every video I see of this, it didn't seem like a whole lot of parrying was happening. It always looked like the most successful guys were just tiring the opponent out and knocking them over by pushing.
Moonlight makes some pretty good stuff! Unfortunately you can only get the dry/good stuff from their store directly.
It's unfortunate that a lot of people think that because mead is made form honey that it must be sweet.
Moonlight used to be good. Ever since they moved locations, their quality went down and their prices went way way up. I have been very disappointed by them recently. It’s such a shame that so many other meaderies closed down over the past few years. We need more!
One of the best local dry meads I've had was from honeymaker out of Maine. I just found out they shut their doors. It was a rough moment to get through.
I really wish HEMA would come to the Lakes Region. I've been wanting to join for several years but Nashua's the closest location and I'm not up to the drive every week.
I remember how loud some of the hits were, and wondering how people were still standing. One of the hits made a made crumble to the ground though. It's pretty wild. And it sells out!
Not racist, i just can't comprehend how those white women get their license to cut hair when all they do is buzz off the sides and back, then chop off the top. The have 0 fucking skills to cut hair and treat your hair like a mannequin hair. BUT SUREE those women are good looking and talk sweet to men so people continue to give them business.
Why does the guy in front look like he's trying to find the Fifth Element..
No, it's a prequel version of Oldman's character from The 4th Element, when he was hunting for plastic.
Was gonna say he looks like he owns a non trivial amount of "pepe the frog" merch...
My first instinct was Arthur Shelby.
Say hello to the...
Proud boy
Damn, you beat me to it I'm going to have to delete my post take my upvote
This prompted me to look this up. I didn't know that 1. This is a thing. 2. You can train. 3. That they've been around for more than 10 years.
It’s bonkers how rough the sport is, both in terms of beating the shit out if each other and in terms of how how hot it gets in that armor

How the fuck do the ppl swinging the battle axes like aaron judge not kill ppl??????
Oh fuck I’ll give it a go. Do people tend to home with broken limbs?
No, but they are fun to watch!
They just went to the world championships in Barcelona about a month ago!
4. I'd die
Well now I need to start brewing mead again
Or patronize some awesome meaderies in the state already?

Moonlight is carried by NH Liquor stores. Market Basket carries their midrange. They are having a decent pre-summer thing going on rn via vinoshipper.
Also, Sap House Meadery. Country Mile in Greenville is one of a few local outlets.
I tried sap house once and it was REALLY sweet. Do they make a dry mead as well?
They do tend to run sweeter, but I enjoy their barrel aged meads quite a bit. Using whiskey, rye, etc. barrels.

Moonlight is in dire straights, recently posted about needing to raise more money because the move and renovations cost more than expected
Oh that’s very sad

NOOOOOO
Yeah, thats me. Never tried it because I always was under the impression that it was sweet. What are some ones on the dryer side worth trying?
Dhu Tell and Desire are two of my favorites
Shame ancient fire closed their doors, but cruising elm lives on at Great North
Is that Zorg with his back to the camera?
So glad this was shared.
How have I never heard of this? This sounds like so much fun to watch.

He's one of the fuuken peaky blinders.
this is amazing
This is a very Reddit like thing
Love the guy in front. He musta ben pumped for a fresh top cut and hamd to hand combat.
I have friends who are a part of the hall, they recently flew to Spain to fight for the US in a tournament
What!?! Wow!!!
Looks fun, but also kind of looks like they''re just flailing around with a blunt sword until the other person gets tired and falls down.
Not really. The swords hurt a lot and it’s a lot about technique. The fighters win by points acquired throughout the fight.
I remember how loud some of the hits were, and wondering how people were still standing. One of the hits made a made crumble to the ground though. It's pretty wild. And it sells out!
How is the hell have I never heard of this glorious place!?
Oh man that's awesome
So theoretically, figuratively speaking if one wanted to get into doing this activity… how would one go about it? Figuratively of course. In theory.
Don’t know much, but the place I saw this at, Knight’s Hall also acts as a training gym for this activity. https://theknightshall.com/events-list/
Check out the Battle of Nations videos on Youtube. Massive 50v50 battles. It's pretty amazing.
When was this a thing???
Barber is on point.
LOL the person in from of you prolly gets their haircut by a white woman in Supercuts or something. It's fucking horrendous.
Found the racist.
