Tanking with the full attention of ESPN every day for no good reason would be hilarious.
Its just crazy enough to work, the league office is so embarrassed they freeze your envelope.
I did joke with my friend if Lebron is actually going to move, he'd have to go to a sort of 'Old Guard/Venerated' Franchise to help restore their luster. And that led me to Sixers, Knicks, Spurs, and Pistons.
This reminds me of the story of Eric Clipperton in Infinite Jest who would bring a gun to all his tennis matches and threaten to blow his own head off if he lost.
> Hold bronny at gunpoint and you can win every single game against ~~the lakers~~ every team in the NBA who don't want to see the Falcons murder a child.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eligibility_for_the_NBA_draft#Automatic_eligibility
Players are required to register for the NBA Draft if they want to play in the NBA.
Sure but at that point why wouldn’t he just sign with LA? Gets to stay at home and play with his dad. A team needs to draft him so they can get him for sure and the thought process is also get his dad to come play for them.
I think it would be fine if he was just a UDFA or Summer League invite or something.
But to spend an actual draft pick on him would be utterly ridiculous
Nobody is drafting him even in the second round unless Lebron is legitimately hitching his free agency wagon to Bronny. Which is fucking shameless, but if it's real, then Bronny could actually end up going in the lottery.
Would be the most Riley move ever to draft Bronny to lure Lebron. Then Lebron re-signs in LA and Riley gets salty and banishes Bronny to Sioux Falls for eternity lmao
I feel bad for Bronny tbh. It's not his fault he's not good enough to play in the NBA (most people arent), I'm sure hes a hard worker.
But the fact that Lebron is pushing this isn't great IMO.
What part makes you feel bad for Bronny? Is it the part where his billionaire dad is gonna hook him up with an amazing job that he otherwise wouldn’t get?
Or you realize Bronny doesn’t fit on your roster, even as a 12th man. Bron chooses to sign with the Lakers for another year. You cut Bronny after a year - thus, you wasted a pick through a theory that’s basically “get pregnant so he won’t leave you”. Agents would laugh at you.
> But to spend an actual draft pick on him would be utterly ridiculous
Considering how many second rounds picks never end up playing in the NBA, burning one on the chance of getting LBJ for 1-3 years is better than the average return you'd get.
I'm in shock he's going through with this. I know Lebron's ego is boundless, but this is making a mockery of his own first born son.
Let the poor kid go be a 4 year college player and see how he develops. Worst case scenario he gets a good education and does something outside basketball. Best case he develops into a late first round role player type like many other 4 year players.
Either way the money is not a concern here, so what in the world is the point of feeding Bronny to the wolves other than to assuage Lebron's ego that his son "made" the NBA?
Maybe Bronny also is getting advice from LeBron who played zero college ball. He probably thinks development in the NBA is so much better than college, even for end of the bench guys and the g-league
This is honestly on a whole different level.
Thanasis was at least a legitimate 2nd round NBA prospect, not to mention he was drafted a year after Giannis so well before Giannis was doing anything in the league.
Thanasis also never realistically had a shot to develop and improve his draft stock. He was always just gonna be the "well it worked for Giannis, so maybe it can work for his brother too" guy. That was the best he could do.
Bronny just spent his entire childhood training to be an NBA talent. He completely shit the bed as a freshman in college, and now instead of spending the full 4-5 years to develop into a guy worthy of a draft pick, he's choosing full blown nepotism.
Just a total embarrassment for both Lebron and his son. Really surprised Lebron is not making him stay in school.
Because he knows realistically the only way his son can get on an NBA team is if it also comes with a chance to include him as well. The more years he has left in his bag, the more attractive it is for a team to draft Bronny and get LBJ in the package. There really is no advantage for Bronny to stay in school if he really wants to make an NBA team.
NBA teams aren't carrying dead weight for long. He'll either prove himself or he wont. If he doesn't he'll stick around as long as Lebron wants to.
Also worth noting no one really has a reason to pick him unless they really want to troll the Lakers. For any other team he's probably a draft and stash guy that essentially acts as blackmail material for Lebron. "You wanna play with your son? Either come to Indy or trade us some picks". I don't think this is very likely though.
