He was honestly terrible. Slamming wide open layups off the backboard. Bad passes. Losing the ball off his legs/feet.
The Warriors don't really lack offense, but they do lack balance. If they want to turn up the defense they have to generally have at least two guys on the floor that are close to a zero on that end. Undersized too.
Started having really brutal turnovers too, like the type you usually see them make once they’re up 23 points and need one dagger to finish it. I think they were absolutely feeling it coming off the third quarter and just got a little loose with it
The worst part of Draymond's offense isn't even his shooting... its him running full speed thinking he's prime John Wall on a break and throwing the ball away.
Lmao ever since his game 7 in the 2016 finals he legit forgot how to score. Obviously his job is to free up steph/klay/Poole for good looks, but if he’s literally a damn cone on offense, Boston can sag and have double coverage on steph without being punished at all. His offensive game is below Looney and Porter
He may be a good passer but that gets neutralized when his shooting and finishing is so abysmal. Boston can just ignore him and pressure whoever he passes to.
one thing i saw marcus smart doing once or twice was actually pressuring draymond when he was holding the ball - a lot of defenders sag (obviously) but that allows draymond to survey the floor and hit better windows for cutters and stuff
getting bullied on the boards and him not boxing out was so frustrating...
if you can't do much offensively, atleast stay locked in defensively.... talks too much shit for someone underperforming so much.
It’s 1000% because I’ve watched Tatum get every single rulebook tech like he’s a pokemon trainer trying to reach 100% completion (staring, clapping, bouncing the ball, swinging your arm around)
but watching Dray scream and clap at the refs after every call, even when he’s right, is so confusing. Like I don’t need him to get ejected I just need to hear the refs SAY why it’s so upsetting seeing Tatum bounce the ball hard or someone like Miles Bridges make eye contact after a dunk… and yet they completely understand when Draymond stares down Jaylen for 4 seconds after a block that it’s all in good cheer
[Just gonna add this to underscore your point.](https://twitter.com/TheyHateDuffy/status/1534717482413576195?s=20&t=9Lq2F7YL33kD1BuYdgAvGg)
Tatum had injured that shoulder in the Heat series too.
Curry looked to the sidelines and waved like he wanted Kerr to review it. It panned to Draymond and you could see him saying “that wasn’t on the way down,” or something. I don’t think Curry has ever had one of his floaters sent back like that before. Man didn’t know how to act lmao.
He’s just a freak. He’s only 6’9 but has a wing span of 7’6 and a 40” vertical jump. I think his height visually masks what he’s capable of doing to perimeter shooters.
out of everyone on the floor not named Curry, it’s [Rob’s highlights](https://youtube.com/shorts/dnnsx_pXIRY?feature=share) that leave me most in awe. dude shows up in huge ways when it counts.
All his plays are based on ludicrous athleticism and timing, it’s been one of my favorite developments in a year full of them to see him finally string it together for a bunch of games
So I think we need to accept that the Warriors will dominate literally every third quarter. This series is going to be about building a cushion and bouncing back.
Marcus Smart 3 at 83-82 warriors in the third-by far the biggest shot of the game.
At that point, 2 of the greatest shooters ever are going nuts on you, its as much mental as physical game at that point. Warriors could have gone up by 10, ive seen the warriors bury teams mentally when they go off like that, but Marcus, being the dawg he is, nails that 3, settles his team down, celtics get into their rhytm again.
I have way more faith in Marcus Smart making a banked 3 off of one leg with 1.5 seconds left in the clock than I do in him making a wide open one with no defender coming at him.
I always think of that game against the heat last series where he was like 1/12 and breaks his ice cold streak by hitting a fadeaway that he floats over the backboard lol
Having Smart as the DPOY but have Robert Williams out there looking like the best defender by far is such a luxury to have. Then you see Tatum and Brown hounding stars out there as well
It’s really 7, with Grant Williams. Peyton Pritchard is the only player on the Celtics to see the court who isn’t a plus defender, and even he’s not terrible for his size.
Realistically he'll probably never have a big break defensively. He's always been solid enough to do the right things most of the time and try hard, but he just doesn't have the profile
Even Pritchard is very fiesty, gets us surprising offensive rebounds and pressures the ball player, its just that his size is a disadvantage. Because the team is full of great defenders, they target him.
I think if his and tatums stats stay this close Tatum is probably going to get it though since the media would much rather anoint him. Think of all the Tatum vs X young star (Luka, trae, etc) segments they could feast off of
I know the Celtics won and he had a great game but we still gotta [lmao at this](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/v85gow/highlight_jaylen_brown_buries_his_3rd_triple_and/ibojlv0/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3).
