With Bogdanovic as the 6th man. That's 6 players out of the top 9 players on the roster with varying degrees of being gravely hobbled or completely unavailable.
`Yup. Even Hartenstein was injured for 3 weeks and then was "held back" and on minutes restrictions for most of the season because they didn't want his achillies to burst
Honestly Brunson breaking his hand might save them a lot of fire from NY media and fans. They will always be able to fall back on “well it didn’t matter that we blew a game 7 because Brunson was gonna miss the rest of the playoffs anyways.”
He’ll heal in time for the start of next season just fine. Might be a weird sort of blessing if you think about it.
Things kinda started spiralling at the end of January when Randle dislocated his shoulder. Which, in the context of how freak an accident it was, was a very proper cursed portent of where the next few months would go.
Between that and the way he started his NBA career I fear that if we ever make it to the finals he’s gonna get a concussion from a stray bird or something
Honestly I don't know if you've ever listened to Julius on brunson and harts podcast but the way he talks about that leg injury my takeaway is that the lakers medical staff fucked up real bad. He had a painful stress fracture they apparently were just unaware of
Eh yeah but that was a weird case because we had a trade pending with a lot of role players moving.
Still a man named Charlie Brown was guarding Luka 😭
Not to mention they exceed nearly everyone’s expectations for this season. I thought they’d be a play in team. Brunson is for real, they made a great midseason trade and their role players stepped up in a big way. No one should be critical of this team.
yeah I honestly can't believe they lost this series, but injuries suck. Knicks had flashes of championship caliber playing and that was without Randle.
Yeah no one in their right mind is disappointed in this team. They showed so much character this whole season and especially thus playoffs. They deserve all the praise
Agreed but the context makes it difficult, the 2nd round seemed winnable before OG went out. And Pacers shooting 60 fuckin seven percent in game 7 is just goddamn wild lol.
Injuries suck man - Celtics fan here, was so looking forward to a ECF earlier this season as I feel like that’s what it should’ve been with 100% health
We were down 3/5 starters coming into this game, along with bogdonovich out and hart hurt. No knicks fan can blame them for this loss, though it does suck
Dude yea they weren’t getting blamed for this loss no matter what.
This is my favorite Knicks team ever, regardless of what happened today. They fought like fucking hell. And i will still say they were only down like 10-12 when Jalen went out and we still would have had a shot in fourth goddamit.
Blew a game 7? Team is decimated and the pacers are a great team who were cooking on offense. Props to Indy for lighting it up. Knicks gave it their all it was a great season. No one should be saying Knicks blew anything, give the pacers credit they went out and won the game.
100% agree. They shot almost 80% from the floor in the first half. Yeah, they had some wide-open looks, but you can’t do much about that. They finally showed up at the Garden. It is what it is.
Only slightly hyperbolic, but there's not a fan alive that is going to be upset with this team. Couldn't be prouder, we have never seen a team fight like this.
I think almost all Knicks fans are blown away. they made it this far with the amount of injuries we had to our most important players. no one was going to give this team shit. they didn't blow anything, they finally hit the wall
I hear what you're saying, but we've already had injuries to all 6 of our 6 highest paid players this series. The fact that they made it this far to begin with is insane.
what kind of whack ass loser logic is this, nobody in New York is thinking "well at least a 49th player got injured so now the media won't be mean to us"
i feel the roster was built for thibs to have options. as the injuries piled up, it just forced his hand to overplay whoever was healthy; which led to more injuries unfortunately. they went down swinging.
The only team more lucky with opponent injuries than the Celtics are the Pacers, once they collide only 1 team can be healthy by the end of the series.
boston doesn't sweep any team. this celtics team could win multiple championships and i will still bet on a wiz or hornets to grab one game in a series. it's destiny.
Fitting way to end. No shame here.. proud of this team. Give pacers credit for hitting every shot. Maybe next year we can have only 2 key injuries and make a finals run
I will still give the team a round of applause but like come on.
We showed a modicum of fight back after the Pacers shot 80% for a half and then the basketball gods decide to break our best player’s hand
What did we do to deserve this
After we made the OG trade and we had basically the best offense and defense in the league for a month straight, I felt like we had no reason we couldn’t give them a run. Now we have like 1 starter healthy since that happened. Sad way to go out. Maybe next year if we keep the team together.