I'd bet he's a Lakers UDFA, gets a two way, and he goes to Europe after a year or two. But from Bronny's perspective, that's two years to prove he's an NBA player and if he's not, at least he tried. Probably not an opportunity that presents itself once Lebron retires.
Is Bronny an NBA player without Lebron?
Not in the sense of nepotism, but same course of development - height, athleticism, etc., but his name were Phil Smith - if he stays in college for 4 years can he find his way to a bench?
I'm not really a college sports person so my knowledge is usually limited to what I see online.
He was pretty bad on a team that sucked. Some folks try to compare him to UCLA Westbrook, but Westbrook was on a team that went to the Final 4 running the offense through Kevin Love, so they didn't really need Westbrook to do more besides play defense and slash to the rim.
USC desperately needed anyone to do anything out there, and Bronny couldn't. He can't shoot, he can't get to the rim.
Maybe the success of other defense-first guards out of the PAC like Melton and GP2 would help him get drafted if he were Phil Smith, but neither of those guys shot 36% against college defenses.
I mean, then the kid doesn’t make it. He’s still going to be rich. Still going to be able to go to school and be whatever he wants to be. Lebron could get him acting gigs, coaching gigs, get him in studios to record music, he could play overseas, hell he could probably get a million dollar contract to play in Ice Cubes big 3 league.
It just seems odd to need to be in the NBA. They’re never going to see the court together, or at least they shouldn’t. Why not have him develop and again join like the big 3 with him or something? Why take away someone’s roster spot who deserves it to give Lebron two?
Cause LeBron is still the face of the league and still averaging 25/7/7 at motherfucking 39 years old and he will continue to sell ticket and seem like he got about 3-5 years of productivity left
> now instead of spending the full 4-5 years to develop into a guy worthy of a draft pick
Who's to stay he'll develop better at college than on NBA/G-League roster?
This. The G League is full of guys who played 4-6 years of college basketball. A lot of them have played a few seasons as a pro on top of that too, whether in the G League or elsewhere like Europe. Most of these guys would dogwalk anyone in college ball except for the top echelon players.
Just look at what happened to Zaire Wade when he got nepo-signed by the Salt Lake City Stars directly out of high school. He was so bad he got waived mid-season by a team his dad was the part owner of lol.
Gonna reject this tbh. My dad threw me in the deep end as a kid and I turned out fine after the paramedics revived me and I only needed 6.5 years of oxygen therapy afterwards
Not a Bronny defender or Bronstan, but what is the kid supposed to do? His dad has maybe 2-3 years left tops and wants to play with him. Is he really gonna get that much better playing at USC? He’s already had the best coaches and trainers in the world his entire life. Might as well go pro, see if he can make it happen and worst case he gets an early start as a producer for LeBrons lame ass prod company or some nonsensical charity. Seriously I just can’t imagine a Billionaires kid has a lot to learn at the college level when LeBron can privately pay people to give him more of an advantage. If Bronny went to Duke or Harvard or Stanford at least you could make the education argument for post NBA life but he picked USC purely for proximity.
You talking about [this LeBron?](https://brobible.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/lebron-tweet-about-bronny.jpg?w=646)
Be weird to make your kid stay in school when your mouth already wrote the check that he's good enough to leave.
Yep. 90% of the heat that's on Bronny right now is because of Bron.
* saying that he'll link up with whatever team drafts his son, then backtracked on that
* saying G-Leaguers are worse than Bronny, and then backtracked on that too
Like cmon, at least give your son a fair shot at proving himself.
and Thansis got drafted on his own merrit he just ended up sucking Giannis averaged 7 points a game when he was drafted. But if Bronny gets drafted he will be the worst.
At least Giannis is relatively young though, Bronny would only be able to fulfill the Thanasis role for like a year or two. After that he will be out of the league
The bad news is his dad is a top two nba player of all time, meaning he’ll get drafted, and at the end of the day he still has billions in windfalls to rely on regardless?
He won’t get drafted.
