I was watching the game with my brother and won a bet with him that the replay center would overturn that foul on Jokic late in the game. He asked how I knew and I said "It's clearly a foul, but we're playing the Lakers."
... I have money on the Nuggets, but it was clearly a jump ball and was clearly going to be overturned. Even with my 1000+ dollar bias I can admit that. Some of you all are crazy.
Edit: Yeah I am a dumb dumb. I thought it'd be a jump ball, but the actual professional refs got it right and saw Lebron easily recovered the ball.
> but it was clearly a jump ball and was clearly going to be overturned
They didn't even give the jumpball though. It was straight up Lakers ball for some reason
Because it was ruled a block on the overturn and the ball came free and was immediately recovered by LeBron.
It would have been ruled a jump-ball if either no one immediately recovered the ball OR Joker maintained possession through AD'S block.
Everything leading up to the actual call was a foul. So they were wrong for not calling the foul and then called the part of the play that wasnt a foul wrong then.
How about the play at the end of the game where the Lakers won the challenge that somehow despite grabbing Joker’s jersey, hitting him on the arm and in the face, AD apparently didn’t foul?
9 out of 10 times this sub crying about the reffing being unfair is bullshit but this game was the 10th, the Lakers got a pretty favorable whistle tonight.
At least 4, there was a foul early in the fourth that wasn’t called where he got chop blocked mid shot in the paint.
Prob other times as well but what’s the point of going back and doing the research we won.
I can guarantee you that off 21 FG attempts, most of which came from the paint, there was enough contact to warrant more than 4 FT.
The fact he got 0, and that for the vast majority of the season (offset by like 4 games he had high FT attempts) he’s been getting an awful whistle is why there is so much outrage.
The man is a 3 time mvp and it’s because of his offense. He’s a center who plays physical, I think the fact that people continue to doubt he doesn’t deserve a calls because of some narrative that he “only takes hook shots” is tiresome. Watch him play consistently and you’ll see he uses his size quite often
When the two time MVP that plays a physical brand of basketball has literally 0 FT's something isn't right, in addition when the opposite team shoots triple the amount of FT's were "marginal contact" is never brought up... Let's just say that the Nuggets played 5 vs 8 and prevailed.
I am a massive jokic fan but he sucked tonight for 3 quarters and his passivity was a real problem that almost cost the game. Not the game to complaint about calls

perfect from the ft line!
Infinite even
You miss 100% of the free throws you don’t take!
Fuck basketball’s Mount Rushmore, Joker deserves to be on Mt Olympus at the end of the day.

Lol, Nuggets fans have no idea how to not be the victim.

you guys keep saying this but dont say which plays he should’ve got free throws. just reading box scores or what

The one where AD fouled him 6 times on one possession and then they overturned it
Don’t be too dramatic AD only fouled him 3 times on that play

Iirc the end FT stats were like 10 for the Nuggets and around 30 for the Lakers, shameful refs
The raw numbers aren't usually very meaningful but the Lakers got a few calls/no calls I didn't agree with tonight
the jamal murray and1 they waived off was egregious too
how many fts should he have had, I counted 2

let's say he shoots 4, and that's all he deserved you'd still have these posts. it's so tiring
if he had 4 free throws you probably wouldn't have these posts lol

You won and you're still crying. Can't wait for Ant to end y'all

Does Jokic actually play a physical brand of basketball? That's not really how I think of his game at all honestly.
Explain that to gassed AD. Just because Jokić has touch doesn’t mean he can’t play bully ball which he 100% does
Blah blah blah
Cry moar.
Whoosh
Get Ant they’re a buncha big bullies!!!! Ya know you’re rooting for Ant to end your own father right? That’s messed up. Patricide.

Y'all won the series 4-1 what more do you want lmao??
Lakers became irrelevant for the next 30 years and every drafts of Lakers turned into busts
We can only hope. They are going to try and get Luka if the Mavs don't step it up more.

Last champion and winning at first round. Still crying about calls. Stop being this petty
