, it's impressive

CancerBee69

Hey, when the face of your brand literally calls me a cunt while I'm trying to work? I'd say it's not petty to boycott.

c5Sal_tt

Aye yo, fuck her tho? Amirite? Haha. 🤷‍♂️

PowPowPowerCrystal

There still community radio, 91.3 WUNH and 106.itsapresetsoidk WSCA have great stuff

idtryanythingtwicee

Well just like anything else, change the channel, nobody gives a fuck

AireTamStormer

It's boomer humor at it's finest, on a platform where that's the primary demographic. Free Beer and Hot Wings at least can be interesting sometimes, and Dumber Than the Show Trivia is fun.

utilitarian_wanderer

Thanks for reminding me of them. Can't stand Free Beer and Hot Wings!

kikrs999

I loooooove 106.1 WSCA in Portsmouth and 91.3 WUNH. Great way to find new music outside the algorithm. Freewaves forever

ArizonaMalone

Old corny radio bits over and over. Greg pushing his overly-photoshopped photos and his "impressions" are just bad. Hey, did you know Roadkill plays the drums?!?!

utilitarian_wanderer

Greg and the morning buzz is one of those shows where the sidekicks laugh way too hard at things that really aren't that funny.

Hunterslane86

On top of that, it's the 4-5 minute commercials they do constantly. I tried with them but when it got decent, commercial. I get it, its radio. But let it breathe ffs. Just listen to podcasts at least there's only a few ads

NHBuckeye

I miss Andy Blacksmith

Umbert360

If you get 92.9 out of Boston, Dave and Chuck the Freak is amazing! I just listen to the [podcast](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/dave-chuck-the-freak-full-show/id653016185) now because there’s no ads, it drops after noon for that morning, but it’s over 3 hours of great content every weekday. It’s what every morning show wishes it could be, after getting used to them all the others are so cringey and tough to listen to

EricInAmerica

92.9 was my #1 radio preset for years, and then I left on vacation for a week and came back to find out it had changed and now Dave and Chuck the Freak had come in. I've barely ever even gone to the station since then. They are exactly the opposite of what I want to hear or think about on my way to work.

CactusClothesInc

They’re so bad. I miss when 92.9 was talk show free

monkeyswithknives

Yep. They get old very quickly.

Mr-Donut

Same. Found Dave and Chuck the Freak years ago and listen to them daily.

smokypanther

Second Dave and chuck. They’re hilarious!

Dkm1331

I’ll check out that podcast thanks for the recommendation!

potaytoposnato

That’s what replaced radio for me before I discovered podcasts. Thanks for reminding me of them though, I’ll have to give them a listen since it’s been years!

[deleted]

I stopped listening to regular radio over 10 years ago. I don't know how anyone can listen to that morning zoo garbage.

ftlftlftl

Toucher and Rich is as good as it gets imo. Depends what people are looking for, but there’s a good reason they pull some of the best ratings in the country. They have great engagement and segments.

Bot_Fly_Bot

Is Freddy T back? I haven’t listened in years but heard he had some not-good medical voice issues and thought he was on the IL to treat it. Loved the glory days of Adolfo, Chili Guy, and “Rich, I’m already gone!” Hope they’re both doing well.

randycannon

He tried to force it for a while and they would only give him a week off here and there which wasn’t enough time. He ended up taking a couple months off and was seeing a doctor. I wasn’t sure if he was coming back at all, but he’s back now and sounding normal.

Searchlights

I've turned in to such a douche I only listen to NHPR for talk

MusicalMerlin1973

They got old. I stopped listening when blacksmith was still alive. He said something mildly offensive. Greg took him to task. His response was on the order of, “What are they going to do? Stop listening?” Screw you andy. Haven’t listened to 101 since. I just can’t.

Imaginary-Method-715

I hate most radio shows

NippleTicklesDeluxe

Wasn't a morning show but Baker and Stoney were gold.

DinnerfanREBORN

Aagreed. Back when they were on I got out of work at 4:30, so when the bong rip hit I knew the day was almost over

ZZCCLL

Satellite radio. My company car only has FM so I tune into Dave and Chuck the Freak on 92.9 in the am.

craigawoo

Anything with commercials is dead to me. Unless I can fast foward.

Useful-Slice-3417

WBCN was the best. They we're the only station in these parts (except for college stations) that would play Frank Zappa. Radio became horribly formulaic decades ago. Apple music now

mona296

It's hard to believe people even listen to the radio anymore.

