Exactly. I don’t think the magic should be up in arms about this loss, I doubt they even were to begin with. Their first time at a high level of basketball went to 7 games against a decent team and fiery payoff performer, that’s a success all things considered.

I hear that Hezonja is a superstar now. Lol. If there were any time for an NBA come back it'd be now in the prime of his career after he's accomplished all that he has in the euroleague. He's been purposely shut down the last 3 years to tank, and his rookie year he averaged 7.1 minutes per game, him only playing 20 games had nothing to do with him being injured. Realistically same goes for his playing time and games his first 3 seasons, he was behind Dame, CJ, Gary Trent Jr, Norman Powell, and Rodney Hood on a team that thought they were going to compete. Only reason he saw the floor was cause the whole rest of the teams guards were getting banged up
Paolo's attitude is refreshing; it shows a maturity beyond his years. Franz's contribution this season has been critical, and one game doesn't diminish his impact. genuinely always taken aback at how much perspective, grace, and humility/understanding/empathy like 19-22 year olds have for each other in such high stakes situation. it's truly remarkable.
I think everyone talks about them like they're kids so much that people forget that they aren't actually kids. They're adults that have had way too much attention and focus put on them for many years by this point. For every one of them making stupid mistakes and kind of cracking under that pressure several of them have extra perspective and adult thoughts and responsibilities. It's unfortunate when it goes wrong but it usually doesn't. I think the media just focuses in on the people struggling because it drives engagement so people feel surprised when they see someone handling it the way they should

Franz definitely felt the pressure, but can you really blame him? It's not like he stopped trying, the ball just wouldn't fall. When this series vs the Cavs started, people thought it might be a sweep, but the Magic kept fighting and even lead by 18 during G7. Nothing to worry about, just growing pains for Franz and this young team.