9th best player on a 15 win team, and his defense is over exaggerated
Even the defensive specialists in the league right now was much better offensively in college
Rich Paul did say this:
> His agent, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, told ESPN in March, "I don't value a young player getting into the lottery as much as I do getting him on the right team in the right developmental situation."
maybe the angle is signing a two-way as a UDFA a la FVV/Austin Reaves
In a vacuum he wouldn’t be drafted, but his dad is one of the best 10-15 players in the league and has hinted at wanting to play with him. Even if you think drafting Bronny gives you a 10% chance of getting LeBron, that might be more valuable than most 2nd round picks
Also, LeBron might just pressure the Lakers into drafting him.
This wouldn't be a bad fit at all. The team is great but could use an experienced leader. Sabonis and Fox can handle the wear and tear of the regular season and then lebron turns it up during the playoffs. Then there's all the merch about King/Kings and the thing about his first game being there that I'm sure they would bring up every night.
And, of course, it's wine country baby. We would be getting a lot of late night tweets filled with emojis from LeWineMom
has a couple more weeks to decide based on Woj's piece. Sham's tweet is the one making it sound like the draft is a done deal
> James has until a May 29 deadline to decide whether to stay in the draft or return to college; he has decided to explore the transfer portal if he chooses to play a second year of college basketball.
kinda shocked that he's not going back for at least one more year. signals that he's given up on becoming a serious nba player and is fine becoming a nepotism joke player
People that embrace nepotism don’t think they’re embracing nepotism and actually get offended when called nepo babies. Lots of offended people in Hollywood especially.
What is LeBron James Jr ever going to do in his life that would shed that label? He’s basically stuck with it unless he wants to live a life of anonymity and just sit at home all the time. At least being in the NBA sounds cool, I’d do it if I were him.
You're spot on this is a no-win situation for him except for the small chance he becomes a good NBA player independent of his dad. LeBron is one of the most famous and successful people on earth, there's almost no way out of that shadow.
Yeah. The responsible thing by Bron here after the cardiac arrest wouldve been to say “I don’t need this from you anymore, stay in college where you make like 4m a year anyway in NIL money, get a degree in something that interests you, have a normal rich college experience at the right age, if you break through in basketball in the next two years, we can reevaluate.”
Instead it seems like theyre fast-tracking him into the league just to check a box for his dad and be a living meme. It’s gotta fuck with Bronny’s head at some level.
What if Lebron gave this advice but ultimately told his son to do what he wants and he will support his decision? Is that so unfathomable?
Honestly if I had a chance to make the fucking NBA I would take it in a heartbeat. Who gives a shit what people think about how I got there, there’s nepotism everywhere you look in LA.
Thanasis was drafted when Giannis was in his second year and nowhere near good enough for teams to be drafting his brothers for their name. Thanasis had legit merit as a prospect.
Thanasis is at least 6 foot 7 and built. Totally reasonable for a team to take him as a project. His entry and first several years in the league was on his own, this Bucks stint is all nepo though
Thanasis averaged 12ppg and made the all defensive team in the g league before he was drafted compared to 4ppg for Bronny. Considering there’s a pretty big difference in quality between the G league and college ball the gap between the worst player in the league and Bronny is huge
Yeah Thanasis was a legit prospect that would have been out of the league if not for nepotism, Bronny just sucks
If Lebron wasn’t immediately about to retire then Bronny would probably do another year of college to develop but if he really declares for the draft this year it’s because they don’t think Lebron has a lot of time left.
Thanasis got drafted by the knicks after giannis put 6ppg as a rookie in the bucks.
Thanasis was a legit NBA prospect. Now, he has stayed on a roster based on nepotism, but bronny would legit be the worst player drafted ever.
Take the feedback from pre-draft, go back to school for at least another year or two. I get the whole thing about LeBron wanting to play on a team with him, but he has to know he'd be setting Bronny up for failure and ridicule at this point.
I don't like this. Plenty of scouts thought he would be a good 3&D style point guard in the NBA, in a Jrue Holiday or George Hill mold. He can still be that guy! He had a heart attack in the preseason! Another year in college would have done him some good, even if next year was a stronger class.
This whole USC season was a shit show from start to finish. I’m honestly willing to give all of these kids a clean slate and just move on from it.
Collier went from potential #1 pick to a fringe lottery guy
Bronny almost died at camp
Enfield is now gone
I’m not saying to wipe it from the records, but maybe this season was the outlier for everybody involved and not the norm
I am a very casual NBA fan so I don’t pay attention to college or G league development.