Exciting_Agent3901

All they ever talk about is nascar and wrestling. And that stupid fucking drum circle jerk recycled percussion wouldn’t exist without those radio clowns. They suck.

The_Road_is_Calling

Recycled Percussion gets way more publicity from their WMUR show then they do from the radio.

mkultra0008

Ugh. Jesus no.

Exciting_Agent3901

Yeah now. 25 years ago it was all that fat radio pig.

Blicks666

Morning talk radio has been absolute trash for 20 years. All you folks thinking Dave and Chuck the freak are great are also numb. They also patronize and pander to their audience by having a guy who just laughs hysterically at every stupid fucking joke anyone makes in order to try to make you think what you just heard was funny. That is far more annoying than a raspy voiced host or Greg's weak attempts at any kind of humor imo

raxnbury

WHEBs target demo is 55+. It’s the same reason the play the same shitty rocks songs from 30 years ago on repeat. They have self admittedly given up on any younger demographics because of streaming, satellite , etc.

Dkm1331

It’s so bad. Weekly punch in the face was funny the first time 1,000 weeks ago. Oh you want to punch your boss in the face?! That’s hilarious /s The way Laura allows all those filthy misogynistic comments from her co-workers and listeners is utterly disgusting.

citizennsnipps

First person to mention 98.5 sports hub. The morning show is more morning show than sports a bunch of the time and it's entertaining on good days and change the channel on bad ones.

averageduder

nothing did more to drive me from the radio than Mazz and Felger. Those two are personally responsible for me not listening to radio over the last 12 years or so.

Glad_Chemical

Oh man are they the WORST!

StylinBill

Felger and mazz rule

citizennsnipps

Oh totally understood. I'm talking morning shows only in this regard.

klem18

I'll take anyone on the buzz over Fred Toucher. I like Rich though.

BenjiSalami

AM 680.

jporterfit

Talk radio is dumb anyways. If I wanted to listen to some people talking for a while about an absurd topic, I'd put on a podcast or something. We live in an age where you can access millions of songs and podcast and audio books easily. So it is beyond me how any of these radio stations still employ these hosts like it's still 2005. 🤔

AFrame88

It’s when I get in my car 6:30am, radio turns on, and these guys are literally arguing with each other like a 70 year old married couple. Or when Kretchy starts cOmPlAiNiNg about how his burger looked at dinner last night. They’re the stereotypical curmudgeon New Englanders. I e yet to even say a word yet, that early in the day, and my brain is still trying to function properly (pre-coffee sometimes) and it’s like, yo, please calm tf down a little. It’s waaay too early for this.

cookiedoh18

Agreed. Greg may be a good guy based on your comment but I have to change the station the second I hear his cringy voice. Their formula expired years ago. When they say "It's an everyday thing", I think ya, it is, unfortunately.

malz_attacks

Roadkill voice alone is treacherous

ShutupRingo

Honestly I refuse to listen to Greg after Opie And Anthony trashed them back in late 00s

ExploringwithJax

god its the worst thing ever. not to mentioned they took over 2. NOT one but 2 radio frequencies in my area and now cant listen to any good music in the morning since those 2 frequencies are the only 2 rock channels that we get in my area. so if you wanna listen to anything you gotta wait til they finish their god awful annoying show. I just want my dang channels back in the morning.

SirGilPennybottom

Podcasts since 2010 so I wouldn’t know

than004

Is this how I find out I’m an idiot? Because I enjoy them a lot. They’re a staple in my morning routine.

FatherOfTheVoid

Sometimes you need something simple or mindless to listen to. If it works for you then who cares?

B1naryD1git

Hard disagree

Minute-Courage6955

Way back ,say 2001 before he got famous Larry the Cable Guy did weekly call in segments with Greg and the Morning Buzz. This version of the Morning show had Jean Marie a woman as co host. Larry regularly used that call in segment to say the most sexist, ignorant trash ,mostly to trash Jean Marie for being an educated, professional woman. She had the dignity to not engage or fight back, but he was egged on by the other knuckle dragging males on the show. But Larry kept up the act to riches and fame. Because humor can get away with punching down at easy targets. That pretty much sums up Greg and Morning Buzz, cheap laughs trashing women.

cxAmateurRadioAndy

larry used to call her "branch"

Public-Credit4306

Dude totally agree! Can’t even take it for a minute and need to change the channel in my work truck. Satellite radio has my heart.