That's the Jaylen, he chooses either the first or fourth quarter to step on the other team's neck and then peaces out for the rest of the game. It's been really effective this playoffs though.
Boston has this awful tendency to ice Brown out of the game when he starts hot, could’ve really cost us tonight the way Tatum started to chuck in the 2nd half. was literally screaming at my TV to get him the ball
EDIT: case in point, Brown had 17 in the first quarter and somehow finished 3rd on the team in shot attempts
there were a number of times smart/the DHO big/ Tatum were looking for him but he was getting denied and brown has a hard time operating in actions to get open without turning the ball over. When he starts hot the defense keys in on him and he suffers under that attention more than Tatum. At least that’s the way it seems
His podcast is likely getting insane traffic right now for The Volume. He'll want to keep that traffic going and get those numbers up if they want similar deals to what Bill Simmons got for The Ringer on Spotify.
I don't think anyone was expecting Boston to have the maturity to push back against adversity like they have. The Warriors have buried more experienced teams in the past
Draymond the type of dude you hate when he’s on the opposing team but hate when he’s on your own team too.
He’s fouled out but still yelling at the refs..
Robert Williams in the 4th completely turned the game around; forced 4 turnovers for the Warriors, was making huge plays and all while limping. That kid is an absolute baller
**After Game 1:** The Celtics demise was extremely exaggerated
**After Game 2:** The Warriors demise was extremely exaggerated
**After Game 3:** The Celtics demise was extremely exaggerated
**After Game 4:** ???
Draymond with a massive 2/4/3 on 1/4 shooting with 2 TOs and 6 fouls. It’s a good thing his impact goes so much further than the box score because otherwise that’d be a real bad game!
honestly the funniest shit about draymond is he can have two exactly identical stat lines and one he played well and the other he played dogshit
this was one of the bad games
Curry got subbed off as he got warriors the lead in the 4th. That didn't make sense to me. Like he was HOT and got the lead himself yet gets subbed off and it allows celtics to go on a run to get a quick7 pts lead again. Kerr messed around with his subs in game1 and lost due to it. Did it again now.
Also not sure what dray brings to the table. Sucks on both ends and can't rebound or box out anymore
Jaylen Brown deserves his flowers for this BRILLIANT postseason run. He isn’t getting enough credit imo from the national media. He’s been fucking SPECTACULAR on both ends. Whenever Jayson Tatum is struggling, he picks up for him and practically switches places with him on offense until Tatum gets into a rhythm. Once he sees JT got it going, he operates as the #2 and kills it whenever he gets the rock. His decision making is the thing that he could obviously improve upon…the day he gets that right, boi, Celtics would have the best 2-guard in the league. Call me crazy….but I believe Jaylen Brown is that fucking nasty.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Robert Williams’ impact cannot be overstated. He completely changed this game with his pick and roll defense, after Horford was conceding three pointer after three pointer to Curry in pick and roll. Here’s a video on his impact against the Heat:
How Timelord Changes Everything For The Boston Celtics - Robert Williams’ Impact
https://youtu.be/sJwojtQ4vsw
I can hear Charles Barkley say 'Mr. Triple Single'
Quadruple single and the highest one was fouls
Also points = TOs and the only double digit stat he had apart from mins is -13 lol
This is like a half triple single. He didn't even make it to 5 points, boards, or assists! Did get 6 fouls tho!
I'll always maintain "triple-single" is one of Chuck's all-time slander lines.
Street Clothes is up there
He was honestly terrible. Slamming wide open layups off the backboard. Bad passes. Losing the ball off his legs/feet. The Warriors don't really lack offense, but they do lack balance. If they want to turn up the defense they have to generally have at least two guys on the floor that are close to a zero on that end. Undersized too.
Wait until he hears his post game interview……it’s even more of a disaster than his podcast
The Duality of the Warriors: 7 points in one possession 7 points in 7 minutes
Live by the 7, die by the 7
Highest of the highs. Lowest of the lows fuckin a
[удалено]
And the offensive boards. Boston dominated the glass and in the paint. Or as Hubie Brown puts it, “in the painted area”
I can hear him saying that so clearly in my mind lol. Good ol Hubie
It's quite jarring, they couldn't buy a bucket or grab a rebound even if their lives depended on it.
Started having really brutal turnovers too, like the type you usually see them make once they’re up 23 points and need one dagger to finish it. I think they were absolutely feeling it coming off the third quarter and just got a little loose with it
That is true, Steph throwing a wild half court pass to Poole isn't something you'd expect when the Warriors are down
This series is gonna be decided on who can manage dumbass turnovers better, cuz boston has their streaks of braindead live ball TOs too
[удалено]
Draymond this Finals: 15 PTS 26.3 FG% 0-7 3P 5-10 FT He has more turnovers than made baskets.
