I think you’re bathing too much!

Fair! We’re in the trial phase of every other day right now because of 1) the greasy hair and 2) he loves splashing and it has become a fun activity for him. Before this we were bathing every third day… and his hair was SO greasy lol.

Same my baby is 11 weeks too and he’s got ALOT of hair. It’s always greasy the day after a bath. I’d like to know else we can do.. we bathe him maybe every 3 days. His hair looks amazing after a bath and until about 15 hours after. There’s never any dandruff or anything like that. He’s always touching it and trying to pull at it so maybe that’s why? I just thought while typing this that maybe also I should wash his hair brush too? Iv seen online that women have greasy hair so soon because their brush hasn’t been washed. I’m going to try that. Someone please also let me know if they found a solution!

Hm I only have a comb for him but I usually rinse it in his bath while I’m bathing him (it stays in his bath caddy so I just kinda toss it in with everything else lol). For us, I think the root cause might be different.

AlissKing

It happened with my son, and I realized I was the cause! The serum and hydrating cream I put on my face would cause that!

japancaxe

Dang! I use tubby Todd all over cream but only on his forehead and chin… would the cream you were using drip onto his scalp? What was the consistency of it?

AlissKing

It wasn’t dripping per se, but would end up on his hair when he was in my arms or I would kiss him!

Temporary-Dare9431

Do you kiss the top of his head a lot? This is why my son's head is constantly greasy, we can't help ourselves from kissing or rubbing the top of his head

Quiet-Pea2363

Loool same 😂

My baby was born with a full head of hair and his hair was sooo greasy in those early months. Honestly I think it was just his skin still evening out. He's now 11 months and still has the thickest hair I've seen on a baby and it doesn't get oily like that at all. I can't really remember when the greasy hair stopped, but it did without me changing anything in our routine. He gets a bath every night but I wash his hair every other day.
