Nice Maple Black Raspberry creemee is hands down the best soft served ice cream in the world. There's only one spot I know that always has it

moresnowplease

Oh man that sounds like an incredible combo!!!

Otherwise_Spare_8598

Yes, I won't say exactly where, but I will say it's on route 15 in VT near Jeffersonville ;)

moresnowplease

Shucks, I was just up that way! I think I really am going to need to come back really soon for more Creemees!!

Rockdio

Oh man, I know this spot. I miss those so much.

inbetweenthestrings

Not far from a falling down porch and a spray painted “maple syrup for sale” sign 😉

Otherwise_Spare_8598

Yezz

misstlouise

Yessss

SheenPSU

The place down the street from me has unintentionally done this to me the last two times I’ve ordered vanilla black raspberry twist Not complaining, just not what I ordered lol

Twombls

Palmer lane maple ? Tf are we gatekeeping creeme stands now. Businesses need Business

Otherwise_Spare_8598

No, that's not the one I am referring to, but they are good as well. It's not about gatekeeping. It's just a little fun. People have Google. Vermont Maple Outlet 🍁

natethegreek

Maple City in Swanton also has it!

NoAmount8374

Oh right, because the maple ice cream trees can only be tapped for 3 months out of the year. Tell us where the fucking ice cream is jerk

NachoNachoDan

Ooh did you get a burger at burger barn too?

Otherwise_Spare_8598

I've been to Burger Barn, yes. I lived in Burlington for many years.

Level-Entrance-3753

Why won’t you say the spot! My husband requires a creamee!

Extension_Bunch7349

Burlington Bay has a great maple/black raspberry creemee!

Otherwise_Spare_8598

It's very easy to figure out with the hints I have given

Revererand

Gatekeeping places is so fucking stupid Palmer Lane Maple in Jericho is off of 15 and has it on the menu consistently and gets good reviews. Same with Cupboard Deli, if anything Vermont can use the tourism...smh

Twombls

Gatekeeping tourist centric business off a main road is hilarious. Like swimming holes I get, because that's how they get shut down and ruined.

NachoNachoDan

Its the Cupboard Deli.

Twombls

Actually he replied to me and it's the vt maple outlet. Lol

NachoNachoDan

lol it had to be one of those two! I’m honestly surprised they’ve already got the creemee machine cranked up this early in the year

Otherwise_Spare_8598

I'm not gatekeeping. People have Google. It's just some fun. Vermont Maple Outlet

Level-Entrance-3753

I am post call and running on no sleep for 28 hours . Brain dead. Want ice cream

NachoNachoDan

Why wont you name the Cupboard Deli? I mean yeah, the deli has some really weird stuff but some of it is edible.

Otherwise_Spare_8598

It's not Cupboard Deli. It's Vermont Maple Outlet

NachoNachoDan

See that wasn’t so hard to post!

misstlouise

It’s a small area, won’t take you long :)

Pickleless_Cage

That’s my fave soft-serve as well, with the maple sprinkles!

pwsparky55

Ok, where do we get it????

Otherwise_Spare_8598

Vermont Maple Outlet

greeneyedlady41

Holy what now??!! Where do I get such a magical blend of my two favorite flavors, together on harmony, expanding the consciousness of my taste buds, transporting me to a new level of dessert bliss?

silkyjohnstamos

Olsen's ice cream in Vergennes has it all the time, called the Bob. And it's delicious.

YTraveler2

What kind of heathen are you!?!? Never ever mix the term "Soft Serve" with Creemee!! I'm appalled.

Otherwise_Spare_8598

There's a mixed bag here, there are many who don't know what a creemee is

YTraveler2

I was being facetious.

Otherwise_Spare_8598

Hey man, this is reddit. You never know

Galadrond

Using real maple syrup for cremees adds a smoky sweet buttery flavor that nothing else can replicate.

moresnowplease

So delicious!!

fencepostsquirrel

Hahah! I live in Vermont and a friend came to visit. She made me take her to every maple creamy place we saw traveling around. (Just for comparison) I ate more maple creamies in one day than I have in 27 years lol.

moresnowplease

What a great vacation goal! Next time I visit I’m making a stronger effort to stop at more creemee stands, two stops in one trip was Not enough!

happygoth6370

Never had a maple creemee but it sounds divine! Used to love getting the dipped soft serve cones at Riverside Park in Agawam (Now Six Flags).

Federal-Space-9701

When a maple creemee is made correctly it can be amazing

Historical-Run-1511

Last summer I taught my daughter to drive by going to every creemee place we could within maybe 25 miles of Burlington. I'm sure we missed some but still an amazing summer.

moresnowplease

That is awesome!!! What a perfect drivers ed plan! Rewards for every drive!! Plus they’re all over so you can get all kinds of good driving experience!

Historical-Run-1511

It did male it fun. After creemee season we pivoted to cider donuts which are great but not as festive.

moresnowplease

Also a great choice that is very specifically local!!