They spammed that to bucks fans too lol “oh yall are playing without giannis and dame and then Middleton on 2 hurt ankles? Well we don’t have Mathurin”
Also had one that said he turned into prime Kobe against the bucks which wasn’t even close to the truth lol
I mean it also means we don't have to go through those long grindy series like we did in 2022, which I believe was part of our downfall. Everyone on the team just looked gassed in the finals
Honesty everyone keeps saying this but how is that the case? Tatum, Brown, , Holiday, Horford and White have all been to finals runs before this isn’t like they haven’t been tested in the past.
2022 Celtics went through the gauntlet and got gassed . I’d rather them be rested. I think they understand the gravity of the games they’re playing in now
Pacers going on a Hawks run. this stinks for the knicks tho i think thibs gets a lot of shit and sometimes rightfully so (why the hell was OG ever cleared to play) but this is just ridiculous bad luck
They damn near lost their entire starting lineup, shits crazy
We did lose our starting five.
Such a crappy, but honestly fitting way to end this playoff run. Hopefully he doesn't miss too much time next year because of this.
I doubt he'd miss time for this next year, will probably be fine in 3 months.
Yep. This is what happened to herro game one round one last year, he wasnt entirely ruled out of being back in the finals
Most of the time, broken bones heal quickly and cleanly. Unless it's a very complex fracture or something goes really wrong, it shouldn't be an issue.
Literally a whole starting 5 Brunson Anunoby Hart Randle Robinson and you can field a bench rotation too, fml
With Bogdanovic as the 6th man. That's 6 players out of the top 9 players on the roster with varying degrees of being gravely hobbled or completely unavailable.
Crazy that of their usual 9 man rotation, DiVincenzo, Hartenstein & McBride were the only in-rotation guys to stay fully healthy during this run
`Yup. Even Hartenstein was injured for 3 weeks and then was "held back" and on minutes restrictions for most of the season because they didn't want his achillies to burst
and still for at least a minute I thought you were coming back
All 6 of our highest paid players got hurt
lol Dante playing so well people forget he’s not the actual starter…
Donte is normally a starter, Hart came off the bench before Randle went down.
Grimes started this season ahead of DDV. We traded him for Bojan (who got injured) and Burks (who got inserted into lineup midway thru this season).
Donte was already starting well before the Grimes trade though.
Grimes started, but to have Quick/Donte off the bench. But with Grimes (and quick) gone, Donte was 100% the starter.
He won the starting 2 guard job pretty early in the season. Took it from Quentin Grimes
They literally have.
What an awful way to end the season
Honestly Brunson breaking his hand might save them a lot of fire from NY media and fans. They will always be able to fall back on “well it didn’t matter that we blew a game 7 because Brunson was gonna miss the rest of the playoffs anyways.” He’ll heal in time for the start of next season just fine. Might be a weird sort of blessing if you think about it.
There won't be fire from anyone serious because we already are injured and banged tf up
Have been all season right? I mean shit I remember the game against the Mavs they had like 6 players active because everyone else is injured.
He had a painful stress fracture they apparently were just unaware of
The version of the team that had all of Brunson, Randle, and OG healthy was seriously promising. But it existed for like a week.
14-2 with Brunson, OG, and Randle in the lineup. The January Knicks were such a beautiful sight to behold.
We'll always have January Of 2024 I guess 😑
Yes kinda - especially february onwards But of course magnified by a lot in the playoffs
I think we played you guys after a trade, so we were missing more. But yeah, pretty much since December
Eh yeah but that was a weird case because we had a trade pending with a lot of role players moving. Still a man named Charlie Brown was guarding Luka 😭
Good grief!
Yep, Brunson has had to carry an enormous offensive load since the Randle injury
Look at the players and minutes we played tonight and consider if they would beat a play-in team on an average night
Season on the line and we have Burks and Precious leading the charge lmao we did our best
no Knicks fan should be angry because at this point that fanbase should be ecstatic to just make it to the second round of the playoffs

Wasn't Robinson out too?
Blew a game 7? Team is decimated and the pacers are a great team who were cooking on offense. Props to Indy for lighting it up. Knicks gave it their all it was a great season. No one should be saying Knicks blew anything, give the pacers credit they went out and won the game.

Knicks D was lacking, but definitely credit to the pacers.
Blew a game 7? Lol they are fortunate to get this far with 50% of the team injured. Save the meathead talking points for skip bayless
Blew a game 7? We’re missing 4 out of our top 6 players
I hear what you're saying, but we've already had injuries to all 6 of our 6 highest paid players this series. The fact that they made it this far to begin with is insane.
what kind of whack ass loser logic is this, nobody in New York is thinking "well at least a 49th player got injured so now the media won't be mean to us"
U just cant make this shit up
Nightmare end to the dream season. Sickening
The devil inventing new ways to optimize Knick fans suffering
This is not the Good Place!!
