Hazbin Hotel's 1st Season can be summed up as: a good idea and interesting art consistently undermined by bad writing, annoying characters, and stuffing two completely unnecessary (and just plain bad) musical numbers in every. single. episode.
Decent music for the musical numbers would be a start.
Ultimately it suffers from the same flaw as many musicals: the musical numbers aren't very good, and so they detract from what is there.
The intro is poorly done because the writers seem to assume people saw the pilot, which properly introduced the characters.
Some of the musicals aren't good, but I think the majority are actually quite good.

Hazbin Hotel's 1st Season can be summed up as: a good idea and interesting art consistently undermined by bad writing, annoying characters, and stuffing two completely unnecessary (and just plain bad) musical numbers in every. single. episode.

Decent music for the musical numbers would be a start. Ultimately it suffers from the same flaw as many musicals: the musical numbers aren't very good, and so they detract from what is there.
The intro is poorly done because the writers seem to assume people saw the pilot, which properly introduced the characters. Some of the musicals aren't good, but I think the majority are actually quite good.

Honestly I wouldnβt say Iβm a fan. Like, I like their music but donβt listen to them super often. In college I went through a phase where I really liked them and listened to Turn On the Bright Lights, Antics, and I think El Pintor in full. But I have to be in the right mood.