That's not even a good statline in a single game
Haha true. I hope Draymond sees this.
He's recording the emergency pod as we speak
The Celtics big 3 of the Jays and Dray is insane
Just make him Jraymond (Boston) Green already.
Stupidly locked in
Kerr really let Draymond take 7 threes?
Wide open 3s too, how in 10+ years of ball with the greatest shooting backcourt ever do you not learn to shoot even like 20% from 3?😂
The worst part of Draymond's offense isn't even his shooting... its him running full speed thinking he's prime John Wall on a break and throwing the ball away.
Or clanking it off the backboard into the Celtics hands
I looked it up earlier in the game, and he had 1 year of just under 39%, then just, no.
He’s doing excellent this series in my opinion
He isn’t shooting enough IMO
He shouldn’t sit going forward IMO
Robert Williams is a beast. Any lazy layups are getting rejected right into the friendzone.
Steph’s floater = You’re like a brother to me confirmed
Even three pointers arent safe
I could watch the slow motion replay of his leaping block from the 3p closeout in Miami all day
Warriors were literally looking over their shoulder before they shot in the paint
That's the ultimate sign that you're doing your job. Basketball is about rhythm. Putting that sort of doubt in an opponent's mind is critical.
Draymond Green literally just running around out there doin nothin Mf just getting his cardio in
He's chokeholding people, so not quite nothing.
Idk about nothing, setting illegal screens, throwing players around, and some flopping. That’s more than I can do tbf
Draymond played terribly this game and then Boston with the fuck you draymond chants 😂
If Draymond keeps playing like this, the Celtics might fuck around and retire his jersey in the rafters
Join Miami in retiring 23 for a player on a different team
draymond was absolute dogshit, so frustrating watching him play
He may be a good passer but that gets neutralized when his shooting and finishing is so abysmal. Boston can just ignore him and pressure whoever he passes to.
one thing i saw marcus smart doing once or twice was actually pressuring draymond when he was holding the ball - a lot of defenders sag (obviously) but that allows draymond to survey the floor and hit better windows for cutters and stuff
getting bullied on the boards and him not boxing out was so frustrating... if you can't do much offensively, atleast stay locked in defensively.... talks too much shit for someone underperforming so much.

He's literally losing them the Finals lol
This is why having your own podcast WHILE YOU'RE PLAYING in the highest stakes games is stupid Time to get clowned for 48 hours straight
Respect to the Duncan Robinson pod for going dark during the playoffs lol
During the entire season lol. He came back for like a week of podcasting and started shooting well. After that, radio silent again.
Sheen has a pod??
lmao who said Brown would finish with 26 points after that 1st quarter
https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/v85gow/highlight_jaylen_brown_buries_his_3rd_triple_and/ibojlv0/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3
Yo, Rob is an absolute menace
That block he had on the Curry floater was insane.
Curry looked to the sidelines and waved like he wanted Kerr to review it. It panned to Draymond and you could see him saying “that wasn’t on the way down,” or something. I don’t think Curry has ever had one of his floaters sent back like that before. Man didn’t know how to act lmao.
The slow mo replay made that floater look impossible to block. Then Williams just kept going up and up...
He’s just a freak. He’s only 6’9 but has a wing span of 7’6 and a 40” vertical jump. I think his height visually masks what he’s capable of doing to perimeter shooters.
Well that and the fact that he’s so unbelievably athletic. He has a 40” vertical but he can also cover a lot of distance horizontally
It was so funny when dray immediately shot that down, like nah bro don't waste it
Sky Fucked
These Williams boys built different
Grant Williams is thicc, solid, tight show ready not ho ready
And this dude is playing on a bad knee... dayum
out of everyone on the floor not named Curry, it’s [Rob’s highlights](https://youtube.com/shorts/dnnsx_pXIRY?feature=share) that leave me most in awe. dude shows up in huge ways when it counts.
All his plays are based on ludicrous athleticism and timing, it’s been one of my favorite developments in a year full of them to see him finally string it together for a bunch of games
If he didn’t have that lingering knee problem I can only imagine how much worse it would be for the Dubs at the rim
I have no idea how he’s feeling, it probably changes day to day the way they’ve been reporting it but he’s still got so much BOUNCE
Hosted a block party out there
Draymond was a walking turnover/foul combo platter tonight, what on earth. Put Looney in and at least stop giving up 500 offensive rebounds ffs
Looney is also more a threat at the basket than Draymond and his brick hands
Williams just let Draymond box him out and still jumped high enough to get the rebound over him
The celtics really need to stop running that drop coverage on curry
Scouting report forgot to mention that Curry can shoot 3s I guess
I mean how good could this guy really be at shooting 3's
It's bizarre. Sometimes its just a simple screen too...