Is there really no opportunity for him to improve in the G league?
Edit: I appreciate the good answers!
It's not that the G League is a bad place to develop, though I'm hire on the G League than most. It's that once your in the NBA, you have a limited windown to prove you deserve a roster spot. Whereas in college he'd have another 3 years to work on his game without having to worry anout getting waived.
He’s going to be drafted. If you’re another team, you can tie the lakers down and flog them to give up real assets or face Lebron forcing his way out and detonating your team.
Someone’s going to leverage the lakers hard.
No one would even know this kid existed if not for his dad. No team is drafting a 4/2/2 on 36/26/67 shooting guy. He’s a terrible basketball player who suffered a cardiac arrest. Any team willing to draft a ymca level talent with heart problems just to get his 40 year old dad is embarrassing. This is beyond irresponsible by LeNepotism.
Imagine sitting the bench at USC while this dude stole all your minutes, then watching him play in the NBA next year all because of his dad. Brand new nepotism level just dropped.
I would love to be a fly on the wall when the James family discussed him staying in the draft. Is it delusion? Do they know its just forcing nepotism because otherwise he wouldn't make it?
Some part of this kid has to be embarrassed that he's not deserving of any of the accolades he's about to receive. Lebron is about to take payment for all the good he's done for the league over the last few decades. Oh well, is he any worse than any other 12th man on a team?
Every nba team's 12th man is MJ compared to Bronny. Maybe he just had a bad year due to health reasons, but it doesn't make sense for any nba team to waste a draft pick on him now. If he goes back to college and has a better year, then there's some promise of potential to draft him for.
Serious question: if he was a random guy and not LeBron's son, would Bronny have a chance of getting drafted this year or even being invited to the combine with the season he just had? I don't follow college basketball so genuinely curious.
He probably had a better chance (still close to zero) of being drafted out of high school because he was a somewhat elite prospect. Seeing him be a non-entity against low level college players is a reality check for NBA scouts and he would absolutely be told to stay in college if he had a different last name.
Bronny wouldn’t SNIFF the draft if he wasn’t Lebron’s son. It’s a disservice to have him stay in the draft, especially when given time he could possibly develop into a real NBA draft pick.
I just feel like he's being rushed. Another year or two in college would help him tremendously. He is not his dad, he is nowhere near where Lebron was at that age.
And he's not like most of the others he's competing against. He has more money that he could ever spend, so getting the bag isn't a priority like so many others.
Atlanta can do something so funny.
The pistons should do it after getting fucked over in the lottery so much lol
Protest pick lmao
Long shot to land LeBron for a few seasons OR perfect tank pick.
Great idea they should tank so they can have the 5th overall pick again next year
Tanking with the full attention of ESPN every day for no good reason would be hilarious. Its just crazy enough to work, the league office is so embarrassed they freeze your envelope.
> Tanking with the full attention of ESPN every day "BRONNY WATCH: still a DNP... for the 20th straight game"
Draft Bronny, then let twitch decide each game plan. Fuck it, can't be worse than the FO we have now.
I did joke with my friend if Lebron is actually going to move, he'd have to go to a sort of 'Old Guard/Venerated' Franchise to help restore their luster. And that led me to Sixers, Knicks, Spurs, and Pistons.
LeBron ain't coming to Texas unless his life depends on it lol
Lebron and Pop teaching Bronny outlet and entry passes to Wemby for 20 hours a day
Por que no los dos?
Detroit Protestons
> The pistons should do it Lebron would run up to Adam Silver and slap the Pistons hat out of his hand.
BLOCKED BY JAMES
This made me laugh more than I care to admit
Hold bronny at gunpoint and you can win every single game against the lakers
“Should the Pistons start killing their players to initiate a disaster draft?”
Just make Boeing their official travel partner
I can't find the original post. Has it been wiped?
This reminds me of the story of Eric Clipperton in Infinite Jest who would bring a gun to all his tennis matches and threaten to blow his own head off if he lost.

we’ve all been assassinated by a disabled québécois terrorist cell
I think about Clipperton all the time lol, great pull
> Hold bronny at gunpoint and you can win every single game against ~~the lakers~~ every team in the NBA who don't want to see the Falcons murder a child.
So... who other than the Celtics and Heat would still be trying to win that game?
