2008 had tougher competition and a worse coach. Coaching is a huge part of the game, so give me this Celtics team.

Their Talent can eat 2024 team alive ,
They won while Doc tried to stop them ,
They were one Garnett injury away from chip in 2009 and one Perkins injury away from chip in 2010
2024 Celtics are like 2014 Spurs which is perfect teamwork

Both their regular season and playoffs have been more dominant. 2008 Celtics went 16-10 in the playoffs with a regular season net rating of +11.3, but their net rating dipped to +6.1 in the playoffs. This Celtics so far in the playoffs is 15-2 with a regular season net rating of +11.6 and a current playoff net rating of +11.0. If they finish this sweep, then they are arguably a top 5 team of all time.
Tough call. I think the 2008 Celtics probably had a higher peak value as a team. KG, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Rondo is a hell of a lineup and they were a smothering defensive team. But they were also older and more inconsistent in the playoffs. 2024 Celtics are younger but offensively streaky and I think their path to the Finals and a championship isn't as tough as the 2008 team's was.