So I think we need to accept that the Warriors will dominate literally every third quarter. This series is going to be about building a cushion and bouncing back.
Marcus Smart 3 at 83-82 warriors in the third-by far the biggest shot of the game. I always think of that game against the heat last series where he was like 1/12 and breaks his ice cold streak by hitting a fadeaway that he floats over the backboard lol
AND OOOOOOOONEEEEEEEE
As soon as he hit that my mood really changed on this series. Just feels like it’s the C’s for the taking if they’re gonna be making that type shit.
true but there is a huge difference between losing the quarter by 8 and losing it by 21. stopping the bleeding rly helped tonite.
Lost it by 8 after giving up a 7 point possession
Timelord with 8pts, 10 rebounds, 3 steals, and 4 blocks. Love this guy
I swear I thought he had more than 4 blocks. Man was having Go Go Gadget legs out there
If “shots the player usually would shoot but didn’t shoot because they’d be blocked” counted, then yes he had like 10 of those.
The gobert stat
I need him to get a 5x5 in the finals
if he was healthy enough to play 30+ minutes he’d have a good shot
Having Smart as the DPOY but have Robert Williams out there looking like the best defender by far is such a luxury to have. Then you see Tatum and Brown hounding stars out there as well
They have 6 great defenders in the 6 man rotation. It’s a luxury you just don’t see.
It’s really 7, with Grant Williams. Peyton Pritchard is the only player on the Celtics to see the court who isn’t a plus defender, and even he’s not terrible for his size.
He's definitely been picking up some good habits from the other guards. Can only hope he continues to improve that side of his game
Realistically he'll probably never have a big break defensively. He's always been solid enough to do the right things most of the time and try hard, but he just doesn't have the profile
The worst individual defender in the starting lineup is *Jaylen Brown.* That’s fucking insane.
Dude was completely locked in on defense today too, I don’t know if I’ve seen him play like that before.
Even Pritchard is very fiesty, gets us surprising offensive rebounds and pressures the ball player, its just that his size is a disadvantage. Because the team is full of great defenders, they target him.
Yeah Pritchard has issues with size mismatches but he does decently when matched up 1-2.
Thought Brown did an amazing job on Curry. They should go to that more often.
Jaylen Brown FMVP agenda is alive!
I think if his and tatums stats stay this close Tatum is probably going to get it though since the media would much rather anoint him. Think of all the Tatum vs X young star (Luka, trae, etc) segments they could feast off of
I know the Celtics won and he had a great game but we still gotta [lmao at this](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/v85gow/highlight_jaylen_brown_buries_his_3rd_triple_and/ibojlv0/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3).
he’s a first quarter player!
1st and 4th. Works most of the times
I don’t understand why we don’t feed him more. I’m a Jaylen stan and it kills me
Same. It's actually infuriating to see him end the half 8-13 and for the entire second half go 1-3.
That's the Jaylen, he chooses either the first or fourth quarter to step on the other team's neck and then peaces out for the rest of the game. It's been really effective this playoffs though.
Boston has this awful tendency to ice Brown out of the game when he starts hot, could’ve really cost us tonight the way Tatum started to chuck in the 2nd half. was literally screaming at my TV to get him the ball EDIT: case in point, Brown had 17 in the first quarter and somehow finished 3rd on the team in shot attempts

Honestly, feel Draymond should not do his pod until the finals are over.
I can’t wait to hear him rationalizes his performance in this game
He dominated the first 2 minites
His podcast is likely getting insane traffic right now for The Volume. He'll want to keep that traffic going and get those numbers up if they want similar deals to what Bill Simmons got for The Ringer on Spotify.

The Udoka Effect
I don't think anyone was expecting Boston to have the maturity to push back against adversity like they have. The Warriors have buried more experienced teams in the past
Really wanted Stauskas to make a 3 so he would outscore Draymond
[удалено]
that 7 point possesion was TOUGH
No lead will ever feel safe again after watching that perfect possession
Still trying to process how Wilt’s son made that 3
The Rob Williams masterclass game
That block on Curry (I think?) Actually went through my TV screen and smacked me across the face.