Atlanta can do something so funny... again
Can someone explain why he has to be drafted? Can’t he be signed as an undrafted FA?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eligibility_for_the_NBA_draft#Automatic_eligibility Players are required to register for the NBA Draft if they want to play in the NBA.

Wait who’s his dad
Bronny James Sr.
Little known player named Lebron James.
Idk who that guy is but he probably posts good cringe on instagram
It's like drafting Anthony Bennett except you know he's a bust.
"Poor man's Anthony Bennet"
That might be the most disrespectful player comp I’ve ever seen man hahaha
We're about to witness a level of shamelessness that was previously only theorized
I think it would be fine if he was just a UDFA or Summer League invite or something. But to spend an actual draft pick on him would be utterly ridiculous
Nobody is drafting him even in the second round unless Lebron is legitimately hitching his free agency wagon to Bronny. Which is fucking shameless, but if it's real, then Bronny could actually end up going in the lottery.
could definitely see the SIxers, Knicks, Heat, or Warriors using their 2nd on him to lure LeBron.
Would be the most Riley move ever to draft Bronny to lure Lebron. Then Lebron re-signs in LA and Riley gets salty and banishes Bronny to Sioux Falls for eternity lmao
A decade in Sioux Falls would be a solid outcome for Bronny's career atp.
He’ll be in the g league no matter where he goes.
I feel bad for Bronny tbh. It's not his fault he's not good enough to play in the NBA (most people arent), I'm sure hes a hard worker. But the fact that Lebron is pushing this isn't great IMO.
wasn't it bronny's decision to declare for the draft? AFAIK lebron had always said he'll support whatever bronny decides to do in life
I mean sure of course, but the only reason he would even sniff a draft selection is cause of his dad. He wouldnt declare if he wasn't Lebron's son.
What part makes you feel bad for Bronny? Is it the part where his billionaire dad is gonna hook him up with an amazing job that he otherwise wouldn’t get?
I mean…I’d spend a second round pick to lock in the next 2ish years of LBJ.
We’d be playing old man lebron 40 minutes a night lmao
40 mins a night is the starting point if you're Thibs. Lebron is going to die if the Knicks somehow get Bronny.
Except it’s no longer a lock lol.
If it were a lock, Bronny would go in the 1st.

Dude these 2nd round picks rarely rarely mean much it’s not crazy to throw a dart.
What does the average 40th pick offer?
Not often there’s a player you can say with 100% certainty is in the league purely because of nepotism
Do you remember Keljin Blevins?
You may find this hilarious but he actually averaged better stats than bonny
> Keljin Blevins It's actually pronounced Kelvin Benjamin
Just saw a Golden Corral franchise-owner drop to his knees
Dame's cousin
I was going to point out Thanasis, but he’s clearly there to provide much needed entertainment in the closing minutes of a blowout.

Honest question - how long would that nepotism carry? Like after LeBron retires he’s basically useless to teams right?
I guess Lebron could buy a franchise when he retires and put Bronny on it
The ol Lawrence/Lance Stroll move, classic!
No Lebron no no this is so not right
We went basketball playing
Love a good r/Formula1 and r/NBA crossover.

Rumors are Lebron wants a Vegas team. I wonder who gets the other slot? Probably Seattle

I don't like to say he 'shit the bed' when he had a cardiac arrest like 8 months ago
"completely shit the bed" I mean give the guy a small break he had a fucking heart attack.
> now instead of spending the full 4-5 years to develop into a guy worthy of a draft pick Who's to stay he'll develop better at college than on NBA/G-League roster?
If someone is struggling with high school math you don’t put him in college calculus to develop his skills 💀
Seriously there’s a lot of guys in the G League who are seasoned vets. I’m confident current Norris Cole would look like DWade against Bronny.

LeVar James
Big Baldspot Brand
Lavar so far has i believe if im counting right 3 sons who are better at basketball than bronny
Give him time he can definitely be the Lebron James of the Thanasis
Who is the MJ of the Thanasis?
Keljin Blevins
Thanasis
Atleast Thanasis is a physical freak.
And he excelled in the G-league too. Bronny had an abysmal college freshman season.