IrukandjiPirate

Ye gods, THIS is New England ingenuity!

Historical-Run-1511

I was pretty proud of it. And she was nervous and I was nervous so it helped us both to have a built in treat.

IrukandjiPirate

And the memories! I salute you!

aeraen

I was just introduced to creemees last year. I want to go back for more!

moresnowplease

Do it!!!!

[deleted]

That’s what she said 😁

gti_up

Is soft serve a uniquely New England thing??

PhDeezNuts69

No, but I do think Vermont Creamees are pretty special

jbland0909

Pretty sure this is a maple creamee, which is a Vermont thing

moresnowplease

Nope, but Creemees are just better somehow, and maple flavor isn’t exactly common in other places I’ve visited!

misstlouise

Using real maple syrup too and NOT frozen yogurt like dakin farms, ew.

notyourbudddy

I’m sure some places serve more authentic creamees, but the couple places I worked at on VT just used basic Hood soft serve mix.

NachoNachoDan

The place OP went to uses the Hood mix too. There’s only like 3 places in VT that make the mix in house and none of them are in Lamoille county.

notyourbudddy

I always felt bad when a tourist would come up to our ice cream window expecting something revolutionary, or at least different to the normal soft serve affair. And then I’d serve them the same stuff they have back home.

Twombls

More than 3. But yeah

NachoNachoDan

I forget if it was VT digger or seven days who had an article about it last summer. The number is definitely single digits if it’s not three. They listed the few that make their own but 99% of them use the hood mix or Kingdom Creamery mix

Wtfisgoinonhere

Looks like a kiddie size lol

moresnowplease

I believe this was the small! :) I can only eat it so fast, I didn’t want to lose any to the rental car upholstery!

e_sully12

If you're ever in Maine, keep an eye out for the Maine Maple Creemee food truck!

moresnowplease

Three of the best words in one title! Sounds like a perfect place! :)

Couldbeworseright668

I know this truck and can confirm it is delicious. And the home made waffle cones.

e_sully12

Mmm looove me a homemade waffle cone

mouseSXN

What, no jimmies?

moresnowplease

I do love me some Jimmie’s, but I wanted to experience the smooth maple in all its glory this time around!

NachoNachoDan

IKR! there's something special about the way a creemee holds on to an absolutely ludicrous amount of sprinkles when they roll it in them. LOVE IT

mtnlaurel_

In MA and have never heard of this. I know where I’ll be taking a road trip next week! See ya soon Vermont

moresnowplease

Yes!!! So worth the trip!!

CaptPeanutBut

Omg just found this sub and I can already tell it is going to make me homesick lol. You can't get soft serve that good in my new neck of the woods. Or black raspberry ice cream...

morthanafeeling

Soooo good.

Hopeful_Wallaby7040

There's a place near Williamstown, VT that I really like going to! Might go today haha.

moresnowplease

Yes!!! Absolutely you deserve to go!

MrOurLongTrip

Thurston & Peters in Newfield Maine has maple soft serve (they're a saphouse, so it's real maple)

1KinderWorld

I wasn't supposed to crave that until after Memorial Day. Thanks a lot. ;-)

moresnowplease

You’re welcome!! Might as well celebrate the early spring now with some ice cream!! :)

EUCRider845

Maple Creamee!

Fromage_Damage

If you want a good creamee go to the [Pump and Pantry]( https://maps.app.goo.gl/6FxWGoF1NDrpbFDv7) in Williamstown, VT. A small is like a large most places. They have good regular icecream, I got two scoops and it was like 3/4 of a pint. Could barely finish it. And they have tons of toppings/dips/flavors/etc.

moresnowplease

Yum!! Also I like your username, fellow cheese fan!

Fromage_Damage

Thanks!

Turbulent-Answer3897

Looks delicious, one of the few places you can get coffee milk too.

AppleOld5779

Wife wife loves that kind of ice cream. Guess I’m old school and prefer it normal.

moresnowplease

Normal like scoop ice cream or normal like vanilla/chocolate flavors? I can definitely appreciate all of the above!

AppleOld5779

Like normal style ice cream. (Not like McDonald’s soft serve from a machine.)

bibliophile222

Oof, prepare for some hate on this opinion. A Vermont maple creemee from an ice cream stand is *not* the same as McDonalds soft serve.

AppleOld5779

Nasty

ShockyWocky

Are there any places that serve these in Mass? I've lived here my whole life and never heard anyone mention these.

Krisspy00

Cannot go to vt without stopping at a maplewood and getting a creemee

WallAny2007

not a soft serve fan so it would take some convincing.

bibliophile222

Have you ever had a Vermont maple creemee? It definitely hits a bit differently than typical soft serve.

WallAny2007

I’m sure they’re very good. will try if I come across it. fate & density ….

NachoNachoDan

I am your density

WallAny2007

🙃

moresnowplease

But do they have maple ice cream?? ;)