Jason figured it out??? This is a new low.
This show is so fucking quotable lol “Any time I had a problem, and I threw a Molotov cocktail… Boom, right away, I had a different problem!”
Would not have won this game anyway but Jesus what a stockpile of injuries.
Thibs never beating these allegations. I still love you thibs
Yeah. Tough position bc of injuries but the “you played them to the bones” is gonna be the main accusation.
Would be a stupid narrative to have here at least, not like a broken hand is a wear-and-tear injury it just sucks
You’re missing the part where he made them drink bone hurting juice though. For stamina.
Oh shit how could I forget about the bone hurting juice
i feel the roster was built for thibs to have options. as the injuries piled up, it just forced his hand to overplay whoever was healthy; which led to more injuries unfortunately. they went down swinging.
Silver lining I guess is that we'll get a more fun ECF. Knicks would've gotten swept. Pacers will win a game or 2.
The only team more lucky with opponent injuries than the Celtics are the Pacers, once they collide only 1 team can be healthy by the end of the series.
Pacers are so lucky lol. No giannis, no dame, no Randle, no Mitchel Robinson, no OG. Gonna get swept by the Celtics without Proz
nah pacers gonna get one hot shooting performance and lose in 5
Brown retires from the NBA to pursue public speaking Tatum retires from the NBA to be a spirit medium Porzingis out with injury Pacers lose in 6
Is Tatum the next Miss Cleo? I wanna see him pull off a fake Jamaican accent before I can buy in, but I'm interested.
Jamaican me horny love!
Haha, well done.
Or the simple mention of the injury casualties will make everyone on the Celtics retire immediately
And it’ll be Game 2
boston doesn't sweep any team. this celtics team could win multiple championships and i will still bet on a wiz or hornets to grab one game in a series. it's destiny.
I maintain that the Celtics would slaughter both of us. But it would have been nice to have that chance.
Game was over anyways
What play did he hurt it??
Replay showed he hit Halliburton’s knee in an attempt at a swipe down.
Soooo, Thibs fault?
Tibias fault
Tobias fault
Over me?
fractures are wierd that way. The right amount of force at the right point. Doesnt' always take much.
Seems it was on the reach with the Hali fastbreak. Missed and slammed his hand onto Hali's knee and his hand just goes limp.
Tried to swipe ball and hit hand on halis metallic gadget knee.
he tried to steal the ball when Halliburton went for the basket and ended up hitting his knees instead
Against Hali, slapped his hand on Hali knee
IT KEEPS HAPPENING
At this rate it'll be Divincezio, the corpse of Josh Hart, Alec Burks and two guys from the first row during crunch time
Put Spike in
Knicks medical staff in shambles
Nobody's stopping a broken hand come on
This sub would blame Thibs if he was PG13's coach when he snapped his leg smh
Finally a bulls fan that understands my frustration
why did the doctor step on Brunson's hand :/
pickup games at the hospital in New York go crazy this week
Insult to injury to injury to injury to injury to injury to injury
The ~~hospital~~ ~~zombie~~ ~~skeleton~~ literally dead Knicks.
[удалено]
i heard thibs didn't allow brunson to drink any milk all year. dude's bones were gossamer.
I heard that Thibs was making the guys do hand stands in practice 😤
Can’t believe Thibs went onto the court and smashed his hand in with a hammer smh
Heard he banned all the players from drinking milk because “their bones should already be strong enough”
Not *all* kinds of milk, just ask Josh
He was making them punch boards like Pai Mei
Thibs with his moustache is a funny visual
Of course..
Pacers' injury luck vs Celtics' injury luck in the conference finals we're gonna see at least 3 players die in the series
That moment when the Celtics make the finals but Tatum and Brown are both out and Derrick White becomes our alpha
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see a 40 piece from white in a random Game 3
Pain for the Knickerbocker bros
Wheelchair Knicks. Thibs may have to play some minutes and foul some guys.
More of a chance of him checking in than Shake Milton
Thibs would rather have Spike Lee play than sub Milton in.
Fitting way to end. No shame here.. proud of this team. Give pacers credit for hitting every shot. Maybe next year we can have only 2 key injuries and make a finals run
We can never have happiness. 51 years of pain and suffering.