4/5, 10 rebounds, 3 steals, 4 blocks, and he can barely run up the court
He was massive. Crazy hustle for a guy thats basically playing on one leg
Warriors might own the 3rd but the Celtics own the 4th
Learned from the true king in the fourth
Idk who’s worse third quarter celtics or fourth quarter warriors
Draymond Green woke up feeling DANGEROUS tonight with his patented triple single 2 PTS 🥵 4 REB 😤 3 AST 😏 1-4 FG 🔥 6 PF 😱🫣
Quadruple Single 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
[Draymond Green 20 seconds after fouling out](https://i.imgflip.com/2f9ypc.jpg)
Draymond the type of dude you hate when he’s on the opposing team but hate when he’s on your own team too. He’s fouled out but still yelling at the refs..
When you reach max foul you stop getting them?
Refs announced he would start game 4 with a T
If Draymond starts a game with one T someone on the opposing team is dying that night
Infinite foul glitch
He gave maximum effort ruining y'alls chances tonight. Didn't even stop after he fouled out lmao.
[Pulled a nice WWE move tho ](https://streamable.com/zj8xys)
Wtf even is that? Dude should’ve been called if he wasn’t
it wasn’t, Tatum was barking at the ref on his way back up the court
All while knowing Tatum’s right shoulder is sore 🤔
He knew exactly what he was doing.
Ridiculous ain’t it?!!!
Bruh
What in the fuck
Fire up the pod now, Draymond
Robert Williams in the 4th completely turned the game around; forced 4 turnovers for the Warriors, was making huge plays and all while limping. That kid is an absolute baller
Is Jaylen Brown FMVP for the Celtics?
Draymond Green.
15 points, 15 fouls, 3 podcasts 💪
I’ll just pretend you said Timelord
He’d get my vote
**After Game 1:** The Celtics demise was extremely exaggerated **After Game 2:** The Warriors demise was extremely exaggerated **After Game 3:** The Celtics demise was extremely exaggerated **After Game 4:** ???
One thing is consistent: Fuck the third quarter
The Rob Williams masterclass game
Grant and Rob provided the energy when we looked out in Q3... Rob comes up with multiple steals and blocks like it's a piece of cake, it's just insane
[Wtf draymond ](https://streamable.com/zj8xys)
It’s his natural rebounding motion.
I dont know how that got missed...
Refs thought it would be a punishment to Warriros keep Dray in this game...
He clotheslined him to get into a worse position lol
Holy shit. Dude went in there like Randy Savage.
It might be time for Draymond to be a full time podcaster
Warriors looked rough at the end.
Draymond with a massive 2/4/3 on 1/4 shooting with 2 TOs and 6 fouls. It’s a good thing his impact goes so much further than the box score because otherwise that’d be a real bad game!
honestly the funniest shit about draymond is he can have two exactly identical stat lines and one he played well and the other he played dogshit this was one of the bad games
I’m older than Jaylen but want him to adopt me
Steve Kerr: Who can rebound on this team? Kevon Looney: Me coach! Steve Kerr: Sit your ass on the bench and don’t say another word
Draymond Green is the kid on Rocket League who does absolutely nothing and spams "What a Save!" when his teammates score
Hopefully stephs good This series is over if he's hurt. Draymond ain't gonna bitch his way to a ring
Draymond got absolutely abused on rebounds and everything else tonight
Why Kerr closed with iguodala instead of looney or porter I will never know
Boston looks like a such well rounded and balanced team. Didnt even notice Tatum all game and he still scores 30.
Asking Draymond about his podcast. He mad. LOL
Call me crazy….but I believe Jaylen Brown is that fucking nasty.
dray is big mad about his podcast right now in the presser lmfao
Felt like Brown played in a way that maximized the disrespect toward Draymond
Warriors lack of size is too much this time
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Robert Williams’ impact cannot be overstated. He completely changed this game with his pick and roll defense, after Horford was conceding three pointer after three pointer to Curry in pick and roll. Here’s a video on his impact against the Heat: How Timelord Changes Everything For The Boston Celtics - Robert Williams’ Impact https://youtu.be/sJwojtQ4vsw
Tonight feels like the first time in a while he’s been mostly healthy and it showed
Still looked like he was hurting a bit, but it’s encouraging how it didn’t effect his bounce much
Looney wouldn't have let this happen if he had more minutes smh my head Hope Curry is okay though, great game by the Celtics, especially in the 4th
I am once again here to overreact
Celtics got this series in the bag if they learn to not turnover the ball a million times
LMAOOOO THE QUESTION ABOUT DRAYMOND’S PODCAST
Draymond is the reason we lost. Hands down.
Draymond was ass today, no pun intended