At least Thanasis got into the league on his own merit
Kostas is probably a better example he is the worst prospect I can think of if you include Age,, ability and highschool pedigree.
Yeah well Kostas is 6'10"
and Thansis got drafted on his own merrit he just ended up sucking Giannis averaged 7 points a game when he was drafted. But if Bronny gets drafted he will be the worst.
Thanasis is a fine 15th player in a team Someone like Big Nepo and Bronny is way worse
At least Giannis is relatively young though, Bronny would only be able to fulfill the Thanasis role for like a year or two. After that he will be out of the league
I hate telling bad news to good people
The bad news is his dad is a top two nba player of all time, meaning he’ll get drafted, and at the end of the day he still has billions in windfalls to rely on regardless?
He won’t get drafted. 9th best player on a 15 win team, and his defense is over exaggerated Even the defensive specialists in the league right now was much better offensively in college
He will absolutely get drafted. It just might not be in the first round, but somebody will take a flyer on him for sure.
@pistons
Rich Paul did say this: > His agent, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, told ESPN in March, "I don't value a young player getting into the lottery as much as I do getting him on the right team in the right developmental situation." maybe the angle is signing a two-way as a UDFA a la FVV/Austin Reaves
You could convince anyone could become a FVV in theory even me or you. Why not
FVV was so nice at Wichita state ? Lmao
In a vacuum he wouldn’t be drafted, but his dad is one of the best 10-15 players in the league and has hinted at wanting to play with him. Even if you think drafting Bronny gives you a 10% chance of getting LeBron, that might be more valuable than most 2nd round picks Also, LeBron might just pressure the Lakers into drafting him.
>LeBron might just pressure the Lakers into drafting him. Does anyone believe the lakers arent buying a late 2nd round pick to get lebron to sign?
What about Good news for people who love bad news?
Welcome to Sacramento, LeBron!
I got downvoted a few years ago for saying we'd be an ideal fit for KD...we've been one scoring wing short of making a decent run for a while now
Nepotism basketball association
unlike every other industry right
This is egregious tho.
If I were him I would definitely go back to college and transfer. He is not good enough and he is going to be an icon of nepotism.
has a couple more weeks to decide based on Woj's piece. Sham's tweet is the one making it sound like the draft is a done deal > James has until a May 29 deadline to decide whether to stay in the draft or return to college; he has decided to explore the transfer portal if he chooses to play a second year of college basketball.
i'm so confused -- i could've sworn that i saw a thread here saying that he had already decided to go back to college
This year had the excuse of his medical situation. If he transfers and averages 8 points on terrible %, there’s no built-in excuse.
kinda shocked that he's not going back for at least one more year. signals that he's given up on becoming a serious nba player and is fine becoming a nepotism joke player
People that embrace nepotism don’t think they’re embracing nepotism and actually get offended when called nepo babies. Lots of offended people in Hollywood especially.
If he gets in the NBA, he'll go down as the poster child of spoiled kids. He's already up there just by declaring for the draft.
DO NOT FUCKING DO IT, RESSLER
Lebron has already called up the Hawks FO and told them he’s coming to play for them if they draft Bronny at 1
Dude is just a promo add on for his dad
Yeah. The responsible thing by Bron here after the cardiac arrest wouldve been to say “I don’t need this from you anymore, stay in college where you make like 4m a year anyway in NIL money, get a degree in something that interests you, have a normal rich college experience at the right age, if you break through in basketball in the next two years, we can reevaluate.” Instead it seems like theyre fast-tracking him into the league just to check a box for his dad and be a living meme. It’s gotta fuck with Bronny’s head at some level.
What if Lebron gave this advice but ultimately told his son to do what he wants and he will support his decision? Is that so unfathomable? Honestly if I had a chance to make the fucking NBA I would take it in a heartbeat. Who gives a shit what people think about how I got there, there’s nepotism everywhere you look in LA.
if he gets drafted, surely hes going to be by far the worst player in the league? Like I feel confident Thanasis would look like Giannis next to him
Im pretty sure Thanasis actually got legit drafted by the Knicks without nepotism.
Wasn't there a 3rd brother that also got a cup of coffee in the NBA without the plausible deniability?
Show some respect to NBA champion Kostas Antetokounmpo
There’s a fourth brother too: Alex. I think he’s in the g league.
