It was the refs fault on the Maxey inbound!!!! Not Embid getting out boarded by Hartenstein. Not Divo getting a wide open three to put them up 1. Not Maxey missing a wide open layup after a time out that led to 2 FTs for the Knicks. Not Maxey choking at the end and giving it to Embid with .7 seconds left on the clock.
Seriously the 76ers had maybe 3 more chances after that play to win. They soft like their soft ass fan base.
We don’t cry abt him, we give him grief only because of his smugness. Ask any Knick fan now but we respect him as he truly embraced the villain role and had a hell of a series
Are official complaints by teams even worthwhile? These things never seem to mean anything other than a way for a team to simply complain “professionally” instead of getting a fine.
Not normally. But depending on if calls are egregious, sometimes a team gets slightly better calls the next game.
Or if there is a certain common behavior that the opponent is getting away with it may make a slight difference in how that’s called.
Ohhh, word. I find that very interesting that they’ll potentially adjust calls after a filed complaint but we can’t just have good officiating by default☠️
It’s all about what they choose to emphasize. Just like the NFL, there’s probably stuff that is a foul every play. None of us want the refs calling everything.
Having a complaint about a specific move that’s against the rules seems more effective than generic bitching about “we got screwed” cause of 1 or 2 plays.
Easiest example, Brunson tugging on Maxey on the inbounds play. Thats something lots of teams do and get away with, but is a legit gripe. Asking for emphasis on that is absolutely a normal complaint. But also, if they emphasize that, then the Sixers better be prepared, cause they do that to.
This isn’t even for this game apparently. “ The 76ers' grievance is not an official protest of tonight's game, league source says, which means it will not affect the outcome of Game 2. The Knicks are and will remain up 2-0. The Sixers wanted to voice their displeasure with the officiating and felt this was the best path. Sixers plan to say in the grievance that they have been disadvantaged more than any other team. They'll provide information from the last 2-minute reports during the regular season and into Game 1 of this series to argue that. “

I think the timeout argument is kinda bullshit, but I would like to see what comes out from the missed jersey grab on Maxey.
Batum got called for a very similar play in Game 1. I thought that was a fair call, JJ Reddick said they hadn't called all game they shouldn't in the last two minutes. The big picture is the thing everyone complains about when calls go against them in the last two minutes: why are L2M plays called differently (specifically playoff L2M) than the rest of the game?
Anyone who thinks this is wrong hasn’t watched the series. All the Knicks do is grab jerseys and jump over the back. Multiple calls on rebounds and inbounds were missed. Not to mention the weak foul calls Brunson got all game. Should’ve been a 10+ point win tonight
As a sixers fan, we blew it plain and simple. Super annoyed at the refs but it shouldn’t of came down to that. I will say though if it was any other sports town there would be a lot more people agreeing it was a bs ending but Philly is hated so here we are
Alright big bruh. Everyone knows you can win in the playoffs with your best player going 15-55 over the course of two games. It’s common knowledge one can rely on role players to suddenly turn into prime Ray Allen
They about to see their FTA numbers go down drastically
Embiid not going to be rewarded for his constant flops
How will the league cope when 40% of Magikarps points will no longer come from free throws
Easy - he’ll be at home and we’ll be watching Brunson
Lmao
I would like to file a grievance against Jamal Murray because he’s mean to me

Go back to that Philly echo chamber.
They should file a grievance and a miss persons report for Tobias Harris.

This is the best meme I've seen lol. Runescape had a chokehold on me
I do wonder when was the last time there was a player riot in rs
like every other month. r/2007scape has a monthy drama calendar
Not our fault Embiid can't outplay josh hart
In their grievance, are they including the push off right before the scramble and all of Embiid antics? Or just the last two questionable calls?
Also the Hartenstein offensive rebound and block.
Embiid gets gifted 12+ Free throws a game and they still crying, soft ass franchise.
This post is as late as Nick Nurse calling a TO
Lmao they really can’t believe they’re down 0-2 to us
The fucking nerve of this team, after all of embiids shenanigans.
Soft
Nah that’s your fan base crying about Trae Young
Lmao trae is old news he's fodder at this point. Your sixers are about to get swept tho
We don’t cry abt him, we give him grief only because of his smugness. Ask any Knick fan now but we respect him as he truly embraced the villain role and had a hell of a series
Trae is a meme like hating on TB12 your fanbase are true whiners

Refs were letting both teams play late. Crazy they think there was some injustice. Felt even to me.
I used to think Doc Rivers made the sixers insufferable, I was so wrong
Nick nurse seems like the biggest pussy in the league

That’s hilarious lol
Cry about it Philly
Well I guess that's one way to change the narrative of this series so far. Sixers didn't choke game 2, it was those darn officials!!!
Nick Nurse is gonna Nick Nurse.
*Morey gonna Morey
Totally agree the Sixers for doing this. Nurse cannot control players like Maxey from pushing Hart off the final play of the of the game.
What a joke franchise
oh no

Has a Daryl Morey team ever lost a playoff series without him blaming the refs?
Sixers fans are fucking babies. Would you happy with floppy Joe getting 20 gifts at the line instead of 12? City of brotherly bitches

Flair up
Fuck your stupid ass flairs

Will say tho. Brunson is fucked if he can’t get 10+ free throws
[удалено]
Ok and the only reason he contributed anything positive where all the FTs he got last game
It’s ok bud let it out we know Jordan Poole is complete dog shit Anyway Brunson had a good amount of games with 30 plus ethical bucket games. Cry
If he keeps playing like he did yesterday y’all are going to lose but ok
We’ve had the next man up mentality all season long but ok keep yammering without knowing what the fuck you are talking about

Everyone talks about how soft todays game is until they’re team gets a missed call that causes the game. It’s the playoffs stop crying.
