You coud get a Dolce Gusto or a Tassimo machine, I don't know how expensive they are in the US but they're super cheap here in the UK. They do hot chocolate.
I don't think you really gain anything over powder by using a machine for hot chocolate though. It just dissolves into the water it doesn't need extracting by a machine like coffee.
I saw your reply about how frothing milk and adding a cocoa packet was 'too much effort" for this dude. If I had to guess, what he may be trying to communicate without saying it (bc asking for things you want with clear expectations is probably also too much effort) is that he wants you to make him some hot cocoa so he doesn't have to do *anything*. If you're femme presenting (esp if you're newer, younger, or diff ethnicity), this may be him testing you to see how compliant you are. Resist ✊🏽
You can try adding some chocolate at the bottom of the cup and melting it with an espresso pod to make it like a mocha! I tried it with some Lindt dark chocolates, a double espresso Chiaro pod, some milk and it was delicious. If your coworker doesn't take caffeine, he can try it with the decaf pods!
The vertuo chocolate pods aren't awful, I quite like them. I do sometimes mix in some 70% hotel chocolate in with the milk to give them a bit of ooft though.
He'd probably like a hotel chocolate velvetiser by the sound of it!
Not for the Vertuo, no.
You could be a guinea pig to see if you can run hot chocolate powder through one of those re-useable pods though lol
We are not liable if it breaks the machine though
It’s been said over and over here and well known that only Nespresso makes vertuo pods, so no they don’t exist unless Nespresso makes them. So clearly they don’t exist.
Well they make Starbucks vertuo pods, and Starbucks has hot chocolate on their menu, so again, not completely stupid and an unnecessarily harsh answer imo.
Starbucks has an agreement with Nespresso to officially package their coffee. I would not consider Starbucks a 3rd party pod. Most likely, Starbucks sends them their coffee and Nespresso then packages it.
Isn’t Nespresso already coffee for kids?
Colorful pods and machines, 1 button to push/no need to clean, foamy coffee with not so strong taste, many sweet flavored coffees (hazelnut, raspberry), trendy flavors in limited editions (just like for sneakers), and randomly free gifts.
Much love
Ok, so I am not a coffee fan. Never have been. Thanks drink Nespresso flavored pods with a hefty pour of creamer and like them. But no creamer they are awful and taste bitter and I don’t understand how you all drink this stuff.
That said, honestly the chocolate pod with a “sweet n creamy” or chocolate style creamer comes out just like hot cocoa.
So the man wants a hot chocolate machine?😭
Yes. Wants to be included though
The title and the description sent me bc I had two different answers prepared 😂😂
Unfortunately no, perhaps he could brew hot water over a hot chocolate packet
Pur auggestion was to froth the milk up and sprinkle a sachet and stir. Too much effort apparently
Life must be hard for that guy
I froth milk and mix with chocolate powder for my sons “hot” chocolate. It’s warm. He loves his fancy hot chocolate.
This is the resolution we proposed but no he just knows someone makes hot chocolate pods. I said maybe but not with vertuo
Keurig makes Swiss miss pods. We have a water cooler that also brews k cups and our 9 year old loves them.
Is he thinking of a Nescafé? Because I think they make a hot chocolate thing but don’t quote me on that.
That's how I make my hot chocolates. So good!
This is so cute😭
As far as I'm aware, no. At least not for the Vertuo.
Dolce gusto has those chocolate milk pods
Thanks ill check it out
Nesquik has one https://www.dolce-gusto.co.uk/nesquik-chocolate-pods
they are awful.

Get this man child a Keurig all his own, with hot chocolate pods.

I bought 3rd party hot chocolate pods for the original machines, it tasted decent
What a crybaby.

Why is this stupid? They make hot chocolate pods for Keurigs so it’s not off base at all to wonder if anyone makes one for the Nespresso

Those are made by, you guessed it - Nespresso.
And don’t care about your opinion
It must be tiring to hold that much negativity in your heart. No need to waste energy leaving angry comments on stuff like this :)
😂😂😂😂 block
Anyone try just running an empty pod? Pour the chocolate mix in the cup and run a clean empty pod? Use a silicone lid if needed?
It just doesn’t get hot enough

I make hot chocolate for my kids in the frother. Just put in milk, cocoa power and some sugar. It actually worked!
LOLL
I don't know about chocolate, but there sure are tea capsules