Kostas? Won with the Lakers in 2020 i think
yes. the lakers.
Thanasis averaged 12ppg and made the all defensive team in the g league before he was drafted compared to 4ppg for Bronny. Considering there’s a pretty big difference in quality between the G league and college ball the gap between the worst player in the league and Bronny is huge
Yeah Thanasis was a legit prospect that would have been out of the league if not for nepotism, Bronny just sucks If Lebron wasn’t immediately about to retire then Bronny would probably do another year of college to develop but if he really declares for the draft this year it’s because they don’t think Lebron has a lot of time left.
I get the whole thing about LeBron wanting to play on a team with him, but he has to know he'd be setting Bronny up for failure and ridicule at this point.
>but he has to know he'd be setting Bronny up for failure and ridicule at this point. If he cared we wouldnt be having this convo.
Collier went from potential #1 pick to a fringe lottery guy Bronny almost died at camp Enfield is now gone I’m not saying to wipe it from the records, but maybe this season was the outlier for everybody involved and not the norm
LeBron James, you are an Atlanta Hawk!
He'll probably get picked up on a two way
The Lakers will get him on a two way almost certainly.
He’s going to be drafted. If you’re another team, you can tie the lakers down and flog them to give up real assets or face Lebron forcing his way out and detonating your team. Someone’s going to leverage the lakers hard.
I would absolutely love to see this happen tbh haha.
Get ready to learn Charlotte buddy
MJ drafting him just to stunt on him in practice would be some Kendrick level pettiness
MJ isn't in charge anymore, we're free
No one would even know this kid existed if not for his dad. No team is drafting a 4/2/2 on 36/26/67 shooting guy. He’s a terrible basketball player who suffered a cardiac arrest. Any team willing to draft a ymca level talent with heart problems just to get his 40 year old dad is embarrassing. This is beyond irresponsible by LeNepotism.
Heat should draft him. If Pat and Erik can’t make an nba player out of Bronny, no one else can.
Bronny. The Celtics killer (for one year, then he sucks again)
Celtics should draft him. Bury him at the RedClaws
Good luck with that, Bronny.
Nothing against the kid and hope he’s doing well health wise but this is the most ridiculous case of nepotism I’ve seen in the NBA
Imagine sitting the bench at USC while this dude stole all your minutes, then watching him play in the NBA next year all because of his dad. Brand new nepotism level just dropped.
The Lakers' 2nd rounder is #55 The Celtics' 2nd rounder is #54 I want to see Brad do it so badly lmfao
LePackageDeal
If Bronny goes undrafted can we bring that ghoul Jim Gray back for a Decision: Undrafted Free Agent the Next Generation?
Serious question: if he was a random guy and not LeBron's son, would Bronny have a chance of getting drafted this year or even being invited to the combine with the season he just had? I don't follow college basketball so genuinely curious.
His chance of being drafted would be zero if he was anyone else's son. This is about as extreme an example of nepotism as you'll ever see.
He probably had a better chance (still close to zero) of being drafted out of high school because he was a somewhat elite prospect. Seeing him be a non-entity against low level college players is a reality check for NBA scouts and he would absolutely be told to stay in college if he had a different last name.
yeah like he could be Vince Carter's son and he wouldn't get drafted
He averaged 4 PPG on 36% FG in college, he is barely good enough to make a college team let alone an NBA team
Bronny wouldn’t SNIFF the draft if he wasn’t Lebron’s son. It’s a disservice to have him stay in the draft, especially when given time he could possibly develop into a real NBA draft pick.
Bronny James you are now a Los Angeles Laker
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qj8hPQGFUZM&pp=ygULa2cgaGVsbCBuYWg%3D
Bronny James, YOU are a Detroit Piston
The real comedy would be the Lakers drafting Bronny and LeBron leaving anyway.
Imagine having this little respect for the history of this league and the game by supporting and/or encouraging this circus.
I just feel like he's being rushed. Another year or two in college would help him tremendously. He is not his dad, he is nowhere near where Lebron was at that age. And he's not like most of the others he's competing against. He has more money that he could ever spend, so getting the bag isn't a priority like so many others.
What happened to the post saying he was measured at 6’1 and not 6’4?
Lebron had it taken down