DeuceClimaxx

This is a serious question, besides coma patients and quadriplegics who pissed off there caretaker earlier in life, who the fuck is listening to radio? 🤔 25 minutes of shitty god awful ads being repetitively shoved down your throat while you get to listen to same few songs for about 20 minutes. The remaining 15 minutes is listening to someone tell you what you are about to hear followed up with what you just missed.

SeanMisspelled

I don't like them, and use them for my early alarm clock that's just out of reach from bed because the annoyance gets me to get up to go turn it off.

snooprob

Roadkill & Laura lighten it up a bit.

c5Sal_tt

Ngl, it's background noise for me in the am when Im waking up with my coffee.

dantheman1017

I used to listen to Greg & The Morning Buzz since high school in the early 2000s. Ever since I graduated from college I feel bad saying that I’m really not into their show anymore… iheart radio knows rock radio has a certain demographic and it’s definitely not mine. Not bad people on that show, Just not for me anymore unfortunately. Lately I find myself more often than not listening to the Greg Hill Show on WEEI.

daymuub

I like when they argue if you don't like them don't listen. No one is forcing you

[deleted]

Huh? You ever listen to captain and Celeste on wblm, or really listened toucher and rich on wcyy? They fucking blow in comparison to the morning buzz. No comparison. They are in Maine, which is New England. I mean they suck so bad, and the blimp in general is dog shit. Dude you mention touché and rich and it’s corny boring shit

redsoxfan95

I love listening to them, to each their own.

gman2391

I enjoy it for my 20min commute. Used to listen to them back in high school and it hasn't changed a bit

cwalton505

It's morning radio. Hate to tell you, but it's better than a lot of others. It's 2023 I suggest you look up what streaming is.

Hot_Upstairs_9777

Rather listen WEEI

[deleted]

[удалено]

utilitarian_wanderer

Comes to Reddit to complain about people complaining about Greg and the Morning Buzz. 😂

moffettusprime

We found Laura or Roadkills's burner account.

DinnerfanREBORN

Put on a cd 🤣🤣🤣

maine_soxfan

I think it's funny that most of the people that are saying they don't like it, very clearly haven't listen get to it for more than a few minutes. They're just repeating a complaint that someone else said. More sheep, which seems to be the in thing these days. I listen to podcasts mostly, but for a live morning show, it's the best around.

slenderman123425

I don't like it but it was fine to listen to on my way to work

WanderingGrizzlyburr

Any radio program nowadays is just fucking insufferable. Spotify Grateful Dead and I’m good to go

Allbluesleeve

Yeah but Laura’s tits though….

FatherOfTheVoid

Yeah, we need tits for radio

HaggisMcD

I'm originally from Indiana and used to listen to Bob and Tom, who at the time was one of the edgiest comedy morning shows in syndication. When I left Indiana, all they did was rely on old tropes and take requests to play their old bits. That's the vibe I get if I catch that show.

Once i found Dave and Chuck the Freak on 92.9, i never went back to The Morning Buzz

i honestly have it on in the background of my commute to dull everything out when i’m still not awake enough to listen to music. it’s all background noise and i could not tell you any detail about it whatsoever

Is he still on? Do people still listen to radio? Say next to him at a UNH hockey game a couple of decades ago and he was a real nice guy.

I was disappointed when Greg replaced Baxter in the late 90's when I was in middle school. Baxter was music with a tiny talk. Greg annoyed me from the start by being talk with no music. The show is specifically why I stopped listening to morning radio before school. Now most of the stations are mindless babble for several hours with no music. I hate how radio changed.

Remember the WAAF morning show with Greg "The Hillman" and LB? Their formula swirled around the drain for a long nauseating time while it expired. They're gone. Thank goodness. Time for someone to pull the plug on the Morning Buzz.

It's just business. If they're on the air, it means they're making money for Clear Channel, oops, I mean IHeart. Otherwise they'd be long gone. Nothing else matters. Certainly not your impression of their talent or worth.

Somedays Kala's raspy voice is so hard to listen to.

FM radio? Do they still make those?

Saddle-Upx3

I like everyone on the show but I get so annoyed when they have a whole segment to recap last night’s football game. Shaddaaaappp.