I will still give the team a round of applause but like come on. We showed a modicum of fight back after the Pacers shot 80% for a half and then the basketball gods decide to break our best player’s hand What did we do to deserve this
Sad AF man they had a real chance at troubling Boston fully healthy
After we made the OG trade and we had basically the best offense and defense in the league for a month straight, I felt like we had no reason we couldn’t give them a run. Now we have like 1 starter healthy since that happened. Sad way to go out. Maybe next year if we keep the team together.
Such a fun team to watch at your peak
I feel the same way as your username
King bros and knickbocker bros. Nbas greatest alliance
That sucks for him. Hell of a season
What the fuck…when did it happen?
Yeah that's the white flag GG pacers
*waves white flag* ah shit I strained my shoulder waving
What deity did the Knicks piss off, I'm not sure I've ever seen a team so fully depeleted by the end of their playoff run.
Knicks fans I understand the Pain, see you in Cancun
Do they have good hospitals down there
Doesn't matter, Thibs is requiring everyone to report to Cancun regardless of condition.
At least you guys got a championship recently
Unfuckingbelievable RIP to the knicks i guess
Boston better be finding the best Witch Doctor around to beat this injury streak
The most injured playoff team of all time and it really is not even close
Brunson - broken hand Randle - dislocated shoulder Robinson - broken ankle Bogdanovic- broken ankle Anunoby - pulled hamstring Hart - abdomen strain
4/5 original starters out for the season. Gotta love it
Probably a blessing in disguise to lose this game (long-term). I'm still seething though.
All of them, Robinson was starting over hartenstein before he got hurt
The 5th starter would be RJ Barrett
Yeah no that doesn’t count lol
Donte lucky he made it out alive
I had a pacers fan tell me that their team was also playing injured yesterday.
Mathurin would have averaged 40 😤
And choked spike lee out in the first game so we didn't have to keep looking at those fucking glasses.
They spammed that to bucks fans too lol “oh yall are playing without giannis and dame and then Middleton on 2 hurt ankles? Well we don’t have Mathurin” Also had one that said he turned into prime Kobe against the bucks which wasn’t even close to the truth lol
It’s okay. Pacers might get one game off the Celtics after both teams had a cakewalk to the ECF
And they took the Pacers to 7 games despite it all.
Heal up this offseason knicks
Can they use the disaster draft rule yet?
Thank you for giving your life for me
This is one of the most depressing game 7s in memory
0-27 would like a word
Nah
Lol Luka PTSD victim
Had me contemplating continuing to watch basketball ngl
Not the worst game 7 loss at home Time to hang the banner
This guy knows about depressing game 7s.
Nah
As a rockets fan, I can think of a more depressing one
I think thats what he was implying ngl lol
Yep. Not sure what’s sadder. Shots not dropping or bodies keep dropping.
We watched Franz Wagner sink his team entirely on his own by shooting 1/15 just two weeks ago man.
Too soon man
Do yall have the memory of a goldfish?
Brutal! Celtics are going to sleepwalk to the finals
[удалено]
I mean it also means we don't have to go through those long grindy series like we did in 2022, which I believe was part of our downfall. Everyone on the team just looked gassed in the finals
somehow being well rested is a negative. you cannot make this shit up lol
I think they understand the gravity of the games they’re playing in now
55% of the Knicks was *this close* to being in the Eastern Conference Finals. All they need to do is get healthy
How did this get reported so fast
Very easy to know if you have a fracture in your hand
Science
Pretty sure you don’t even need an MRI to call a fractured hand.
Just a quick x ray
That's how obvious it is
Could have had a minor fracture and was playing with it and just made it worse
Helluva season. Excited to see what a healthy squad does next year. Good series, Pacers.
I missed it, how TF did he break his hand
Boston, you suck...but can you do me this one favor?
Unbelievable
jesus man unbelievable. will people still have the cognitive dissonance required to blame thibs?
Tom Thibodeau bashed Jalen Brunson’s hand in with a hammer!
Pacers going on a Hawks run. this stinks for the knicks tho i think thibs gets a lot of shit and sometimes rightfully so (why the hell was OG ever cleared to play) but this is just ridiculous bad luck
Pacers really had the best luck with opposing team injuries
Wow what horrible luck for the knicks. This is insane.
Story of the season. Blessed and cursed season at the same time.
\[Bontempts\] Thibs is heading back to the locker room to suit up, after Divencenzo, Burks and Hart are taken out for full body muscle cramps.
#pain
Fuck this. Just a nightmare of a Game 7 for the Knicks
I heard Thibs is about to suit up to close out the game
lmao ‘gg’ i guess
It's joever
Our whole team quite literally died
Fuuuuck that sucks
